"Time to rise and shine, Miss Weinheart," Hesita said in an caring and low tone, "We've got every important work to do."
Amelia snorts as she awakens from her nap, "Hubaduawha... What? Oh, yeah, I'll get right on it," stretching and yawning, she looks at the monitors as her lips pucker, "Are we... moving these two lovely fellows here?" she asks nonchalantly, obviously tired. (been a long time bc college so I hope to begin posting frequently again!)
"Are we... moving these two lovely fellows here?"
Hesita serenaded with an nod. "Why yes, Miss Weinheart, we are." Hesita said with an slight cheer to her synthetic voice. After finishing her words, both of the small in built consoles on Amy and Valkyrie's lighted up green. Letting out an fast mechanical hiss before the hanger's doors opened for them with the Muramasa being just an stone throw away. "Well, Miss Weinheart. I'll be taking care of Miss Amy while I thrust that you will do the same with Valkyrie?" Hesita asked while walking over the handle of Amy's stretcher.
"Well, Miss Weinheart. I'll be taking care of Miss Amy while I thrust that you will do the same with Valkyrie?"
"Of course, no worries," she smiles, grabbing Valkyrie's stretcher. She walks down the ramp, a little bumpy, but nothing too cumbersome. Fast walking across from the Cataract to the hanger door of the Muramasa, she waits patiently for Hestia to catch up.
"Please be carefully with the patients, Miss Weinheart," Hesita said as she walked down the ramp, watching Amelia walk along the planet surface quite fast, gently rising her clutched hand in a nervous fashion while pushing Amy's stretcher towards the Muramasa's ramp. While walking over, Hesita reconnected with the Muramasa's network and begin to quickly look over and calculate the away's team injuries and treatments fast enough to get them back on their feet at an moment's notice. Along with compelling an general massage over the away team's channel.
All injured personnel, please report to the Muramasa for medical treatment. -Hestia Zeta- 9
With nothing to do but wait, Maddox walked up to Taylor. His rifle was hanging by its sling and he held his helmet by the hip. "Hey" he said while giving Taylor a quick smile. "How are you holding up, Cap?"
"Here already? good thing they didn't notice the traps i put down." Jason said upon seeing the Monitor Pad's Scanner, seeing many red dots take form to encircle him. but its who Jason got them in the bait. The Sparrowhawk Operative has set mortar shell landmines all across the small hill. and also the truck also included two defense drones as a last resort if they break the line. "Come on Muramasa.. I'm counting on you..
"How are you holding up, Cap?"
Taylor looked up at him, before cutting a look towards Yuga, whom was still planning out routes to their objective at the holomap. "I'm fine." she bluntly said, before looking back at him. "What about you? Heard you got hit with a nerve toxin." she said, her eyes scanning his figure before looking back up to meet his. "Really nasty stuff."
Maddox grimaced and chuckled. "I'd lie if I said it was painless. Markus had the time of his life while carrying me, so that's something positive." He said while laughing. He met her eyes for a brief moment before continuing. "This last mission gave me some perspective, I want to talk with you about the whole XO-deal."
"I'd lie if I said it was painless. Markus had the time of his life while carrying me, so that's something positive."
"Yeah, I bet." she said with a chuckle, as she quickly glanced towards Markus.
"This last mission gave me some perspective, I want to talk with you about the whole XO-deal."
She wondered what he had to say on the topic. He had done well, for the most part, during the op to get the bombs, but she still needed to speak to Jag about the position too. "Yeah? What about it?" she asked, folding her arms.
"I'm withdrawing from the selection." He nodded towards Taylor. "There were a few moments during the mission where my orders were either disregarded or ignored. As a soldier I know that a squad needs to work perfectly out in the field. If half the people I'm leading on the field don't respect me or listen to me then I can't do my job." He smirked. "Besides, I have enough work already in the armory as it is." "For now, I'll settle for the role as Armorer onboard this ship."
Markus placed his rifle to lean against the console and played with a cartridge as he was sat relaxed in the chair, "So what now, luv? Got any idea 'ow well take out those targeting stations?"
After bringing both Amy and Valkyrie into the Muramasa's medical bay, Hestia made sure to have them both stabilized. Quickly adjusting their monitoring systems to that of the Muramasa. Afterwards, she gave Amelia responsibilities of closely watching over both of them along with explicit instructions of what to do in case of an emergency. Hesita then turned back to overlook Jag walking into the medbay, giving the Sanghvi an quick treatment. Mostly repairing it's outer shell with it's nanomachines using the parts of the rare minerals found months earlier. Rebuilding it's shell within minutes, again, no dialog was exchanged between the two parties with Jag walking to wall an moment later. "Agent Perditus has been healed, anyone needing medical treatment?" Hestia asked over the comms relating to the Away team. Hestia then waited for anyone that needed treatment. Preparing it's medical supplies for it's next patient.
