From now on, turns will be every Friday unless stated otherwise on Thursday.
The turn's pretty much done, but I don't want to release a shitty unchecked turn. I'm going to hold off until tomorrow morning where I can spell check with a clear head. There's absolutely no way it's not coming out tomorrow.

Notable World Events:
Anti war sentiment is rising in many countries, as death tolls start nearing the million man range. The book ’The Last Hurrah’, a story written by one of the many refugees escaping from France about her experiences helping the dying in Toulouse and eventually fighting the Iberians is written and explodes across the United States like wildfire. A movie version is expected within the year, and the book quickly reaches the #1 spot on the New York Times Best Sellers. The book reaches international acclaim, also popular in England and France itself, and many Iberians also circulate the book and speak of the horrors of their governments war.
Similar events proceed in Germany, with protests beginning en masse as German death tolls begin to increase steadily in the east. Although the protests are hardly as large as those being seen in other countries, mostly due to Germanies idea of negotiation being gunning down protesters, the upper class has taken to the movement, mostly as an excuse to ignore the many problems in German society and to make them feel like they’re making a difference. Anti-war groups suddenly see much more funding, and many charities for displaced Russians or Chuvasian orphans begin to pop up.
Meanwhile in Severodvinsk, the meetings go along as planned. Although the talks don’t quite spring as much fruit as the West Russian and Chuvasian delegates hoped for, they do agree that Russia must unify against the German threat. In response, the many volunteer regiments that have been forming receive government support, which includes arming and training from most of the former Russian states. Most of the states dislike each other, but their hatred for the Germans is giving them a common enemy. Also thanks to the meetings, the West Russians find themselves receiving many more weapons and vehicles than they previously had, and the West Russian army reports that they have nearly double weapons than they do men. In response, they begin arming much of their populace.

The 1st Chuvasian Revolutionary Guard, the last remaining native Chuvasian regiment, holds out with support from the volunteers of the 2nd Siberian Free Infantry.
Fronts:
Chuvasia- Tsivilisk continues to be the center of the war as the Muscovites are ordered to press harder and harder on the city. At some points in the city, corpses have literally been piled into walls to block further advance. Chuvasian soldiers report that German planes fly overhead for an attack every five or so minutes, if not more. When the planes are not attacking, it’s artillery. The constant bombardment means that not a single building in the city is untouched.
The West Russians, at the order of their German overlords, begin offering pardon to all surrendering soldiers. Although small pockets surrender, whenever the beleaguered Russians attempt to walk out with their hands held over their head, exhausted and weary Muscovites have a tendency to gun them down anyway. When they are not gunned down, the Chuvasians themselves tend to shoot the traitors in the back. The Russians have effectively restarted the idea of ‘not one step back’.
If that wasn’t bad enough, a small team of surrendering Altai volunteers who had run out of ammo were brought behind Muscovite lines. They proceeded to detonate their grenade belts, killing twelve Muscovites. With the Chuvasians using the event as propaganda and the Muscovites using it as an example of why the enemy can not be allowed to surrender, few Russians who wish to stand down make it to ‘safety’.
West Russia- Although Chuvasia is more or less holding, the West Russian lines have begun to become increasingly stretched as they desperately hold off the assault from the north. The line finally breaks and Muscovite forces have begun pouring south and east along the Volga. Although most of their attention is focused on keeping to the Volga, the Muscovite army has also made a concentrated attempt at splitting West Russia in two. The West Russians have thrown nearly everything they have at stalling the Muscovite advance, but with German support, they’re unable to do much.
In the south, the German army has been granted movement through Tartarstan after agreeing to not invade the country. The rest of the Russia’s denounce Tartarstan, but Tartarstani officials argue it was to protect their own people. Regardless, the German and Muscovite armies quickly break through the southern lines of the Volga and begin marching towards Tsivilisk. The West Russians however have invaded Tartarstan in an attempt to cut German lines.
At their request, the militaries of Bashkortostan and Mari have also invaded the country, quickly overwhelming the Tartar military. Although they have yet to meet Muscovite forces, this has effectively brought the two small Russian countries into the war. All five governments fighting the Germans now plead for the other former Russias to follow suit.
On a footnote in the war, the Finns have mobilized forces to eat up West Russia before the Germans can. The Finns hope to take some land for themselves with minimum resistance, but are surprised to find that West Russia has a military. They advance a moderate amount into Russia but are soon stopped, and the two forces enter into a stalemate. Overall this does little more but stretch West Russian forces even further.
Kazakhstan- The Germans slam their breaks and order a halt in the southernmost theater of war, their forces setting up defensive lines and waiting. The Muscovites however are poorly trained, cocky and have little discipline, most of their southern forces being made up of conscripts as their most veteran troops go north. An entire brigade of Muscovite troops continue unopposed into Kazakhstan.
Rather predictably to German leaders, the Kazakhstani quickly launch a counterattack and take the Muscovite troops off guard. Supply lines are quickly cut as ambushes are launched all along the Muscovite line and within a week, over a thousand Muscovite soldier’s are trapped behind enemy lines. The Kazakhstani soon launch offensives along Muscovite lines, striking the weakest points and avoiding German troops. Although they’re not the most well trained military, they know the land, and the Muscovites soon begin losing ground.
Overall:
The Russian volunteer regiments along with the militaries themselves have begun organizing and seeing large amounts of supplies coming in, but the German and Muscovite militaries have ramped up their concentration on the war and have organized themselves. Although the stalemate is slowly breaking, the war is still nearly completely balanced.

