"Listen here you little shit. I didn't come here to play hide the pickle with a carnie." [editline]27th May 2016[/editline] ((Ok it's 1:30am here and since you're not gonna spar me like a man imma go to bed.))
"Likewise, I didn't come here to play 'Spank the Monkey' with Mr. Freeze."
Valkyrie studied the crack on Jag's 'face'. Wow, it looks like its getting worse. "Yuga wants to talk to you, but that crack is starting to look pretty nasty. I'd check with the doc after you talk to her."
Jag let out an deep sign out from under it's neck, now feeling the crack ever so sightly growing wider with each pasting minute. However, the Sanghvi's attention shifted to that of Yuga. It knew that it's failure would garner the notice of the other void gifted individuals abroad. The brief sense of it's gasp upon their mind would leave an feeling similar to that after hearing over roughly a hour of nails being laid into an chalkboard. "Understood." Jag said, nodding towards Valkyrie before heading past her and Frosty. Walking as through they weren't there as it head up towards the bridge.
Valkyrie watched him walk off, before moving over next to Bucky. "Well, lets get this shit done." she said, kneeling down next to her and looking the damage to the wall and fuel line over. .... Taylor traveled to her room, passing Frosty in the hallway, and went straight to the shower. She needed one after the sparring and practice. Fresh clothes were needed after all that sweat. Minutes later, she emerged refreshed and in clean clothes. [Heading to bed. blorgyboy has control of Valkyrie for now. Can use Taylor however you need.]
Frosty stepped outside Jag's quarters and stood right at the doorway.
Bucky nods and gets to work with Vaklyrie. The two engineers chat while they work, just passing the time between the critical parts of the repair work. [Roll required?]
"One minute to drop, commander." Gladius nodded towards the pilot and left the cockpit. Entering the rear part of the prototype SDF Hawk VTOL. Spacious enough for an entire squad, the rear was currently occupied by Mercury, Warren, Ares and the rest of Strikeforce Ares. Together they were about twenty soldiers who were making their final weapon- and gear-checks in silence. "One minute." Said Gladius as he walked towards the rear door. The sound of metal moving against metal could be heard as the armored figure moved with heavy steps towards his designation. He unholstered a large kinetic machinegun, one of many reconfigured LWA designs, and disabled the safety. This gun in particular used to be called the LWA Iska. Warren, followed by Mercury and Ares, got up and took up position behind Gladius. Accompanied by two Striekforce Ares soldiers the rest of the squad split up into two smaller fireteams which were to disembard using the side doors as to cover the flanks during the landing. Warren hit a button to his left, opening the rear door. The colorful lights of central Terranos was reflected on the many visors of the squad. Gladius's two eerily blue eyes observed the city below. Mercury looked at Warren with a reassuring nod. Both soldiers found Gladius to be slighlty frightening; they were not sure if he was a man or a robot and they had never seen him without his helmet. Meanwhile Ares seemed unfazed by the giant soldier, perhaps due to the fact that he had grown used to seeing the mysterious soldier. Several SISP and SERPU vehicles could be seen setting up a perimter below as the VTOL approached its objective. Mercury leaned out and spotted the two other Hawk VTOLs carrying Strikeforces Xerxes and Zeus. He was startled when one of Gladius's giant hands fell on his shoulder. "Mercury, did you finish my request?" Mercury nodded and opened up one of his chest pouches. In hishand was a large circular device which he handed over to Gladius. "Hadn't it been for the tools you gave me I wouldn't have been able to finish this in time. It should work though, just keep in mind that the shield can only protect you for roughly one minute of constant fire." Gladius retrieved the shield generator. "I don't intend on letting them shoot at me at all." Mercury was about to reply but decided not to. Soon the VTOLs arrived over a thirty-story building. A white-colored apartment building with smooth curves in its architecture, the apartment looked like most buildings in Terranos. As soon as the VTOLs touched down the soldiers disembarked. Strikeforces Xerxes and Zeus mounted rappel-mounts on the east and west side of the building and readied themselves for their next orders. Gladius walked, unlike the rest of the soldiers, in a casual fashion with his machinegun at his hip. "Xerxes, east side. Zeus, west side. Ares primary, northern stairwell. Ares secondary, southern stairwell. SNV Shadow, give me a sit-rep." We're counting roughly fifteen tangos on the nineteenth floor. No civilians on scans. Said the voice of Captain Reed over the comms. Gladius nodded as he approached the door to the northern stairwell. Ares, Warren and Mercury plus two of Ares's men had formed up on each side of the door. "Ready." Said Ares. "Commence operation Onyx Dagger." Said Gladius just as he kicked down the metal door. With loud steps echoing through the stairwell he walked down to the nineteenth floor. The squad formed up on the door. ----- "Ssshhh! Hustle up!" Said one of the men as the entire apartment was plunged