World Events
- The President of the United States speech gave rise to movements against the Iron Curtain, dissatisfaction among the Eastern Bloc has expressed a time for change. Several protestors have raised their concern to unite people from both sides. People are seen marching against the wall, holding hands and music artists such as David Bowie and Phil Collin playing in West Berlin.
- On September 13, Scavengers open an old radiation source in Goiânia. In a few days later radiation has leaked out and spread to the urban area.
- The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty was signed by President Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev to put the closure on ranged missiles against both countries.
- Birth rates in the USSR began to fall as the country is placed in a situation between Ashens and population upheaval. However, aid from UN members take in as people receive supplies containing food and water while the Government receives economic aid. The country would need every bit as the incident takes a toll on the population.
- Ukrainians evacuate the country as the situations goes critical. Refugees head for Romania and Poland. Per each country's policies, each individual are checked and sent to camps.
- A major military operation in the center of Ukraine takes place as USSR mobilize divisions into the zones.
- The Egyptian-Libyan War sours as Egyptian forces take Al Benghazi after a series of bombardments and engagements with the Libyan Army. Gaddafi has expressed outrage.

- The Government of Poland has enacted a no tolerance policy regarding radiated people and have turned sick refugees away from the border. In addition, Polish military are advised to shoot on sight towards people deemed Mutant.
- Several members of the United Nations have given abundant amount of supplies to the Warsaw Pact after the disastrous effects of Chernobyl.
The months of Ashens has placed a considerable amount of harm against the Earth. The Government of Ukraine has succumbed to the effects of social unrest and chaos. With the mutants swarming the cities and towns civilians evacuated from their homes. First responders experienced the swear horrors among the streets and Ashens clouding the areas. Clean Up Units alongside military units fought the mutants to a standstill. But the damage was already done. By the time they were just dealing with the waves among the mutants the environment made them retreat.

- A few months ago, the country called for its neighbor states to meet up. The President of Burkina Faso announced the establishment of the Sahelian Union as the successor to Liptako-Gourma.

The countries selected in red are official members of the Union. The countries in blue will enjoy relaxed tariffs, defensive cooperation, and assistance in culling Ashens, if they wish to join. Any one of the blue countries can become a full member state. Faso's recent developments in food crops and paramilitary forces have earned them recognition in improving their state at a quick pace. By joining Sankura has assured West African leaders they will not lose their positions of power. With impressive qualities the country has earned members into the Union by all accounts. The threat of Ashens has continued in Europe and has not gone unheard of in Africa. Major states have grouped together and gave reason to join the Sahelian Union to prevent the spread in their homes.

- The development and improvements within the Faso military has given reason for the government to send flyers to the public. With tension equaled opportunity. People volunteered and signed up in recruitment centers. With soldiers filling the ranks, paratroopers were recognized as the ideal standard. Recruits were put into camps and trained by officers.

- The country begins to export cattle and crops to foreign markets such that of America, providing a service to the global market. While exiled workers from Rhodesian, Libyan, Asian Ugandan bankers, and black politicians to come back. With new improvements to the region, they did. Ouagadougou, Bobo-Dioulasso, and Ouahigouya were set up with economic zones to provide access to transportation, tourism as urban planners made sure it was attractive to foreign investors. The goals was to put these three cities as the role models for the outside. In these zones are to make a large education reform for students. Teachers are given a large salaries to teach student the proper usage of French and English to put abled people to the globe.