The 17e Regiment d'Artillerie fires at approaching Iberian forces near La Rochelle. The 17e was a training regiment and was not meant for frontline warfare, but they have joined other French units in attempting to hold off the Iberians regardless. They are currently at 1/10th strength.
The Iberian march north continues, with Toulouse falling to Iberian forces and the Iberian military soon reaching the border of Burgundy. Their forces in the west and east have also advanced steadily, the French military unable to hold off against the much larger and well supplied force. The French military is more or less gone and every French military commander is more or less acting independently. In some places, this is disaster, in others, a blessing as skilled French commanders can act without restrictions, however, the lack of supplies and manpower is quickly becoming clear.
As Iberian soldiers marched into Bordeaux however, French forces that had been lying in ambush quickly sprung their trap and killed several dozen Iberians before the Iberians called the retreat. The size of the French force was small, and the Iberians were confident that a concentrated push could knock them out. However, they didn’t expect nearly the entire cities population to turn against them as they proceeded. Spurred on by the small victory and by propaganda from Toulouse, the citizenry of Bordeaux aided the small French forces in the city in expelling the Iberians.
Although this is little more than a footnote on an Iberian dominated war, it sets a dangerous precedent as civilians across France watch their brothers unifying against the threat. In most cities the Iberians enter now, the revolutionary banner flutters from every home, and the Iberians are running into more and more completely deserted towns and villages, the French dispersing into the countryside to join resistance forces.
The French resistance is still unorganized, but several prominent figures, from military to government to regular civilians, have begun organizing cohesive cells in the countryside. The Iberian military has recently been given orders to not attack civilians at any point, and although this helps reduce the amount of propaganda the French can use, civilians hoping to resist are happy to use this against the Iberians by ambushing them and then retreating back into local populations.
While hunting down one of these concentrations of rebels, the Iberian forces made a rather queer discovery. This discovery was a stack of crates filled with weapons. American weapons.

The German government abandons the recolonization in order to focus fully on the war effort, and in order to further support it, orders are given for every single country in Germanies sphere to mobilize. Some, such as Ostland and Poland, have very little choice in the matter and begin arming themselves, others, such as the German puppet governments in Norway and Denmark, agree to the plan but show only lukewarm support at best.
An offer is also extended to the Indian government to allow German militariy bases in the country. This seems unlikely as the Indian government has taken an anti-German stance as of late. Regardless of being rebuffed, the Fuhrer and Goring proceed to tour Germany stating how their military is the greatest force on the planet and how the liberals will destroy the country. Some ‘debates’ are also had, though they’re widely criticized as staged.
Those who criticize the debates however soon disappear.
Protests are beginning despite the government’s attempts to show strength, and the increasingly decadent German populace is taking offense to what they see as a limiting of the rights they deserve as good Germans. Many go missing, but the upper class has taken to the idea and the German government has made some very strong, very rich ‘enemies’, or at least the rich tell themselves this.
Some ‘progress’ in the country is still made however as the turbojet engine catches on in several new German plane designs. Although they aren’t completely popular as of yet, they’ve seen wide use in the commercial field as passenger planes are suddenly going much faster.