into darkness. The loud steps echoing through the stairwell had stopped right outside their door. Funriture was quickly moved to form a makeshift barricade. "As soon as that door opens, let 'em have it. No mercy for traitors!" Said the leader as he loaded a kinetic shotgun. Sixteen fighters, himself included, were now pointing their guns towards the door. Spread out around the kitchen and living room, they had quickly locked down their safehouse the minute their overlook spotted SISP officers blocking off a street below. Suddenly three loud knocks could be heard on the door. The fighters looked nervously at eachother. "Higgins, go." Said the leader. A weathered man in his early forties slowly approached the door. "Who is it?" "SDF. Open up." Said a dark voice on the other side. Higgins looked towards the leader who shook his head. With his mouth he formed the word "grenade". Higgins grinned and grabbed a grenade from his belt. Just as the fanatical man was about to remove the safety the entire door flew off its hinges. "Grenade!" Yelled one of the fighters as Higgins's mangled body crushed underneath the heavy metal door dropped the grenade which was now beeping. With little time to react the fanatics rolled away into new cover just as the grenade detonated. Two fighters were caught in the blast and screamed in agony as superheated plasma burned through their bodies. One of them quickly put his own gun to his head to end the pain. Before the fanatics and their leader could reorganize their defenses a huge tank-like figure walked in through the door. "Drop your weapons." Said Gladius. Before he knew it a blue aura formed around his body as the hail of bullet projectiles triggered his personal shield. "Ares, Xerxes and Zeus. Execute." He aimed down his machinegun and started to surpress the fanatics just as the soldiers of Strikeforce Ares entered the room with two blue energy shields taking point. Mercury and Warren wasted no time to open fire on the many targets in the room. Meanwhile Ares used precision fire to knock out a particularly bold enemy trying to flank the breaching team. The leader quickly realized that the situation was lost and made a dash for the main bedroom. Passing one of his men, he grabbed a grenade from his belt and used it to blow a hole in the wall into a adjacent aprtment. Empty due to the silent evac carried out hours ago, the leader made his way to the south stairwell. "Contact!" Yelled one of Ares's soldiers as a bearded man wearing slim bodyarmor over a set of casual clothes stumbled out into the stairwell. Despite his poor accurracy the leader managed to wound one of the troopers before rushing down the stairs. Ares's soldiers returned fire while maintaing their position. "Warren, Mercury. With me." Said Gladius right before storming through the wall. Sprinting unnaturally fast for someone wearing heavy armor the trio passed by the second Ares squad while pursuing the leader. Meanwhile windows could be heard being shattered into a million pieces as soldiers from Strikeforces Xerxes and Zeus rappeled down and entere the fray. All of the fanatic soldiers in the room were quickly overpowered. None surrendered. "Area secured." Said Ares. At the bottom of the apartment gunshots echoed as the leader fired off a burst from his rifle in the general direction of his pursuers before entering the garage. He quickly made his way towards a hovercar of a older model and jumped in. Gladius wasted no time and rushed towards a SUV. He pointed at the driver seat. "Warren. Drive." ----- The SISP officers quickly rolled out of the way as a pair of hovercars broke the perimeter line covering one of the smaller sidestreets of Terranos. Warren drove to the best of his abilities while Mercury unloaded several laser shots on the car infront of them. Gladius however had tore a hole in the roof and was firing short controlled bursts with his machinegun. "This is Gladius, my team and I are in pursuit of the leader commanding the terrorists cell. Requesting reinforcements." His call was heeded almost instantly as a SISP adeptor-class dropship joined the pursuit, shining its nose-mounted spotlight on the suspect vehicle. "Be advised all units, situation red on Freedom Road. Suspect is in a silver-colored hovercar of a unkown older make. Friendlies are in pursuit and are currently opening fire." ----- "Keep us steady!" Yelled Mercury as the pursuit continued on the Terranos freeway. "I'm trying!" Replied Warren as the SUV sped past several civilian vehicles. Red and blue lights was reflected off of the vehicles as several SISP patrol cars followed the SUV. Gladius suddnely fired a well-placed shot at the car, causing blood to splatter up on the inside of the windshield. The suspect car quickly lost control and crashed into the safety barriers. Warren pulled over and unholstered his rifle, aiming at the car. Meanwhile the SISP patrol cars formed a crescent-shaped perimetere around the vehicle while the VTOLs overhead shined their spotlights on the scene. Gladius got out and walked towards the car with little regard for his own safety. A group of black SSOID vehicles arrived at the scene and agent Harkin quickly linked up with Mercury. All eyes were on Gladius as the massive soldier walked up the car and tore off the driver's door. He looked towards the people gathered around the crash. "Suspect is dead."
