Maddox narrowed his eyes. He looked at Porter. "Hey Porter, you mind asking the Cataract crew if they have a spare cryogenics core? I need it for a project I'm doing."
Porter takes out his notepad, sending a message to the crew of the Cataract
This is Porter from the Muramasa to the crew of the Cataract. If you have a spare cryogenics core, please send me a response if you do. Otherwise ignore this message.
"Want me to deliver it to you, because," he stretches his shoulders, "I'm pretty full here," he grins under the mask.
"I am delighted we can agree on the current state of affairs."
She picked up her hat and compass and turned towards Jag, "When I return to Ayr I shall use a contact of my aunts to report this finding to Shiniya and the Overseers. As a last favour I would like to see if you can extract some information that could paint a clearer picture of this individual. He seemed to confide something in Mr Celofan before his departure. He trusts you more than he trusts me. I urge you to succeed with this undertaking, Not because I was your captain, but because you and I both realize the gravity and possible implications that could arise from this if it is left without analysis."
She put her hat on and put the compass into one of the inner pockets of her greatcoat.
"I will be on the bridge to discuss with you new captain." she said, before departing to the bridge.
"How about you don't and listen to me?" János responded.
"I understand that you're worried, especially with who you seem to be. Imagine what the others would say; Taylor, Yuga, Jag, Porter, Markus, the Boss.... At least a few of them would have incredibly choice words with you. The entire company could be put under stress - what other spies could there be? The main three wouldn't be able to handle that, especially the Boss, wondering if there is a State Security spy around, following her moves.
"Now, I swear to you, the only thing I want to do is send an urgent message anonymously and encrypted to the Sol Army. Then, I promise to erase everything about this. You'll know I'm not faking it when I'm forced to restart."
Maddox grins at Porter. "I guess I forgot we have private messages these days. Imagine how horrible it'd be if we lived in a world without privacy."
Mad then turned to János. "If you as much as whisper any of this to anyone else, espcially Taylor, Yuga or Yanim, I'll put you down."
The safety was turned back on and Maddox got up from his chair. "Hey Porter, mind watching over my stuff for a bit? I think Markus might take the opportunity to booby trap my weapons if I leave them unattended."
He pointed at János. "I'll be back in a few right after I've helped János with a thing."
As the duo left the armory Mad glanced at the android. "Let's head over to the interrogation room. Lead the way."
Taylor waited silently on the bridge, standing at parade rest as she looked over the holomap. She pondered exactly what she'd say to Yuga about all of this. She just replaced her as captain, and Yuga wasn't too thrilled, but they still needed to talk. She glanced back as she heard Yuga's shoes clack against the metal floor. "Owen, Vakarus, can we have the bridge? I'd like to speak to Yuga privately." said Taylor, turning to face Yuga.
Vakarus nodded. "As you wish Taylor'atvan." Said the Vakr warrior. As he passed Yuga on the way out he bowed his head slighlty. A sign of respect.
"Hey Porter, mind watching over my stuff for a bit? I think Markus might take the opportunity to booby trap my weapons if I leave them unattended."
"Sure," he agrees, taking a stance next to Maddox's weapons, holding his beautiful shotgun.