The Iberian government has more or less realized their folly and have desperately begun trying to both end the war quickly and with as few dead French civilians as possible. Although noble, this has led to protest in the Iberian military who feel this takes away from their ability to wage war. One of Iberia’s top generals has been removed from office after publicly blasting the intrusion of Madrid in his military planning.
In order to support the war effort, recolonization has been abandoned and industry in the country has been pushed towards the production of tanks, APCs and planes. The military begins to see more supplies and has consequently become more well armed, but the consumer goods industry is beginning to suffer and the government’s treasury is quickly emptying.
Propaganda is distributed proclaiming Iberia as a mighty power which must be weary of foreign powers. The government pointedly ensures that these are only made in Spanish and Portuguese, and especially avoids German translations. Franco tries to assure the populace that the alliance is not surrendering Iberian sovereignty, and tries to remind the people of Germanies aid in the civil war. The people remain sceptical however, and with the looming fear of goods shortages, they’re not in a mood to be happy with the government.
The government also tries to claim the invasion with France is to remove German influence from the border and replace it with an Iberian consulate. The vast majority of Iberians see this as ripe bullshit, especially with the new German alliance, and protests continue.
Breakthroughs are still made on microprocessors as well, and the Iberian research teams discover ways to develop them at far lower costs than they were before. The microprocessor, although hardly cheap or powerful, soon catch on and the mass sale of them helps ease the burdened Iberian economy.

The military war games continue, and several East Russians get the idea to drag in old German surplus and use those as training targets. The models are woefully outdated and have not been in use by the Germans for years, but East Russian soldiers enjoy writing expletives about German mothers on the side of the tanks and then singing songs from the old Patriotic War as they blow them to bits. This might seem inconsequential, but it shows a marked improvement in morale than the demoralize Russian militias that had made up most Russian militaries only a few years ago.
The German consulate of course reacts with small amounts of outrage, but East Russian support is now steadily against the war, and the East Russian government's position is made clear as they fortify their western border and organize an officially sanctioned regiment of volunteers to fight in the west. The soldiers are given a month of training before leaving for Chuvasia, and join the dozens of similar groups holding the line in the west. The other Russias are happy to see the East Russians moving to support, and open their borders to help facilitate the troop movement.
Civilians and soldiers who aren’t currently working in factories or training for the war are sent out to build even more factories. The civilians work with vigor and factories soon begin polluting the landscape en-masse, the state run company KMDB pumping out thousands of cheap and poor quality assault rifles.
Unemployment is reaching all time lows with the new factories, but their cost is rising steadily as more and more weapons are produced. They are still covered by oil exports, but many fear that they’ll begin spending too much.
Finally, a large controversy occurs when a leak in Gazprom shows that nearly 40 billion Rubles have gone missing from their budget. The populace has other things to worry about, but some economists began warning of corruption in the huge corporations springing up.

