((You can easily force out religious fanatics and have a secularized state. Freedom of thought, conscience and religion is a human right.))
((THIS SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING A CREED SPY WOULD SAY But yeah, religion is banned. Of course we all know that IRL that'd be hard as shit to pull off and it would cause alot of problems but like Otterman said; we're in a science-fiction universe. Besides, everyone's happier now. Except for the fanatics. :) )) Vakarus nodded. "As you wish, Tall-one." He gestured with his hand while walking towards the bridge. "As I told Alex'vakrin, our quest to disable the enemy facilities have been put to a halt. Two of our warriors were reported as casualties, I do not yet know their identities, and they were forced to retreat from combat. The Frozen-one was also engaged while battling the enemy in the skies, he was unfortunately defeated and before we could recover his body in order to honor his ancestors a unknown man stole and desecrated it. It is to my understanding that Yuga'atvan wishes to have some form of dialogue with him." ----- Maddox nodded towards Johannes. "Were you praying?" The last word was spoken with a heavy tone of suspicion.
Porter inhales through his mask, then lets out a big, dissapointed sigh, with a bit of steam flowing out. "God damn... sounds like a mission failure. If Abrax is out there, and if he isn't one of the K.I.A.'s, then I hope he can keep them stable enough." He stops to think. "Yuga? Dialogue?" he chuckles, "That's not going to end well."
Johannes looks up at Maddox and raises an eyebrow. "Yes? I was praying for Abraxas' treatment to be as effective as possible, and for Valkyrie and Amy to recover from their wounds. There is nothing I can personally do to help. Why?"
Abraxas walked out of the room, replaced the surgical gloves with his original ones. He pulled out a cigarette and lid it, inhaling through his gas mask port. He leaned against one of the walls, hand inside his pocket.
"Very well, our destination is within the engineering department of the vessel, Superior Taylor. My Implant has already linked into the vessel's minor systems, we should not be disturbed in our meditation."
"Alright, lets go." she said, walking towards the hallway. She paused, though, when Mad asked Johannes about his prayer. "Keep it civil, guys. We're not in Sol space. Can believe what you want out here." she said, looking between the two before proceeding on. Taylor herself was pretty indifferent to religion. Yes, she did enforce the laws that Sol put into place regarding it, but she personally didn't care about it. She knew her mother was religious. A 'Catholic' or something, she called herself once. She kept it to herself, though, so only Taylor knew about it. And she wasn't going to turn her only surviving relative in to the SDF. She passed Abraxas as she went down the hall, pausing again. "Good work, doc. Hopefully they pull through." she said softly, then kept walking.
Johannes glances at Taylor at her comment, before she leaves. "Why wouldn't a discussion about religion be civil?" He turns to Maddox and addresses him. "Did I miss something while frozen?"
"Hello I'm Bob Doyle." "And I'm Diana Winter." "We'll now bring major updates to the previous topic, the veterans of the Oracle War." Bob Doyle stacked several papers, clearing his throat for the major camera focusing on him. "We'll first talk about the destruction of Anvil's Pride. We can fully confirm with several sources that the men and women responsible are none other than the veterans and convicts stationed at Alcatraz. It is not confirmed whether these people are affiliated with other groups or organizations." Bob stated, putting on reading glasses against the bridge of his nose. Diana nodded, staring at the camera. "We can identify at least two individuals from Alcatraz, who have escaped with the woman who infiltrated the Prison Facility. The first one we have is a Kercan, his nickname is Slaughter, was located in the deepest bottom of the Prison until the riot broke out. Slaughter is highly dangerous and has a price on his head for 2 Billion." Diana said through. "Our next fugitive is a woman who served fighting on the planet called Zeruel, who later went into hiding until a few weeks later until she was captured by an anonymous group, taken to Alcatraz for unidentified reasons. This fugitive was known for serving in the now defunct HarkArk Privateers. The woman is named Kira Greene, highly dangerous and a major threat. She also has a price on her head for 2 Billion." Bob Doyle stated, showing the pictures of Kira, the notable trait is a pony tail. "We are still not certain what are their main motives or personal goal." "We have recent reports that the group was last located at Duroma, hidden from daily activity. It is very important you report them to your local authority and stay within safe boundary from them. Besides names we have yet to report any valuable background information regarding the group. If you any have info then do not hesitate to contact Intergalactica. Remember to tune in next time for further updates on the veterans." "I'm Bob Doyle." "And I'm Diana Winter, we'll be right back to discuss matters of the Kercan State." Both news anchors stared at the camera, signing off...

