Mallen-Tol is neat, but speaking from experience, mainly-underground cities are difficult to keep populated on servers like these. At least it stands as an architectural achievement.
I've got a few double chests of sandstone I'll send over when I've got the chance.
Oh nice, thanks man.
I was on the server for all of 3 minutes this morning, went to the public tree farm, got blown up by a creeper, and then spent thirty minutes trying to find sand to fix the hole he made because I didn't want to make the landscape look ugly.
What are the room allocations for oasis tower? Who would I need to pm to discuss stuff?
Had an idea that 1 floor might be some communal town repair supplies place/storage room, then figured it would require item elevators which would need to span from the bottom of the tower to the top, then figured if you're making 1 item elevator you might as well have an elevator to each floor with a mail room at the bottom or in the basement.
The vault in Mallen-Tol is not automated.
I will probably be back there for a short time in the few days. Where I spawned after the creeper killed me makes me closer to spawn than to home. With the lack of food, weapons or armor, it's safer to make it to spawn and Mallen-Tol than to straight back.
i'll just leave this here

Tell me, you guys, is minecraft worth getting back into?
I last played it at about the same time they added beacons and stuff like that.

I would not exactly call Facepunch Vanilla "Minecraft" in its normal state. Its more like Politicaldiscussioncraft on this server.
but dont worry its fun
Minor correction: If you talk to Incoming, it's politicaldiscussioncraft.
If you don't, it's Minecraft. And it's quite good, well worth a shot.

It's not the game, it's the community on the server.

I stopped playing awhile ago, at like this time last year. Then I found out about this, and I haven't looked back since. You get re-addicted. Whether it's the community or the game I have no idea.

I think the other people help give ideas. Like I would never have built a soviet style tower block till woolio mentioned free plots in glushenko. At some point I'd like to help out with ender portal renovation and pikzal also, if I played by myself I'd make my 1 base and leave it at that never really getting any fresh ideas.

That's me.
Floors 2-12 is allocated to public building (I have plans for all floors beyond that) and since that part of the building is less curvy you could probably do an elevator at the rear corners.
Can I be whitelisted? Same IGN as my username.
I've been meaning to try and get back into MC.
Incoming, around 4:30 into this video shows how to make an infinitely powered rail line all from one single switch. Thought it may be useful for your railroad constructions.
Mining Job Contract!
Seems like a lot of buildings are being built around the Spawn-Wildeholt-Pikzal metro area.
And of course, this requires a lot of cobble.
I will prostitute myself out to dig out a 10x10 hole from top to bedrock in return for payment listed below.
At level 60, a 10x10 hole has the potential to provide up to 6,000 cobble blocks.
A group/community/town may take this contract but I would really prefer 1 user to be the leader/contract head so I have 1 person to deal directly with. I don't want a group to take my deal then start disputing the contract options between each other and everything go to ruin.
What I offer
-I'll dig a 10x10 hole in an area of your choice, either give coordinates or show me while online together
-I will provide my own equipment, including chests to store the materials
-You will keep any and all cobble, gravel, and dirt from mining
-Mining will be done in a very timely manner, I am completely off Saturday afternoon and can dedicate my entire time to this

Payment plans
-2 stacks of iron ore blocks (note: not bars, blocks)
-Or emeralds, can be negotiated on amount, preferably any amount 20 or higher
-OrTwo to three stacks of gold bars (note: not blocks, bars)
-OrOne beacon
-Diamonds cannot be used as payment, I already have more than enough

Contract Details
-I keep any ores I dig up, which include diamond, gold, iron, coal, and lapis (iron dug up, which average 77 ores a chunk, can be deducted from the iron block payment)(gold can be deducted as well)
-Coal kept by me is negotiable, it's not something I really need nor want
-Diamonds dug up by me are negotiable for exchange for other payments, they are not something I really need but due to their rarity and value I don't want to give them out for free (though I won't be stingy on the price)
-I can begin digging around noon EST on this Saturday.
-Contract will be given to whomever has the best deal, not first come first serve. If you guys want to auction yourselves out, go for it.
-PM me for your offers by Friday night, please.
-I would really really really prefer emeralds as payment.

