Vakarus nodded towards Jag. "May I ask what brings one of your kind here, Mysterious-one?"
"To be absolutely blunt. Payment.", Jag stated coldly. "Like most of my in kin operating within the pirate trade. Through it's was more survival than choice it's seems during these rather dark times for us."
Vakarus nodded understandingly. "Very well, Mysterious-one." He rose up. "Now if you excuse me I have other matters to attend to." With that he did a quick nod before moving on. Next stop was the kitchen. "Greetings, Kitchen Overlord." Said Vakarus jokingly. "How goes the preparation of meals?"
Jag gave him an quick nod before he left the room. Still interested in finding out more his race's history and more importantly, his abilities. The Sanghvi took some time to look over various systems within the armory once again, finding the holo-transcript has still there as it left it The Sanghvi wounder if any of crew would ever take an look at, concluding; probably not.
Alex was looking over at the stove as Vakarus walked in.
Greetings, Kitchen Overlord. How goes the preparation of meals?
"Almost done actually. Wanted to prepare something special for the first time. Even though I was limited to mostly supplies from Sol, I think they will like it. Hopefully nobody gets sick. If they do, Rask is never gonna let me live it down."
After working with the rather sluggish and outdated systems within the armory for sometime. Jag was able to figure out basics of operating them wirelesses through it's implant. The Sanghvi then proceed to take it's time in designing some training and practice protocols within it's hologram array. Most of the settings were being programming around itself as an way of getting a better grip of maneuvering and attacking during an hostile encounter while on board and in the ship's artificial gravity.
"Something from Sol huh? I'm down with anything as long as there aren't any nuts in it." Silvia heard Alex talking about the cooking as she returned to get another juice box.
(( I'm just going to hold Jag at the armory for the time being till something happens or if someone wants to intact with him because your more then welcome to. ))
((Going to sleep, Silvia's at the kitchen with Alex and Vakarus if you need her)
"It sounds promising, you have managed to spark my curiosity, Alex'vakrin." The latter meaning 'friend of Vakr'. "Say, will there be treats? My love for what you call chocolate is no secret." Asked Vakarus while smiling.
January 9th, 2385: I've just relieved Owen from the controls of the Muramasa. He's been very diligent in his first flight, but there's not much more I can teach him while we're still at warp. Now he can go get some rest or maybe schmooze with his new coworkers, if that's what he wants to do. Truth is, I'm nervous. I've been waiting all night and all morning for some kind of indication of how Yanim's doing. She hasn't reported in and we have no way of reaching her, currently. Rask is asleep, but I suppose once 0800 rolls around in a few minutes, I'm going to have to speak with him about it. I don't know if we should tell the crew right away that Boss might be in trouble, but if we need them to deploy on Itara, it would be better that they know... -Neasha Kyral, Second Lieutenant, Terika Belladonna Company
In fact, Rask wasn't asleep anymore. He had gotten out of bed early and gone to the mess hall instead, to get a can of tea for himself and a cup of hot cocoa for Neasha. As he walked in, he greeted his three comrades with a hoarse "Myrka," the kanad word for morning. "How have things been for the new recruits? They settling in alright?"
"The fact that it's no secret is why I keep the chocolate under lock. I got you covered." Alex smiled back. A loud ding could be heard as whatever he was cooking was ready. "Alright, go to the mess hall and waif for it. I'll be there in ten." Alex started going to work and placed the food he had cooked in it's appropriate locations in the mess hall. As it was considered morning, he had prepared breakfast for the crew. Pancakes with a large selection of toppings, eggs cooked in several different styles (bacon is optional), fruit and of course, chocolate chip cookies. Several choices of drink were also prepared including, but not limited to coffee, tea, fruit juice and blue milk. He noticed Rask walking in. "Morning Rask. You can start digging in. Let me just alert the rest." He turned on the intercom. "Breakfast is served in the mess hall. Come on down if you're hungry." He turned back to Rask. "Most of the recruits are fine. Bartender is an asshole tho."
Abraxas heard through the comm and nodded to himself, locking away the contents of the potions and workshop he had made all night. He was surprised to find himself not sleeping at the day. He went out of the Lab and made it through the Mess Hall, seeing at least a couple of workers.
"We've got a bartender? I could have sworn we didn't... eh, whatever. I must have glazed over his file." Rask took a whiff of the food and recognized it as human cooking immediately. "I'll put mine in a box. I've gotta go take over the bridge. Won't be long before we hit the outer perimeter of Black Fleet territory, so keep your wits about you," he warned. After he finished putting his meal together, he departed. ((I have another class to attend, and then I need a short nap. I didn't actually go to bed last night but rather spent the whole night reading a textbook. I'll be back afterward.))
"Hey Rask, you forgot your apple." Alex held an onion in his hand.
Finally, after nearly three hours on and off work. Jag had established an stable and efficient link from it's implant to the ship computer network. Allowing it use of terminal on the ship wirelesses along with partial access to the comms and database on board. Through, still lacking an clearance to higher functions or security ones. While it originally set out to program an training routine, it had found that it's just possible with the rather limited access. And doing it manually was going to take much longer, through not entirely impossible.
