Anna wiped a few exhaust pipes on the automobile she needed to check on for inspection. She narrowed her eyes while she brandished her power tool while wearing her welding helmet. She nearly heard the screaming behind up above: Her boss. "ANNA! PHONE CALL!" He screamed out. Anna widened her eyes and threw the saw from her hands and turned to the telephone ringing. As soon as she got there she pulled off her welding helmet and revealed the smut across her features, breathing deeply. "Hello?" "...Annabelle, although you're still working in that petty workshop we still need to discuss several matters regarding Abraxas and your... ongoing relationship." A deep voice echoed through Anna's left ear while several machinery operated in the background. Anna rolled her eyes. "Yes, I get that. Now could you please hang up now, I'm in the middle of work." "Very well. Goodby-" She slammed the telephone onto the holstry and nearly pulled out her hair. She took a deep breath and calmed herself before moving back to the current automobile. A cup of tea was planted on the wooden table as a firm man that looked like in his sixties was present as well as Anna. She sat patiently hand on her laps while her Father stared with unknown intent. "I trust Abraxas is treating you with utmost respect." Father told her while taking a sip of his black tear. Anna rolled her eyes and was really getting her nerves pulled from Father again. This was ridicious she thought. "Father, what is the meaning of this. Abraxas isn't abusing me in any way!" Anna protested, gritting her teeth as a result. "Perhaps, while he shows pride and has bought a house, his personality is that of a snob and irresponsible." Father admitted, setting aside his cup, placing his hands on his lap as he stared at Anna. "He hasn't even asked or considered marriage. Yet, he brought a house." "So?" "What my point is, Abraxas's priories are skewed, unorganized. If he contues to act this way then I am forced to dissolve this relationship myself." Anna rose from the furniture and made a stern gesture. "That is absolute nonsense." She crossed her arms. Father shook his head. "Watch your tongue, Annabelle." "Look things take time Father, all I ask of you is to give him a chance." She pleaded. Father rubbed his forehead, exhaling. He stood up and adjusted his formal tie. "Don't let him disappoint me." Anna stared, closing her eyes and bowed. Anna twisted the key, owning the door to reveal Abrax sitting on the couch writing signatures in blue ink, focused. Anna whistled, getting her boyfriend's attention. "It's about my Father, he's getting on my nerves and is actually pestering me about marriage." Abrax widened his eyes. "Marriage? Boy, that's uh interesting." He bit his lip. ... Abraxas experimented with several compounds of Alchemy as he built small objects after studying the materials needed to build such things. He sighed and rose from the workshop, signing several documents.
Johannes takes the sample from the man and pops it in his mouth, seemingly uncaring that it was fresh off the stove piping hot, and chewed thoughtfully. His grin turned into a wide smile. "Got to hand it to you, you make a mean sausage, Greaseman. Can I get two?" At that moment, Johannes comlink lit up and chimed at him that the Muramasa had landed. "Ah, fuck. My ride is here. Can you make those to go, and fast?"
Amelia looked out the window the entire time. The Mars landscape was beautiful, and every time she lands there, it's always a blessing in her eyes. She graduated at a University on Mars, spending around 8 years here. It's basically home again. When the Murasma landed, she ran for her room, hastily putting on a green hoodie and blue jeans. Meanwhile, Porter put on his suit. The mask hissed into place as it came in contact with the neck of the suit. He decided to only bring a pistol, there wasn't going to be any threat here, well, that's what's informed. A pistol just in case. He walked out of his room whilst straightening his gloves, then headed to the cargo ramp. Amelia was, surprisingly, just playing video games. No reason to head out yet, there hasn't even been one of those famous Rask intercom briefing yet. Just relax for now, time to play that old game, Half-Life 2: Episode 2. She still waits for the next one to be out, however. Instead, Porter was the one to walk down the ramp. He takes a breath through the mask before exhaling. The sun shines down on his the mask's goggles, reflecting the light into the distance as he looks towards the sky. "Beautiful," he whispers.
GREASE LIGHTNING! Two sausages were served up atop a bed of onions and peppers with the utmost speed within a doggy bag. "'Ere you go, funny man!" Greasy Steve then turned a small monitor with a slide towards Johannes. "Since you's in a rush, i'll make payin' easy. Just swipe whatever money card you got and i'll handle the rest."
Johannes grabs the bag and grins slyly at the man. "I appreciate it." Then without another word, he turns and sprints away, dodging other patrons in an attempt to duck into the crowd or behind a wall to cut vision.
It was thought that the loudest sound ever heard by man was when earth felt the sensation of pain for the first time. They thought wrong. They never heard the noise Greasy Steve makes when he gets angry. "VAFFANCUUUUULLOOOOOOO!!!!!"
((lmao what Is that giving me the go ahead to 'get away' or are you going to pursue?))
