Frank lowered his gun and looked at Voronov. "Nice shooting."
"Thanks. I've had plenty of practice." she says, her tone serious as she looks glances over at Frank. She steps out from behind the door frame, walking over and firing a shot into the corpses of the men that had attacked them. Making sure they were dead.
"Frank, grab that chair there so I can check your wounds. Viktor, help me get Rodney on the table over here. Lets patch them up so they don't bleed out."
Frank grabbed the chair Voronov pointed at and sat on it. He could feel the adrenaline running out.
"Man, this fucking boat..."
In what seemed an automatic motion, Dave slowly grabbed his trusty V-Cutter and the first of what hopefully would become many cigars smoked in Sanskirt.
As he lights it up and carefully places it in his mouth, already fore-tasting the stream of tobacco coming in, he begins walking out of the boat and into the adjacent streets.
He needed to call that phone number, and he had to do it now.
What better time than now to go for an exploratory walk around town, then?
[I'll do the rest tomorrow, it's midnight around here. Got to think of a clever way to shoehorn THE BUFFGUY in :v: ]

[How about the BUFFGUY meets Ari on the plane? A good way to introduce two new characters at once and have a rapport between them.]

[I take it they have payphones at the airport?]

[Definitely. It's 1984 and in an international airport, they will have payphones.]
Voronov comes over and checks out Frank's back. Yeah, two gunshot wounds. She examines them, looking closely.
"Take your vest and shirt off." she says, drawing her trench knife from the sheath in her boot. "Gotta dig the two bullets out."
She reaches over, grabbing the towel that was still on the bar, then rolls it up tight. "You need to bite down on this." she says, handing it to him.
"Fine." Frank takes his shirt and his vest off and puts the towel in his mouth.
[Since Viper is asleep probably, I hope he doesn't mind me NPCing Viktor.]
Moments later, Voronov had plunged the tip of the trench knife into Frank's back. All you could hear after a minute was "One." followed by a dink, then "Two." followed by another dink. Quick and clean.
She fetches some gauze, bandages, and duct tape from one of her bags upstairs, then proceeds to patch Frank up.
Finally, she backs away, rubbing her hands together. "There. Keep those bandages tight and clean, and I'll change them every so often." she says, before walking over to where Rodney was.
She does the same to Rodney, after Viktor helps her put him on the table. Clean bandages and gauze, and some strips of duct tape. "Like I told Frank, keep the bandages tight and clean." she tells Rodney, as she helps him up.
Ari lands at the airport and calls Julia. "Hey, it's Ari. Can you pick me up at the airport?"
Slowly walking down the street, drawing from his cigar every once in a while, Dave started making mental notes of the places he walked past.
What particularly stuck out to him was this derelict two story building, from which many shady characters were coming in and out of, some visibly carring weapons with them.
"Maybe later" he thought, as he focused once more on the road lying ahead of him.
"I need to call this number first."
Soon, he was distracted by yet more movement. But this time it seemed to be a somewhat cleaner place.
Specifically, an airport.
"Bingo.", he growled, as he spotted a payphone.
As he walked right up to it, he began searching the front pocket of his OD fatigues for the fatidical note. As he reaches the payphone, he grabs a token from another pocket, pushes it in, and starts dialing the number.
As the other end of the line rings, he spots a man carrying a suitcase hurrying out of the airport.
"HEY, YOU!", he shouts, recognizing the symbol on the young man's coat.
Ari turns and looks at the shouting man in confusion. "Um, are you talking to me?"
"Coming right now." Julia takes one of the jeeps and drives to the airport.
...
After arriving, she parks the jeep, walks inside, and then realized she doesn't even know what he looks like.
Luke gritted his teeth and turned "Where the fuck is Julia?"
Julia then had another realization and remembered that she forgot to leave a note for everyone back at home base.
"The blonde? I don't think she came back with the others." says Voronov, looking over at Luke.
"Forget it, I'll resume my call from earlier. Until then be ready as soon as you can and take some morphine because we're hunting this bastard down."
Dave turns his whole body to face the young man, ignoring the phone he's holding in his hand.
"Yes, I -AM- talking to you" he says, in a slightly irritated tone, having seemingly failed to scare him.
"Where'd you get that patch on your coat?"
He pauses, sizing up the young man whilst drawing from his cigar.
"I've seen one like that in 'nam... and you don't quite look like a vet to me.", lightly smirking as he finishes his sentence
Ari looks down at the patch. It's a standard IDF patch that all troops are issued. "I got it while serving in the IDF. I was in Lebanon. Why are you interested?"
As Frank was being treated by Voronov he heard something he didn't like hearing. "Dohoho, look at you. Big man acting tough for the lady. I gotta admit Frankie, you know how to pick them. Or they pick you?"
"One." *dink*
"How was that firefight huh? Remind you of way back when? When you and I first met?"
"Tow." *dink*
"She's done. Speedy. I should leave too. Talk to you soon Frank." The voice disappeared just as quickly as it had shown up uninvited. "Maybe I should visit a shrink one of these days." Frank thought. Frank took out the towel from his mouth. "Thanks."
"Lebanon?" he whispered in stupor, with a wide smile on his face
"I remember seeing a general wearing something like that, during the war."
He figured making new friends would be the smarted thing right now.
"Hard son of a bitch he was. I don't think I've ever seen him flinch even once. Who knows, maybe you're just as tough as he is?"
A pause. Seems as if the gap between the two could not be filled. The kid might have been young, but he was not easily impressed. He wanted to break the ice.
"Name's Dave, by the way." as he reaches out for a handshake.
Ari shakes Dave's hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Ari. What are you in Sanskrit for?"
Julia hears Ari greet his name, and walks over to meet him.
"You're Ari?" she asks.
Ari turns. "Yeah, I'm Ari. You're the woman who called about my dad?"
"Business." he slowly says, as he turns his head to look at the woman who just greeted the young man, whose name apparently is Ari
Voronov looks at Frank, and gives him a thumbs up. Her head snaps around when she hears the word 'morphine' come from Luke's mouth.
"Right. I'll give both of them a dose." she says. Alright, Voronov...hold it together. Don't need to relapse.
She looks down, "Yes... I am. Nice to meet you Ari." she looks to the other man, who she gives a wide eye towards, "And... whi might you be?"
"Oh, hello. My name is Dave. I've just met Ari and he seems like a cool kid."
He almost forgot about his cigar, to the point he hadn't drawn from it yet.
George walks out of the bathroom, a bandage around the left side of his head, "Fuckin' gooks..."
[leave this shit until roll fizzlebeef gets here]
He eyes the new guy before his own eyes widen with realization. "Hey, I think I've heard of you. Yeah, I remember a couple stories 'bout a muscly guy who became somethin' of a legend in my unit. Hell, you fit the description perfectly."
