Alex walked to the door. He stopped in front of it. He wasn't sure if he wanted to go through that door. But he was already there and he might as well. He grabbed the door handle and opened the door.
As the door opened up, Alex looked into dimly lit and empty room with a large window on the other side. A lone figure with a cloak looked out the window.
"Ok, you're too tall to be my sister, so there goes your surprise. Turn around."
As the figure turned around, the hood was retracted, revealing a black helmet with a tinted visor.
The cloak which only strectched to the waist on the front was opened at the center, black armor with various pouches and items were visible alongside a pistol holster.
"Greetings, Mr. Korunov."
Before Alex could say anything the door was opened up behind him as several similarily clad figures rushed in with their weapons ready.
"SDF! Hands where I can see them!"
Alex raised his hands. After a second he switched his open palms to a very rude, but a traditional human gesture. "Y'know. Right next to the Creed, you fucks are the last people I want to see. It's about my father isn't it?"
"Check him." Said the leader figure. Two of the soldiers quickly frisked Alex and nodded. "He's green."
The squad leader nodded which made all of the soldiers stand down.
"Sorry for the show Mr. Korunov, it can't hurt to be too careful." He removed his helmet, showing a scarred man with a trimmed beard. His skin had a slightly darker tone, the leathery nature of it suggested he was from Mars.
"You can call me Xerxes, it's not my real name however it'll have to make due."
He nodded towards his men. "As for your question, the answer is yes. Your father is currently leading a assault force on Novithus. Seeing as the world is close to Sol space, we're currently taking precautions to ensure the safety of you and your sister as both of you have, despite your father's status, inherited Sol citizenship. We want to make sure he doesn't try to abduct any of you while this far into Sol territory."
Xerxes took a quick glance on his watch before turning to one of his men. "Timetable?"
"Fifty, sharp."
Porter walks into the bar and sits down at a stool, arms crossed. He waits for service...
"My sister is currently finishing her doctorate on Earth under a different name. I am traveling with a crew of mercenaries, bums and weirdos. He may think he can get to us, but he was too blindsided by his fanaticism to do anything to us. Until now. You left a trail leading right towards us.
And Sol citizenship? When was that when I escaped from the camp? When was that when I made sure my sister escaped the same camp 3 years later? The only reason she has any education is because I spend 6 years of my life fighting for money in a pit on Duroma, because no one would hire a son of a zealot. No one but aliens and mercenaries. Right, you like to fight the good fight only when it's convenient for you or when they come knocking on your door. But for me, my sister and the rest of fringe worlds its 'you're on your own'. Save me your bullshit."
"I can't speak for any of that, sir. I'm just doing my job. What I told you is what the higher-ups have told me."
He looked around.
"There is no trail, my men and I don't officially exist and you can't follow what doesn't exist. However, you should know we have intel suggesting that the Creed have sent a unit to take you back."
"Untill they're gone, we're staying."
"Sure you can stay. Just stay far away. For my and my sister's safety and your own. Conduct your business away from this crew. It's not a threat, it's a warning." He turned his back to Xerxes and started to leave the room, pushing through the grunts.
"Ten-four." Said Xerxes as Alex walked out. He sighed and put on his helmet. "Tail him"
Valkyrie and the others arrived back at the Muramasa after a bit of a walk, then boarded and located Rask. "Managed to strike a deal for a racer and a combat mech, but gonna need to get the mining lasers and uranium rods ready for transport to the Kromm Armada freighter." said Valkyrie, as she walked up. "Figured that if we win the race, you'll get more than what you'd have got for selling that stuff off anyway." She looked back at Markus, Maddox, and Owen. Surprisingly it had went so much easier than she thought it would. Especially with Maddox following.
Maddox folded his visor. "I'll be in the armory." He passed by Taylor on the way. "Nice look, auxiliary." He said with his most charming smile.
"Let me know if your guns need any fixing or improving."
-----
Vakarus greeted Alex as he returned. "Greetings Kitchen Overlord, did everything go well?"
Alex returned to the ship as the others were coming back. He was mumbling something under his breath as he walked in.The words, creed, SDF, motherfuckers and a impressive range of insults, and slurs could be heard coming from him. He stopped when Vakarus greeted him "Someone should have been dead. Would have put me in a better mood."
"I see." Said Vakarus.
"Nice look, auxiliary." He said with his most charming smile.

"Thanks. Its only temporary, though. Anyway, I do have a heavy plasma autoshotgun and my revolver you can look at. I'll bring them down to you." said Taylor, turning to face him. She decided to check her messages again while she was standing there, so she drew out her holo-tablet and switched it on. One message from Alex, about food allergies and such. She didn't have any to speak of, and she already told him she was into spicy food so eh.
