"Amnesia, huh, hopefully that'll come back to you someday, Frosty."
"I guess you could say I'm the youngest on this ship. A little on the energetic side, but hopefully not annoying to ya. I'm more experienced in testing out bodies and such, although I can try and fix you up if you're in any harm."
"Oh and I like video games, cartoons, and hot coco. And that's about it."
"Is there anything you have any questions about? It would be my pleasure to help you out!"
Frosty turned to Amelia.
"I do, actually. Now since none of you have tried to kill or rob me, is it safe to assume this is not a raider vessel? And what mission is this crew on? And lastly, who is in charge here?"
[editline]7th March 2016[/editline]
(( brb, it's time for MATH CLASS!! ))
"Well... it isn't a hardcore raider vessel. The rest, umm..." she turns to Taylor accompanied by an unsure look.
"Well... it isn't a hardcore raider vessel. The rest, umm..."
"This isn't a pirate vessel. Anyway, we're on our way to Prospera on a mission. Make sure a guy doesn't win a race, and some mob bosses lose money. Yanim can tell you more. She's the boss. She's either at the bridge, or in her room. I'd check the bridge first."
Yuga exited the bridge to go to her quarters to get some rest.
As she entered the crew corridor she noticed the group talking about Yanim and the plan.
"Ms Terika is not on the bridge. And as for the plan, it might be more than that Ms Caine."
...
Markus leaned onto the table, "You can call me Kov for the time being. Look up 3219-2-2379 in sol's conviction database if ya want more information."
Taylor noticed another voice. Yuga's. "Frosty was mimicking me, then Amelia walked up and they started talking." she said. 170, 30 to go.
...
Valkyrie nodded, before eating the final piece of sushi from her plate. She pushed it aside and sat back. One of her hand tattoos flashed briefly before being covered by her jacket sleeve again. A pirate insignia.
Yuga looked into Taylors room and saw her doing push-ups. She looked back to Frosty "By methods of deduction you are a pilot, correct? Perhaps you'd like to come and see the bridge, in case we require your skills someday?"
...
Markus noticed as part of a tattoo briefly showed on her arm. Quite suspicious if she was going out of her way to conceal it.
Markus rolled up his sleeve to show the Dagger marauders tattoo that was located on the underside of his lower arm. He looked up at Valkyrie.
"Come one, luv. How's about a little show and tell? Betcha a sheila like you 'ave played "show you ours and I'll show you mine"."
Valkyrie breathed a sigh, then slowly removed her jacket. She had been wearing a grayish muscle shirt beneath it, which revealed most of her upper chest and arms. Tattoos covered nearly all of her arms, and most of upper chest, stretching up onto her neck. Multiple pirate insignia adorned her skin, in various places, along with various designs to compliment them. Some were obscure, while others were VERY recognizable.
"Like I said, I returned to the family business. That business happens to be piracy." she said, with a faint smile. "Most recent ones would be the Xenthar Raiders on my shoulder, Blood Eagle on my back, and Hadley's Crew on my thigh."
Markus inspected the tattoos. It was like looking at a CV. Most were unknown to him, but some were very recognizable, like Kromm Armada, Blackstar and Hellion.
"There are people out there who'd love to slice 'em off and put 'em on a wall, ya know that?"
He turned to Maddox, "What about you grease monkey? Got any ink? Or did the dress code preven ya' from gettin' any?
"There are people out there who'd love to slice 'em off and put 'em on a wall, ya know that?"
"Oh, I know." she said, slipping her jacket back on and running her hand through her hair. "They're having a hard time doing it." she added with a grin.
Yuga looked into Taylors room and saw her doing push-ups. She looked back to Frosty "By methods of deduction you are a pilot, correct? Perhaps you'd like to come and see the bridge, in case we require your skills someday?"
"I'd be honored to! Though I must say, I only remember flying smaller craft. I don't remember piloting a vessel of this size before." warned Frosty as he walked towards the bridge.
"Also, how are you even speaking without a mouth?"

"My race communicates with telepathy, what you are refering to as my voice is only perceived inside your head."
They entered the bridge and walked down to the holomap. Yuga turned around to face Frosty.
"Fear not, we have two designated pilots onboard and you will only be brought in if absolutely necessary."
"Fear not, we have two designated pilots onboard and you will only be brought in if absolutely necessary."