The English government continues trying to mollify the populace with a massive rally dedicated to English heritage, as well as a series of lavish St. George’s Day festivals and other celebrations. Although people come out in droves, a hint of tension fills the air. This fear proves all too real as a bomb goes off during a rally in London, killing the mayor and several other politicians, as well as nearly sixty people. English anti-fascist groups take credit for the bombings, and the secret police deploy en masse, making nearly two hundred arrests. Despite this, the perpetrators are not yet found.
Public reaction to this is mixed. Some show it as a sign that the countries fascist policies must end, and others claim that this proves that the anti-fascist rebels are nothing but terrorists. Although English support is still in the anti-fascist ballpark, it certainly does little to help their image.
The military also undergoes more purging. German sympathizers are tracked down and forcefully removed from office, civilians coming out to watch officers be escorted out of their barracks at gunpoint and into local jails. Several escape and ship to the mainland, and find asylum in Burgundy and Germany where they very publicly and very loudly begin denouncing the English government. The fact that most of them are German or speak German helps.
Finally, many factories are subsidized to improve production. This does indeed work and more and more guns begin to find themselves in the arms of British soldiers, but the longer the factories run the more inefficient they seem to get, and many worry they might see similar problems to East Russian Gazprom (who coincidentally, is starting to sell England most of its oil).

Two regiments of Gurkhas are picked up by Australia to ship off to America in order to support the local ‘stop the fascists’ campaign. Many begin naming an alliance of nations between India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and America as the last free countries on Earth. Local newspapers proclaiming “The New Allies!” are very popular.
Everything about Germany and Iberia’s foreign policy is then set on by politicians like sharks on blood. The Indian government manages to denounce both invasions of Russia and France, and fascism, as well as working in time to tell off both nations attempts at recolonization. This culminates with a small riot beginning in Mumbai ending with several German nationals dead at rioter hands. The German embassy is of course shocked, and demands action be taken.
To further support the growing idea of a New Allies, the United States begins sending funds and support to help further the struggling Indian economy. With the increase of funds and American aid, the New India program goes for another run and focus is made on updating infrastructure such as rail wars and power grids. The closer focus and an actual source of money helps ensure it works this time, and it is predicted that with so much cheap labor, India will be able to match the American highway system in less than five years.
The Indian government continues to proclaim this is the beginning of progressivism, and despite slowness, that it will come. Many are still hesitant, but the growing spite for Germany is giving a common enemy that the Indian people are willing to join their country against.

(Shit from last game since so far, nothing has changed)
-Further expansion brings in more of the surrounding populations under Liberian organization.
-State nationalization of resources continues to be the norm. While this may slow growth and expansion by competition, it provides security and efficient management that the largely impoverished population craves.
-Liberia makes quite a name for itself in neighboring regions. Many tribes and towns organize to join Liberia. Immigrants from afar come to seek labor, housing, food, and security under the Liberian flag.
-A regularly trained police force gives them what they need. The force, as well as government administrations, handle efficiently and effectively the differences between national and tribal groups.
-Liberia soon seems to become more of a de facto confederation of ethnic groups, united together under the banner of protection and welfare.
-Public schooling is established, promoting education by the state and jobs after the end of the education. Skilled labor from abroad may be needed to expand the program beyond a few major cities, however.
-Medical expansion is established, with hospitals and medical experts given top priority of the social dollar. A minimum universal healthcare is granted.
-Basic infrared guidance missiles are created, both surface-to-air and air-to-ground.

The military continues to train, as well as supporting the construction of infrastructure. Most of this ends however as the Finnish army is sent west to take some land from the Russians. Finnish command highly underestimated Russian military power, and although they made early gains due to their surprise attack, the army has stalled and movement along the front has now stagnated. The Finns have however taken the northern Russian islands without much contest, and it’s looking like they’ll keep them.
The president also sends the message “Our government it not totalitarian or fascist. The actions taken by our president were the source of turmoil at first, but they are for the interest of the people. I may operate with force sometimes, but no one ever built a superpower on the backs of tolerance and friendship. The first few years must be hard but they are necessary for later more prosperous years. Choose to believe me or not, because your must know deep down you will always have a sanctuary here” to the other Scandinavian governments. An insulting letter is made by the prime minister of Sweden where he even has the gall to insist that Finns aren’t Scandinavian, and few are mollified.
The Finns then have the nerve to denounce invaders who start random wars, and this does little but further show blinding hypocrisy as Finnish troops continue their advance into Russia. The government then begins to assess the competence of itself, and finds that it’s the single most competent government on Earth with an efficiency rating of nearly 200%. Independent studies find this to be much lower, but suggest that Finland sorely lacks any real figures to replace those many performing poorly.
Funding is invested into industry, military and education and although all three improve as usual, the government is finding itself stretched rather thin. With plenty of money simply vanishing due to the government's incompetence and so many things to fund, the treasury begins to empty rapidly.
The military sees an investment in winter warfare equipment, which is rather redundant seeing as that’s almost all they already had.
Some dickhead politician is taped hailing some guy named Awenger to the president, and footage shows the president prostrating himself to the north as he also hails Awenger. The Finns accept their government has gone insane.
Despite the long list of failures, Finland is stabilizing. Although thousands of Finns have abandoned the country, the majority are now gone, and those that are left are unable or unwilling to leave. As a result, disloyalty to the government is generally at an all time low, and will likely stay that way for a while, but many skilled laborers are now gone.

