I agree it is a landmark and shouldn't be touched, I also felt that way about passies castle base but that was destroyed a couple weeks ago and it's a damn shame. I personally think there are a few bases that should be off limits but some people are just assholes. I think I'm gonna head to vow tonight and see if I can help out.

I hope that is a joke. It is a nice place, I don't like the griefing but that is always the risk and eventuality, it is bringing people together now too.

Tools would be best. There's the desert next door to get sand from, its alot of digging cobble mostly.

It would be cool if there was a 24/7 guard on the area, people log on to work around town at different time zones to insure there are 3 or 4 people in the town at any given time
thats not a bad idea, but....it would take a dedicated group i think. plus it takes no time at all to completely screw over anything on 2b2t, but takes forever to rebuild.
edit- also, TimeCollapse and rustlemastur are the most recent destroyers; as i was digging out the pyramids earlier, they showed up with more lava and TNT and started going to town.

Just checked out the damage. Doesn't seem to bad, they beheaded most of the sphinx's and ruined a lot of the crops, but I don't see any new lavacasts. I may hold off on starting the repair, set up camp nearby and wait to see if they come back. Start stockpiling diamonds for picks.

The ban reason on Sato did explain it, and your thread got locked for the reason 'duplicate' which also explained that one.
