Alex was punching the punching bag when Kras's guy send him the intel they had gathered. It was nothing useful. Great. He send a quick message to Kras.
Your boy didn't deliver. All the information he send me was things everyone already knew.
He left his room and headed to the cargo bay. There was usually enough room down there to run. Enough to finish the workout. Once there, it took him a while to recognize Taylor in her new suit. "That looks new."
Once there, it took him a while to recognize Taylor in her new suit. "That looks new."
She turned her attention to Alex. "Yeah. Brand new. Isn't even painted or calibrated yet." she said, moving and flexing her arms and legs. She did a few small hops, then looked over at the Autoshotgun sitting on top of one of the crates nearby. Big, black, and weighing in at 85 pounds, it was a behemoth to wield. She reached over and picked it up, struggling a tad as it slid off the crate. She hadn't activated her exoskeleton inside the armor yet, so this was all her holding it up. If the exoskeleton WERE on, it would've felt like lifting a few pounds of sugar. "This bad boy is brand new too." she said, holding the large weapon up. She held it like one would hold a minigun or larger weapon, one hand on a handle attached up on the top of the weapon and one holding the actual grip on the rear where the trigger was. "Mark VIII Autoshotgun. Rapid fire, plasma shells, drum magazines, internal cooling system...and a hair trigger, I've noticed."
Ahaz looks at Taylor. "Compensating for something?"
Ahaz looks at Taylor. "Compensating for something?"
Valkyrie laughed loudly behind them. Taylor cut him a look, though you couldn't see it because of the helmet.
(( Chill, man. If you want some suggestions for your guy, I got some if you're willing to take any. I mean we kinda need someone for security since our last security person got ban't. )) [editline]10th March 2016[/editline] (( wait shit i forgot we already got someone to fill in that gap. ))
((I don't know, maybe i shouldn't join))
Alex chuckled. "That was on point. I'll give you that one. Any news from the boss or leads about our mystery racer?"
Ahaz leans against a crate. "Are there any weapons for me?"
Shaking off the last few bits of metal, Sledge stood up and stretched, sending sickening cracking noises resonating through the bar as each of his joints popped.
"You mind explaining what happened before all this?" Abrax asked, while healing up any injured around him.
"Is this really the best time?" Sledge asked rhetorically, motioning to the destruction around him. "I mean... is it?" he asked sincerely. He really wasn't sure.
"Yes."
Alex chuckled. "That was on point. I'll give you that one. Any news from the boss or leads about our mystery racer?"
Valkyrie spoke up. "Nothin' from the boss. I've got an idea about who the racer could be, but I'm gonna do some more snooping around first."
Ahaz leans against a crate. "Are there any weapons for me?"
"Could check with Mad over there" said Taylor, pointing at the other end of the Cargo Bay. "If he doesn't have one for you, I could buy you one. I'd be more than happy to. You too, Alex."
Amelia slurps up some soup she just bought while she waits at a taxi shuttle station. (( Sorry I haven't been active in here, I haven't had a lot of time to post Porter's introduction due to school work. It will be posted tonight though so I can get back in the fun ))
Owen looked at Yanim. "Ok, got a question for ya, how do you know the former statue? Seems a bit odd to me" Owen then glanced over at Sledge.
Nothin' from the boss. I've got an idea about who the racer could be, but I'm gonna do some more snooping around first.
"Judging by how you look, you probably know your shit around grease-balls that hang around here. Though I would advice taking our interrogation guy with you. I'm sure he'd be happy to help."
If he doesn't have one for you, I could buy you one. I'd be more than happy to. You too, Alex.
"Nah, I'm just the cook. Never had firearms training. Besides I have these guns right here." The last part he said jokingly while flexing. "God, that sounded way more cheesy than it should have."
Ahaz smirked. "This your first time out of the kitchen?" He turns to Taylor, "If you'd get me a pistol, I'd pay you back in free drinks for the next few weeks."
"Judging by how you look, you probably know your shit around grease-balls that hang around here. Though I would advice taking our interrogation guy with you. I'm sure he'd be happy to help."
Valkyrie smirked. "I'll take that as a compliment. Anyway, where's this interrogation guy? Probably gonna need some skulls cracked."
"Nah, I'm just the cook. Never had firearms training. Besides I have these guns right here." The last part he said jokingly while flexing. "God, that sounded way more cheesy than it should have."
Taylor pulled off her helmet and smiled, before slipping off the right arm of her suit. She flexed that arm, showing off her own muscle. "Its good to pack both kinds of guns."
"If you'd get me a pistol, I'd pay you back in free drinks for the next few weeks."
"Sounds good. Any specifics you want? Burst Fire? Semi-Auto? Revolver? Ballistic, Kinetic, Laser, Plasma..."
Ahaz shrugs. "Buy what you think is best for me, I don't know guns. I gotta get going, I have some drinks to buy. Chef, you might want to come along too. They have good cooking alcohol here."
This your first time out of the kitchen?
"Is this the first time out of your cave?"
I'll take that as a compliment. Anyway, where's this interrogation guy? Probably gonna need some skulls cracked.
"You can find him on our secure channels. His name is Janos I believe."
Chef, you might want to come along too. They have good cooking alcohol here.
"Well, I need to buy supplies anyway. Go ahead. Lead the way."
János was passing by when he heard the word "interrogation". He went to see what was going on.
Frosty decided it was time to test out the engines and loudspeaker function on his starfighter. He informed the crew he was gonna go on a test flight, and to do some recon around the race track if possible. He buzzed Yanim, asking her if he could do this.