[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/1HUV6r.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/gLvOMD.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/ZbLRL2.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/x57Vav.jpg[/t]
... Abraxas waved off his holoband, somewhat intrigued by the news. He walked off and listened to whoever was talking, avoiding their faces.
Hariim maintains as much composure as he can, and sits in whatever passes for the common area of the Cataphract. He's reviewing data. Every single bit of digital action he encountered in the base is currently playing back through his skull right down to the brass tacks binary. He's learning what his opponents in cyberspace are doing and using, and is optimizing his network infiltration practices and software to better counteract them. He wants to win round 2, and he doesn't want for there to be a round 3. ------------------------------------------- In the meantime, Bucky is still managing the Muramasa's systems and workings. She's been figuring out ways to increase the efficiency of the ship's internal heat sinks, further reducing it's EM and IR signatures.
Jag looked onto Abraxas as it pasted him by before walking into the corridor with Taylor behind it. Once inside, the passing guard at the end of hallway was caught off guard by the sight of the towering Sanghvi. He stood startled at it's physical height, his armor suit seemed to have been recently refurbished, most likely salvaged from some old Concordis surplus. Nevertheless, the guard anxiously stared at Jag. Shaking inside armor that was old then him. The guard then suddenly took an step back and left the corridor eagerly. Probably called off to preform some menial task elsewhere. "So," Jag said while walking through the empty hallway with Taylor, "Do you believe in any such deities or divine fates, Superior Taylor?" Jag asked dryly to Taylor while they both walked towards the engineering section of the vessel.
"So, do you believe in any such deities or divine fates, Superior Taylor?"
"Nah. Sorta hope there's an afterlife, though, since the idea of just being...well...dead is a bit depressing." said Taylor, as they walked. "I'm fine with others believing what they want to believe, though. Everyone believes in something or another." she continued. She glanced up at him as she finished.

"For hope drives us all....Superior Taylor," Jag after a short pause, "For without it, we would all be slaves to despair."
"Yes, everyone must believe in something, whether it be an ideology, an higher power, an goal...for hope drives us all, Superior Taylor. For without it, we would all be slaves to despair."
"Mhm. I believe in my comrades, I believe in the mission I'm given, and I believe in my personal morals and feelings." she said, with a nod. "I've done pretty well with that so far."
((you're probably not helping her feel any better))
((Let the rock talk.)) Maddox nodded. "Have you had time to read up on the Sol Unification yet?"
Johannes shakes his head. "No. My cryopod was found by a Sselik pirate crew. I worked for them for two years, then split off and with the Captain's help started working solo, picking up assassination, smuggling, and protection contracts in the fringe systems. I knew how long I'd been frozen. I had no desire to return to Earth and see first hand what I had lost." Johannes shrugs limply. "I hadn't been back to the Sol system until the Murumasa picked me up on Mars. I find it easier to imagine my family alive and well on Earth if I don't dwell on what's changed."
Maddox nodded understandingly. "I see." He got up and sat down next to Johannes. "Well, there was a time when all the countries on Terra and their respective colonies throughout the Sol system decided to unite under a single banner. The generations before had taught the people of Sol about Terra's bloody past, hundreds of wars and armed conflicts in the name of religion and greed." "The Sol System Government was formed and with it the SDF. The system was full of joy untill the SSG announced several new laws. While most of these new laws were fairly standard one in particular stood out: the banning of religion." "Riots broke out and the Sol Police struggled to keep the order. That's when the SSG declared that all citizens either abandon their religious beliefs for the good of the people or they would either have to leave the system or face prison time." "Most people complied however more hardcore worshippers did not and took up arms to fight the SDF. Hundreds of smaller cults and groups fought alongside the larger groups, most noteably the Lunar Children and the Divinity Creed. In the end a lengthy conflict was fought to unite the system, a conflict which the SDF won."
