I now no longer fear hell.
Killed by a 20-second lag spike, respawned 100 metres from my death. Spent the next five minutes trying to walk to where my stuff was, every time I made the tiniest bit of progress I was pinged back to where I started. Took me ten minutes and two disconnects to even get to where my stuff was. [I]Was[/I], of course, because it despawned.
And then I was kicked for flying, just to rub it in.
EDIT: It was totally a problem on my end though, so I'm not expecting my stuff back. Just needed to vent.
In my spare time, I've improved spawn's roads by taking out the cobblestone walls on either side of the road. The result is a more open effect.
The roads are also no longer named after memes, but now Facepunch Mods.

Just put it back on the pyramid. It's directly underneath the coordinates I gave. Even the ladder down there is intact, just a few blocks of dirt and grass that went missing.

I understand the sentiment but I'm not too interested in bringing some cold hard justice down on this particular thief. I [i]do[/i] know who it is, and although I don't appreciate that my authority was circumvented, it [i]appears[/i] that they put the resources towards something reasonably constructive. I'm more upset that they didn't ask, and that they took so much. Not only do I not to get the resources, but nobody else does either, so it's also a selfish action. My outburst was also probably due in part to the fact that my build this week hasn't been a whole lot of fun, so it was just a crappy thing to "come home to" one day.

For items which I have quantities more than 1 of, the highest [i]n[/i] bids win, where [i]n = qty[/i].
* The fortune picks (#1) have slightly varying repair costs (1, 4, 16), so the highest bids get the lower repair costs.
* The silk touch picks that are slightly damaged (#2) have very low repair costs (1, 2). Same as #1, highest bidder gets the repair cost 1.
* The E2 silk touch pick (#3) has a repair cost of 4.
If bids are a tie, repair cost distribution will be random.
TL;DR: Unless there's overwhelming desire, I'm selling these for a half-stack of redstone each. If there's a bidding war, higher bids get more lifetime.
Remember, iron gets like 1/6 the uses of a diamond pickaxe, so the silk touch picks are only useful as a tool for e.g. working with glass or something. If you go mining stone, it's a waste.

Don't use stairs for arches. The best bet is to use slabs instead, it gives a "smoother" curve, so to speak. Or at least alternate with slabs in there.
A good example is like what I did in Mallen-Tol with the vaulted ceiling

It just occurred to me that he's building a cathedral and not a castle, so yea, the tall & pointed arches with stairs is probably best.
I was thinking more along the lines of domes like the Pantheon.
