Before Jag could reply, Yuga felt the ship take off. Grabbing her sword and putting it back in her belt she left the bar for the bridge. When she entered the bridge it was now well lit, unlike the first time when she was here. Wasting no time she walked straight over to Rask. "I trust your own pilot has evaluated the human. My own endvour in the matter were fruitless to say the least."
"Eh, it wasn't all bad. Military came calling when I didn't want to go into the family business, I signed up, and served 12 years. Left as an officer, went straight into freelance mercenary work. Did that for a few weeks, and now I'm here." She tilted her head a bit, and then finished her drink.
"That's pleasant to hear, while I can't state I have had an similar or even comparably upbringing. I do take note of effects on individuals. All but few seem quite the negative impact on them." Jag said before finding an raise of tensions within the bar, Jag chooses to remain still and let themselves figure it out rather then attempting to get involved. After the situation eased down, Jag took an moment to wait before looking and acting notability distressed. Falling inwards onto the counter.
"Such a young race they are asserting dominance over the most trivial matter"
[ Ahh, Yuga Shuur. So this where met here, Ayr? Is this how your kind introduce themselves with this kind of interruption?.] ,Jag replied back towards the Ayr's mind in the similar matter of telepathy. Through the Sanghvi abilities in this field we're extremely crude, nothing even remotely comparable to more gifted individuals and could only really be able to do basic communication though it. Limited to only fellow Sanghvi in proximity and leeching back onto those who attempt it themselves. Through it leaves quite the migraine for both participants. (( Damn, late by a minute. ))
Bucky walks into the bar in search of her crewmates, and her face lights up with delight at finally having found them. She walks up to the bar and asks Ahaz: "What's the purest alcohol you have? My processors need something to convert." While the barkeep makes her drink she turns to face the rest of the room and surveys it, ascertaining the race and probable profession of everyone in the room.
Amelia twirls her drink, then after a long moment of thought, she decides to finally drink her hot chocolate, ultimately forgiving the bartender. It was an honest mistake, no need to get worked over, and it ended with nothing noteable of holding a grudge on.
After the situation eased down, Jag took an moment to wait before looking and acting notability distressed. Falling inwards onto the counter.
Taylor steps over to check on him. "Jag?...Uh...You alright?"
János nodded while Mattheus spoke, as Bucky walked into the bar. "That Bunky?" he asked, as he pointed his thumb at her.
After the situation eased down, Jag took an moment to wait before looking and acting notability distressed. Falling inwards onto the counter.
Jag rose from the counter in a sporadic matter as Taylor tired to check on distressed Sanghvi, quickly regaining it's balance before nearly falling into one of the table and/or crewmates beside the Sanghvi. Jag took an moment knell, letting off several heavy breath through it's neck and tentacles before responding back to Taylor. "Sudden Gravity shift..." Jag replied with another breath, the Sanghvi's body let out an creak as it slowly and carefully rose back up.
Amelia gets up from her table, having finished her drink, and takes the bottle with her to the science lab. Inside, she sets down the bottle on a devide that holds the bottle in the air all by itself. She decides to throw away this bottle with a bit of fun. Items are welded together quickly, but efficiently. After only twenty seconds, she made a makeshift flamethrower. With the bottle hovering in its place, she burns the bottle with the flamethrower, instantly vaporizing it due to the chemicals mixed with the fluids in the flamethrower. She sighs with relief, any stress she had before hand is gone. She puts the flamethrower in a cabinet for later, and walks down to her room, where her computer is already set up, and plays some video games.
Abrax entered through the Bar once again, this time books in hand and wanted to know what he was going into, indirectly. He saw his coat still on the racket and pulled it off, wearing it and adjusting. He went to a nearby sofa and read the studies of notable races across the Galaxy.
When Rask had assured Yuga that Owen was only copiloting for the time being and that the route was both mapped and marked with beacons she was glad that she wouldn't have to work just yet. She decided to return to the bar, as the sanghvi had attempted to communicate with her as she left earlier. Upon entering the bar she walked straight to the counter. "Barkeep, another cup of chak. Steaming hot."
"Sudden Gravity shift..." Jag replied with another breath, the Sanghvi's body let out an creak as it slowly and carefully rose back up.
"Ah...yeah, those are a bitch to deal with." she said, smiling a bit. Well, he's apparently alright. She straightens up, then looks amongst the others.
Bucky seems some what crestfallen at first when nobody seems to notice or bother with her. She knows she's hardwired to be that way, but it doesn't help her feel better. She sees an opportunity when Yuga comes up to the counter, though. Bucky extends her hand and smiles amiably at Yuga and introduces herself. "Hello! My name is Bucky. I'm a systems engineer. Who're you?"
[Right, it's late here and I'm gonna hit the sack. Yugas just gonna finish the tea dn go to her quarters. See you all tomorrow, great start Well I have to give bucky the last call]
[Looks like Bucky is going to be stuck in the void of social isolation for a while longer then.]
