You can get into the boat with the villager, in theory you could paddle the boat, on land, into a villager to pick them up. Boats allow 2 passengers now.
Maybe you could spam boats round the town nudge villagers into them, then do shuttle runs back and fourth to get them to safety. I guess you could also leave them in the boat in middle of the sea for ultimate safety from zombies.
You still planning on that villager breeder?
Could you get a mine cart and nudge the villager into that, then you can nudge it to the sea, destroy the cart, put villager in boat. Depends how far you need to travel, you could create a rail system...
Can you tie boats together with leads?

Nope
I think best bet is leave them lying around the village, nudge villagers in then jump in and drive away (you can paddle on land just pretty slowly)
The village to the north is right on the coast. So much in fact that their wood-plank roads end up being as a dock actually.
The southern village is right over a large sink-hole and is further inland, about roughly 20-40 blocks in. That one would the more challenging to redirect.
I'll pop on tonight and help out with the evacuation
I don't know when I'll be online, I don't normally get home from work until midnight or 1am EST, which I believe is 5am/6am your time.
MIRR will help with any resources necessary for the evacuation.
Optimistically, I would like to just secure the villages so anyone can visit and trade.
While the area is extremely hilly/mountainous (it's not even extreme hills wtf), I'll settle for moving the villagers if it proves to be the easiest method of saving them.
Spawners are incredibly simple by design. It just takes an effort of making them that's complicated.
Just create a 17 by 17 by 10 room with the spawner in the center. Directly below the spawner dig a hole about 4 or 5 blocks deep. Place a water source at the edge of the room at every block. With the correct size of the room, the water should flow straight toward the hole but be just short enough to not flow into it.
Below, make a room for the player to stand in and make the hole's access just 1 block high. Skeletons should spawn, fall into the water then flow into the hole. Attack their legs and you will be completely safe 99% of the time.
Even better design, I can't recall the name but there's a design that utilizes the environmental kill+exp concept even better
Basically, if a mob dies by environment (lava, drowning, falling, etc), it will not drop exp. However, mojang has a system in there (i'd imagine for knockback enchant users) that gives EXP for environmental kills if the mob is hit 3 seconds before (or 5, i cant remember)
You can abuse this by using lava and hitting at the same time. faster and easier on the weapon durability if you choose to do that.

It'd be awesome if you could help me with the station. It will be elevated, with the tracks at layer 73 (since I have to go over the SC line and hilly terrain)

Can I request as well a line to the skele spawner in the winter biome?

Activists fighting against corruption in rail line contracts have hosted a major protest in spawn town
Can I request as well a line to the skele spawner in the winter biome?
The eventual plan is to have 8 lines going in each general direction from Spawn, and that is one of the planned locations (not final stop, definitely, but planned station along the way). I'm just waiting for more development to occur to build farther out and in more directions.
[editline]2nd March 2017[/editline]
I shall not infringe upon their right to protest; however, they have no right to be on that construction site.

I've decided to name my place Mariana (after the Mariana Trench).
Theres a WIP path to via the Nether that goes past a Nether Fortress, use at your own risk however since it's not 100% finished yet.
The Usonia line should be done tomorrow night. We made good progress today and Chestnut Village Station is under construction.
Here's a mockup of my current idea for the Wildeholt rail.

As the founder of FulCO rail systems, and a resident of the town who yearns to travel to it safely, I'd like to take on the task of constructing it.
After this, FulCO will be exiting the rail business, and only do small subcontractor work. Full time, we will instead venture into creating stadiums.
I would like to announce the founding of the Church of Azathoth, The Blind Idiot God, the Nuclear Chaos, the Daemon Sultan, who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.
Groundbreaking's on Saturday. We'll have free food and drinks.
Praise be.
MISSING: A horse named "Streiff", wearing gold armor and a saddle.
I went to investigate the Bone Zone and I hopped off my horse to see how it worked down below. When I returned to the surface, he was no where to be seen.
Please help me find my horse out in the frozen wastes, will pay up to 1 diamond for his safe return.
Biggering Ltd has received notice that the cruel MIRR has not only flattened numerous protestors, but has constructed a railway line through a farming community and now intends to grind the bones of children in order to construct a building using bones (a most heinous crime)
I shall be calling my head lawyer Bert Rosenblatt, and also a number of other lawyers such as Emmanuel Silverstein, Leibowitz Goldberg, and "Old ben" in addition to a number of other members of the precious metals community.
We have no choice but to sue MIRR for £499 billion and a reference for a good plumber

They also built over the drinking water pond from now it will be known as the permanently polluted pool.
Luckily they didn't spoil the "rare and holy" forest, thought the noise from construction and traffic will have an adverse effect on the wildlife there.
Those elites in spawn town don't understand us rural folk
A couple of things about that
1. Those protesters were on private property. I had the Constitutional Right to shoot them.
2. All trees taken down will be replanted
3. The drinking water has not been polluted, in fact quite the opposite. The coal we are using naturally purifies the water.
4. Those farmers knew what they were getting into when they built on far-east Spawn lands denoted by the Spawn Charter I wrote last week. I have every right to plow through their land

my lawyer informs me that you wrote "a couple" which is commonly understood to refer to "two" as in the quantity, and yet have written 4 points
he states that we have a strong case (especially since one of the protestors you shot was black), but we are willing to accept an out-of-court settlement
