I've been inspired to make a remake of Ovi's city. I'm not going to lie, after playing a bunch of RP maps, I'm noticing how almost all of them are terribly put together, brushwork intersecting, lack of detail, unaligned textures.. I could go into more detail.
Oh, and don't tell anyone I'm doing this, I'm going to have a certain someone beating the shit out of me if I'm not doing what i'm supposed to be.

I recommend that if you're ever interested in trying out the server, you do so on Fridays and Saturdays, because most of us have work, university, school, and during the week we don't have nearly as many people on as we don on the weekend. Though we still have players for sure throughout the week, if you really want the full experience, the weekend is your best shot for more exciting shit. Any time during the week there is always something happening, but most times people are half-busy so it's more passive, which can be just as enjoyable if you don't mind slower paced.
Anyone who has time during the week should try to get on if they want too, it'd be nice to have the server lively every day, not just the weekend.

Just curious, anyone up for changing maps ever week or so? I feel like it could possibly start up more original RP an give a change of scenery. I have a few map ideas if anyone is curious.

I also recommend that you join the Steam Community. I'd rather make an announcement when the server goes down, then try and message 25+ people what happened.

Also got the discussions set up so take advantage of that. It really makes it easier for me to handle if you all start to transition suggestions to the Group threads, rather than here. This is more for advertisement than anything, and I don't want people's first glimpse of the server to be debating what new map it should be.

I'll just point out here that I gently placed you inside a giant prop WHILE you were desperately trying to spam the spawn door with props. And now we've been stuck here in spawn for 5 minutes.

Oh boy where to begin...
You started out as "Little Jimmy". I was riding around on a car a friend made (can't remember name right now sorry) in the back part of town. You know, the one that no one really likes because it has terrible buildings and such. Anyway we both step out and suddenly his car goes flying, and he dies. I turn around and there you are, with a prop. So first we said don't prop kill and such, to which you replied "I am not prop killing. It's called a repulsor, learn to use it." (paraphrased, but generally this is what he said). We tried to explain that it is still unjust murder and asked him why he did it. He said "That's none of your damn business." Why? Well I guess he didn't have a real reason. So then I placed a prop with repulsors outside his door (which has a spawned in lift door so no one can get in) to prove a point. The idea was to just push him back inside when he tries to come out. It killed him, my bad. Either way I make this into a point of "I didn't prop kill you, my repulsors did it :)" which was his logic. Then he runs around with guns, shooting and killing people and such. Everyone gets sick of it, so I turn into an OOC Cop. (Dubbed the "Anti-Idiot Patrol"). I arrested him after ensuring the jail is secure. I ask him if he wants to stop acting like a little child, he doesn't respond. So I walk down to the train station. He is released, and I asked him again. Bullets fired at me, so I arrested him again. All this time he is firing off verbal insults and racist slurs. ("Cracker", "Taco Muncher", etc). It stays in the cycle of me arresting him after he is released for about 4 more times. Then I tell him "OK I am not going to arrest you, giving you a chance to behave properly and stop being an idiot. If I hear reports of you being an idiot, back to jail." He walks out, I obviously follow him with my arrest stick ready in case he does something stupid.. again.. he turns around and pulls out a rifle, then fires and kills me. He is at it again it seems. So after a bunch of chasing I get him back in jail, he tries to break out (screaming about how he escaped jail when he really was just stuck in the window). Honestly I thought you were a decent player. I haven't seen you dick around like a child before, but today was... well clearly I thought wrong. He also propblocked the spawn (poorly, we can get out thankfully) and tried using props in the spawn to kill me so I can't lock him up for being an idiot. Others have screenshots of logs and such, and hopefully they post soon.
Also you said you were recording the whole time? Please post it so we can see the parts of you killing us and breaking the rules? (or are you going to edit those out to portray us as the villains and you as the damsel in distress?)
Sorry for the long post, I am just sick of this guy.

Nice to see that you conveniently left out the part that happened after this where you simply stood at the trainstation waiting for me to be unarrested, so you could immediately rearrest me. Then, after about 5 re-arrests for no reason, I started noticing you building some sort of gate system, probably to prevent me from getting out of the train station.
So let's add a shit-ton of random arrests, and potential attempted propblocking to prevent me from leaving spawn to your list.

The server is incredibly fucked up, you can drop every weapon you have, thus allowing someone to get on when the server is empty, and switch jobs to give themselves the arrest stick, unarrest stick, stun stick, door ram, lock pick, tons of guns, etc, etc. Props don't disappear properly when people leave, etc. The list of bugs goes on.[/highlight][/QUOTE]

Oh and the gate system was to slow you down and prevent you from being able to prop kill me while I arrest you to deal with you safely. It was perfectly traversable, that is until you used props to block everything.
