The older man nodded, it was a good deal, a solid deal, one that would not only ensure the bank had more patrons but also would bring prestige and recognition to them and the House of Gray. Certainly the guard staff would need to be increased but otherwise it would be a done deal. "Alright then Archivist I accept the deal." he said extending his hand outward for the man to shake. "May our ventures forever be fruitful."
"Before I go. I must give you this." The archivist mumbled a few assorted words and twirled a finger. A few sparks flew from his palm and smoke rose from it as a scroll apeared. Griping the piece of parchment, he handed it over to Gray. "This is a map to some ruins my men have located. They are currently looking through for any magical items they can find, but report possible intruders. We have little interest in anything not magical there, but should you send some of your mercenaries there, you are more than welcome to any valuables that are not magical in nature."
The old man smiled slyly, his white teeth shining yellow in the light of day. "I believe an arrangement such as that is more than acceptable, I will send a dozen mercenaries to assist in your venture post haste." He proceeded to put the partchment on his desk where copies could be made for his scouts to look for loot. "Now I must bid you adieu archivist, with our business concluded I have much work to get done. Plenty of Caravans need guards and tolls to be collected you know." His smile out of the light glowed white again, as he sat down in his large chair he put on his spectacles. and took out a flume, presumably to copy the map and imply to the archivist that his time was up.
