It would certainly open more space for more skyscrapers. Maybe even an industrial port on your northern tip where I can easily sail to from Mallen-Tol.
Which one of y'all did this

Could I please be added to the whitelist?
jonu67 is my minecraft name.
That's a nice looking castle, never seen that on the server anywhere
The one thing that I never got about Vokzal is why it has a monorail riding around the town when ideally it should have a subway :v:
Vokzal wasn't supposed to be a tower city. After Woolie joined everyone started pushing for dense urban development so we've quickly run out of space. I'd rather expand onto the mainland than redo the monorail loop. The reason it was never put underground is because I was the only one working on them originally and so I chose a resource-intensive method rather than a labor intensive method. More importantly, Vokzal's island started out like Swiss cheese with like a dozen cave openings and shallow caverns. Trying to dig rail tunnels would have been really headache inducing. And finally, Vokzal's "MARS" selector switch system requires the station to be lower than the rail outputs, so it's naturally more conducive to an above-ground system.

Hold on, I thought we liked the towers. Do we not like the towers?

The towers are fine, I'm just explaining why we exceeded the original infrastructure.
A fp vanilla server, cool! Can I be whitelisted? Ingame name is Pelf.
The towers are fine, I'm just explaining why we exceeded the original infrastructure.
Ah, right.
I'm sure we'll just revamp the infrastructure as we need to.
I've put together my design proposal for the new monorail. I've also built a model in my backyard.

A picture of the actual model in your backyard probably would be more useful than that picture

I know, but where's the fun in that?

One map in Glitchman's Max No Relax server, going over the dynmap in some far, obscure region no where near any inhabited place someone put in cobble across a plains biome "Queen Scorpious"
Well, here's the photo of the model. You can get a better idea of what's going on with it.

Dear people revamping Spawnville,
Mallen-Tol would like to construct an embassy in Spawn.
Ideally, the majority of it will be underground.
Please leave a suitable 10x10 spot that I can construct this
Sincerely,
King Scorpious, First of the Dwarf Lords

Water would be easier to build into rather than sand.
It's not going to be a huge structure, just 1 or 2 rooms with a moderate entrance to the surface. And it'll be built as an actual "embassy", not as a "home at Spawn" for me.

We won't be able to get you in water, Incoming's station in underneath. Next time someone is in spawn, mark up the ground of those demolished rowhomes for Scorp.
[DEL]So are people able to connect, For me it just hangs on "Connecting to server" and spits when on the server select screen.[/DEL]
My own idiocy, trying to use an outdated IP.
The Auth servers have been shoddy all day, they seem to be getting ddos'd
[no banner because I can't be bothered anymore and I'm rushing to the airport soon]
Works on the spawn train station will be halted for a total of 14 days starting today.
We do however invite cities to start connecting their lines to platform 1 and 3.
I'm saving the little bit of desert/river between the train station and spawn for development since there is no one there. Of course I'm not reserving it as to say "our land fuck off" its more of a "can we have the land pretty please".
Its going to host a nice park and hopefully some commercial buildings/halls/embassies etc.
I suspect someone is stealing cobble from Mallen-Tol despite the signs specifically saying we are not currently giving any away.
Despite me having Luck of the Sea III on my fishing rod, I caught 57 fish straight before I caught anything else. I don't know what I did to deserve that.

First time I fished on this server with Luck 3, I got 4 name tags in a row.
Since then, I haven't even caught a lily pad with the damn thing. It's all just regular fish.
fishing is literally the worst thing in the game
When you do, you can manage to get some nifty treasure.
I do it mostly to get name tags. Lot safer and easier than rooting through caves and nether fortresses.
Mcmmo always made fishing great ;(

The Temple of Squidmurder's Guardian grinder is currently slow but functioning. It's still a WIP but it's already producing prismarine shards and crystals (as well as fish and the occasional ink sack).
If you want some of the prismarine goodness you can get to Squidmurder via the Nether. the path is near the spawn portal. I eventually want to make an underwater railway but I want to finish the grinder first.

Theres also a slime spawn chunk around here too. Not sure where but they spawn occasionally.
Mallen-Tol has a spider spawner beneath it. Once I get a spider farm operational, Mallen-Tol will be able to export string and spider eyes.
Not exactly the hottest item on the market, but it's a thing. Due to the nature of spiders with their shape and ability to climb walls, I do not believe the farm will be able to serve as an XP grinder. But with other grinders closer to spawn already functioning, there's probably no need for one here in Mallen-Tol other than for actual dwarven residence.
Meanwhile, in Vokzal, I built an office building on top of our Starbucks.
Mallen-Tol had its reeds inspected by the most unlikely of people. He walked in, went down a row of reeds, turned around then walked out the door :v:
