Yuga takes her cup from Hariim and nods slightly. She turns back to Hestia, "A construct is a welcome change to the excess cyborgs we have in our employment. I'm sure our medical personnel will be delighted to have a tried and tested model like yourself to work with." her compass transmits. She takes a small sip from her teacup and puts it down on the armrest of her chair before turning her attention towards Hariim and Johannes, "Mr Meijde, I assure you that you have nothing to fear from our cybertechnican. You will let him upgrade your suits systems before we depart or you may refuse, leaving you at a disadvantage. And should your relationship deteriorate further I shall have you both sacked from this company." She conveyed with clear hint of anger in her tone, inspecting both Hariim and Johannes during the last part. She turned towards Taylor and Jag. Fearing Jag might have regained his strength to keep up his painful barrier she opted to use the compass for this discussion, "Now, I trust you are ready to give me a credible explanation?".
"No, XO. Though Johannes seems determined to insult me at as many turns as he can muster. I'll fix up his suit prettier than an Orange Mount Olympus Daffodil in full bloom, but I just don't know if we got off on the wrong foot or what." He looks at Johannes flatly. "I'll use some of the Muramasa's internal storage to hold your data for as long as we need to, and get it to you. Then I'll need to connect to your suit's systems so I can figure out what will work with it and what won't. Open up a connection to the wireless network and we can get started." With that, he begins setting up a secure partition on one of the Muramasa's main memory cores for Johanne's unspecified 'specs'. He wonders how he's going to retrieve a file he doesn't even know the name or content of. With that done, all Johannes needs to do is open up a connection for the magic to begin. While he does that, he also delegates some of his runtimes to maintaining the conversation with Hestia. "Never gotten to meet a Hestia series in the real before, always heard about you guys though. You're very well put-together, how's the function on your hardware? Our resident chief engineer, Bucky, is always chattering at me about how she's afraid of wear and tear. She was built as a pleasure model.... Planned obsolescence and all that jazz." --------------------------------------- Bucky cheers a little, glad to be done with that piece of work. "Yay! Awesome job on those welds. Let's replace the paneling and then get down to the engine bays. The sooner we can get those calibrations done the sooner I can do some target practice with my new gear!" The peppy android exclaims and sets about merrily finishing up the final task in the operation. It only takes a few moments, and then everything is done. "I'd offer to race you, but I already kinda beat your butt at that earlier. So... yeah."
"Now, I trust you are ready to give me a credible explanation?"
Jag step forward in font of Taylor, looking down at the Ayr face to face. "Yes Captain, I will give you the full explanation." Jag said through it's implant towards Yuga. "I assume you know or are at least aware of my kind's connection to the void?" Jag stated while crossing it's arms behind it's back.
"To a certain degree, yes"
:snip: [Gonna let deathgrunt do his thing first]
"Then you know that one of us can dive deep into it's core, where I and some of the chosen within the Sanghvi race can theoretically find fragments of eons worth of knowledge. Where even the memories of my fallen kin can be found there." Jag further explain it's explanation towards Yuga. "Through it seems like an gold mine of priceless information, an untapped library of all Sanghvi and other void gifted races connected to it within the galaxy." Jag said before bowing it's head sightly towards the floor of the wide, open room. "Only those who had masted themselves can only hope to seek out any small hint of guidance within it's endless mass..." Jag said while rising it's face back towards Yuga's eye level. "And that's what I tired to do, the wall is the aftermath of my own futile attempt. It's was through the panic of the moment the void gave me that I did what I did out of simple fear As those who go into the depths of the void, must be strong themselves or else they find shadows of their inner demons, coming to them face to face.." The Sanghvi concluded to Yuga in tired and beaten tone. Through Jag's voice was weak, it's will had recovered enough to restore it's outwards barrier.
Afterburners were on, warp drive was charging up. Moloch was speeding alongside the border of Ayr space. It would take a while for him to reach the other side, but he really did not want to know what they would do to him if he dared to re-enter their borders again. Still, they couldn't stop him from looking within it. The warp drive on his shuttle was finished charging, and he was ready to warp elsewhere in the galaxy. He set coordinates to where he wanted to go and hit the warp button. ...Except something went wrong during the warp process. Whatever it was those marines placed inside his shuttle has interfered with his navigation system. The warp was taking him somewhere else.