Amelia sits down in a chair next to Amy and Valk, every now and then she looks at their vital signs, but other than that, she sit. Sitting is fun.
Owen left the bridge and headed to his quarters
Taylor watched the two that had remained on the bridge leave, then focused her attention on Yuga. This was going to be 'fun'. "...I'm sure you have plenty to say about me right now, so we might as well get it out in the open." she said, her eyes locked onto Yuga's.
"I will be on the bridge to discuss with you new captain."
"Thank you for your time, Miss Yuga. I will discuss this matter with Enforcer Celofan and inform you when possible." Jag said before turning to face the door.
"It good that we deal with this affair together, while discerning to see that the crew's naive outlook blinds them still.
I will see to it that they will all be appropriately disciplined by this mission end, I can assure you that by my own experience with such petty incidents."
Jag said before looking over it's shoulder back to Yuga.
"Farewell, Miss Shuur." Jag said, bowing it's head down towards her.
Jag then turn to look forward and walks out of the room, down the corridor towards the armory.
János nodded to Maddox, as the two headed into the Brig, and into the interrogation room.
Yuga tilted her head back slightly, looking up at Taylor.
"First off I assume it would in order to congratulate you on your promotion Captain"
Taylor could very well detect the complete lack of sincerity in her statement. But Yuga continued before she could respond.
"But I would advice you to launch an enquiry into the individual who took possession of Forsty's remains. Personally I plan on informing a bureau which will contact the SSOID regarding this matter. Should some new information be discovered about his nature it would be most unfortunate that several SDF affiliates were present but did not take action."
Hariim finishes tearing apart the camera network in search of clues, and finds what he's looking for. An automated system reporting to a certain someone's computer. Somewhat concerned and amused, he advises the rest of the crew to search their quarters.
Hariim here everyone. I've gotten to the bottom of the hidden camera problem. Turns out Rask was keeping tabs on us. For what reason I don't know. Anyways, check your closets, above your beds, and in your showers. I've taken the liberty of eliminating the camera network's connection to Rask's computer. He won't be peeping on us anymore.

And with that business done, he finds his way to the bridge and waits for Taylor to complete her business with the former captain. He intends to make a formal report and bring her up to speed on the current state of the ship's systems and his explorations into them.

Bucky leaves a holo-card for Valk after saying goodbye to Johannes. She finds her way back to the Muramasa and checks her ship over; everything seems alright on her diagnostics save for a slight variance in one of the primary heat sinks in the ship's main superstructure. The poor android spends the whole night troubleshooting the problem and misses Taylor's coronation. She resolves to congratulate Taylor on her promotion when they inevitably cross paths again.
Soon after that resolution, Bucky finds and fixes the problem, and heads down to the mess hall to get some food for a good recharge.
This is Chief Engineer Kel'Sselik. We have a couple of cryocores lying around. How many did you need?
Taylor's eyes narrowed a bit as Yuga said 'Captain', but she didn't bother responding as Yuga didn't let her.

"I plan to. I also plan on asking János about exactly what Moloch told him. Another thing...when did you plan on telling me that all of this was going down? That Frosty had even been shot down in the first place? That this random guy shows up to take him? I asked you for an update on the ship and crew out here while we were still inside the missile base."
Yuga narrowed her eyes, having had the issue spun on her.
"There was no connection for us to send messages to you while you were underground in the base."
Yuga browsed Taylors memories, looking over her emotional stability during the mission, "But perhaps that was for the better." she conveyed with a slight hint of ridicule.
Yet again, Yuga continued before she could respond, "Unfortunately, I would have detained him but it seems like the crew had already decided that I was a captain worth disobeying. Their lack of discipline and gullibility allowed him to escape, not my refusal to take action."
((Johannes would like to point out he didn't do anything.))
"And it will not happen again. Orders I issue will be followed to the letter. I will not tolerate anything less." said responded Taylor. She had a look of determination in her eyes. Taylor was probably THE hard-ass when it came to how troops were dealt with back on her homeworld. She was strict, rigorous, and held back no punishments when it came to those under her command. And her men respected her for it.
But it had been two years since she was in the SDF. Mercenary life had made her softer. Emotions were getting the better of her, and both Yuga as well as Jag made her realize that. It was time to buckle down and do this shit. But first, she had the issue of a first officer to deal with. "Yuga, what do you plan to do now?"

