"Greetings, freelancer Taylor."
"Welcome back, Jag." said Taylor, flashing him a smile. "Did you get everything sorted out alright?"
((Authors note: I hope I'm not actually taking the piss out of someone because I'm having a marvelous time writing this character.))
(( It's all good. The fact your character just basically went "fuck your feelings i do what i want" in the most formal manner is amazing. ))
(( turns out that class was cancelled. back to rp )) After Porter sets down his belongings, hanging some extra suits, and unpacking repair equipment just in case any part of his cybernetic self goes haywire. He walks out of his room and proceeds to walk down to the bridge. Before he gets there, Amelia dashes past him, and barges into the bridge like Kramer from Seinfeld. "Hey, hey, hey, I heard there were teams and plans so where do I fit in?" she takes a sip of her hot chocolate. Porter enters after she finishes her sentence.
Jag quickly shifts away from the door as another soft-carbon rush in from the door. Nearly knocking into an nearby terminal within bridge.
"Wow I didn't know I had to be a professor in Sociology to teach basic communication skills. I guess we really do live in a shitty uncivilized Galaxy. My point being that treating people like shit and tools isn't going to give you respect. You might need it one day."
"Hey now," Rask interrupted. "Yuga may have a pole up 'er ass, but that's no reason to gang up an' spoil a good thing, now. She's done a good job so far an' that's more than I can say for some of ya freeloaders," he said, only half-jokingly.
Porter stands by the doorway, taking in the lovely conversation unfold before him.
Sledge had silently excused himself to unscramble his arms, take a few showers, and eat some citrus to stave off the scurvy. With the feeling returned to his face, he noticed a message on his communicator:
Need dietary preferences and food allergies. If I don't get them by the next meal, you're on your own when Dr. Gasmask is taking care of your food poisoning.
Sledge didn't have any food allergies, but took this as an opportunity to customize his diet a bit.
Mexican food for me. No soy, please. --Sledge
He paused before sending it. He wasn't allergic to soy, he just really didn't like it. Still though, he didn't want any further questions. Someone might think he's a picky eater. He erased the second half of the message and rewrote it.
Mexican food for me. Soy gives me the shits. --Sledge
Sent. Walking out to the main hall he spotted what looked like a punk rock Kanad standing next to some sort of bimbo. More new people. Sledge needed to play it cool. "Uueh? Who are you, new girls?" he asked, jutting his pointer finger in their direction. "NEAT."
Ahaz staggers into the ship's bridge.
Yuga actually flinched slightly as Amelia slid in like rocket sled infront of Porter and asked about the plans. She corrected her hat and walked over to Abraxas, "In that regard you are correct. But I'm afraid that your culture and mine have two distinctly different perceptions of what respect is." she conveyed to Abraxas in a low voice. Yuga heard Rasks quip and looked around at the various crew members who were now looking at everyone else. She nodded slightly towards Rask, at least someone had been paying attention. [editline]17th March 2016[/editline] ((Oh bathacker, how I've missed sledge and his antics. Glad to have you back onboard 👌))
"I guess you're gonna have to learn it the hard way eventually. That's fine, I've dealt with it too." Abraxas shrugged, a tone representing no hard feelings deep down, even if he was an asshole.
"This deal should be clearly beneficial for the both of us, assuming you have something of worth to give us for it."
"Well, how does a set of high-powered mining lasers and a set of uranium fuel rods sound?" asks Valkyrie. She had seen the stuff the Muramasa had gathered while she was in the Cargo Hold. She took off her jacket and tied it around her waist, so that her tattoos were clearly visible. Mainly the Kromm Armada one on her forearm. "Yes, it might not seem like much, but I was hoping you could cut a friend a bit of a deal. I'll throw in a few thousand credits to make up for it, as well as for some additional things. A combat mech or two and some parts if you have any." ... Taylor looked over at Sledge. "Its me. Taylor. We're in disguise." she said, looking at Yanim then back up at Sledge.
"Well, now that that's settled, I'm inclined to tell everyone who doesn't work on the bridge to stop loafin' around and find something to do already. Time is money, keh." --- Yanim shook her head. "Did you miss the part where I said I was going to disguise myself?" Sledge seemed confused. "It's me, Sledge." Yanim un-darkened the lenses of her mask. Sledge smiled, blinked a few times, but said nothing. Yanim sighed and simply walked past him. "Its me. Taylor. We're in disguise." Sledge breathed a sigh of relief. "That was close," he said to Taylor. "What was up with her?" he asked as he pointed derisively over his shoulder. "Sledge, that was the Boss," Taylor clarified. "Whaaat? No, Yanim's taller," Sledge said as he moved on.
