I'd like to apologize to Vokzal residents. I took some time away to settle into my new student apartment and since then I've realized that my internet connection here is so slow that playing Minecraft is pretty much a no-go, and there's nothing I can do about it.
Well, that sucks. I'll try to keep working on it until the coursework really kicks in. Guess I'll see you back around in December or so?

I signed a year-long lease on this place so unless I packed the whole computer up and moved into my parents' house for the break (difficult, considering I'm on the third floor of the building with no elevator) then I won't be getting proper access unless I can convince my roommates to each take on a portion of the cost of switching service providers.

Then... It was great working with you. Good luck with college. I'll be waiting for you to turn back up later on.
I'd like to be whitelisted. IGN is DiscoBiscuit
So, I'd like to take a moment to tell you all about a dream, a vision of glorious Soviet rule, that we are working hard to bring to this world. I first had the idea for Glushenko when I was working in Vokzal, and I began studying mid-century Soviet architecture. The combination of classicism, brutalism, and Western modernism became a staple of our design, but it was always muddied by capitalist pigdog propaganda. In Glushenko, that is no longer a concern. We are building a planned city on an island north of Mallen Tol and the big iron bridge, connected to the overworld by nether road near the portal to Roncodpiece's project. The theme is Soviet, including modernism, brutalism, constructivism, and Stalinist Classicism. We're currently accepting new members, including builders, resource gatherers, politburo and proletariat. Truly, with our might and initiative, none can match the shining beacon that is Glushenko! Contact your local politburo office to apply.

Add a gulag and a wall.

I'm no wizard with redstone, but fuck me I'm proud of this baby: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Pn9siWp.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ohH6PWf.png[/t] Ladies and gents, the Hephaestus Mk. IV Industrial-Capacity Furnace! Apart from its sleek design, this baby offers a 27-slot input queue (107 if you count hoppers), a 27-slot fuel queue (107 if you count hoppers), and performs a whopping 48 operations per minute! Additionally, an override circuit prevents items from getting stuck in the pipes, and the fuel/input chests will not feed into the system while open, meaning accidentally transferred items can be safely removed as long as the chest interface is open.

I thought stuff like that couldn't be done without mods.
How does it work? I thought stuff like that couldn't be done without mods.
It's all thanks to the addition of hoppers and comparators in 1.5(?). The hoppers transfer items from the fuel/ore input chests into the furnaces, others transfer output from the furnaces to the output chest. The comparators are only used for the override though, as they can emit a signal based on wether or not the container adjacent has items in it.

I took a long hiatus from Minecraft between 1.2 and 1.7 so I missed the gist of nearly all of those updates. The game really lost its charm after they brought around beta 1.8 and I found it harder and harder to play until recently.
Mine smelts more/faster, but you've got me beat on logic and functionality. Nice work.
A big shout out to all who helped the City Hall project, thanks to the communities of the realm for cooperation in constructing this great monument of engineering. Since part of the building is the towns official library, we have amassed archives that link us directly to our distant past.

As a side note, the Wildeholt library is open cooperation with other communities, since after all they are owed dearly for the assistance.
Besides the obvious ores and diamonds, what do you guys think is the most valued item in the game?
Stone. It's used for almost everything we do, and we can't keep up with demand.
Stone. It's used for almost everything we do, and we can't keep up with demand.
Mallen-Tol could try  Would need something to be traded back, though. Get a real economy going :v:
So I would like to undertake a new project, but the future Mallen-Tol embassy (aka a 10x10 square of cobblestone one block high) is slightly in the way. There's a place closer to the iron grinder that it could be moved to; scorp, you ok with that?
Yeah, that's fine. I feel that the embassy won't be constructed for a long while.
Iron's also good for tools, we have a metric fuck ton of iron. Thing about Tol is that it's self-suffiecient as fuck, though we need more animal farm stuff. Can't go wrong with diamond, either.
Besides the obvious ores and diamonds, what do you guys think is the most valued item in the game?
In vanilla? There's really nothing besides the dragon egg that has any serious value.

I was making a pen for mooshrooms in the stables area, gotta find a way to actually get them there. Last I checked on the mushroom biome island, there was only one there on the whole isle.
If anyone needs wool of any color, hit me up. I have a sheep farm with all 16 flavors.