"Who might they be?" Frosty asked as he looked and inspected everything in the bridge.
"Also, I have a suggestion for my Voidwalker and I's use since the two positions on this vessel are filled. Perhaps I can act as an escort of sorts? My craft has afterburners on it, and a hefty armament. So aerial support is another possibility."
[Sorry I haven't taken an action in a few pages. Classes picked up a bit.]
Bucky takes the fuel rods back to Engineering and sets them in secure storage near the electron matrix feed-points. She inspects the rods carefully after donning a hazardous environment suit, and prepares them for insertion into the subsidiary fission reactors. With the rods prepared she can swap them out quicker then the time comes.
After that, Bucky goes through the decon showers and checks her to-do list. First item on the list is to improve the main fuel valve systems on the RCS thruster manifolds all over the ship. But since the whole RCS system is currently in use, she puts that job on hold.
Bucky consults her list again, scanning it for any interesting items which might help pass the time. Fourth item down the list is to get sidearm training, so she goes with that. She wonders if Janos could help her with that, so she calls him over personal comm.
"Hey, John. You doing anything? I was wondering if you could train me a little bit on how to use a pistol. Been meaning to learn for a while."
Yuga check who was at the bridge at the moment, but neither Owen nor Neasha were present.
"We have a Serek and a human as our pilots, Neasha and Owen respectively. As for the use of your craft, you'll have to speak with our Contractor or our engineers, as a navigator I'm not at liberty to make any promises in that regard".
"Impressive." Said Maddox as his odd company started showing their tattoos. "I'd love to show you mine but as you may have noticed I'm wearing a set of heavy armor."
"But I do have some 'ink'." He nodded towards Valkyrie. "Although not as much as her."

"I see. I'll be sure to do that when I meet them. Still, thank you for showing me the bridge, Miss... um..."
Janós had finally entered the cargo bay with the fully-intact mining lasers in tow. But before he could even think about where to bring them, he received a message from Bucky.
"I just arrived back onto the ship with the lasers I got. I'd be happy to show you some of the basics of pistol usage, but I have to drop these lasers off first," he replied. "Where should I drop them off?"
"Yuga, of house Shuur. Former merchant captain on the HMSS Yukaya in the ITC fleet."
She took of her hat and swept her hair back.
"That is all you need to know for now".

"Main bay will work. Just set them down by the mechanical supplies we keep in there. I'll deal with them later." Bucky sends her message to John and walks out of engineering after doing some checks and diagnostics on the main drives and their auxiliaries. She heads down to the mess hall to get something to get a drink.
Jag exited it's room after sending over hour in deep thought. Seeing both the Frozen one and Ayr left towards the bridge.
Jag decided to leave towards the Armory to prepare for it's imminent mission on Prospera.
"Very well then, Yuga."
Frosty then walked back to the hallway where the entrance to his Voidwalker was. He leaned on the wall and waited to see if anyone would come by.
Janós went over to the mechanical supplies that are kept in the main bay and gently put the lasers down next to them. With his work done, he left the bay.
"Aaaand 200." said Taylor, dropping down from her hand stand, and resting. Well, that's enough exercising for the day. She headed into the bathroom and got cleaned up, before changing into fresh clothes. Time for a drink! She departed her room, heading down to the bar in the Mess Hall.

Valkyrie nodded along. Probably little tats about his unit or a battle or two. A common thing with former SDF. She sat back in the chair, and slipped her hands into her pockets.
"RPG!"
Several soldiers hit the dirt as a smooth white rocket came streaking accross the sky, passing over several lines of armored military fortifications before finally crashing down into a SDF Guardian tank, knocking out one of its forwrad hoverpods which caused the weight of the tank to force it down, digging up a small pile of dirt as it continued to move forward untill the driver halted the vehicle.
The soldiers manning the defenses resumed their firing as enemies clad in white and golden armor slowly approached; they were crusaders and knights of the Divinity Creed while the defending side were mixed SDF marines and SDF auxiliaries from the SDF Novithus Auxiliary Corps.
Despite not being as heavily armored or as well-equipped the auxiliary forces no doubt fought hard as their entire world was on stake.
Three days had now since passed after the Creed's 7th Crusader Fleet had arrived at Novithus, landing in the city of Hoxith which was composed mainly of supersized storages for food, equipment and other supplies crucial for the novithians.