Johannes purses his lips, looking almost irritated. "I see. That sounds... unfortunate. No matter. I've never been a militant Catholic and I don't plan to start now. That being said, that's a part of me I can't let go. It keeps me close to my family, where it matters at least. On the days when I remember where I am, and where they aren't it's what I can turn to." He looks over at Maddox, his eyes hard. "I trust you aren't going to give me a hard time over my beliefs?"
"I've done pretty well with that so far."
"Yes you have, Superior Taylor, but you are still stronger then believe." Jag says with a sightly more booming tone. "For I can see there is greatness within you, Superior Taylor. I've see many freelancers and corsairs in my time but you show a rare potential within your self."
"Yes, you have, Superior Taylor. But you are still stronger then believe. For I can see there is greatness within you, Superior Taylor. I've see many freelancers and corsairs in my time, but you show a rare potential within your self."
"Heh. You sound like my old CO." she said, raising an eyebrow. "'Believe in yourself, and you can do some amazing shit, Caine.' he said. I guess he had a point. I was doing well enough that SSFD was looking to recruit me."

Name: Mercy Fontanne Picture: [t]https://scstylecaster.files.wordpress.com/2015/12/elizabeth-taylor.jpg[/t] Physical Description: About 6'1", with a relatively athletic build. Birthdate: 10 August, 2354 (31) Race: Human Profession: Combat Medic Bio: Mercy was born on Earth, to a middle-class family in France. All her life, she always dreamed of being a doctor, so she worked hard in school and got her grades up to go to medical college... And then failed horribly, getting kicked out with little more than crippling debt. So she did the next best thing, hopped on the first shuttle out of there and joined up with a mercenary crew! Naturally... she hasn't actually paid the debts back, either. Maybe one day... She's as green as they come, unfortunately, but still generally tries to be peppy and friendly, even in the worst of situations. Special Skills or Attributes: Triage (CH 1/4 of 100% heal, CH 1/2 when target is below 10%, and +20 HP for all failed rolls.) ------------------------------------- Mercy walks into the medical bay, rubbing her eyes, yawning. She looks up at the crew assembled there, rubbing her eyes again before standing bolt-upright. "Oh, ahm, bonjour!" She says, somewhat hurriedly. "I was, ahm, not expecting so many people in ze medbay today!" Her eyes dart around, examining the people occupying the room.
"Believe in yourself, and you can do some amazing shit, Caine.' he said. I guess he had a point. I was doing well enough that SSFD was looking to recruit me."
"The only true barrier that stops us, Superior Taylor," Jag said as they both reached engineering door, "Is our own doubt." The engineering section was fairly standard these class of vessel, most of the engineering staff seem to be absent. Despite the room heavy heat, the section was strangely quiet. Maybe an odd side effect of the ship's crew trying to hide it's profile from any UGC scans. "There." Jag said while rising it's arm, pointing towards a empty space near the ship cooling systems. "I'll be siting across from there, I prefer the my meditating in section's uncool temperature of 83.5 degrees Celsius." "Through I believe you would prefer coolant filtering station to meditate with only a nearly quarter of the room of overall temperature."
"Through I believe you would prefer coolant filtering station to meditate with only a nearly quarter of the room of overall temperature."
"Yeah. Rather not boil to death." she said, with a chuckle. She was already sweating a bit, and she hadn't even been in the room long. She strolled over next to the coolant filtering station, and sat down on the floor. She folded her legs, and assumed a peaceful posture with her back against the wall behind her. She closed her eyes, and slowed her breathing. Time to meditate.
((Snipercom did Sega approve your character?)) Maddox shook his head. "Like Taylor said, we're not in Sol space. Plus, I know for a fact that you aren't a religious fanatic so reporting you would serve no purpose."
Johannes simply inclines his head at Maddox, then bows his head and resumes his prayer for Amy and Valkyrie.
Maddox goes back to his previous position and sits down. ((By the way Snipercom, there's nobody in the medbay right now. Ground team are onboard a separate vessel while those still on the Muramasa are on the bridge.))

((Oh, well it wasn't very clear which ship Mercy was on.))
