I had a dream. A place where men could live and work free from the limitations of the world. A place where no man was limited by governments, by superficial beings, not even gods themselves. This place, was Overcity. Built from the sweat of the working man, a perfect utopia above a corrupt surface city. Isolated, protected, sheltered from the evils of the surface world. A place where men prosper, thrive, and die in peace. I turned this dream into a reality. A physical, tangible reality. It spread out from the starting section, and evolved like a living organism. Citizens prospered, but with prosperity comes trouble. Despite all the efforts to keep governments and limitations from the utopia, they were still present. After the invasion of the Puncher, the citizens required protection. A militia had to be formed. It kept the citizens safe, but at what cost? What cost is safety? Freedom, my friends. Freedom is the cost of safety. With a militia in place, a government was quickly formed to monitor and maintain the militia. This government became something else though. It went from a safe guard working for the city, to the city working for it. It established it's throne of power by limiting who comes in and who goes. No longer was Overcity a free place for all men, it became an elitist society of the lucky. All of these cards slowly soiled the utopia that started it all. It all fell apart when the first civil war broke out. Citizens became angry due to the lack of supply shipments. The cause? The Government wasn't allowing shipments to arrive, they instead wanted to use the shipments of food and water for themselves, not giving to the people. This enraged the people, riots formed. Looting and rioting was all over the great city. First the Mainway Bridge was collapsed. This cut off the government from the rest of the city, but at the cost of cutting off surface traffic too. Like an organism getting it's brain and lungs cut out, it slowly died. Overcity shrivelled up into a much lesser form of itself. Soon the surface dwellers broke in, and dismantled the remaining parts of the city. The former utopian society became abandoned. With the overseer dead, the rest of it became a ghost town. Blood on the walls reminding any visitors of the past glory and downfall of the great Overcity. I don't have any pictures of it when it was in a more completed state (It never was finished) as people left and suddenly when I got back from getting food everyone else's props were gone... The rest of the city just vanished. So I gave it the proper ending it deserved: a bloody ending to a once great utopia that started to become corrupt. After remaking the mainways into glass tubes ( Couldn't possibly go wrong :v: ) my computer crashed. So I didn't take any pictures unfortunately.

And I don't think it's my connection, It's stable to any other server, and it's usually 100 here. [editline]17th January 2013[/editline] Seems like someone / something restarted it, pings seem stable now.

I usually jump on the server for at least an hour, but I wasn't able to get on yesterday due to a host of errors I had. I fixed the reference memory errors and the paged pool memory, now I just have to fix the hl2.exe has stopped working error :suicide:

I'm going to ask that you don't randomly kill people who wander into your home without at least trying to RP it out.

I'm not going to ban you, just try and RP it out next time, and if the person doesn't RP cooperate, then I'll deal with the problem myself. Dying on the server should be a big deal unless it's an accident, glitch, or something along those lines.

This looks really good, I might reinstall Gmod for it in the morning.