"Breakfast is served in the mess hall. Come on down if you're hungry."
Jag heard the intercom and decided to once more met it's crewmates in an social environment. Both to learn their what individual quirks and traits while also building an bond with. The Sanghvi proceed to exit the armory, walking down towards the mess hall with relative ease as it's from gets used to gravity of the ship.
Abrax breathed through his respirator and saw Jag enter through the door. He tilted his head and went to get some food, getting this drink called juice and other meals. He pulled out the black vial and prepared droplets in each nutritious platter. Black liquid oozing. He took his plate and sat down on a table. Planting a straw into the black juice.
Vakarus sat down with a smile on his face, just like a terran kid during the old tradition of christmas. He went at it and managed to shove in at least five or six pancakes at once with topping and all. Next up he went for the bacon and egg which he pretty much swallowed whole. Finally his gaze was fixed on the chocolate chip cookies which were on the far side of the table. Next to Abrax. As he began to silently murmur a faint blue aura surrounded three of the cookies which began to hover over the table, slowly making their way towards Vakarus.
Amelia wakes up and stretches her arms. She yawns, then puts on her fluffy slippers. A stereo she brought with her starts playing "Life Could Be A Dream" by The Coasters as she changes clothes. She smiles, remembering that she was brought back to her bed after she was overwealmed by emotions from the meditation. She feels different, somehow, but not quite sure what. After brushing her teeth and curling her hair, she turns off the stereo and walks quietly out into the hallway.
Taylor snapped awake, sitting up and looking around. Oh, the tiny statue on her shelf had fallen over. She stood and set it back up, before stretching. That was a nice nap. Abrupt end, though. She yawned, then grabbed her beret from nearby and slipped it on. Wonder what the others are up to? She then heard Alex's voice sound off over the intercom, signalling that breakfast was ready. Wonderful! She immediately heads to the mess hall, smelling the food as she enters. Mmmm, eggs and bacon!
Amelia wabbles down the hallway, still relatively sleepy, and walks into the Mess hall, taking a big ol' whiff of the eggs and bacon. She sees Taylor just ahead of her and greets, "Good morning."
Taylor glances back at her, and smiles. "G'mornin'! How was your little meditation session?" she asked. She remembered seeing her and Vakarus together before she took her nap.
She chuckles, "Haha, well, it was the first time I did anything remotely similar to that. I passed out, I think. It was a little too much for me."
After finishing his meal in the blink of a eye where no one saw he breathed through and pulled out a journal. He opened it to see an angular design drawn out. One of his signature made guns a year ago. The weapon was shaped like a flintlock, only more fitted with clips. Also engravings, despite the fact it gives you no tactical advantage whatsoever. He drew more and made sure to think of other considerations.
She chuckles, "Haha, well, it was the first time I did anything remotely similar to that. I passed out, I think. It was a little too much for me."
"Ah. I imagine if you do it enough, you'll get used to it so you don't conk out. Anyway, lets grab something to eat, shall we?" she said, motioning towards where the food was. [Bad weather here, so if I abruptly stop, its due to that.]
Jag entered the mess hall an tad earlier then the rest. Through due it's unique silicon blase biologically, Jag was incapable of conventional digestion. Instead the Sanghvi referred lean towards the back of the mess hall, looking over the soft-carbons and how they acted to one another. Taking mental note of their various relations between them.
One by one the chocolate cookies entered Vakarus's mouth. He ate them loudly while shivering as if it was one of the best things he had ever experienced. It would be one of the first things Taylor and Amelia would see as they stepped through the door. "Noviik laadim!" Exclaimed Vakarus loudly. "Adaan avok, Alex'vakrin!" At this point Vakarus's eyes and staff were glowing as psionic energy flowed through his body.
Amelia widens her eyes in suprise. After a little shock, she chuckles, after spotting some crumbs on the table where Varakrus is sitting. "Woah... those cookies must be a-ok, huh, Vakarus."
Using his psionic powers, the plate of cookies started hovering towards Amelia. "Curious-one! You must try!" Said a eager Vakarus.
'He REALLY likes those cookies,' thought Taylor to herself as she watched Vakarus for a moment. Taylor then fetches herself a plate full of eggs, bacon, and pancakes, before grabbing some orange juice and sitting down off to herself. She'll save the sweets for later, if there's any left. She chows down, but calmly enough to not get food everywhere. She was hungry, but not THAT hungry.
"Haha, sure thing." she extends her arm to grab a cookie, then takes a bite. "Hm..." she says, chewing her food, "It's pweety gud." she swallows. "I should have another," she takes another cookie, then another, then another, soon the whole plate is gone, quickly. "Aaaaaa~" she moans happily, rubbing her belly. "That was pretty good. Thanks for the cookies!" She then grabs a plate, fills it up with eggs and bacon, a lot for someone her height, and sits down at a table. She chows down on the meal, eating with great speed.