((I'm at Megacon. No updates for a bit.))
Johannes shrugs "Yeah alright Dio go play with your darts." He turns to Maddox and goes to grab his armor. "Hold off on scanning that for a minute. Hariim needs to see it and is morbidly curious as to why I need the main systems not altered. Probably best if you scan it while I'm in it anyway right?"
Maddox shrugged. "I guess. Tell Hariim to send me a full scan while he's at it."
Johannes shrugs "I was just gonna put it on and have you scan it before I go smack Hariim for hacking into my computer earlier."
Hariim accesses the intercom speakers around Johannes and Madox. "You guys know that I can hear and see through this ship's eyes and ears right?"
Maddox grins. "Good thing I blocked remote access to my quarters then." He said out loud.
"So what, Hariim? I'm still gonna smack you."
"Okay that was a workout and a half." Amy said as she shook Amelia's hand. "You did rather well, hope you will keep this up." She turned around to face her brother. "Next time, you're taking the hits." "We'll see." "Don't be afraid to smack him, he's like a big teady bear, he wont hurt you. Anyway, I have to go take a shower. Cya." Amy exited the training area and headed straight towards her quarters. Before she could enter the shower however, she noticed the camera in her quarters, then she remembered Harlim. "Ohohoho no." She grabbed a towel and tossed it right over the camera. --- Alex looked at Amelia. "Ehh, don't surprise hit me if I'm sleeping, bad things tend to happen. You ever want to train more, just give me a shout." He put on his shirt. "I have to get back to the kitchen. This was fun, but I have to finish dinner." He left and went back to the kitchen. Looks like he was just in time, as one of the giga shrimp had managed to crawl outside of the pot. "Oi, get back in the pot!" Alex grabbed a cleaver and brought it down on the fleeting creature, ending it's hopes of escape.

[So, Sega, considering the recent development, what are we going to do?]
(( I say we sail outwards towards the South Pacific, take over one of the many uninhabited islands there, and set up a giant fortress on it. We can call it: COBRA ISLAND! ))
((Jesus christ that new forum layout/design is cancer ugly)) [editline]29th May 2016[/editline] ((This thread is great. Garry: Guys how do you want the forum to change? Pitch in, I'm interested in your ideas and input. Everyone: Fuck off this sucks don't change Facepunch Garry: Fuck you guys I don't want your input ))
((I caught stomach flu while at Megacon. I was expecting it to be a lot worse than it turned out to be, so I called home and got my dad to drive out to Orlando and pick me up. I left my laptop out there, too, so I'm currently without a computer, probably until Tuesday. I might be able to borrow one before then but I still feel like crap so don't expect any miracles. Sorry for the continual delays. On the subject of the forum redesign, I don't have high hopes. It has a few cool-looking features like custom forums and better search functions, but it also comes with the standard Garry taint of shit no one asked for, like social media registration and 16x16 avatars. I don't trust the mods who keep saying "you'll like it when you see it in action." I'm just waiting for it to roll out, not be any good, and for Garry and the mods to shrug and say, "well if you don't like it, fuck off and leave, then." As for us, we'll be forced to give it a shot with our own subforum. If it works, we'll stay put. If it doesn't, I suppose we'll move on. Whether that means launching a new forum that's inevitably doomed to fizzle out, or to simply move on with our lives remains to be seen.))
((This is like when half of the subforums got killed off even tho a large majority of the users told Garrh that they didn't want that.))
[I assume that Fast threads will be back in some way in the next forum. If the people who host RPs don't stick there, they will probably move to a subforum.]

