I'd be satisfied with moving the spawn 20k in any direction, and extending the map 10k beyond that in the same direction. It would be like giving us a new map that's the same size as this one (which lasted a long time, compared to most online servers) while also keeping the old territory within reach.

If we move the spawn point for new players to an I generated area, we all get a new start for civilization. I'm all for it, as long as we build another boat-ice transport back to the original city structures

As long as we have a organised rail/nether transport system I'm all for it. One question though is how we're going to connect the old world to the new one transport wise, It'll suck to have an organised system in one and a messy one in another. I don't know if it's possible (or would be wanted) but maybe do a Nether reset and then use the new nether as a hub to both new and old.

I was dead the instant I logged in and reflexively hit the "respawn" button before it fully registered in my head. (I guess I'm used to knowing where I died and hitting respawn to run back ASAP.)