((Sorry Sega, my bad. I was waiting for you to give me somekind of go-ahead that chapter 2 had started.)) Maddox went to the bridge. As he stepped in he salute infront of Yanim & Rask. "Boss, boss. The weapon is done." ----- Vakarus, whom had only recently recovered, took some uneasy steps down the ramp while resting on his staff. "It has been some time since we last had business on this realm." He looked at Porter. "Armored-one, did you fight in the war which was waged here?"
((lmao what Is that giving me the go ahead to 'get away' or are you going to pursue?))
(( Run away before Greasy Steve catches you and turns you into long pork! ))
Porter moves his attention from the bright sun to Vakarus. "Indeed, I did. Mostly raids. Never got to see much action till the end of my service in the SSMC as a Gunnery sergeant. Had control of an entire platoon, 42 men to be exact." He leans down, picking up some dirt. The Martian soil moves between his fingers before flying away with the very gentle breeze. "Lot of men died for the unification of the Solar System... Good men. Hopefully it wasn't in vein."
Dio whistled as he saw the landscape of Mars. He had read old records of how hundred of years ago, but never actually been there before. He read about how the dirt was so full of iron oxide that it was called The Red Planet, he has also seen old photographs as well. Compared to the sight he was seeing, it was hard to believe that it was the same lifeless planet. The wonders of terraforming. "So what's our plan?" Dio turned to...somebody.
Vakarus bowed his head. "From what I've read, the sacrifices made during the conflict helped to ensure stability for the generations to come." He scanned the landscape. "We must not forget to honor our warriors." Vakarus observed the kanad ship resting on the surface of Mars. "Fascinating vessel." ((Sega are we next to the carrier or inside it?))
((Gotcha. Just didn't want to power-play the scenario.)) Johannes manages to duck behind a display, then sprint off to the side. After a few seconds, he slows down to a leisurely gait and heads to his temporary domicile to change into his armor, eating the food along the way. "Damn, dude makes a really good sausage." After about twenty minutes, he arrives at the docking area clad in his armor and helmet, a duffel bag slung over one shoulder. He scans the area with his HUD up, and the Murumasa's ID lights up. He heads for it, and quickly arrives at the base of the ramp. He glances up at Vakarus, and calls out to him in his thick Dutch accent, which is distorted by the helmet's voicepack and rebreather since they don't have a comm-link. It's not hard to understand, it just sounds very cybernetic. ((Think Combine)) "Murumasa, right?"
Vakarus looked at the mysterious man. "Indeed, I assume you're our latest addition then?"
"Nice helmet," Porter compliments, "This is the Muramasa." he chuckles, "Murumasa, that's nice." (( going to bed goodnight ))
Johannes nods. "Muramasa, yes, that is what I said." He repeats the name of the ship, barely changing the inflection. It's hard to tell if he's actually saying it right through his accent. He steps forward and offers a hand to first Vakarus, and then Porter, shaking each of their hands in turn. "Johannes Van Der Meijde, assigned to your vessel this morning. Former Royal Navy Airborne Marine. 23rd Division, then Vermaak 88." He pauses after his introduction, obviously waiting for Vakarus and Porter to return the introduction.
(( Here's the summery of the training exercise between Jag and Taylor during the time skip. )) After standard firing protocols on the range, Taylor's aim as steady as ever. Putting down rounds through holograms with ease and pinpoint precision even after Jag decided to have them run about and hid with simulated cover. One by one they all flickered and flashed after having several projectiles past through them. However, things became much more interesting as Jag step forwards next to Taylor. The Sanghvi then slowly delve into the most the brutal side of combat, that being CQC or Close Quarters Combat. Jag carefully explained to Taylor about it in great detail, maybe even showing a sign of passion for the art itself in it's words. Then, in flash of an instant. An dozen holograms sparked around Taylor, too close to use her weapon, as they we're still simply holograms. Jag took an sharp step backwards, quickly telling Taylor that these we're tanning holograms we're now linked to her suit. Taylor stare back at Jag before receiving an quick jab to the waist from one of the nearby holograms. Her suit now emulating the augmented force of power armor's strength. Through still quite a bit inaccurate, it was real enough for what Jag had in mind. Jag gave Taylor an moment to prepare before starting the next phase of her training simulation. However, the moment lasted only half of an minute and phase begin with an hard start as the team of holograms leaped into action. Through, even with their head start. It was still an relatively easy affair for Taylor. Albeit, an long and tiring one. The suit also made sure to add wight and halt itself while hitting the hollow light projections. Making sure that the encounter was authentic as possible. Jag watched Taylor closely, looking over every technique and stance she employed in the simulated bawl. Lasting almost two hours. Jag made sure to keep the holograms working in a believable human matter. It ended with Taylor taking out the last able hologram with an straight kick into what would be the lower ribs. Most assuredly shattering several simulated bones. But the simulation ended only an moment away from ship departing onto the Korolev Station, the armory now empty besides Talyor. Now standing alone, tired and beaten after this grueling exercise. Jag was no where to be seen.
