Ottoman Empire - Zillamaster55
Economy - Large, slowly growing
Military - Strong
- The Ottoman Military invades the nation of Tripoli. It quickly overwhelms any resistance and by August of 1837, most of the tiny African nation is under Ottoman control - with of course minor insurgencies in major cities.
- Army units are moved from Mesopotamia to Anatolia, which is seen as a great diplomatic victory by the Persians.
- In a surprise move, Ottoman Army high-command unanimously agreed to remove the power, and influence, of Janissaries. While unpopular with some regimental commanders in the military, they are ultimately ignored. Military units are suddenly find it easier to advance without problem, and are less prone of corruption.
- The Millet system is expanded throughout the nation and special protection for church property and practitioners is enforced as well. It is widely heralded as a civil rights advancement by the Jews and Christians alike.
- The Ottoman government allows provincial elections in Orthodox territories. While it is meant to diversify rule, many of the peasantry in the regions turn out en masse to vote. Many politicians who are elected are Baltic Nationalists/pro-independence or anti-Istanbul. They begin forming coalitions with each other and encouraging the local citizenry to fight against the Muslim oppressors.
- Tariffs are lowered significantly on trade coming from Eastern nations. Imports and exports increase substantially with many foreign products finding themselves in local marketplaces. While this is good for local economies, the national economy takes a hit now that it has lost a source of income.
- A high level military Non - Aggression pact is signed in Tehran between Ottoman and Persian military commanders.
- Ottoman engineers begin laying out plays and conducting research on a national road system. Along with a universal military uniform.

Republic of Texas - Emperor Scorpious II
Economy - Small, growing
Military - Small, experienced
- The Federal government begins to lay the groundwork for a federal army, similar to that of the United States. By the end of the year, most of the militias who fought in the recent revolution in Mexico are integrated into one formal army. Though a few refuse, citing their concern with the organization and feasibility of one large army. Requests are also made to the United States about sending a few military officers to stand in charge of the army until Texas can develop their own officer corps. The U.S. agrees and sends of 20 military officers from various branches.
- Mining operations begin along with state-funded logging industry. While the main goal is to ultimately extract saltpeter and charcoal, it will take a year or so to build these mines. So for now, production is at a low. With not much to show of it.
- The government in Houston attempts to abolish the sale of slaves aged 14 and under, however this fails miserably when the federal congress, comprised mostly of racist, slave owning politicians, blocks the bill from becoming a law.
- A treaty with the United States that recognizes Texas’ claims on the Oklahoma territory is agreed upon. Though many Americans think this is complete farce and move into the territory, and claim it for the United States.
- In a move to attract immigrants from all over, the federal government creates very cheap land grants and low interest loans for farmers. A few thousand immigrants from England, France, the United States and Prussia begin to pack up shop and risk making something of themselves in Texas. The offer, however, is also extended to the “5 Civilized Tribes”, where almost immediately they refuse and demand their land back.
- Delegations throughout the year are sent to Spain in order to hash out trade pacts and treaties to allow Texan merchants through the Straits of Gibraltar. Though by the end of the year nothing has been agreed on, yet, the Spanish do recognize Texas independence.
- Attempts are made at a Mutual Respect Treaty with various Native American tribes, but they fail with the chiefs demanding their land back.
- Telegrams are sent to President Andrew Jackson about rerouting the deportation of Native Americans to Texas. He accepts and by the end of the year, thousands of Native Americans organize their own communities in Texas.
- Texan scientists finish their research of the revolving pistol and it begins to be tested in military units. Research is now put into the Mini ball, an accurate and deadly bullet.

Austrian Empire - Spoder55
Economy - Moderately Sized, growing
Military - Large
- The Austrian Army diverts its 3 units of Line Infantry to capture the Free City of Krakow, under the guise that they have been receiving legitimate threats from revolutionaries in the city, they were forced to respond with military action. Less than 500 Austrian were killed while taking city in contrast with over 2,000 of the city's defenders being killed.
- Suppression of Liberal politicians and thinkers within Austria begins unexpectedly in 1837. Austrian police torture and imprison any Liberals they can find, and by the end of the year, have jailed thousands of Liberals.
- The Government in Vienna sends a telegram to St. Petersburg requesting the Russian army to remove its troops around Uzbekistan. The Austrians receive a reply to withdraw from Krakow and stop jailing liberals first.
- Austrian scientists begin to research breech loaded rifles. With designs from France and other nations, research is quick and concludes by the end of the year.

