Markus put his hands on his hips and tilted his head forward, raising another eyebrow, "Now I ain't no historian, but the Sol unification was fuckin ages ago. Ya expect me to believe yer 'undreds of years old, mate?"
"As for me," Neasha finally answered, slightly annoyed with Markus's interruption, "I served as pilot of this vessel until the recruitment of this crew. Now, I work directly for the company's owner as an expert on various matters such as maintenance, procurement, and training. I'd be out there with them, but I've lived in space vessels most of my life. I dislike treading in wide open spaces if I can help it."
Johannes looks at Markus silently for a few moments. "Yes. Cryostasis." He turns to Neasha. "So do you participate in the boarding of hostile vessels?"
Ahaz sits at the bar on the ship. He's slowly smoking an ecigarette and breathing out the vapor, trying to remember what happened on the last planet that he was on.
Taylor stood silently nearby, her arms folded as the others talked and she listened. Boarding an enemy vessel, eh? She herself had done it once, but the hard way. Explosive decompression is not fun, even from outside a ship. She glanced back out of the armory, up towards the mess. In the back, she could see Ahaz sitting at the bar. FINALLY, the man shows back up. Where had he been, glued to the toilet? She shook her head. She wondered if he had noticed some of his booze was gone.
Hariim finishes his last few rounds of practice. He clears and locks his weapon, and stows it. He regards the new arrival for a moment before walking over and offering his hand to shake. "Hariim M'baal. Tech Specialist and Operations Control. Former Corporal, SDF Marine Corp. Nice scar you got there on your noggin. You a headshot survivor too?" Hariim's obvious cybernetic eye glows a friendly green, its advanced optics and analytical systems pouring over Johanne's head. ---------------------------------------------------- Bucky looks like she's in wonderland. The bubbly little android practically prances over to the energy weapons section and wastes no time in picking up, handling, and meticulously inspecting every single plasma weapon her deft hands can reach. After a while she finds a nice general-purpose plasma gun of carbine lenght, and sets about familiarizing herself with it, as well as pouring over the massive variety of tactical accessories available. Honestly though she doesn't quite look like she knows what she ought to be getting. She could use some help from a friend.
Maddox, having been ignored by Rask and Yanim, went back the armory. He nodded towards Markus before sitting down. He sent a notification to his employer that their side-project had been finished. As he sent the message, he looked up to Markus. "Did I miss anything?"
He nodded towards Johannes, who was discussing with Neasha, "Yer missin it right now. Popsicle 'ere says 'e was alive before the sol unification."
"Boarding enemy vessels isn't something we've ever tried before," Neasha explained. "Before the current crew came about, there was only five of us, including myself, not enough to board and subdue an entire enemy vessel, at least not one worth the trouble. Then again, this whole operation got started because I used to fly a ship all by my self, and I got hijacked by the Boss and her right-hand man. That was on the ground, though." --- Yanim and Rask received the notification alerting them of the completed weapon design. "[Did he say anything about this before we landed?]" Yanim asked as they crunched across the snowy ground. "[Yeah, you were too busy ogling the scenery, keh.]" "[Well then why didn't you say anything? We could have evaluated it before setting out.]" Rask shrugged. "[I'm not gonna give a shit if the Boss doesn't give a shit. Besides, it'll be there when we get back. Don't wanna keep our contact waiting.]" "[True...]" Yanim said as they reached another set of stairs. "[Hold on, I need to catch my breath.]" She sat for a moment and took several deep breaths of tank nitrogen. "[Okay, let's go.]"
Valkyrie notices that Bucky seems to be fooling with things she didn't know much about. She walked over, patting her on the shoulder as she walked up. "I'm not as much of a gun nut as Taylor or Mad, but I think you'll want a decent scope for that." she said, before pointing out a nice looking scope on the table. "That's a medium range scope. Configured for your basic vision, thermal vision, and night vision. Grab that, along with that reflex sight there." she stated, before pointing to an attachment a few spots over. "Both can be customized and adjusted. Might want that bandoleer there too, so you can carry extra plasma magazines." Valkyrie then chuckles. "I'll show you a trick with plasma mags later. For the good times when you want a decent sized bang." she says, slyly. She always had a thing for explosives, and homemade plasma grenades were pretty great. Valkyrie then noticed something that actually made her gasp in surprise. "Is that a fucking cutlass?!" she said, walking over to another table. On it, a rather ancient looking sword. "It IS!" she said, squealing a bit. The gleaming metal blade still looked pretty damn sharp, though the metal on the sheath and the cutlass itself's guard looked kinda worn. Shit, she could clean that up easy!