Yuga narrowed her eyes. What Jag referred to as the void was by the Ayr known as a specific entity called Sagshi (The Deceiver). during it's younger years the Ayr race had been able to communicate with it, but the greed to control the knowledge drove the them against one another. When the empire was established and the ayr race was united under a single banner, the practice of contacting Sagshi was outlawed and shunned and so it had been for hundreds of years. Yuga mauled over Jag's explanation some more before replying, "Very well, Mr Perditus. I shall hope that it will not affect your ability to perform your duties and that you will act with restraint in the future regarding this matter." Yuga remained professional to hide her disdain. Yet another reason why the sanghvi should not be allowed to expand and have any influence on galactic affairs. A race who claimed to be their own master but sought the help of the great deceiver were only bearing a mask of stability and progress.
Hestia simply step back from Yuga after she look towards the two mercenaries in the room. After excusing herself, she begin to walk towards the medical bay and met her partner. However, she felt another over the network soon after.
"Never gotten to meet a Hestia series in the real before, always heard about you guys though. You're very well put-together, how's the function on your hardware? Our resident chief engineer, Bucky, is always chattering at me about how she's afraid of wear and tear. She was built as a pleasure model.... Planned obsolescence and all that jazz."
"My physical body is built and heavily optimized towards working in medical and surgical procedures, not field work or much else I must say. Through I would like to met this 'Buckly' later and discuss any issues she is facing personally. I would also like accesses to the Muramasa archives as I seem to be unable to access it at the moment." Hestia said through the network while walking down the corridor leading to the med bay.
Taylor folded her arms and listened, as she stepped to the side and looked between the two. ....
"I'd offer to race you, but I already kinda beat your butt at that earlier. So... yeah."
"I guess that means I owe you that dress and such? Also, I play dirty in real life, so I probably shouldn't race you to the engine bay unless you want to end up with a broken leg or something." said Valkyrie with a sly smirk as she gathered the tools up that they had brought with them. Then, she left out of the room and headed down to the Engine room.
The masterpiece was finished! Doves were flying and flowers were blooming! The sun itself shone on the miracle which just took place right outside Frosty's cabin door! This was Frosty's magnum opus of the highest artistic value. Surely even someone as ULTRA cultured as Yuga will be impressed with the absolute sheer volume of artistic talent this piece de resistance Frosty has created with his blood, his sweat, and his tears. ... He just fucking scribbled 'ROSTY' underneath the 'F' in F-Zone. Hopefully the rest of the crew will understand it better now that this is his cabin and not some weird sex dungeon. Nobody would want to bang a recently unfrozen, 400 year old possibly-android/possibly-alien hybrid man thing.
Bucky waggles her eyebrows at Valkyrie. "Well~ My legs are kinda hard to break, and I'm a bit faster than most fleshies. So. You wanna gamble?" She asks playfully as she walks along with Valk. Already she's prepping her interior systems for a full-on sprint. "Winner gets pick of any prize?"
Jag knew quite well of the common Ayr's view on the void itself, knowing that they despised it and denounced to be simply heretical in their society. Believing to be that of an devilish entity rather then a other plane of existence that was beyond the physical where nothing and everything had meaning. Nevertheless, Jag cared not of her or her kin's limited opinions. Through along Taylor, it did remind Jag of someone who above such misguided efforts. But thinking of that lead itself into the situation it was in now. It would be better to keep focus on the present rather then the past.
"Very well, Mr Perditus. I shall hope that it will not affect your ability to perform your duties and that you will act with restraint in the future regarding this matter."
"Understood, Captain." Jag answered, the Sanghvi looked around for moment before looking back towards Taylor and then Yuga. "Is there anything else that must be said, Captain?" Jag asked with arms crossed and it's posture upright.
"Well~ My legs are kinda hard to break, and I'm a bit faster than most fleshies. So. You wanna gamble? Winner gets pick of any prize?"
"Eh, gonna have to decline on this one. Got too much junk in my hands." replied Valkyrie, lifting the tools and scrap piping in her arms up as if to show her. "Plus, 'winner gets pick of any prize' sounds a bit devious coming from you." she said with a chuckle.