"Frosty over there needed a potion anyway. I'll be in my nerd cave." He excused himself, walking out.
After a few more explanation attempts, Sledge finally understood what was going on. His next move was clear. "I want to wear a disguise! Let me come on the sneaking mission with you," he pleaded with Taylor.
Amelia spits out her drink, "Disguise?" she runs towards Taylor, "Oh, oh, oh, can I come along too?" her eyes sparkle with excitement.
Sledge and Amelia chanted in unison. "Please oh please oh please oh please oh...!"
Taylor was surprised by just how much they wanted to do this! "You should check with Yanim, Sledge. Or Rask. As for you Amelia...you really...don't have a reason to wear a disguise. None of the mob know who you are or if you're with us. I can't stop you from dressing up, though."
Hiesh stroked her whiskers, her tail waving slightly as Valkyrie proposed their deal. "I think this can be arranged." she replied with a satisfied tone. She turned her attention to a human who was sat welding something a few meters away. "McGail, we still have that have that Ymir suit?" The human looked up without lifting his welding mask. "It's back in its container, full original, ID-numbers removed and all that." Heish was satisfied with the answer and turned her attention back to valkyrie and her gang. "All right, sister. That YMIR suit is the best I can do. We got orders from the quartermaster what sort of equipment we can sell. And as for that discount... Let's just say we don't exactly give those tattoos out for free." Heish said with a wink. She turned around and instructed the Namur guards to prepare the vehicle and the mech suit for transport. "As soon as we get the agreed upon payment we'll have these delivered to your ship within an hour. And only in that order, hun. Kromm takes, Kromm gives." Hiesh blew a kiss toward Valkyrie and began walking towards a door on the other side of the hangar.
"You should check with Yanim, Sledge."
"YES!" Sledge ran after Yanim. "Yanimmm!" he yelled as he caught up to her, "Taylor said I could go on the sneaking mission! I'm gonna get my disguise!" He spun around ran back to his quarters before Yanim could get a word in edgewise.
As for you Amelia...you really...don't have a reason to wear a disguise. None of the mob know who you are or if you're with us. I can't stop you from dressing up, though.
"SO THAT'S A YES!" she dashes off towards her room, noise of bangs come from the room as she changes into a disguise she made for this trip just in case.
Ahaz bumps into Amelia on the way back to his room. He's visibly exhausted but smiles at her. "Looking for another hot chocolate?"
While Amelia was running towards her room, she lifted two middle fingers at Ahaz, smiled, and said "Fuck you," as she entered her room.
Yuga observed as the two humans ran around. Mrs Weinhearts energy was only natural for a human her size. However, what intrigued her the most is how a man of Mr Hammers size can possess equal amount of energy. It wouldn't surprise her if someone had tried to kidnap him at some point to dissect him and shed light on this mystery.
Valkyrie turned back to the others. "Well, lets go tell Rask and the others to prep the mining lasers and uranium for transport." she said, with a smile. She put her jacket back on, and started to walk back towards the exit. The YMIR suit would come in handy till she could build some automated drones to do things. ... Taylor sighed and shook her head. They're like kids! She straightened up, then decided to head out to a bar. She needed a drink.
Ahaz sighs and drags himself to his room. There, he collapses on his bed and falls asleep
((Gonna hit the sack, thanks everybody for todays session and keep up thw good work.))
As Jag slowly moves over back towards it's previous position at the doorway, it takes note of what is presumably one of the new freelancers aboard the Muramasa. Finding that most of original biological form has been augmented and replaced with that of extensive mechanical cybernetics through it's Sanghvi eyes, able to find what is still organic and what is now metal in time. It's implant also observing the equipment on him, most of it was fairly standard for field and combat duty. Nevertheless, Jag resumed it's spot next to this new crew member. Leaning it's body on the wall to met his eye level. "You seemed to be quite well prepared soft-carbon, you one of the new freelancer joining us?" Jag asked, tiling it's sightly head to side as it looked over it's shoulder towards it's new comrade.
Porter looks at the strange tentacle monster, noticing all it's strengths and weaknesses like he has been trained to do for over 20 years. "Indeed. The names Porter. I'm a friend of Amelia. I've been in the SDF for a long time, so being prepared is a force of habit. You're quite a strange one, with all those... tentacles." he checks out Jag, from top to bottom, "It's pretty cool, hahah." he chuckles.
Sledge emerged from his quarters only moments later. Or did he? Who is that muscular man with the mustache? He's certainly sporting a large hammer and most of Sledge's clothing. Faithful viewers, I fear the worst for our brave hero. Did this mustachioed mystery man murder Sledge in cold blood, don his clothes and severed face, and seamlessly infiltrate the rest of the crew? The answer is almost certainly yes.
