Owen stepped out of his quarters wearing his fire suit and helmet. He figured it was good enough for a disguise, considering that the visor was quite dark.
"Heh, you're pretty nice yourself." she said, with a sly grin. Very nice. The gynoid was pretty 'well equipped'. "Well, we should hunt down Owen, and get ready for the race. Wonder if we have any jumpsuits and helmets? We'd blend in a lot better as a pit crew." she said, changing the topic.
"We could probably use the firefighting suits and space helmets. They'd protect us pretty well, and they're not too difficult to move in." She replies, giving Valk one has grin before going back to business as usual. "I'll shoot Owen a message. Go and check on the racer, we'll want it warmed up and ready to run."
Hey, Owen. Valkyrie and I are down by the racer, we'll have it ready to go soon. -Bucky

"I'll shoot Owen a message. Go and check on the racer, we'll want it warmed up and ready to run."
"Right." she said, before walking over and climbing into the racer. She flipped a few switches, then hit the ignition. A moment later, the vehicle roared to life. Listen to it purr! She smirked, before revving the engine a few times and climbing out. Time to climb into one of the firefighting suits. "Oh, get Sledge and Frosty down here too. Owen wants us to practice a bit before the race." she says to Bucky, as she passes by.

Get me one?" She says as she watches Valkyrie stride past her.
Sledge, Frosty. Get your butts down here, we've got to do some practice before the race! -Bucky
Frosty got his boots on, since he dreaded Sledge's RIPPED feet crushing his own by accident, and headed straight outside the ship to the racer. He eagerly awaited instruction once he arrived.
"Righto! The suits should be in one of the DCT lockers, over by the extinguisher on the wall. Get me one?"
Valkyrie made an :ok: guesture over her shoulder, and strolled over to the lockers. After digging through the lockers, she came out with set of four suits. One for each of them. She tossed one to Frosty when he arrived, then handed one to Bucky as she walked up. She started to slip into hers, setting the remaining one nearby. The last would be for Sledge. Hopefully he'd fit.
The suit landed right at Frosty's feet as he did not catch it. "What's with the fire suits? Is Owen's racer so faulty that it's expected to burst into flames?"
"What's with the fire suits? Is Owen's racer so faulty that it's expected to burst into flames?"
"Its to blend in and look like a pit crew." responded Valkyrie, as she zipped her suit up. She brushed her hair back, and tied it into a loose ponytail, before looking over at Frosty. "Slip it on, see if it fits."
"Oh, I see. I was worried there for a moment. Not that I wanted to imply I doubted your engineering competence, of course." Frosty removed his armor and boots as he put on the suit. "Hmm. It's pretty bulky. And it's hot inside. Does this suit come with an air vent somewhere?"

She hits the auto-adjuster and the smart fabric of the suit automatically contracts to conform to the contour of her body. The neon orange is a bit garish, but doesn't look too bad. "Make sure to hit the auto-adjusters on your suits. IntelliFabric is a beautiful thing."
Owen arrived by the racer alp suited up. Save for the fact that he was expected to be suited up, it would be hard to tell who it was. He overheard Frosty's comment about the fire suits. "It's mostly for the fueling, since if it gets on you and combusts...well. Mind if I sit in the car?" ((Fun fact: NASCAR pit crews are required to wear helmets, but it doesn't specify what kind of helmets, so you'll see guys with bicycle, motocross, all kinds of helmets))
As Harvey was under Taylor's questioning, Jag peak into the room to overlook them for moment before departing towards it's personal quarters. Finding that First Officer Taylor had situation well under control with János alongside her to asset with an already submissive subject, it's direct presence was not needed and intact detrimental due to it's previous experiences with the investment in question. The Sanghvi took it's the time to walk down the long corridor towards it's room in peace. Thinking in pleasant solitude while walking through the cold, steel hallway. ---
Intergalactica News - Top treading story of the Hour. New life for a dead world? Despite the disastrous battle between the UGC and the Elysium Combine months ago upon the surface of Starvis, archaeologists continue to flock in the tens of hundreds towards the abandon and highly dangerous world. Even the planet's incredibly hostile flora and atmosphere does little to sway the growing numbers of researchers and their colleagues, coming to seemly populate Starvis's ruins after the original inhabitants left so long ago. It seems that planet will not be forcing these new, gung ho settlers off anytime soon if the popular theory is to be believed. The push seemed to have been started after the dozens of rare and millenniums old artifacts were found within the criminal underworld. Their origin in question being the staggering amount of hulls coming from the countless scavengers gathering around the planet to pick the bones on the battlefields of Starvis after the massive firestorm between the UGC and the Elysium Combine lead coalition in late June of last year. However, the UGC safely board continues it's strong armed push to halt such efforts, stating that the amount of non-detonated munitions and damaged weaponry left on the planet after their hastily retreat is still uncounted for. Through many sate it is because of the elusive Argos organization's heavy military presence on the planet and it's surrounding orbital satellites. The Elysium Combine's representatives have stated that this is due to the planet's hostile wild life along the number of unpredictable scavengers and pirates within the neighboring systems and planets. Posing a credible threat to the vulnerable searching parties on Starvis. Still, their has presence has been called into questions form those besides the UGC. And not just externally, Samuel Nikephoros. CAO of Menelaus Industries and one of leading administrators on the company's review by the rest of the Combine has berated the troubling organization on more then one occasion. But Nevertheless, the UGC board's words seemed to fall upon deaf ears as the numbers of eager archaeologic scouting parties delving deep into the deathly forests of Starvis continue to rise and so does the departing body bags.