Maddox raised an eyebrow and only now noticed the number of people aside from himself and Markus who were standing around in the armory. Among them was a new guy. He got up and extended his hand. "Maddox Graves, former combat engineer and weapons technician with the SDF Novithus Auxiliary Corps. Currently the armorer and weaponsmith onboard this ship. My friends call me Mad." Maddox looked around those in the room, he nodded towards Taylor before returning his gaze to the greenhorn. "I'm not sure what the rest of the crew have told you, but I can tell you this; if it's praise it's most likely true, if not then its bullshit coming out of Markus's mouth."
Maddox received a reply to his message.
Rask here- we'd like a demo of the weapon once we return- short and long range. We'll take it outside and shoot some bottles or somethin'. Anyway, thanks for the update, boyscout.

Valkyrie notices that Bucky seems to be fooling with things she didn't know much about. She walked over, patting her on the shoulder as she walked up. Valkyrie then noticed something that actually made her gasp in surprise.
Bucky considers Valkyrie's recommendations for a while, and picks up the reflex sight, but leaves the scope. She's reasoning that she can use some of the built-in functions of her eyes if she wants magnification, and she's gonna be using her new gun for shipboard security more often than not; so putting hefty optics on her gun doesn't make much sense to her. Though she might get it just in case, but maybe not.... but maybe so. Bucky makes sure to pick up a punch of charge packs for her new plasma carbine, and a nice mag pouch to carry them in conveniently. She looks at some accessories for low-light fighting, but again her eyes can compensate for many of the factors that laser sights, IR flashlights, etc. cover anyways. So she saves her money, quite happy that the good engineering of her adaptable shell is coming into its own. When Valkyrie dashes over to faun over the cutlass, Bucky follows after her. "Oh, that looks nice. Good for close encounters, eh?" She says with a giggle. "Try it on! Let's see how it looks on you~"
Markus let out a short laugh and sat down on a crate, "You 'fraid o' criticism, grease monkey?" He looked towards Johannes, "Watch it when 'es got a gun, might mistake ya for an android an' pull the trigger faster than ya can say bloody oorah"
Maddox chuckled. "Yeah yeah, keep at it convict. Savor it while you can." He gestured towards Johannes. "What's this talk about you being a hundred years old? Cryosleep? Implants?"
"Try it on! Let's see how it looks on you~"
Valkyrie tries it on without another word. She sheathes it, then fastens the belt around her waist. The sword hangs on her side loosely, cocked at an angle for easy drawing. She tries drawing the sword, gripping the handle and pulling. It slides out with ease, as if it was coated in oil. Smooth and clean. Perfect. She then twirled the sword around, the blade gliding through the air. She really had no experience using anything larger than a machete, but she had always wanted one of these. "My dad had a cutlass. He kept his for show, though. Always thought it was cool. Played with it whenever he let me...SDF confiscated it when they killed him." she said, stopping and looking at the sharp tip of the blade before glancing to Bucky.
Is that a fucking cutlass?!
"Hehe, you noticed that did you? Yeah that's an oldie that's been here since I took over. No idea where it came from. I would sell it as an antique, but it needs cleaning. As for droids. I have this little beastie right here." he took out a remote from his pocket and ressed one of the buttons on it. One of the droids activated and leapt from the table. "This here is the Cerberus. Think of it as a guard dog or an attack dog if you need it to be. It can run and traverse most kinds of terrain and can deploy a high-caliber cannon with kinetic shots. Downside to it is that the cannon takes a while to set up and the smarter oponents can run for cover." He pressed another button and another droid sprung to life. Only this one was hovering in the air. "This one is called the Bird of pray. Desinged as more of a support rather than attack, it can carry things for you and harras your light armor oponets with it's razor sharp titanite claws. It can travel in a speed of 360K/H if needed. Of course the speed requires a sacrifice in armor, so if your oponent is quick enough or has a good aim or is just plain lucky, it can shoot it out of the sky." "Oh Eddie, that sword reminds me. Add about 10 training swords to my order. Make 3 of them a zweihander size." "Isn't that too big for you?" "It's not for me." "Alright."Eddie looked at Bucky. "Do you have anyting else you want to buy?"
[Bucky nabbed a plasma carbine and some stuff to go along with it. Refer to previous posts.] "Aw... I'm sorry to hear about that." Bucky replies sincerely. She looks at Valkyrie, sympathy clearly expressed in her face. Lips in a little frown and green eyes conveying feeling clearly. "I think you should get this one. You look good with it on, like a pirate princess or something dashing and rogue-ish." She continues. Bucky's eyes catch onto something in the background of her vision. Body armor, tactical wear, and general BDUs and PT outfits. All the clothing necessities for a spacer merc. "C'mon, you're gonna help me try some things on. Kay?~"
"Aw... I'm sorry to hear about that....I think you should get this one. You look good with it on, like a pirate princess or something dashing and rogue-ish."
