Since the server is basically dead at the moment, how would people feel about me dumping the world data and having a map reset?
I've become really bored of the map, it's just so bloated now.
There's still plenty of available space in my opinion.

I see no reason to reset when there's plenty of undiscovered places.
Not to mention coming online after spring semester to find everything you built in the winter gone.
There are still so many uncharted locations that I think a map reset would be unnecessary

Unpopular opinion, but I'm down for a reset. I accomplished so much with my personal builds and have become so wealthy that I'd appreciate being able to start from scratch without moving into the middle of nowhere.

The only difference between a map reset and moving into the middle of no where is the latter doesn't involve erasing everyone else's shit along with yours.

There's also the difference of not being 3k blocks from spawn and being the only person on the server 90% of the times I log in.

The issue I see with two servers is it would divide the already small player base we have.

We can keep posting here unless this gets wiped, which in the event it does, we have that to go to.
idea that's been knocking around: set new spawn somewhere far away (like 20k blocks out or whatever the limit is) and expand the map size to maybe 40k in a new direction. keep the old map for players to travel to and establish transport links of crazy size to, almost like another country
this prevents dividing the playerbase between servers and allows new players and old players to both explore and create 50000% unexplored new lands without ruining anyone's nostalgic feelings + letting them explore and even attach their old creations to new ones