"I swear, I was just gonna ask for a new copy of Ragin' Rocket Rambo 16. And besides, there's not a single devious bone in my body... Literally. Though I guess I do have an endoskeletal analogue, but that's not really anything like what you humans have." Bucky giggles back, and pops the hatch to the engine room open. That glorious smorgasbord of technology awaits beyond. "The warp engines are located port, starboard, ventral, and dorsal. See that big donut-looking thing? They're in there. Artificial gravity is maintained all inside there so we can just walk around like we are on the deck here." Bucky says, leading Valkyrie down to a work station. She tells Valkyrie what she needs to do, and then makes her way to the warp engines to begin the calibrations. Hariim quickly corrects the problem, and gives Hestia basic access to the Muramasa's archives. "And yeah, Bucky would probably like to meet you. She's a free agent herself, but her model type wasn't built to last more than a few decades or so. She could probably use another android to help her out. An old borg like me just can't get in the frame of mind to lend a hand."

Also thank you, Mr. Hariim, you have been very helpfully." Hestia sent over the network before halting herself in the middle of the hallway, taking an moment to get use to the Muramasa archives system and update herself on the events the crew has undertook. After several long seconds of deep thinking, she concludes her vote for the side of the growing conflict in the south.
Captain Shuur, I have finish thinking over my vote if it is valid. I have done with the basis of the well being of the Elysium Combine. I put forward my vote towards the Mantle, as the Collective is an far larger threat towards the Elysium Combine. It would not take long for them to refocus their efforts of pacifying smaller interstellar governments such as the Combine if they had the upper hand in the war. I know Sanghvi hold an harder view on synthetic life but they wouldn't able to quickly expand as the Collective would do so if given the chance. I know this might be an hard and rather unpopular decision for you as your empire is allied with the Collective. But I feel that my vote is the best course of action in the long run for my people. -Hestia Zeta- 9
Yuga walked over to the captains chair and sat down, "No That will be all, Mr Perditus." She picked up the teacup and gestured to Taylor to proceed before taking a sip. Hestia had now put forward her vote and it was now tied between the new factions. Yuga was displeased that the crew would vote for the sanghvi only out of pity and to spite the collective. Undoubtedly, if they sided with the mantle they could make an enemy out of the state security, which had arms reaching out to almost all parts of the galaxy, something no Sanghvi installation could do. But if they tipped the scales on one world it could prolong the conflict and keep the Empire safe and prosperous on the sidelines. She would have to consult Taylor on this matter.
Valkyrie got to work right away, firing up the work station and plugging her calibration tool into it. Bucky was just telling her stuff she already knew. She had known how to work on engines like these for a while now, having been trained to do it since she was still a child. Though freighter and cruiser engines were much larger than these. She looked around a bit, before continuing her work. She missed the old freighter...though there wasn't much chance of her getting it back. The SDF took it after killing her mother and father, and probably either junked it or destroyed it. She sighed, then smirked at another thought. Imagine if they had had a destroyer or heavy cruiser instead? Or a CAPITAL ship? Valkyrie grinned a bit. One day, she'd have a capital ship. Or at least a battleship. One to call her own, as well as her own pirate fleet. And she'd pillage whoever the fuck she wanted. .... Taylor simply shifted her stance to face Yuga. "I hope my work was satisfactory, ma'am." she said, standing at attention. "Is there anything else you wish of me, Captain?" she continued.
Yuga put down her cup and put her hands together, giving Taylor a serious look. "It seems that our crew has a difficult time choosing our allegiance for our next assignment. As you are the first mate of my choosing I thought it wise to consult you on your opinion before I, the acting captain, makes the final decision."

Should be in the neighborhood of two or three terabytes. Everything needs to be transferred. And you really need to learn to take a joke, Hariim." With that, Johannes gives Hariim the decryption sequence so he can access the folders [editline]4th June 2016[/editline]
Yuga walked over to the captains chair and sat down, "No That will be all, Mr Perditus." After recieving her answer from Hariim, Amy was left confused. Who the hell put those cameras there? Was it the ship's manufacturer? The previous owners? She left those questions bounce around in her mind as she was getting her food and the others were talking. She took the food tray and headed straight back to her room, she always prefered to eat alone when posible. She got to her door, when she noticed Frosty working hard on his latest project. When did he get back here? How long was she getting her food? Not wanting to stand there awkwardly in the hallway, she spoke. "So, that's what the F stood for."
"Indeed! I'm not sure why anyone would think otherwise. If anyone wishes to *ahem* get busy then they can do it in their own cabin. Not mine." replied Frosty.
"Could have been worse, could have named it the 'Bone zone', like a certain group of mercenaries would.'
"Well now that's more specific than the F-Zone, and is easier on the tongue too. Who would name it that anyway?"
"Death vigil. They have that black and white, skulls painted on the armor thing going on."
((A "Bone Zone" sign appears on Johannes' door :v: ))
