The spokes have to be pointing left to represent the Buddhist symbol of peace.
Figured I'd jump on the train again
IGN: Wikki94
Yeah, played on the older one, why not jump back in: My IGN should be TaintedTurnip

Shh, ur gonna blow my secret ss club cover.
I thought i Did copy the symbol of peace, afaik the Nazi swastika is tilted in an angle. Maybe it might just be the isometric view.

Nazis used tilted and straightened for their swastikas.

I stopped playing since I stopped hearing from Waffles. I might come back in a few weeks when I have more time to play.
I haven't been on since that little spat between Scorp and Waffles. I don't know if the dwarven dream is over or not.
Note to self: Setting off too much TNT will crash the server and cause chunks to be regenerated, fucking up your build, and the huge mob proof hole you and your friend were digging out.
As an aside I'm down about a third of a double chest of TNT, and 2.5 double chests of iron blocks. :v: Oh and the witch farm a friend an I put ~20 hours into is utterly fucked. Luckily I didn't lose any of my armor besides my perfect feather fall/depth strider shoes, and only lost 1 pickaxe I cared about when I reconnected and suffocated to death.
The lesson? Don't set off 6 stacks of TnT in the same chunks as an active slime elevator. I might be able to salvage some of this, but I think we're just going to abandon it and move to a different which hut because there's something screwy with the bounding box on this one. Spiders keep spawning in it. I think it might have been generated before the 1.8 release build where they changed the "size" of witch huts.
The question is, do I leave this as is, or just reset the whole area with world edit to pretty it up a bit.

I'd just leave it as it is and move to a new area, hell there's enough land everywhere.
But Maybe repairing it would be a nice option as it wasn't just you in the area.
EDIT: got a couple of maps up

Can i vouch for a friend he signed up today and has no posts IGN:JHDEVON
Just a PSA, I'm looking at moving off of VPSes entirely in a few months and onto a dedicated box. This is mostly because I'm doing more stuff that requires massive amounts of CPU usage. This means that the IP will probably change within 3-4 months, at which point, I'm probably just going to stick a domain on it to make things easier in the future.
When/if I move the server, I will port the world over. I'm probably just going to regenerate the Overviewer map though, and that will take a few days to fully process. On the bright side, on a dedicated box I won't have to worry about CPU usage/disc space, so I can render multiple maps again.
I just noticed that my super tall jungle tree is completely gone. I have no clue when this happened or how it happened...
-nvm-
50 posts? Well shit. I'm a mega lurker.
Sorry I haven't been on lately. My Xbox Gold expires at the end of the month and I haven't any money to renew it so I've been binging on GTA V. I'll be back come March.
Damn it would be fun if I could join... too bad i didn't start posting actively until a couple of weeks ago... time to get someone to vouch for me I guess
Why would anyone choose to vouch for you?
Pretty sure the main reason why Zephyrs added the whole "vouching" system is so that regular Facepunch users can invite their trustworthy friends to the server even if they have an insufficient post count or they altogether lack a Facepunch account. Going around and begging/waiting for strangers to vouch for you most likely won't yield any results.

Yeah such a feature is quite handy.
Speaking of vouching for other players, two of my good friends asked to be whitelisted on the OP's server. Their IGN are PERTINAX and Fogde. They do have accounts on here, they have just been lurking for ages.
It's worth noting that this isn't the only place I accept members from. It's not a "just for FacePunch" server, though the majority of people do in fact come from facepunch.
News time.
So the boxes I've selected to transfer to have significantly more RAM than I have any practical use for. I'm open to the possibility of multiple servers, but not really interested in forge servers with 3 billion mods. The idea is multiple servers tied together with bungeecord. Inventory and stats won't be shared, but I can make chat cross server easily enough, and switching between servers is just a chat command. To the client it's like going between the nether/overworld/end.
What sort of stuff are people interested in seeing? Bear in mind, I have zero intention of changing the vanilla server. That will stay fully vanilla, and any suggestions along the lines of changing that will be completely ignored.
Could I get two of my friends whitelisted please? Bradzilla and DerangedAlpaca.
Thanks.
Question/Problem: Whenever I sprint-jump down corridors, the game stops me every time I do it. It's like I'm going to fast or something. Also, sometimes blocks reappear after I break them. I've brought this issue up before, but I want to know if/when it can be fixed?
As for multiple servers, not sure what we'd use the others for. I can't think of any good mods for 1.8 either.

Another question: Do you plan on ever resetting the server to a new map? If so, when? I figure it might be getting boring for people who have and done everything (such is so with me). I don't know what the popular opinion is here, I'm just curious what your plans are.
Whitelisted.
I know that you were triggering anti cheat intermittently in the past due to latency. I know depth strider was causing massive problems. Is this primarily happening when you are sprint jumping in areas that are 2 blocks high? That has a serious tendency to trigger anti cheat when you are lagging even a little because of the inconsistent time the server sees you in the air. As to what to do about it? I'm not entirely sure to be honest. I'd need you test what exactly causes it, and what your latency is like when it occurs.
As for other servers no idea honestly. Lots of options that I've thought of. For exmample: something I was contemplating was a skyblock server. I've been digging around a bit, and I may use an existing plugin, or write my own plugin for that. Nothing fancy. Just a completely empty world with no terrain generation, and a plugin that creates skyblocks for people based on some simple chat commands. From there I can use some sort of factions plugin to prevent people building outside their block (I figure a few thousand blocks in any direction will be more than adequate. Ideally I'd like to export the region information so that each user will have a personal map render.
As for resetting the world map. I'm not sure. I have no real plans to do that at this point in time with one exception. If 1.9 offers significant enough changes to content, (ie the significant updates that added the new stone generation), I will definitely perform a full map reset then. As always, I will release a world download for people who want it.
It sort of depends on what people want. Thinking about it now, your comment about map resets gave me an idea. I could leave the persistent vanilla server that resets very rarely, and have a separate server that resets on a weekly/biweekly basis (vanilla or otherwise). Automating resets is actually pretty trivial to do. Just have a shell script that stops that server, deletes the whole world folder, and opens the config file to randomize the seed.
TL:DR Almost anything is on the table for the moment. If people want a map reset of the main vanilla server, I can do that soon. That server will remain vanilla and have a long reset cycle. Beyond that, make your cases. Note that it doesn't have to be JUST a single extra server. I should be able to comfortably run several, each with more RAM allocated than the current one has by itself.
For what purpose would a reset serve at this point when there's nothing new to add or change?
In my opinion, map resets should only occur when there's significant updates to block generation in the map, like new stones or ores. Other than that, like say a new update adds new mobs and enchantments, that does not require a map reset.
Generally I agree with that, though some people prefer a fresh map every now and then. The current map limits are large enough that people can just take some minimal essentials with them and start anew quite easily should they want to. I will only reset the current map if there is a notably significant number of people who want it reset.