The Mexican military begins placing an emphasis on resisting foreign invasions, like perhaps from its northern border. New focus is put into anti-aircraft weaponry and irregular warfare. This further erodes the Mexican chain of command and discipline, but units begin to learn how to effectively fight independently of one another or without a high command, as well as some training in how to deal with such militaries.
A free trade union is also attempted, but the government is also marginally fascist in a primarily free area and soon begins subsidizing industries like corn. In response, Mexico is the sole member of the union. In an attempt to dissaude these silly ideas of fascism, some trials are held against party members. Coincidentally, all are found innocent besides some very beaten up opposition party members who admit to being drug traffickers before disappearing forever. The government then wins reelection with a nearly 100% vote.
Drug trafficking increases even further, despite Mexican ‘attempts’ to stop it. Work is done with central American countries to try and halt the advance, and some begin warming to the idea of the free trade union, but then the Mexican government decided to steal the assets of all foreign mining and oil companies in the countries and these Central American countries have understandably decided not to be friends with Mexico anymore.

The US begins to formalize their alliance with Australia, (nicknamed by many as the New Allies) and has begun a collaborative aircraft design process with the Australians. The US has also made a declaration of praise to Australia, thanking them for their steadiness in a time of increasing extremism.
In response to the growing swarm of immigrants from east and south, the states have appointed two leaders for both the Finns and the Mexicans to help coordinate efforts. The Finn is the former minister of the Finnish treasury and the Mexican is an old army officer, and both quickly begin listing out problems both communities are facing. After some deliberation, it is decided that shelters are to be prepared across the southern US to support the refugees.
Although permanent residence is disallowed, effectively barring the Mexicans from citizenship (much to their dismay), they are offered low paying jobs maintaining infrastructure in the southern states. This costs quite a bit of taxpayer money, and several American construction agencies are feeling the pain of the new workers, and many Republicans have denounced the move as selling the nation to them damned Mexicans.
The Silver Shirts have responded especially harshly, and many Mexicans are beaten or outright murdered, and the murderers normally find shelter in southern towns. All of these immigrants are drug searched, and although some are caught, there are simply too many coming in for the stretched thin police forces to handle.
And just like everyone else, the US begins militarizing. A large force of transport ships is built with some smaller artillery and battleships. The requirements the government give are huge, and this project alone begins draining the US treasury quickly. The ships are filled with structural and design problems due to the haste of being built, and are generally of mediocre quality, nobody having the time to design modern ones. However, there’s a lot of them, and the military hopes to transport at least 10% of the armed forces by the end of the year.
In the meantime, the rest of the military plays wargames in West Colorado. Australian and Indian troops, as well as a regiment from Canada, begin practicing together in fighting everything from mountain warfare to amphibious landings. Many parts of this are rather publically shown, and some see that several of the buildings they are breaching or the layouts of the neighborhoods match those of French cities such as La Rochelle. The drilling is constant, and the four militaries, who had been rather mediocre after their forced downsizing in the last war, begin to see marked improvement. There are other government participating, but they wear no patches and they are not publicly named.
Morion Air Base and Naval Station Rota are closed down soon after, and the missiles they host are quickly locked down and shipped out. The Iberian military makes some threatening moves as they follow the Americans closely, but eventually the Americans manage to leave Iberia peacefully. It had come to the point where several American soldiers had been forced to fire warning shots at approaching Iberians, and thankfully, nobody was hurt.
Further north, the American red cross begins shipping out food and medical supplies enmasse. One of their largest recipients is the beleaguered defenders of Bordeaux, and the American supplies are one of the only reason the city is still standing. Iberian forces have taken pot shots at the aid workers, but due to the new Iberian rules of engagement, they generally move unmolested.