- The government has ordered their military to transfer to Czechoslovakia and Hungary from the oncoming radiation. The military were outfitted with radioactive protection and ammo bags. The amount of refugees from Poland and Ukraine was beyond staggering. People carrying excessive luggage and kids holding small toys. Tanks and artillery are mobilized to the eastern and northern borders. Those proven aggressive were easily handled but the sight of a Human transformed was never easy. The mutants were dealt with, with no wounded in the process. Refugees are safely taken in and checked.
- Workers dressed in face masks haul over disposed materials and are carried in trucks, sent to the recycling centers for preserving supply. The Communist Party have received reports concerning the situation: to say the radiation looking bad was a massive understatement. Members of the Party marched to Ceaușescu, demanding he put the boot down. Areas affected by radiation are given evacuation orders and local radios tuning in to inform the public about these evac orders. Meanwhile, in debt the radio has also encouraged people to spend supplies in small businesses. Romania starts employing aquaculture through seafarers. The Romanian Government has advised rural areas to prioritize on growing maize, corn, and beans. Farmers planted crops close together, keeping watch, worrying day by day this land may become lost.
- Romania has communicated with its neighbor countries such as Hungary, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, and Albania to strike up a trade pact. With Ukraine fallen, the major event has made a massive wake up call to the Warsaw Pact.
- Romanian military are encouraged to set up infantry packs to encourage spread of fire against mutants in packs. To help with these tactics, infantry are given ammo backpacks to aid with a LMG.

- The grow for unification increases while Ashens takes Ukraine by storm. Weizsäcker has stressed to remove the wall, agreeing on Ronald Reagan's speech. Reserved Units are called in to fill logistical lines and modernizing communication and supply routes.
- Germany attempts to catch up to France and UK's computer level. While not up to the level of UK and France have come close to replicating automation in computers. Programmers and coders have developed programs capable of fulfilling orders and demands, these things were be called computing bots. Meanwhile the country has created a research organization based on studying and combating the effects of Ashens. With this scientists are sent to the organization and would like several subjects based on the radiation in Chernobyl to figure out a breakthrough. The government gives funding to biomedical organizations to produce better radiation treatment to victims
- The government has established a worker's program for the unemployed to get jobs. With this program the unemployed will work in the program and get paid per hour by doing community work for victims of the Ashens threat. The workers are advised per instruction to follow strict protocol as a catch. Meanwhile a volunteer program is made to increase public readiness of the inevitable threats or at least the possibility of invasion. Children and Young Adults are prioritized over the old and are taught how to find out the signs of radiation and what to do in a situation. The months have produced good result with parents getting their kids to make good habits. Meanwhile the government has funded local German artists and promotes art museums to rise public morale and showcase Germany achievements in computer science. While the effects were faded unlike that of United Kingdom, their technology would surely come useful later.

The Government of Portugal has reached out to West Germany to talk efforts in advancing computer technology to help combat the situation in Europe. Germany are given a choice to interact while the offer is still on the table. With this joint research program both countries will participate.
- With poor defense and the possibility of an Ashens invasion the Ministry of Defense has spoke up efforts to increase military. In the months, conscription efforts were doubled, to an extra 100,000 personnel elevating the total amount of Armed Forces personnel to 233,992 (with the Army having 118,000 total personnel) and reintroduces the "Caçadores" companies to serve as shock troops with 20000 new recruits allocated to form the first battalions.

The discovery of uranium during a geological study amazed teams down in the region. As a result research teams were sent down to for study and hoped they could get something out of the site. By January 1, groups of people were able to successfully extract several of the uranium and began to set up mining for years to come.

UK companies such as Bibby Line have transported stocks of oil and food for USSR citizens while France have begun setting up development for the next line in computer technology.
- The new amphibious ships begun to be tested out for training by the Royal Navy. Despite initial confusion they were largely fitted for the right job and can be easy to store.
- Work with France have sprung out new designs for electronics, intending to incorporate with vehicles and civilian use. By the new year several companies based in England have patented a design for GPS use in civilian cars, working with the auto industry to put out new cars for 1989.
- The country has helped citizens to find jobs but with the fall of Ukraine and the rise of mutants have led the Ministry for an opportunity. The government has set on a new campaign to encourage citizens to volunteer on efforts to help Europe contain the spread of Ashens. In return this will generate reputation and create jobs. With the fall of Ukraine the people of the UK quickly rose to action, attempting to find effort to aid Europe indirectly.

- America has commenced a deal with the Sudan People's Liberation Army, sending weapons regarded as reliable and giving financial support. - America has continued to develop new technology for the military in anticipation of Libya. A strategical aircraft and military transports for infantrymen. R&D has scheduled the new transport designated the 'V-22 Osprey' by November 1988. Meanwhile the B-2 Bomber is set for first flight by 1989.