No allergies to speak of. Already mentioned I love spicy food. Valkyrie is allergic to blue milk, and she likes those Asian style Terran dishes.

She figured that Valkyrie was going to delete the message anyway, thinking it was spam or something, so she told him for her.
Jag decided that it was wasting it's time within the bar as it saw nothing the local newscast on the holo scenes displaying an recent chain homicide involving many suspected mafia members, no survivors could be found at the scene. The murders we're all commented with an two large stabbing weapons, the police in the interview we're completely baffled.
An audible chuckle could be headed from Jag's implant as it picked itself up from the wall and headed towards the armory.
Frosty had been watching the strange man from the cockpit of his starfighter. He climbed down and went to Vakarus to ask him a question.
"Who was that strange man in the rags? Was he a friend?"
"Sounds good." Said Maddox as he went for the armory.
-----
"Asset located." Said one of the SSOID soldiers as he looked through his rifle scope. His cloak concealed him well in the shadows ontop of the support structure overlooking one of many docks to the starport.
Another soldier stealthily moved over. "Positive ID?"
"Copy, it's the Muramasa."
Frosty had been watching the strange man from the cockpit of his starfighter. He climbed down and went to Vakarus to ask him a question.
"Who was that strange man in the rags? Was he a friend?"
"He had a delivery."
"Oh, I see. I was worried that man might have been an assassin, or was carrying a bomb! I was on the edge of my seat, about to take off and vaporize that man. You can never be too sure in a place such as this."
As Jag entered the armory, it find that someone else had properly organized the armory with an project already in the works. The veteran Sanghvi took it's time to look over the fine work this member did, finding that it's employers had found the perfect freelancer up for the task.
Through very impressed, Jag was soon puzzled when it had found an bright red flag hanged on the armory wall.
The symbol was faintly familiar to the Sanghvi, it stood for moment to look it over. Trying to remember what this symbol was and where it saw it before in it's previous journeys across the galaxy.
Maddox stepped in and raised an eyebrow. "Hi there."
"It was for me, Frosty. What he brought to our doorstep made me wish it was spam mail. I should talk give Rask and Neasha a report. Excuse me." He left the two and entered the bridge. "Alright, I'm back from that lead. Bad news, the Creed has a search party looking for me and probably my sister. You know, like I told you. They have for the past ten years or so. Worse news. The SDF think they can play galactic police again and are probably tracking me."
Markus tapped Alex on the shoulder as he walked up behind him, "Sounds like you need to show them that they can't, or are ya afraid of the big blue bully?" he said with a slight chuckle.
"Hi there."
Jag raised it's head, pulling it's eyes off the flag and gently turned around to face the voice behind it.
"Greetings, fellow freelancer.", Jag answered, noticing that the soft-carbon was imminently an human and terrain in nature, SDF maybe due to both his ionic human thermal signature and his equipment.
Nevertheless Jag rose it's arm in the same vein of an common gesture known as the handshake.
"Freelancer Jag Perdituussss...." Jag said before recognizing the symbol on his shoulder pad.
Maddox shook the vein-tentcacle-thing cautiously. "Maddox Graves, at your service. Pleased to meet you Jag."
Frosty spoke to the group in the bridge.
"In that case, I have a plan. I'm going to circle the Muramasa in my vessel. I will keep an eye out for anyone who tries to get too close to us. I have my frequency written on the doors of the access panel in case you need to contact me. Though this worries me a little. The Divinity Creed and the SDF are coming for you, aren't they? They surely will interfere with our plan to sabotage the Mafia if we aren't careful."
Sounds like you need to show them that they can't, or are ya afraid of the big blue bully?
"It was one of those 'off the record' dickheads. Sounded like your regular boy scout too. You know the type. 'We're doing this for your own protection'. He said that they will go away when the Creed does. Which is never. If we're lucky they will meet in a bar and wipe each other out. "
The Divinity Creed and the SDF are coming for you, aren't they? They surely will interfere with our plan to sabotage the Mafia if we aren't careful.
"Creed will stay away. The person looking for me has been blowing smoke ever since I got away. And I already what I think of the SDF. If you want, you can still scan."
"Before I leave, however, what do these Divinity Creed and SDF people look like? In the events I am forced into combat, I want to make sure I am shooting at the right people."
Markus cracked his knuckles, "If they're so keen on bein off the records then ain't nobody gonna care if we put em in the dirt, roight?"