Yuga entered the door to the cargo hold. "If you gunslingers plan on gathering information on the mafias racer, maybe I can be of assistance?"
Once Yanim and Rask had stripped away enough metal to yank Sledge free of the display, they caught their breath and motioned for Owen and Abraxas to run with them, as they couldn't stay for long. "Come on," Yanim said, "I'll explain on the way." As they made their way towards the open doors, Sledge paused briefly and fished a large hammer out of the umbrella rack, where he had left it months prior. Rask also stopped, remembering Sledge's request, and grabbed a bottle of spiced rum from behind the bar. "Here," he said, giving it to the giant. "To drown out the taste." The group emerged into the hallway and turned toward the elevators. "Sledge and I were crewmates on the Archius mission," Yanim recounted, "he was a security officer we hired from Rigel. Very strong... Last I heard, he served on the ship during Zeruel." "Keh, that means HarkArk paid him, too, right?" Rask asked. "I remember this fella, he and dwarf tied me to a chair, once." Owen and Abraxas looked confused as the group piled into an elevator car. "Back when I worked for the SS, I was part of a mission that investigated the Archius. We had the whole crew taken prisoner before the whole thing went haywire. Sledge and another one were supposed to be under my watch, but they killed my team and took me prisoner instead. "When the ship took off, I was one of only two still onboard. That's when the Boss introduced herself to me. But anyway, you've got to be loaded, right, big guy?" [editline]11th March 2016[/editline] At that moment, Yanim received a message from Frosty requesting permission to test his fighter. She couldn't care less at the moment, and sent a reply in the affirmative.
And just like that, we have liftoff! Frosty detached his Voidwalker from the access hatch and flew like a bird over the shining neon streets of Prospera. The engines worked marvelously and the anti-gravity module was functioning as it should. He hovered in place from time to time just to soak in the bright lights of this big city. He was banking and twirling and turning through the air like a leaf blowing in the wind. And then, it was time for the loudspeakers. He flipped a switch and pressed a button: Frosty was very content.
"You can find him on our secure channels. His name is Janos I believe."
"János, eh? Knew a guy once named that. A SDF Marine blew him in half with a primetex grenade." Valkyrie looked around to see two people approach. Another man, and a blue woman. She looked at the man, first, studying him and watching how he carried himself. He's not human. "I'm guessing you're János? Didn't think you'd be an android. Anyway, up for coming with me and getting some information?" she asked, turning to face him and folding her arms. She then looked to the other woman that had approached. Yuga, she had heard them call her.
"If you gunslingers pöan on gathering information on the mafias racer, maybe I can be of assistance?"
"Sure. Yuga, right?" replied Valkyrie, shrugging a bit.
Yuga looked at Valkyrie, "That is correct." Sge turned to Janos and took out her compass to activate tge translator. "You have a history within interogation? With my abilities I have no doubt we'll make an excellent team."
"I'm guessing you're János? Didn't think you'd be an android. Anyway, up for coming with me and getting some information?"
János made an audible hm as he thought about her proposition. "Well, I'm not doing anything else at the moment," he stated.
"You have a history within interrogation? With my abilities I have no doubt we'll make an excellent team."
He turned to Yuga. "As far as I know, at least," he shrugged. "We'll see over that team thing. Hopefully, you're correct," he said, as he turned back to Valkyrie. "I'll join you."
"I'll join you."
"Good!" said Valkyrie, smiling. "I'd do the interrogations myself, but I'm a bit short and not as strong as you. I'm not as...imposing without a gun or my mechs."
"Good!" said Valkyrie, smiling. "I'd do the interrogations myself, but I'm a bit short and not as strong as you two. I'm not as...imposing without a gun or my mechs."
((Keep in mind that Yuga is 168 cm and pretty scrawny.))
*faint AIN'T THAT A KICK IN THE HEAAAAAD in the distance*

“Wait, I’ve heard the name ‘Archius’ before…” Owen said … “Congratulations on your tenth and last win with us” Rick said. “Thank you, Mr. Hendr-wait, what are you talking about?” Owen said as Rick’s words actually stuck to him. “Yeah, we’ve been talking it over and we’ve found someone more suited to us as a driver.” Owen couldn’t believe it, in the midst of his glory, his boss had the nerve to announce that the race was his last. Rick continued, “I think you may remember him, never really got a career to stick with racing, but it seems he made something of himself and I think this may be the place for him to try again.” “Hey Owen” a voice suddenly said. Owen turned around and couldn’t believe who it was. Owen recognized that voice. “Jeb, what the heck are you doing in victory lane? Are you here to congratulate me or something? Seems very…” Owen’s voice trailed off as realization hit him. “Oh for the love of…YOU’RE my replacement?!?!” “Sorry, Owen” Jeb responded. “I applied with Hendrick after serving on the Archius. Said they had a spot for a new hero like myself, didn’t know it was costing you your spot, though.” Jeb continued, “Although, they did tell me that you were on the chopping block anyway, for getting a little too wreck happy, I’m afraid.” Owen started to protest but Jeb cut him off. “Don’t try to argue now; this change is pretty much set in stone. If I were you, I’d head over to the moon and see if that moonshine operation we had is still functional.” Owen wasn’t sure if what Jeb said next was a jab at Owen or just joy on Jeb’s part. “You ought to be happy that this ‘son of the south’ is coming out of retirement. As much as he wanted to, he couldn’t argue with his uncle’s logic. That said, Owen was now furious at Jeb as well as Rick. Owen left victory lane as the whole conversation took place off camera, and Owen wanted to ensure that it stayed that way for the time being. … “…so tell me, do you guys remember a Jeb Jackson on your crew?” Owen asked.