[editline]2nd December 2015[/editline]
Note that this contract is mostly negotiable on any part if needed within reason.

Far more complex than just putting rails on some redstone blocks every so often. It also completely breaks when there is a block update.
Doodled up a mockup facade for a mall complex anchored by Eomstore and Fulco surplus.

No promises it'll ever get built, but a nice little "what if".

The concept is neat, though
God, Wildeholt has pretty much doubled in size with these stores
The concept is neat, though
Neat, but impractical in many ways. In my experience with powered rails, you don't notice much of a speed boost after a certain number of rails, and I've found it to be more than sufficient to have 3 powered rails every 24-32 blocks apart, centered, filled in with regular rails. Fast, cheap on materials, efficient.

I really like this Fulsy. This might be a great idea for Eomstore's Spawn location. The Eomstore would look a bit different though, not sure how that changes your plans, if at all.
God, Wildeholt has pretty much doubled in size with these stores
The urban sprawl is legit. Would be cool to link wildeholt and spawntown with an industrial district or something. Maybe disguised mobfarms inside big metal storage silos
To be honest, Wildeholt could be like the Beverly Hills to LA or wherever Beverly Hills is
So like.. I see a blaze spawner about 20 blocks out from the border, right next to the portal.. requesting nether expansion pack dlc
Now if only people would build houses in North Wildeholt too. My house is gettin' lonely on that shoreline

Kelvin confirmed as EA
So I have achieved in building the world's (as in irl world) least efficient witch grinder. Its been 20 minutes and its got me 10 glow stone. My dreams turn to soft unwholesome ash. Will be adding it to the nether network once I get enough obsidian.
Time for another Eomstore update:

I am pleased to announce that our new store in Pikzal is officially open. It is the first Eomstore outside of Wildeholt. Congratulations Pikzal!
Some pictures of our new store:

I have stocked the store with a small supply to get it started. As in the Wildeholt store, Cocoa beans are not yet in stock. Look forward to news on that soon.
That brings me to my other announcement.
I would like to announce the foundation of a new corporation: EomCorp. This is the governing body for all Eomstores in the world (as well as any other properties that fall under our jurisdiction. You will be able to tell by a small sign that states: "An EomCorp Brand" somewhere on the building. There is a reason other than governance for EomCorp, however.
I am announcing that all Eomstores are going to be franchises, not personally managed and stocked by me. I couldn't possibly be expected to furnish products for four Eomstores all over the world (possibly more to come).
Eomstore was started with a dream of providing free food to the people of Wildeholt, and it has been quite successful in that regard. Those in Wildeholt are now free to concentrate on other projects rather than building fields and maintaining a food supply. I am glad to expand this dream to the world, so that now no one may have to worry about food.
However, the towns in which the Eomstores are built will be responsible for its supply and stock. To be specific, one certain person who takes on the responsibility (I imagine town leaders will probably assume this role) will have to stock the products on the shelves so their citizens can have access to them.
As of now, no one owns any Eomstore, I have assumed the role for the Wildeholt store, which I will keep doing. However, with a completed store in Pikzal and another one going up Glushenko things need to be organized.
A note: just because you "manage and run" the town's Eomstore does not give you any creative license to modify or change the structure or brand advertising in any way without explicit permission of management. (We can get into the terms and conditions later, I'm not worried about it).
I know that there has been interest expressed in a variety of places in having an Eomstore. I will construct them and supply the first small stock of product. From then on, however, I will check in every once in awhile to see how things are going. If you assume this responsibility then you will have a seat on the corporate board (when and if it ever meets).
Please let me know if anyone in Pikzal is interested in assuming the Eomstore responsibility.
To protect the interests of farmers and small business owners in the Ludd Republic, any and all business associated with EomCorp, including Eomstore, is prohibited within the Repubic's boundaries as shown by the map provided below.
