Seems pretty accurate from what i remember of the world map, though its missing my bridge thats just south of spawn, you can see it from a nice zoom out level.
The only thing about that map is that its about 1/8 of the true map.
It doesn't have the cathedral either. Happy to see that's still intact, as is the rest of my stuff. I love this server!
I just wish people were on.

Mallen-Tol is on that huge island that has the purple line from Gravel to Cactus running through its northern tip.
I wish we had a map.
Could always explore on your own. Having a map helps find a perfect spot, but sometimes going on an adventure is half the fun of finding a home.
There's a minimap mod that produces a map as you explore. And what's awesome about it is that its customisable meaning you can place way points and shit making it look like skyrim when you press M
Well, maybe we shouldn't get a map.
Maybe we should start a more rustic, sign based detabase of locations. Might be more fun?

Apparently, this last server crash caused a rollback that affected -some- of the chunks comprising my island but not all of them, and now the metro loop I spent all evening yesterday finishing has random sections at various stages of completion and others that are totally finished.
This is really frustrating.
Worst of all, a lot of them reverted to just before I laid down powered rail, but my inventory didn't revert along with the rollback so that gold is lost forever it seems.
I just wrote out a long tome about the history of Mallen-Tol before it was abandoned. I will dispense copies to other locations for all those who want to read it. The book's title is "The Histories" but it's subtitle (in the first page due to actual book titles having to be really damn short) is "The First Age of the Kingdom of Mallen-Tol". Comes with a appendix of all the old dwarves of the place, as well.

Yeah, but at least the server backed up right before the crash this time. Hopefully that means no weird rollback behavior.

I would not have big problems without it, as I am settled with all resourses that come from exploring (like when I went 4k blocks just to get jungle saplings) but since not everyone is settled nor everyone will remain stationary forever we should have one.

I don't know, looking back the map kind of spoiled the fun of wandering around a bit. Made things a bit stale.
Exploration and adventure is one of the defining factors in Minecraft.