A mysterious shield dome had quickly been erected before the novithian government had been able to respond as several smaller forces of crusaders had begun their "cleansing" all over the beautiful farmworld.
Luckily vessels from the Sol System Navy had just entered the system and were quick to land several smaller forces of marines to buy the rest of the SDF some time. A day later the 5th SDF Protector Fleet had arrived, thirty ships strong. While they had been unable to destroy the landed crusader fleet, they were able to deploy more boots to the ground while also isolating and taking out smaller forces from the Divinity Creed.
Now the SDF had encircled and dug in around the city of Hoxith with fifty miles of open space between the SDF and the Divinity Creed forces.
A Creed crusader rose up with a rocket launcher on his shoulder, grinning under his helmet. "Die traitors!" He was about to pull the trigger when a well-placed kinetic shot entered the barrel of the launcher, causing the rocket to explode next to his face and thus vaporizing a smaller team of crusaders taking cover behind some debris.
"Nice shot, L-T!" Yelled a marine who had been taken by surprise.
Warren smiled. "Thanks trooper, it's a good thing for us they're as crazy as they are careless."
"Hoorah."
Lieutenant James Warren backed down from the middlemost defensive line and back into the armored trench complete with internal radio, sensor system, floodlights and even smaller walled off areas containing field beds and toilets inacse of a prolonged siege.
He made sure his people, the men and women of the SSMC, were good despite the situation. He passed out spare magazines, medkits and even did some pats on the back if a soldier needed it.
Warren was a soldier at heart and had served with the SDF for years, having made a impressive career despite his young age.
Right now he was inspecting his troops. Raising their morale. Why? Because he knew that soon they would have to push and that meant that alot of these good men and women would die.
A loud signal could be heard echoing from the Creed side.
"They're charging!" Yelled a marine at the top of his lungs.
Warren sighed. So much for that calm. He took position next to a sergeant and a machinegunner. "Look, sir." Said the sergeant pointing out towards the field.
And Warren looked.
Several dozens, if not a hundred, of tanks painted in white and gold had formed up along the Creed's line. A knight sticking up at the top turret of the center most tank waved his flamethrower around like a madman while laughing.
The tanks begun their approach.
"All units, open fire!" Yelled Warren.
Soldiers, tanks, mounted weapons; everything opened fire. To no avail. While some tanks did explode the main force was relatively unharmed.
Before Warren could bark out another order the open comms channel came alive.
"Did someone say Boome?"
The sound of VTOL and ship engines suddenly filled the air as several squadrons of SDF Marauders appeared seemingly out of nowhere and began tearing the armored Creed force apart with rockets and armor piercing shots. They were followed closely by three large dropships, possibly retrofitted civilians designs, painted with the logo of the Boome Marines.
As the gunships cleaned up the SDF soldiers cheered on as the sight of the no doubt impressive armored force was turned into a group of smoldering wrecks.
Warren doubled back to the main camp, headed to meet the dropships. As he arrived at the empty landing zone, several SDF marines joined him to watch as the dropships gently touched down.
Their front bay doors slowly deployed and revealed three groups of Boome Marines ready for combat alongside nine heavily armored APC's.
"Sure wasn't yesterday." Said Mercury as he stepped down to greet Warren.

Vakarus left his post and went to his room to meditate, as the past day had been quite eventful.
((Sorry about the delay. I went to be early last night and went to a doctor's appointment this morning.))
Yanim emerged from her quarters, having changed out of her pressure suit and back into her regular wardrobe. She stepped into the bridge and took a seat. "Yuga," she commanded, "activate the current navigation schedule. With the ship on autopilot, doing so should take us to warp. Rask, what's the status on that human we recovered?"
"Ugly as hell. You just missed him," Rask joked. "But nah, really, he was just on the bridge and there's definitely something strange about him."
"Why was he on the bridge? He's not a crewmember," Yanim replied, angrily.
"Yuga was just giving him a peek. The man's a pilot of some sorts and he wanted to speak to you about providing us some escort coverage."
Yanim rubbed her forehead. "Yuga, tell me what you know about this character."
Yuga looked up from the holomap, which was now showing a focused image of Prospera.
With a simple activation on the console she transfered the plotted route to the ships map and computer.
"So far we have deduced that he was some kind of fighter pilot. For what cause or when remains yet to be determined as he appears to suffer from an acute case of amnesia."