(( actually I'll stay up just a bit more to respond )) Porter shakes Johannes' hand firmly, "Pleasure. I'm Porter. Former Solar System Marine, Gunnery Sergeant, was in charge of the 31st Platoon. Currently Sol Interior Guard on leave." "I'm going back inside, seen enough already, and I should relax after I've recovered from the spray of bullets." he salutes Johannes, then heads to his cabin and rests on the bed for a quick nap. (( okay NOW I go to bed. ))
((You don't need to type everything in bold/fine text by the way.)) Vakarus shook Johannes's hand. "I am Vakarus of House Va'un." He gestured towards Porter. When Johannes started talking about royal marines Vakarus got a confused look on his face. "Royal marines? Vermaak 88? Forgive me for asking but what is your age exactly? You seem to speak of things which existed long before the Sol Government was formed."
Bucky spends the trip doing her job, and hanging out with Janos or Valkyrie; depending on how those two felt or wanted to do. Needless to say though, Bucky has established her dominance over them as master of the vidya. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hariim also tends to his work as well, and keeps working at the freakish hodgepodge that is the ship's internal computer systems and software. He keeps trying to puzzle out the mess one piece at a time. Otherwise, he just spends his time down in the armory practicing with his rifle or sitting in the mess hall wondering why nobody but Yuga ever talks to him.
((I know I don't. I just prefer it that way. Holdover from when I was part of RPWL)) Johannes returns the salute to Porter before he leaves, then turns to Vakarus. "I'm... not sure, actually. I was born in the Netherlands, before humanity even left the Sol system, in 2206. I served in the Koninklijke Marine Korps Mariniers, then the Vermaak 88 PMC picked me up after my 4th tour ended. They turned me into, well... this..." Johannes gestures to himself, before reaching up and around to the back of his neck and disengaging his helmet's seal, taking it off and tucking it under his arm. Varakus could clearly see his skin was tight against his cheekbones and jaw, and extremely pale with a slight blue-grey tint. His cybernetic eye and the scar tissue around his left eye socket and on the left side of his face the most obvious feature after that. "Then put me on ice after a few tours with them back in, hrm... 2233 I think. I woke up six years ago."
Frosty still remains in his cabin, face down on his bed.
((Stop being antisocial, Frosty. Come say hi to Ice Grandpa You'll love him. He's the coolest :v:))
Fuck, that was a nice workout. Taylor grunted, looking around the room as she managed to catch her breath. She needed to rest. Hand-to-Hand takes a lot out of a person. Especially against 12 opponents and over 2 hours worth of it. At least her Wing Chun and Silat skills were still in top form. Her former CO would be proud. Maybe she could spar with Alex sometime. A real fight is always better than a simulated one. She decided to go climb out of her power armor, and lay down for a bit. As she departed the armory, bringing her LMG with her, she noticed Harrim in the mess hall. "Staying here instead of heading out with the others?" she asked, stopping next to him. .... Valkyrie emerged from the ship, wearing her jacket and a beanie hat which hid her hair. She also wore a pair of shades, her toothpick twirling about in her mouth. She had to wear this stuff, otherwise some random police officer could spot her and try to take her in. She was a wanted felon here, after all. The reason she was leaving the ship at all was to get parts. Parts for her drone. It needed a new logic board, along with a slew of other things. She paused at the bottom of the cargo ramp of the Muramasa, looking at the others as they talked.
((Waiting for Viper to post so I can reply to him and then interact with Valkyrie in the same post, infab))
Vakarus nodded understandingly. "Alot of things have happened since you walked these lands then." He then nods towards Valkyrie.
"Yes. I suppose so. Mars hadn't been terraformed yet when I was a child, and yet now here I stand." He trails off, then glances over as Valkyrie walks up. He smiles at her, friendly enough, and extends one of his gloved hands. "Another crewmember I take it? Johannes, fresh meat. Well, more so frozen than fresh I suppose." He pauses, then laughs at his own joke.
Valkyrie gave Vakarus a two-fingered salute, before shaking the new guy's hand. "Valkyrie. One of the ship's engineers and the resident robo-tech." she replied, swapping the toothpick to the other side of her mouth.
"Engineer huh? Great. I'll have to come to you next time my suit condenser acts up." Johannes grins. "So what's with the Spy vs Spy getup?"
"That is currently none of your concern, Mr.Meijde." a voice echoed in Johannes' head. On top of the ramp stood Yuga with her arms behind her back Instead of her usual captains coat, she wore a heavier one, with fur lining, a popped collar, two rows of vertical gold buttons on the chest and like her usual coat it was subtly ornate. The coat was tightened around her waist by her large Mura Navigation School belt (See original picture on page 1) from which her scabbard dangled. She began walking down the ramp and stopped at the gathering of people, looking at Valkyrie. "Good news, I've arranged for the stations service crew to install the fuelrods." She narrowed her eyes in a friendly manner and tilted her head backwards "Try not to run into any trouble." She turned her attention towards Johannes, "Johannes Van Der Meijde? I am Yuga of House Shuur, the captain of this vessel. Your files tell an interesting story, we'll see if you fare as well as they claim you will."