"Pff...pirate princess. Kinda cheesy." she said, looking the sword back over. "Eh...what the hell, I'll get it." She looked back over at Eddie. "I'll take this cutlass, and the Cerberus drone. Got any other parts for drones?"
"C'mon, you're gonna help me try some things on. Kay?~"
She looked back to Bucky, to see her eyeing some body armor and clothing nearby. "I thought you could...you know, shape shift or whatever." she said, tilting her head to the side and smirking. She knew Bucky was trying to flirt with her, but this wasn't exactly the place for that. Plus, Amy was here with them. "Just pick out what you like."
"Yeah, I can change how I look, but I can't magically sprout clothes. I'm not one of those models. What'd be better on the ship? Digi camo or black?" She asks, looking through some plate carriers and BDUs.
"Yeah, I can change how I look, but I can't magically sprout clothes. I'm not one of those models. What'd be better on the ship? Digi camo or black?"
"Black. Basic, classic. If you wanna stand out instead of blend in, the digi camo would be more your style." replied Valkyrie, slipping the cutlass into its sheath.
I'll take this cutlass, and the Cerberus drone. Got any other parts for drones?
"Alright." Eddie picked up one of the remotes from the table and tossed it to Valkyrie."That's for you so you can control it. Ammo for the droid is sold seperate." "Jeez Eddie, price gouge harder will ya. Anyway here are the mods I'm getting. Gonna have fun with these." "I run a buisiness, a less than reputable one among the authorities I might add. I gave you a discount, didn't I? Anyway, you want to carry this or do you want me to arrange it to be delivered to your ship?" "Have my order be delivered as standart ammo restock." She noticed something on one of the tables. "Hello, what's this?" Amy grabbed what looked like a blueprint. It looked like a compact mine. "Eddie, how much for this?" "It's not tested, so 15 grand." "I'll workshop it. Deal."
Meanwhile as Frosty raced across the nearby ice caps canyons, his dangerous speed attracted the attention of a SISP police craft patrolling the outer fringes of the nearby settlements. Soon Frosty could notice blue and red lights reflecting off of the hull of his ship. "Unidentified craft, land immeadiately."
"As expected. Alright, I'll take four crates of ammo for it." said Valkyrie, looking the control remote for the droid over. Kinda simple. She could probably make an automated system for it, but this would be useful in case it ever failed. "How much for everything?" asked Valkyrie, looking back up towards him. .... "Cryo." said Taylor, speaking up in Mad's direction. "He's a popcicle, just like Frosty." She straightened up, motioning towards Johannes. "Our new crew mate here wishes to speak to you about his gear, before he gets settled in."
Bucky decides to just take both, along with some good PT outfits to replace some older stuff she's been holding onto. She carries her pile of acquisitions over to be purchased. Though she does ask her friends: "Think I should get a pistol or a knife? I noticed that a lotta guys carry one or both of those..."
Maddox nodded. "Well then, what can I help you with then?" Asked Maddox to Johannes.
How much for everything?
"Koronova's order is at around 30 grand. Yours is 12. You have that robot plus the spare parts for free and a waranty for 10 and each ammo crate is 500 on top. You friend with the plasma carbine and the clothes owes me 5."
"Think I should get a pistol or a knife? I noticed that a lotta guys carry one or both of those..."
"I carry just a machine pistol and a knife in my jacket, usually. Taylor carries that revolver, and a trench knife or whatever in her boot. What about you?" asked Taylor, looking in Amy's direction.
"Koronova's order is at around 30 grand. Yours is 12. You have that robot plus the spare parts for free and a waranty for 10 and each ammo crate is 500 on top. She looked back at Bucky, then said "If you're gonna get a pistol or knife, now's the time." [editline]20th May 2016[/editline] [Heading to bed for the night.]
"S'alright. I can buy my own gear, not hurting on money right now. I think I'll grab a bolt pistol, actually. I did read some interesting stuff about those..." Bucky nabs herself a good bolt pistol and a decent personal supply of magazines and ammunition, as well as a good targeting package that can link in with her entopic displays for easy aiming. Add in a little shorsword for giggles, and the android engie is packing quite the nice little personal arsenal for herself.
What about you?
"Got this." Amy flicked her wrist and a blade shot out."Nice, compact and out of sight most of the time." Eddie added to Bucky's order with a smile. "That's another 5 grand to your order." After the 3 women paid, he escorted them out of the shop. "Pleasure doing buisiness with you. If you have friends who need a restock, send them my way. Eddie's is the best place to do buisiness this side of Sol."