She paused briefly, correcting one of the belts on the uniforms wrist.
"As is the situation, I have not been able to read his mind to find out anything more about him, other than the previously mentioned and the fact that he is not human. What his intentions are is a matter you should discuss with him separately."
Amelia walks back to her room and starts playing Pong v5: Expand Pong.
"As is the situation, I have not been able to read his mind to find out anything more about him, other than the previously mentioned and the fact that he is not human. What his intentions are is a matter you should discuss with him separately," Yuga said, unfazed by Yanim's disapproval. The ship rumbled as it accelerated to warp once again.
"He's not human at all, then?" Yanim echoed. "And you're telling me that you brought him into the control room of this ship without knowing about his past or his intentions. Ayr, that is shockingly unprofessional. Don't bring anyone in here that we don't know we can trust."
"That's a bit harsh, Boss," Rask commented, sheepishly.
"Don't," Yanim replied, sternly, "unless you've already forgotten what happened last April."
"I haven't," he replied, mysteriously. The bridge was tense and silent for a while.
January 11th, 2385:
It's just past midnight, and we'll be arriving at Prospera soon.
I can't wait to get away from Boss. I knew she'd have trouble adjusting to the new crew, but I haven't seen her this stressed in months. She brought up April, for fuck's sake- and if that's where her mind is at, then I'm not confident that any of this is gonna work out. I wasn't watching back then... there was so much going on that I made a poor decision and took my eyes off the prisoner. I had no idea he was still armed- I checked him twice before he even boarded the ship... I can tell Yanim all day long that, this time, I was ready and waiting for that freeze-dried cocksucker to make a move, but it doesn't matter. Boss can't even tie her shoes anymore without her implant controlling her spasms...
Maybe once she gets some kagakitazh she'll mellow out and forget about things for a while. I hear there's a booming drug scene on Prospera and right now a bit of fantasy might be just what she needs. I trust Boss more than anyone else in the galaxy, but if she can't start trusting the rest of us, despite everything that's gone on, then I think it would be better for everyone if she found herself a desk job somewhere, keh.
-Rask Vor'Pangn, First Lieutenant, Terika-Belladonna Company
The ship dropped out of warp as it neared an orphaned, dwarf planet. There was no star here or gas giant which governed the movement of Prospera; it was a solitary rock floating through the cosmos. Decades ago, entrepreneurs discovered it and its breathable atmosphere, a miracle owed to its dense core. Its ionosphere was weak, but without a solar body to strip away at it, and without a chance of it encountering a star within the millennium, the stage was set for development on an eternally darkened planet. Even from this distance, the glamor of the resort it had become was apparent. It glowed in a dozen neon hues at every angle, drawing in the awestruck tourists of an entire galaxy.
Down below, every city on the Pluto-sized world was a bastion of gambling, show business, sports and excess. The city lights were blinding, pornography graced the billboards which covered every open surface. Even further below were the naïve schmucks whose loose money kept the machine well oiled and profitable, and the hopeless washouts still searching for one more buzz, one more fuck, one more throw of the bones- too poor to care for themselves and too weak to care about anything else. People disappeared in the endless night here. They welcomed it; for them, what had been real before Prospera was nothing more than a passing dream. This was how humans did entertainment. It was brilliant, uncompromising vice. It was grotesque and horrifying. It was one of a kind; nothing could rival it in the universe.
The Muramasa plunged in like a rock dropped into a well.
A voice came over the comm: "Attention, everyone," Yanim spoke, "we're about to land at Port Lansky. Once we disembark, you're free to explore the planet as you wish, but at ten-hundred on January 13th, I expect you to be present at the Grand Prix. We've reserved a private viewing box."
Yuga viewed the planet approach through the observation ports of the bridge.
This resort was something Yuga could get behind. Endless possibilities for profit and loose regulations.
All though she felt that rules sometimes could be turned into her favor and hinder competitors, this setup was utterly fascinating to her.
She had mauled over Yanims opinions and turned to her contractor.
"I suggest you reserve your judgement as to what professionalism is. After having to rescue you we can say that this makes us even, no? Or perhaps it is time to take a deeper look into Ms Terikas experiences to determine who much her judgement is worth?" she communed to her in a wide stance with one hand hanging and the other resting on the hilt of her blade in its scabbard.