Porter sends a message back
Just one will do fine, I think. Also, as of right now my hands are full, if one of you could deliver it, that would be great. If not, I'll get it after the mission.
Amelia sits even more. Sit. Sit. Sit.
Amelia sits even more. Sit. Sit. Sit.
((You know she could wander around the Cataract and talk to THAT crew. Taylor was just asking her to help Hestia when she could.))
((Good time to make conversation with the croissant))
Amelia twirls her fingers, then notices it's a pretty akward silence. Maybe spark a conversation with the french doctor? She looks towards Mercy and says, "So, Mercy, got anyone at home you're missing? Parents? Siblings? Fish?"
Istasha replies to porter, on her way to the engineering storage to grab the requested item.
I'll be over with it in a few minutes.
She arrives about ten minutes later in a fresh Engineer's jumpsuit, her ship's insignia emblazoned on the shoulders, and a toolbelt around her waist. Both hands bare, but thick heavy duty gloves stick out from a pouch on the toolbelt stained from work. She stands a few inches taller than Porter, and smiles when she sees him. "Hey. Porter right? I'm Istasha, the engineer you spoke to. You've gotta be the tallest human I've ever seen! I bet you could give a Kovher Sselik a run for his money. Anyway, here's the cryocore you were asking about." She hands him a small cylindrical device about the size of a large apple, emanating a soft blue glow. "What d'ya need it for anyhow?"
Elsewhere in the ship, Johannes has just returned to his bunk from the mess hall, a tall mug of piping hot tea in one hand and a plate of cherries in the other. He sets them on his desk and turns, the cello case Istasha gave him on the Cataract sitting on his bed. He carefully, almost reverently, pulls the Cello from the case and sits on his chair. He spends a few minutes inspecting the instrument, then another five tuning it. Satisfied, he tightens the bow, takes a slow, steady breath, and begins playing.

Yuga squinted in a more friendly way, "I will assist you to the end of this mission. When I have collected my compensation I will depart to Ayr and return to my house hold to attend to some personal business."
She paused for a brief moment, now frowning and looking at Taylor from under her cap visor "But after making a full assessment of this company and it's leadership I have concluded that resigning will simply be ridding myself of a bad investment".

Porter looks up to meet her. Finally, someone taller than him, "Pleasure to meet you, Istasha. Didn't know you were tall. Nice to meet someone who shares my pain with doorways." after being handed the device and asked what for, he grumbles, "It's for Maddox. Apparently it will help him with a science experiment, that's all. Thanks for bringing it here, hope it didn't inconvenience you much."

Amelia tilts her head even further as she waits for a response from Mercy.

Taylor nodded slightly, then tilted her head. "Well, I was looking for a first officer, and you were actually on my mind for the job. Along with Jag, Alex, and Mad. I was wanting to see what your plans were before asking if you'd be up for it if I chose you."
She continued after a brief pause. "Yuga, you're a pretty great leader. I do respect that. It just seems like you just don't care what happens to the crew. I felt that the crew needed someone in charge that would put lives just as high as the mission."
Istasha chuckles. "Doorways, shelves, arches, reactor containment modules, coolant pipes. You name it, I've slammed my head into it. Good thing us Sselik have thick skulls! And it's no bother at all. I have today 'off'. Although that doesn't stop me from poking my nose in and bothering my engineering crew. I tell you, it feels like I have to hold their hands every time we spool up the main drive core." She rolls her eyes and lounges against the nearest wall, facing Porter. This bring her down to his eye level. "Is Maddox the Muramasa's chief engineer?"
Yuga grimaced, "I am an analyst, not a tactician, Caine. I put you in that place to oversee the tactical information on the ground which I could then process. I was not given sufficient information and you failed to keep your soldiers in line."
She turned around and began walking up the stairs leading to the upper part and the door of the bridge,
"And if you plan on acknowledging faults in another individual, don't compliment them in the same sentence. You were right, Caine, the mercenary work has made you soft and volnurable. If you're quite finished with this sharade I'll bid my leave."
Yuga turned around in the doorway and did a minuscule bow towards Taylor before heading to the mess hall to get some tea.
Hariim walks into the bridge a few seconds after Yuga leaves, and waves to the captain. "Captain Taylor, congrats. I've got some info for you."

Porter chuckles, a nosy engineer, they're always curious.
This bring her down to his eye level. "Is Maddox the Muramasa's chief engineer?"
Porter shakes his head to disagree, "Armorer. Haven't seen his skills in action yet, could use some new boots." he looks down at his boots to take a gander. They're a little ripped, "Doubt that he has the same materials, though."
He looks towards her again, "We do have an engineer, Buckly. Might want to check them out for anything reguarding that."
