[B]Update on the Library:[/B] :class:

I got a good portion of the first floor done, divided into two large rooms.

First is the coordinate room. Go in there, take a sign and place it on the stone "bookshelves" with the name of the location and the coordinates. On the back wall, since the back of the building faces a cliff, I chose not to put windows. This allows the opportunity to make that whole wall area a massive map of spawnville. I will allow the residents of the area to make the frames and maps and fill in all the blanks. I'll be leaving quite a large area.

The opposite room is the "magic" room, for brewing potions and public enchantment table. I've built a small garden inside with carrots, melons and reeds so to have the basic ingredients for brewing at hand. On the other side of that room will be for an enchantment table. The hope is to have it piston operated so you can choose lower level enchantments vs higher level enchantments by blocking some of the bookcases.

Since there's already a building with a nether portal in it (not far from the library itself, either), this Library won't need a portal (unless the residents of the area choose to relocate it to library. [I]if so, please notify me so I can modify the building layout to accommodate[/I]). As such, the upper level will have a room connected to the Spawnville rail line (attributed to Charkley for connecting it when it's possible).

I will also build a "museum" room up there. In the museum will house the Dragon Egg from the End, chests of books noting historic events (you guys write and fill them) and any other unique items worthy of being seen by all of the server's residents (we can figure out what's worthy later).

[U]Things I need help with (put these in the chest next to the building:[/U] :ohno:

I need a massive amount of the following items (10+ stacks each):

-Spruce logs so to make the roof
-Sand so to fill in all the windows with glass panes. Maybe dye as well to make them pretty
-Birch logs so to make the floor

I need a not-so-massive amount of the following items:

-Wool for paintings to decorate
-Clay for pots to decorate
-Four brewing stations for the brewery
-One enchantment table
-Glowstone + redstone to make redstone lamps for light (torches are ugly!)

Things the residents of spawn will have to refill after completion:
-Brewing supplies
-Blank books to enchant
-Signs for the coordinates room
-Mining carts for the rail system
-lapis for enchanting

[U]For guys new to Max No Relax, a short history:[/U] :eng101:

The original library was first built on the 2nd server reboot, also known as the "best map" (and longest running). It served as a hub for the whole server as it housed spawn's nether portal. Without a dynmap at the time, finding everyone became tedious so I built a "coord room" to record notable locations. It was called a library because of this one feature (people can go in and look up stuff). It also housed a few chests of actual written books by users who kept a diary of their day on the server. When the player died, another would "sign" the book, preventing further writing and place it in the library for others to read. A "book of the dead" was attempted at one point, 1 book for each week attempting to in-server keep track of who died and how, but unfortunately those who had book upkeep died themselves and so forth no one gave a shit about that :v:

I'm starting up a metal working shop so I can sell stuff for goodies. I'm kinda all over the place though as to the value of stuff because big ticket items like armor are simultaneously more and less valuable due to iron's common-ness and the danger of dying. I'll probably end up making an enchanting table or something and enchant armor for le-max val-u.

I just died from lag. I was using lava buckets when it suddenly disappeared for me and it wouldn't re-appear if I used my lava bucket.
All of a sudden it appeared right in front of me after right clicking for a while and I died from it; I don't think this is fair, would it be possible to be unbanned?

This bug has been around for years, it's why you should be wary of using lava, not to mention using a fire resistance pot.

In future when this happens place a block where you just clicked the bucket. You may lose your lava but you won't die.