The border between France/Iberia and Italy is fortified. Refugees are generally turned away and the Italian government ensures the war in no way meets Italy. While a bit harsh, it does help prevent refugee problems and besides the occasional mortar strike, the border guards remain unmolested.
Official disapproval is also made about the actions of Iberians in their recent war, but the government is oddly quiet about Germany. The Iberian embassy expresses their concerns but is ignored.
Conscription also finds its end, and instead is replaced by free higher education and better healthcare services. Propaganda also begins to circulate, stating a true citizen would serve his country. The military sees a large amount of its men leave and is shrunk by nearly 25%, but stabilizes soon after.
New helicopter designs are also looked into, and the Iberians hope to have finished developing the experimental EM-1 Aquila by 1966.
A small protest in Turkey against colonial rule is mostly ignored.

The Forbidden City is ‘bought’ from China in exchange for free trade and open borders. China accepts, but does not move their garrison out of the city. The city is officially Manchukuos, but effectively Chinese.
A purge of Communist elements takes place with Japanese supervision. Most are already gone, but what few sympathizers remain are removed forcefully. The Japanese appreciate the action, and supply shipments begin to increase.
With the increased supplies, the Manchukuons pop open their stock of old WW2 surplus and begin replicating the MP34 and ZB vz. 26, making cheap knockoffs called the the Zheng Xiaoxu Type 64 SMG and the Jinghui Type 86 LMG. There isn’t much industrial base to make many, but they’re there.
A happy little film is also made about Mongolian-Manchurian grasslands.

Curious as to why my plan hasn't slowed Iberian troops from getting into La Rochelle.

Regardless, I assumed the QRF would have more an effect. My mistake, I guess.

It's the only reason that the Spanish haven't pushed up and taken the west, and the only reason Bourgone still stands.
Wait, what happened to Japan?
Wait, what happened to Japan?
What did I do.
I thought someone was playing as Japan.
I just want the homeland to be stable and prosperous.

Nobody sent a turn for them.
I just want to remove German influence from France but no one believes me. As a show of good faith I will be releasing Iberian controlled France tentatively as a protectorate and allow them free elections. I will also cease the war with France, provided that America & Co back the fuck off.
Who here would allow the Manchurian Film Assosciation to shoot a documentary? My current shoots are going to be in Russia for a war documentary and in the Bonin Islands for a documentary on whales and their cultural effect.

Germany cannot promise the safety of any journalists in Russia, they may have a... accident.

You're basically admitting to committing a war crime here.

Russia is a war zone, I'm just saying that they may get hurt so they shouldn't bother with it for a quick buck.
We're not barbarians, when have we ever killed innocent people?
Holo, the Wise Wolf: I'm planning on getting enough cash to buy Toho Studios to make a film about the Russo-Japanese War
Cyrus the Great: why is your entire purpose in this rp to make films
Holo, the Wise Wolf: When Pu-Yi dies they are taking out all of his internal organs and replacing them with film reels
Holo, the Wise Wolf: They shall mummify him and drill a hole in the top of his head
Holo, the Wise Wolf: And then they shall put a camera in his body with the bit that makes the movies come out on the screen in the hole in his head
Cyrus the Great: im not sure if im willing to do that
Cyrus the Great: that is pretty horrifying
...that sounds like a human dalek or something.

It's Cyrus doing Stalingrad V.2.
I'd be surprised if I didn't end up writing war crimes. Whenever I get to writing that war it's like I turn into Michael J. Fox.
I am following this with interest.
Been awhile since anybody's posted.
I'll be getting my turn in today (Thursday) assuming it's still active.
Yeah turns due today