Kingdom of Prussia - Dr. Ethan Asia
Economy - Moderately Sized, growing
Military - Small, growing
- The Prussian army begins to develop a new set of operational-level command tactics for officers, which put an emphasis on individual action and initiative, rather than relying on orders. Though it has yet to be tested, many foreign observers are closely watching.
- The Prussian parliament begins to reform media censorship, by slowly enacting laws that reduce state censorship in newspapers and other media. New ways of thinking/thought begin to slowly flow into Prussia. The refreshing but almost impossible tastes of liberty and democracy begin to touch the parched lips of the peasantry.
- Production of Prussia’s new breech-loaded rifles begins. They quickly find themselves in the hands of frontline units. Many soldiers take part in contests between each other to see who can shoot a certain amount of targets the fastest.
- A Trade Pact is successfully negotiated between the Persians and the Prussians. Though it benefits the Persians more than it does the Prussians. Nevertheless, Prussian companies and business see an increase in profits. Other delegations to negotiate trade pacts are sent to Britain and Russia.
- Prussia accepts “reparation” of 50,000 gold coins for Austria’s recent troop movements and military actions. Though many people see this as hush money.
- Prussian bankers begin to experiment with private banking, and the central government begins experimenting with how profitable state ownership is.

The Kingdom of France - Griffster26
Economy - Strong, Large, Growing
Military - Large, growing
- An alliance between the French and Persians is formed in the early months of 1837, with a large ceremony held in Paris, the Shah and King of France kiss and negotiate an arms deal between the two, which would provide thousands of modern rifles, cannons and uniforms to the Persians. The deal is quickly made and by the end of the year, Persias army is looking more and more modern.
- Military drill begins in Western France. A hypothetical invasion by the German confederation and how French forces would respond begins. The French find themselves in a safe position. But anything could change at a moment's notice, as Prussia and Austria have also been equipping themselves with modern weapons.
- The French Army marches into Spain to support Liberal Spanish factions against the Carlists. Forces are also set up along the border to prevent the Carlists from escaping. A few thousands Frenchmen are killed but the tide is now turned against the Carlist, with the Liberals gaining ground.
- Like Spain, the French continue their march into Algeria, they begin to adapt to the Algerians fighting style and capture more provinces. But there are always pockets of resistance that are deadly to stomp out.
- France abolishes slavery in the mainland and in the colonies. All slaves are now freedmen who are expected to perform civil duties and pay taxes. But there also is a great deal of racism against them, as well.
- The French government establishes the colony of Northern Borneo, which is a French puppet of the recently annexed Bruneian Empire.
- The Islands of Qeshm and Hengam are leased from Persia to France as a treaty port for 50 years and 6 million dollars.

Persia - Native Hunter
Economy - Small, growing
Military - Westernizing
- The Persians continue their rapid military modernization and adoption of European military tactics, though they are a ways off from being completely modernized. Some units begin to train specifically in the mountains and high heat.
- The Persians begin to make attempts at building a modern navy, however they are lost without European assistance. Regardless, attempts are still made and some ships have been experimented with. None though, have been quite successful in combating pirates in the gulf.
- Road construction continues within the country, this still employs many of the homeless and unemployed. Whenever an objection comes up, the Persian government is quick to remind local leaders that they aren’t the ones with absolute power.
- The government begins to encourage mining operations in the Zagros mountains. However they don’t have the necessary equipment of experienced workers. The Shah tells himself, “Might as well ask the Europeans?”.
- Generous grants are given out to the Imams and Clergy for their humanitarian work. Attempts are made to build mosques and have missionary missions in Sunni dominated areas, it mostly fails.
- The Persians lease France the islands of Qeshm and Hagam for 6 million USD for a period of 50 years in exchange for French assistance in modernization.
- Trade agreements are signed throughout Europe and the Ottoman Empire. Something interesting begins to happen in Persia. All over, people now have access to European and Western goods. It will take a while to see how this develops in Persia.
- Poppys begin to be grown everywhere and are sold to European nations for a nice sum of money.
- Persian engineers and scientists, with the help of Europeans, begin to research railroads and Fertilizer.

Not until after the German revolutions; the parliament was formed under the constitution in 1848. Didn't have any real power either, ministers were responsible to the king and he retained executive power.
Austria you just broke Article VII of the Congress of Vienna.

Don't attempt to justify yourself with that, Cracow attempted to free itself from the Triumvirate's rule and Russia and Austria signed a treaty that would let Austria annex Cracow.

Well, Metternich's a conservative twit and Austria will probably get a lot of flak. And I mean, a lot of flak. I want to see Austria defeated for upsetting the balance of power in Europe.
I want to see Austria defeated for upsetting the balance of power in Europe.
You want to see yourself lose?
You want to see yourself lose?
If I upset the balance too much, yes. But I revised my turn I sent in for the next master turn, as it was daft and hilariously stupid.
I currently have Austria's turn.
I currently have Austria's turn.
Did you get the revised version? Sorry if I'm pestering you.
Woah hey now when are turns due? I'm working on hashing out a deal with some people