"Agent Perditus has been healed, anyone needing medical treatment?"
"I need some patching up, doc," Porter leans on the doorway, arching his back, "Got slammed into a wall by a tentacle poop monster, wasn't fun. Think you could put some bones back? Some augments probably broke as well." Amelia looks up to meet Porter's face, well, mask. They simply wave to each other.
Bucky replies with an image. She's prioritized all the major stuff, aiming to get essential functions and primary systems up to fighting shape. She's still working like mad. As amazingly efficient as she is, she is just one person working on an entire ship. She's a miracle worker, but some miracles are tougher to pull out of one's ass than others. "They're coming. Just... you know. I need more hands sometimes." ------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, Hariim is reviewing all the relevant data for the crew's current mission and objectives therein. He's trying to compute an optimal approach to propose to the captain. He pulls on his long service in the SDF's marine corps and special forces to figure out a good overall strategy, and a tactical playbook for their next move. He shoots her a message, advising her of his forthcoming reccomendations.
"Captain, I may have some useful information for you to consider for our next operation. I've been collecting and collating data on the forces we've been facing in the field, and working out a series of playbooks and strategies we might use to some effect. Might help with our upcoming meeting with this Jason character, and perhaps our other objectives."

"Got slammed into a wall by a tentacle poop monster, wasn't fun. Think you could put some bones back? Some augments probably broke as well."
"Of course, Mister Porter," Hesita said while readying the medical tools built in to her arm and fingers, "I will have to request that you remove your armor and hardsuit so I can begin treatment." Hesita said while walk over to Porter. --- "Greetings Captain Taylor and Weaponsmith Maddox." Jag said lowly after coming onto the bridge, walking close to them will an sight limp to it's stride and slight hunch in it's posture.
"I will have to request that you remove your armor and hardsuit so I can begin treatment."
Porter clicks a few buttons and unhinges a few leavers to take off his armor one by one. His big bulky chest and stomach are cut in half on the left side by augments, completely black. A look at his back can find his spine in a shape similar to a Z, broken. Amelia pouts, "At least you didn't die."
Taylor raised her eyebrows, sort of surprised by Mad's statement. He's dropping out of the XO running? "I understand. Guess its down to Alex and Jag now." she said, nodding. She looked over towards Markus as he spoke up again.
"So what now, luv? Got any idea 'ow well take out those targeting stations?"
"Well, it really depends on what types of structures the targeting stations are. If they're simple wooden structures, then just simple firebombing would work. If they've got concrete or tile or something, we might have to drop some conventional explosives first, then make another pass to firebomb them properly." she replied, waving a hand. She paused when she felt her holotablet vibrate. She pulled it out and saw that Bucky had sent her a picture of the damage to the ship. Along with a small message.
"They're coming. Just...you know. I need more hands sometimes."
"I'd send you some if I could. Valk's still out cold, and the Cataract has her own repairs to deal with." she replied with, before getting yet another message. From Hariim this time.
"Captain, I may have some useful information for you to consider for our next operation. I've been collecting and collating data on the forces we've been facing in the field, and working out a series of playbooks and strategies we might use to some effect. Might help with our upcoming meeting with this Jason character, and perhaps our other objectives."
She replied with "Alright, shoot me and Yuga the information, and we'll look it over. She'll need to see it since she's planning our routes." She then put away the tablet, and looked up to see Jag enter the bridge. "Hey, Jag. How would you feel about being the XO?" she asked, stepping over to him and folding her arms. It was down to him and Alex anyway, so better to do it now and get it out of the way.
Hariim looks up from the holotable with a perplexed expression. He looks at Jag and Taylor, and resolves to talk to the captain later about whether or not she means to actually consider his candidacy or not. He's been doing all this extra work after all, doing his best to help her make decisions and smart moves. That's the job of an XO anyways, to help the captain in their duties and to provide them with a second point of view and additional information, not to mention administrative and oversight duties.
"Hey, Jag. How would you feel about being the XO?"
"Acceptive," Jag said to Taylor, "I feel that due to my previous experience in interstellar affairs leaves me qualified for the position I personally believe, though I leave that up to your own judgement. Captain Taylor." --- Hesita takes an moment to scan over Porter's body, taking note of his implants and the damage his body has suffered. "You must have been part of Sol's early attempts of full physical augmentations, Mister Porter." Hesita says while looking over his body in an concerned tone.