János, not getting a response, decided to take matters into his own hands. Having overheard her say something about "her processors", he went over to her to see if she was a fellow android. "Heya. Name's János. You can call me John," he said to her, as he put his hand out for a handshake.
[leave for 3 hours and the thread explodes...sorry for any interaction that was missed]. As Owen was operating the ship, he overheard the aliens talking. "I wish the aliens would keep it down" Owen muttered. However, the moment he said that, he was sure he said it louder than intended.
Amelia throws the controller on her bed in a hissy fit after failing to beat this one high score 76 times.
Yuga turns to face the fizzy human. As she tries to commuicate with her she notices that there is a void, another android perhaps. Yuga takes out her compass and channels her echos into it. A metallic version of her voice escapes the compass, "I am Yuga of house Shuur, I'm contracted as this ships navigator". She takes Buckys had and shakes it firmly. " I presume you are an android?"
Bucky turns from the unresponsive and rude Yuga, and smiles at John like he's the best thing she's seen in a month. She gladly shakes his hand and returns the introduction. From the strength of her grip and the soft barely perceptible whirs and clicks from the servos in her arm, John can tell without a doubt that Bucky is indeed an android. "Very nice to meet you, John! My name is Bucky. I'm a systems engineer, I'll be keeping the air scrubbers from asphyxiating the crew on this mission." Her eyes focus on John and inspect him, it's not very often she gets to meet a fellow living machine these days.
"Ah...yeah, those are a bitch to deal with." she said, smiling a bit. Well, he's apparently alright. She straightens up, then looks amongst the others.
"More so for kind." Jag briefly comment as it picked itself up and took an moment to adjust to the ship's artificial gravity, stretchering it's limbs to get an feel of the vessal's system. Turning back to face Taylor with an straighten posture, now looking down at the soft-carbon. "Sorry for that. Sanghvi bodies are built to live within the void itself rather than planets. So gravity transitions are much more...Intensive, to put it lightly for us." Jag said as it noticed other crew members next to counter.
[C'mon man, at least give me points for trying :v:]
Waldo stumbles back into the bar, empty bottle in hand "H-h-hey I'm the only fuckin' navigator here and won't have any damn aliens- hiccup- takin' my job from me. I need this money to live..."
János laughed for a moment as he realized Bucky was an android. "Nice to meet you, Bucky. I'm the warden, though I'm more like an interrogator." He looked behind Bucky to see the rejected Yuga. "Seems like someone's trying to speak to you," he said, as he motioned his head towards Yuga.
"Looks like someone got shitfaced..." muttered Taylor, watching Waldo as he waddled in. "Buddy, there's enough money to go around. If there wasn't, they wouldn't have hired both of you." she says, folding her arms. "And I don't think she plans on taking your job. Just sharing it."
[gotta love play-by-posts when everyone is talking to everyone all at once. Timing tends to become an issue.] Bucky turns back to Yuga, with a friendly-yet-skeptical look in her eyes. "I'm sorry, you must've been distracted the first time. And yes. I was originally built as a gynoid, but became my own free entity and retrained into starship engineering. Sorry if I sneak up on you in the future, I know us clankers don't read for psions."
János looked at Bucky weirdly for a second after hearing about her being a former gynoid. He quickly shaked the look off, as to not offend her. He looked at Yuga. "A psionic user...." he thought to himself.
Yuga glares at the two androids, the compass sounding once again. "Birds of a feather flock together, as the terrans say" it clicks in her expressionless voice. Suddenly, Yuga felt a distrubance in her mind, like a buzzing radio. That damned obelisk, looks like he'll be getting the compass translator in the future as well. She presses the button on the compass and absorbs the vapors. The buzzing slowly fades and her vision sharpens again. "If you will excuse me, I must retire to my quarters" the compass finally translates. On her way out he stops to look at Waldo. "What a shame it would be if I took your livelyhood away" her voice echoed, "and given your current performance I'd vager it wouldn't be a strenuous effort for me to do so". Yuga leaves the bar and retires to her room.
"Looks like someone got shitfaced..." muttered Taylor, watching Waldo as he waddled in. "Buddy, there's enough money to go around. Just sharing it."
"Well- well- maybe next you'll be the one whose fuckin' job'll be at stake when some otherworldly thing comes to take yer job." Waldo puts a cigarette in his mouth and lights it using his custom engraved lighter. He continues "I know your type even when fuckin' shitfaced. Fascist fuck here just to see people bleed and get paid. Well tell you what, I believe in a thing called human peace."
Abrax heard the conversation unfold as he was reading his book, he tilted his head and saw the Ayr named Yuga. He remembered sketching her portrait earlier and noticed traces of negative connotation. He sighed and resumed reading, hearing more.
Bucky shrugs and turns back to John. "Well that was a little weird, but better than how most of my xeno encounters have gone. What about you? What kind of unit were you before you got this job?"
