Yes and yes. They constantly change the engine so you constantly have to remake your mods every update or so.

I like the idea, but I can't imagine the smooth surface of a blimp could translate well into minecraft

I see. Though I think I like the smaller "US Navy" one more than the Good Year one. If we built that, it would possibly span longer than the city limits
