There are a [I]lot[/I] of other islands, some of which are quite large, in the southern ocean around spawn. Most of the settlements around there have been abandoned for quite some time, but a little boost in colonization may bring it back around.

Would anyone be interested in making a "deathmatch" zone. Where killing and stealing is encouraged on the understanding that once you leave the zone you go back to the "fight if you agree" thing.
I think we should have some sort of arena, but I'm not sure it's get much use.

A Colosseum would be cool, but the stealing part is beyond dumb.
Wouldn't mind a large combat structure being built, with a small arena with different terrains for different combats, maybe a horse racing course and an archery range to boot.

I remember the reddit server doing this once. There was a game called "Chicken Hockey" in which a chicken was dropped into the center of an ice rink via a redstone-activated trap door, and two teams (of two or three players, I don't remember which) would then try to lead the chicken using seeds into the opposing team's goal. A referee would be used to call points, after which the chicken would be slaughtered, the players would line up at center, and a new chicken would be dropped. There was a set time, but I don't remember how long the games lasted.

The book mentions a higher power nicknamed recently in - comparison to the deity itself - by Oliver Wildeholt. The name was Garrenet. Did Gerold find Gerrenet, or the Catalyst to Garrenet? :mystery:
