Abraxas tilted his head. He gave him a first aid syringe to keep the wounds in check. "Serial number? Were you told to do something you weren't comfortable with?"
Jag understood Taylor, believing that she will able to survive this particular mission fine. Regardless of the outcome through it didn't know that she or the Captain for that matter would be able to deal with an significant loss, so far luck has been good for them but like most things, it was variable. Nevertheless, Jag entered the armory to find a new individual within it's confines. "Ah, the records told me that we had an new Freelancer." Jag said while fixing it's posture. "I I'm Freelancer Jag Perditus, it's an honor to met you miss?" Jag stated with a sense of grace towards it's new comrade. --- The man let out a relax breath after the syringe started to take effect before answering the question. "Uh, No...It was the number I was given after birth...Your given a number after your born right? Like all registered products part of an line?" He stated, even more confused then before.
Abraxas was interested after this discovery. This man was probably raised as some sort of soldier. He looked at the gas mask while connecting the serial number. "Do these names ring a bell? Argos? The Elysium Combine?"
"What?...No, no, I don't much about them myself. All I know is that they have been pushing us hard in the trade sectors, management going nuts over them...I think? But wait, wait. What do you want with me anyways?" He shuttered his words for moment before looking at him.
"All I ask of you is why you're here in the first place in Prospera. A crewmate named Jag has captured you here for whatever reason. I need to know why before I can help you further, 33.93."
"Uh, yeah...I, hmm, Management needed an member of Asset Protection down on Prospera for the big race, a lot of the racers participating are sponsored or something. I guess do what they tell me. But anyways, I was part of the reserve crew for the investigators. And that, uh 'Jag' is big criminal or any others like it so they had the word to take care of that thing and any other criminals so nothing bad happens during the race. "So in the past few days we searched high and low for anything till one of our business partner tip us off to a potential gang's whereabouts so we followed them up and set up shop on the rooftops for us clean up the mess. I manage to set up an rifle for overwatch duty before.." 33.93 explain before he begin to stumble on his words, looking down at his feet and the surroundings. "Before I guess it got me.....Anything else you want Sir?" He asked.
Hey, Al. Wow, you got fucked up
"You should see the other guy." Alex said jokingly. Although the mafioso probably wont be able to use that arm ever again. "I'm used to it anyway. Probably had as many injuries like this as you have tattoos." ---
I'm Freelancer Jag Perditus, it's an honor to met you miss?
Amy hesitated for a few seconds. This was the first time seeing a Sanghvi up close, never mind talking to one. "Amy Koronova. Pleasure to meet you too Jag. I just joined. Wow, ok, did not expect this crew to be so diverse."
Having left the armory some time ago, Dio found himself walking on the ship with no idea where he was and where to go. He wanted to discuss the terms of his contract with the kanad he met but it doesn't seem like she was anywhere on the ship. "Now where the fuck am I?"
Abraxas nodded. "Perfect... Listen, a man like you is only doing his job. But unfortunately this Galaxy doesn't treat people with a second chance. You're dealing with crews who won't hesitate to eliminate rivals or enemies. You're an enemy, that's the reality of this scenario. I'm willing to let you go in exchange to walk away from this mess. The path you're walking on right now isn't joyful and will in death. I simply wish to minimize deaths if you simply... walk away." Abraxas explained
"Amy Koronova. Pleasure to meet you too Jag. I just joined. Wow, ok, did not expect this crew to be so diverse.
"Ah, I assume you have taken some time to study us soft-carbon. It's pleasant to find an individual reacting to my presence with interest rather then fear like usual." Jag comment, taking a moment to link both Alex and her last name together. "Miss, Koromova, do happen to have any link with our chief by any chance? Through not too uncommon for your kind share names, I'm still rather curious of any possible contention between you two." Jag asked the new freelancer. --- "Run? I'm afraid I can't sir." 33.93 replied, pulling up the rip clothing on his left leg to reveal his a large boot mark over it with an shattered bone sticking out from it. "Can't fell anything from it, plus I only got one arm. I'm fairly screwed, plus I don't really want to go on.." He said bluntly towards him. "I broke my contact, that's makes me an criminal...And that makes me nothing so I got nothing to..to well, live for." He said before letting another muffled cough in his mask.
[Crashing for the night. Free to use Taylor and Valkyrie for whatever.]
Abraxas sighed. Another wrecked problem within the world. In all his years of saving up and helping the poor, gambling he might need to assist. He pulled out a million credits ten fold on his lap, pulling out a syringe and giving it to him referring to his leg. "Life is worth living for no matter how much you're living in a bottomless pit. It is more than surviving. I have spent years helping out people in need, I am too simply expendable. But I choose to live because I can make other lives better regardless if I'm either a criminal or a citizen looking for a purpose in life. "If all comes crashing down in the darkest hour, then you must carve your own path. The credits I'm giving you is a chance to start over and seek somewhere safe until you get yourself out of the pit. You must live for the sake of others. Do not let fate hamper your future. The beauty of life is that you can share happiness despite the pain."
"Truly a impressive change of heart for someone who was bred to be a soldier." Yuga entered the armory and inspected 33.93 before looking over to Abraxas. "Mr Abraxas, what makes you think this individual is not just telling you what you want to hear so he can escape and put someone else right back onto our trail?" She pulled out her sword from her scabbard and pointed it towards the floor, her hands resting on the hilt. "Perditus bringing an unknown individual straight back to our vessel and then leaves to let others do his work. And then we have you, Mr Abraxas who is prepared to let him go after he tells you a bleeding heart story." Yuga shook her head, "It is difficult to say which of you has been conducting this with the least amount of professionality." She gripped her sword with one hand and began walking towards 33.39, "Now you will tell me who you are working for and why Mr Perditus is classified as a criminal."
Abraxas crossed his arms, turning around. "Define dispose."
He look in utter confusion at him, dumbstruck at what has being offered to him. Never before was offered to 33.93 for free, everything had price that must be paid with no matter be it currency or blood. This was way he taught from the day he born, everything that him and his family paid for was in contacts. Now something was given to him for free, no charge. "I..I, I can't! I'm just an damn number!" He yelled, looking back him with anger in his eyes. "You need this far for me, you have name don't you? Any of those letters alone is worth far more then I'll ever be!" He cried, unable to happen the situation to comprehend the own value of his life, trying to justified his death mentally but somewhere deep within him. The primal, simple instinct to live begin to creep slowly into his mind before turning face looming Ayr.
"No, I'm just like you." Abraxas turned towards him. "Value is just a man-made concept. You can make a difference. Any person can make a difference. There isn't any smaller or higher value at all. I can help you 33. You're not just an number. You're a being with ideas, motivations and the background. No matter how flawed you are you can be bigger than this."
((sorry, had to rephrase my post, my bad))
3393 looked at the long blade facing him down, the shine of it's steel edge froze him. New found adrenaline begin to pump through his veins as he slowly rose his head up to glaze upon the two orange eyes that looked down upon him. He stood there frozen in fear, shaking in his place as the words of the unmasked man had finally reached him through far too late now for him to run. --- "Sorry Miss Koronova, but there seems to a urgent matter that requires my attention, pardon me." Jag said during the middle of Koronova's response, hastily walking down back towards the hanger as it's Implant begin to beep. Taylor followed suit in interest of Sanghvi's sudden departure from the conversation.
"No, he's simply a member of Asset Protection who is attempting to clean out any members who are messing with the race today. If you are concerned then I will watch over him and make sure he does nothing to jeopardize with the crew's progress. I am willing to resign in order to give this man a better life than this." Abrax said
33.93 continued in his frozen state, paralyzed in absolute fear of his impending fate at the hands of this dark blue reaper. He attempted to mutter his words before his judge. Unable to speak more then a litter as his small, widened eyes locked onto her blade as it loomed over him. He could barley think let alone think while his mind focused on the sliver sword that may end him in just spit-moment. [editline]21st April 2016[/editline] (( hey I'm going to call it for now, it's really late over so I need some sleep. I'll try to be up in 4 to 5 hours. Sorry if this is Inconvenient but I really need some sleep. I'll try to be up as soon as I can so I continue this story. ))
[59 posts in one morning. Good job, you crazy animals.] János had been quiet throughout most of the questioning. The way 33.93 acted reminded him of something from his past, but he couldn't remember what. He stepped back when tension rose between Abrax and Yuga.
"I shudder to think how many cans of whoop-ass you opened on him." Buck says to Alex. "You all cleared by sickbay?"
Yuga examined the stammering figure before her. She sheeted her sword and turned to Abraxas. "Very well, you will asume responsibility for him until we can release him after the operation. Should anything happen you will be held wholy accountable for his actions." She gesture to Janos, "Mr Celofan, would you be so kind as to escort our guest to the brig. I expect you to thouroughly intterogate him there."
"Of course," János said, as he tried his best to bring 33.93 calmly to the Brig. At the Brig, he put the man of numbers inside a cell. He decided to let him calm his nerves, as he grabbed a chair and watched him.
Abraxas then shrugged, sighing. "Better than nothing. He then heard a beep, pulling out the tape recording during the entire conversation. He filed a public file throughout the ship.
An intruder by the name of 33.93 has recently been sent to the Brig until further noticed. 33 was captured by Freelancer Jag. After several attempts to calm him down, I've managed to find out he's a member of the Asset Protection in Prospera in hopes of bringing down several criminals to ensure the Grand Prix race is undisturbed from outside contact. It is best we make sure to find out more about the security in the race and 33 in general until the mission is complete. - Physician Abraxas
As Dio was loitering outside the Brig, he saw two men bringing another man to the brig. "Interrogation? I'm good with interrogating people, want me to help? Its getting boring around here." He smirked as he folded his arms while leaning on the wall.
"I shudder to think how many cans of whoop-ass you opened on him." Buck says to Alex. "You all cleared by sickbay?"
"I'm fine. Nothing serious. And it's usually how things go. When it come to a fight and there are things I can grab, I get...creative."
Once Owen arrived at the mess, he noticed the two volunteers for the crew. After getting some food, he said to the engineers, "Well, so far you two are the only ones who asked to be on the pit crew. I was hoping to practice some, but we don't have enough people right now."
Owen didn't respond to Frosty, so he followed him all the way back to the mess hall as he waited to hear what he had to say. Then he heard Owen bring up the pit crew. This interested Frosty. "Enough people? If you are short on people, I suppose I could be of use. What needs to done?" (( No worries, btw. I know you had to sleep. ))
Sledge woke up when his communicator chirped with Abraxas' message. Just as well. It was gonna be showtime in no-time and he wanted a little bro-time with O-time. I mean Owen. He found him in the mess hall, having a conversation. Sledge took the opportunity to grab some more grub and then plopped down next. "Owen! My man! My bro! Browen! You need some muscle on your pit crew and I'm here to make a donation." He flexed as best as he could while sitting at a table with several other people. Despite posing like a meaty pretzel his muscles did actually bulge impressively.