((So can someone do something with Johannes? I'm fuckin bored))
[Gotchu covered bruv] "Zealot Koronov! Welcome home, brother!" "Yes, it's good to be back." Koronov said as he walked down the ramp of his ship. The Asteroid base that had been captured by the Creed many years ago, had served him and his allies well. It's remote location had allowed them to dodge and and all pursuers the SDF or anyone else, would send. Now he had other matters he had to attend to. Whatever the high priests would want, he would gladly deliver if he could. "Men, take time to rest untill I'm done. And you brother, lead the way." The two men walked through the base's corridor. Although used by the heretic's military in the past, it was now converted to serve the Creed's needs. From the armory to the prayer room and alter. Everything was where it should be. The two eventually entered a great hall where 3 men in decorated robes stood. Koronov stood in place and knelled down on one knee. "Rize, zealot." He oblidged. "Report." "The siege of Novithus was a failure, your grace. However, my hull is full of new deciples ready to learn our ways." "Are they now?" the second one asked. "Good. Maybe they will replace the men we lost after another one of your expeditions failed." "I have no idea what you are refering to." "Don't play dumb with us, Stanislav. We know about the little expeditions you have send around the galaxy in the past. Looking for you long lost spawn." "Yes. While you, yourself have been vital in our succsesses in the past, you have also wasted resources on your own personal goals. Something we cannot allow." Koronov was getting visibly angry. "So, I am forbidden to search for my own flesh and blood? I am not allowed to bring them back into the light? To save their souls?" "Carefull, zealot. Remember your position. Or what it was at least." "What?" The third priest finally spoke. "Yes. After much consultation with the others and meditaion, we have decided to strip you of your rank as Zealot. You will be demoted to Crusader, where you will still command a small group of knights to pursue your own goals as long as they benefit God and you are not called for a crusade." "I see." Koronov got up from his knee and looked the three priests. "I will find something to do in the meantime before we embark on another crusade." He turned around and walked back to his ship in a brisk pace. He stood there and wondered was this another test of faith? He shook it off and looked at his men. "Gather whatever supplies you need. In a few days time, we're going to search fot my children." ---- Alex got out of the kitchen and send out a message to the crew that the food was ready. All he had to do now was hope that they wouldn't get sick of the seafood too fast.
((Wanna take 3 guesses as to what bodily functions Johannes doesn't have to do because of his genetic modifications? :v: )) Johannes glances up at the comm message about chow time and shrugs. He opens his commlink to Hariim. "So, Hariim, where are you on the ship so I can have you scan my armor and totally not smack you upside the head."
"Just connect to the local wireless network. I can feel out the systems in your suit from there and get a feel for what I can do with it. Side note: I've never actually been on the ship. I am the ship!" Hariim laughs at his little joke. "Real talk; I'm just chilling on the bridge. Been perusing some of the weirder parts of the computer systems while we've been chatting. Why exactly do you want to hit me again? I mean, I understand being 150 years out of time makes for some social convention changes, but really." Hariim disconnects from the ship's systems and awaits the second walking ice cube's arrival with a cordial smile. He runs through some old memories to refresh his unarmed combat training while he waits. The SDF Marine Corp didn't prepare Hariim for nothin'!
"You might be the ship, Mr M'baal, but I am still your captain." Yuga sat in the captains chair, looking over news from the eastern quadrant as well as studying the maps of it. She turned her head towards Hariim, "If you wish to brawl with Mr.Meijde you can do so after I've instructed Mr Celofan to throw you both in the brig." She furrowed ver brows slightly, "Are we clear on this?" ... Markus had decided to use this time off to do some training and had contructed an improvised barbell from two crates and a steel rod. He wasn't exactly sure how much this thing weighed, but seeing as he had to put in effort to do squats with it he assumee it was something around 80 kg. When he finished his 3 set he put the barbell away and sat down to rest on one of the crates.
As SSOID director Talwin Williams walked through the long hallway which led to High Councilor Wayford's office, he went over the latest intelligence reports on his tablet. One day had passed since the midnight joint-ops raid, dubbed operation Onyx Dagger, had been acrried out in the very heart of Terranos. While everyone had done exactly as ordered the main suspect had unfortunately been killed in the ensuing pursuit. The media had gone crazy with speculations, people were starting to worry wether or not the Sol Government could keep Sol safe or not. Ontop of that, he had also been silently notified that a member of a legendary fanatical cult hailing from Terra had visited Mars recently. He had no idea that the cult even existed untill the alarm, put in place generations ago, had let him know about it. Thankfully it appeared as if the cultist was alone, he had posed no danger during his visit which was a good sign. Nonetheless Williams had organized a small taskforce to be on the lookout for other potential cultists visiting. A pair of SIG honorguards saluted when the director reached the doors. He stepped into the room which he had visited many times. Sitting behind his desk, Wayford was working on his holo-PC. He nodded towards Williams and motioned for him sit down. He looked up from his work. "Williams, good to see you. I assume you have the report from last night's operation?" Williams nodded. "Indeed. We identified all the fanatics. The majority of them are from the planet of Zyur II." "Zyur II, one of the fringe worlds?" "Yes, located between the Divinity Creed's and Lunar Children's respective areas of influence." Wayford crossed his arms. "So what is the next step?" "We hit them."