Yuga looks up from the holotable to Hariim and then to the cluster of people on the upper level. "There is a difference in choosing friends and choosing subordinates, Mr.M'baal." she says with a monotone voice as she continues to analyze their approach. --- Markus grabs his rifle and gets out of the chair to head to the mess hall to get something to eat before the mission. On his way there he runs into Bucky who is reading a tablet which she has plugged into the wall, "Ya need any help, missy? I'd like this tub to stay in one piece until we can get the fuck off this rock."
Hariim regards Yuga. "In command, you should choose neither. Instead, you should choose those best suited for the job. I just don't know what kind of edge Jag has over me. Taylor has seen my service record, I sent it to her. I'm 40 years old. I was in the SDF marine corp, and special forces for over twenty years. I've served as XO, CAG, Squad Leader, and filled other roles I'm not even legally allowed to talk about. But oh well, shit happens." He says quietly in reply. The holotable tabs Hariim has open continue to flash their deluge of information as Hariim mentally puppets a veritable army of processors and other computer hardware to process optimal approach vectors and propable ambush sites that may await them on their way to meet Jason.
As Jag approached Taylor Maddox did a quick salute. "I'll talk to you later." He then excused himself and went for the Muramasa's cargo bay, stopping next to Markus and Bucky on his way. "Everything alright?"
Bucky's face is a mask of frustration, and her hands move so quickly that Markus' and Maddox's eyes can scantly follow them. "No, everything is not alright. I'm doing the best I can to keep this baby together, but with just one set of polymorphic hands things are not easy. Would it seriously have killed the budget to at least hire on a technician I could boss around? Half of the port side's electron transfer matrix grid is out, and I'm going to have to pull a christmas-fucking-miracle to get it all working again."
Maddox put down his rifle, helmet and backpack onto the floor. "I'm no tech but I can work fast. Anything I can help with before Markus and I head out?"
Markus shrugs and raises an eyebrow, looking form Bucky to Maddox and back. "Well then. 'Ere I am offerin' my help, and this is what I get for it?" he says in a haughty tone to Maddox before patting him on the back and continues to walk to the mess, "Good luck with all that, mate." --- Yuga crossed her arms and looked to Hariim, "I thought it was made perfectly clear that positions based on suitable merits do not seem to be in fashion on this ship. Some would argue, give un-disputable service records I should still hold a certain position. But faith would have it that such rules do not apply here. Harbor no illusions, Mr.M'baal, some may have considered me arrogant and un-caring but at least I had the decency to be realistic and up-front about my actions." She glanced towards Taylor hastily before turning back to the map again, "In certain positions, companionship is only a burden hindering you to make beneficial decisions."
"Yeah, maybe. But it's worth a talk." Hariim replies. He walks over to Taylor once she's done talking to Jag. "Captain? Mind if we talk a sec?" --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Shit, should have talked to him more. Oh well, I'm kind of going crazy just now. Anyways, Mad, if you know anything about electron transfer matrices or grav plate Higgs Relays you can definitely help. Otherwise, just go pull up the deck grates on Section C, blocks 15 through 22. That would save me a lot of time." Bucky says distractedly. It's obvious that her mind is in about a billion places at once right now.
"Captain? Mind if we talk a sec?"
Taylor looked over from Jag, raising an eyebrow. "Sure. As you were, Jag." she said, glancing back to Jag before turning to fully face Hariim. "We can step out in the hall or use my Quarters."
"The hall is fine, Captain." Hariim replies. He turns and walks with Taylor out into the hall and leans against the wall to one side once they're at a conversational distance. "Did you consider my candidacy for XO at all, Captain? I never heard back from you about my service record."
Jag does an simple nod towards Hariim, turning back to Taylor. "I'll let you two conserve, I'll submit an portfolio of my achievements and experiences to you later at an more suitable time. Farewell for now, Captain Taylor." Jag said before walking over towards the optical port of the bridge. --- After finishing preparing her surgical instruments, Hestia then turned to Amelia. "Miss Weinheart, please turn away as this procedure is not for the faint of heart." Hesita said in concerned tone towards Amelia.
Maddox nodded towards Bucky. "Ten-four." He fished out a eyepiece from one of his pockets which showed the ship schematics on its minimalist HUD. Using the schematics, he did as Bucky asked and began removing the deck grates. When finished he sent a notification to Bucky alongside a brief crew-wide announcement alerting the other crewmembers to watch their step as to not fall through a opened deck panel. He returned to Bucky. "Deck grates are done. Truth to be told I'm no expert regarding the other stuff you mentioned. I'd probably be more of a pain in the ass. With that said the deck grates are all opened up and unless you have some other simple task I'll head down to the cargo bay."