Mind if I sit in the car?"
"Go for it, its your ride. Also, forgot to ask. What number do you want panted on?" said Valkyrie, as she hit the auto-adjuster on her suit. Form fitting, just like Taylor's power armor. She moved her arms and legs to get used to it. "I used to have a set of armor this color. Was a real piece of shit." she muttered.
"How about 01 as the number, it's not taken if I remember correctly"
Frosty couldn't find an auto-adjuster on his suit. Oh well, at least people would mistake him for a melting pile of orange sherbert ice cream instead of an ace pilot secretly on a mission to sabotage a race. He went up to Valkyrie and asked her how he looked.
"How about 01 as the number, it's not taken if I remember correctly"
"Alright. Numero Uno it is." she said, nodding. She then turned her attention to Frosty. "Auto-adjuster busted or something?" she asked. As she looked him over, she noticed his feet. "Hah. Chicken foot."
Frosty bawked like a chicken. "*BAWK* I don't think I have one. I searched all over the suit and I can't find it. I can live with it, however. It feels more... comfortable this way."
It took some time but after several long moments of hard work, Harvey was able to pinpoint the circuit's guard patrol patterns. Highlighting those of Asset Protection's thoroughly along the outer primers and the area where the section of heavier security was located but was unable to precisely highlight those of the Mafia's own. Only giving his predictions to Taylor.
"Don't forget the 0 in front, #1 is actually taken" Owen stated.
As soon as Harvey finished, Taylor thanked him and sent the updated map to Hariim and Yuga with a legend stating what each thing meant. "Thank you." she said, with a smile. She then stood, and walked over, fetching her revolver from János' desk. "I'll put in a good word for you with the Captain." she said, giving him a thumbs up before she left the brig. Time to head to the armory. ....
"Don't forget the 0 in front, #1 is actually taken"
"Got it." said Valkyrie, glancing in his direction. She headed back into the ship, fetching a can of white spray paint, before returning. She sprayed a large 01 on both sides of the car, before painting it on the hood as well. "There we go. Fast drying, so it'll be done by the time the race starts." she said, tossing the can aside. "Now. Where's Sledge?"
While waiting for Sledge, Owen rounded up a couple air wrenches. "You guys ever use these things before?"
"You guys ever use these things before?"
"Yeah, I've used them before." said Valkyrie, folding her arms. .... Taylor finally arrived at the armory, walking in and looking between Amy and Maddox. "Needed something, Mad?" she asked, walking over.
"Didn't mean to talk down to you, not everyone has, you know." Owen stated. "How fast are ya with 'em?"
Bucky goes over to Owen and takes the air wrenches. "We're engineers, scrub. How fast you think we are with 'em?" She chides as she gets them primed and checks their built-in compressors. She hands one to Valk once she's got it all squared away.
Owen looked at the robot girl. Owen thought of a phrase to see if he could her to perform at peak efficiency. "I know Sledge ain't here right now, but prove it."
Owen looked at the robot girl. Owen thought of a phrase to see if he could her to perform at peak efficiency. "I know Sledge ain't here right now, but prove it."
Bucky looks at him with a wry smile and shrugs. She walks over to the racer, and pulls every single maintenance and service panel off of it within 35 seconds flat, while doing it in such a way that doesn't require stopping the engine. "Proven enough, boyo? I look human, but I'm not as beholden to physical limitations. I can move about as fast as my motor processor can send and receive signals, which is pretty damn fast."
Frosty's jaw hit the floor as he saw just how fast Bucky worked. "...Wow."
Owen gave a smug smile. "Consider me impressed." Owen then threw his hand up in the air. "High five, I think we got a real shot to win today"
"Sorry, don't touch skin on prospects. If we win, I'll slap your hand. Sound good?" Bucky replies as she puts the panels back in place just as quickly as she took them off.
"Fair enough, I guess. Hey Freezeman, pick up your jaw from the floor, it's filthy down there" Owen called out
