I just think not having locked containers and instead encouraging people to guard their own stuff would be a good thing to do, it would encourage people who are stocked up to hire wastelanders to do things (like quests or just little errands and things) while they sit on their stuff.
Anyone who has so much stuff that they actually need to put it in containers is well established enough that they don't need protection, the exception to this would of course be things like faction stockpiles (like the containers with NCR uniforms at the NCR base) which ideally should check which faction you are in instead of having a password.
The people who are spawning in items and doing stuff (admins or otherwise) should be giving the normal people something to do, not going off and doing their own roleplay. You need to share the wealth around more so that people have something to do, because despite what some super-serious roleplayers might say, you do need items to roleplay a survivor scavenging for resources in a post-apocalyptic world.

That's another thing I just hate in general about roleplay. The idea that you "don't need props to roleplay."
You don't need ANYTHING to roleplay, but having it ENHANCES the roleplay.
Sure people might try to spam, or remove shit with the too lgun (in which case that shouldn't happen, don't let players touch world props) but then you can just ban the shitlords and let everyone else (99% of the players) have the ability to make stuff.
I wanted to set up a little refugee camp, but nope can't no props to build a small fence. Nothing. Maybe a system where you scavenge and get resources like metal, and then props cost metal or something. Some system that makes scavenging useful, and could be expanded into crafting.
There is a roleplay called PostApoc or something that does this and it does it decently last I checked, dunno if that still applies.

a lot of the issues you cited is because of the admin structure that we used to have, hence why I've recently put myself above all other admins simply because of horrible economical (and trading issues) that have stemmed from general issues with deciding what should be done.

My name is Yuri Sergig, used to be the guy who ran the Omertas on this community, that being The Spire roleplay. I'll just go ahead and explain what happend on this community that been glorified to this abysmal amount of hype under the facade of promise of superiour roleplay, and a greater community then others.
It all started with back when we were all hyped up for this, who would not be about this community ? New content ? New possiblities ? It all seemed great, and what exciting news it brought before the people that joined in. In the three-two months since launch of the server I was working day, and night on bringing a tight-knited group of people to roleplay by this faction, the Omertas, one of the three factions that is upon the Strip. We had fun toggether, did regular meetings, and was the only ones to organize the first of passive events around. We did boxing matches, talent shows, and charity events all done in the roleplay. It really was so grand, and given how we could be able to do this in a way we could see people using a new way of making a earning besides the traditional looting, and combat builds.
Anyway as time past we started getting bothered by our dear friend, Johnny. First it started with him asking on TS to take care of me. Much to my suprise I wondered about why this would happend ? Why would he wish for such a fact to happend before me. Anyway I left soon as I heard that, not wanting to take a chance rumour, or not. Since then things were quiet enough, and we kept doing the regular business we did. However a pair of weeks later I was met with the same fate again, this time with him, and his large group of admin friends playing on a group of secruitrons somehow far more superiour to Mister House as they explained in the text below, saying infact they were able to defeat this Mister House, the one of the three biggest factions on this roleplay.

As you can see he clearly explains that he defeated this Mister House, and showed very little reaction to attempts to people arguing against this poor roleplay he done, and the large amount of powergaming he submitted against us. Same with the given /me they did, and how they were somehow equipped with advanced technology, and firepower the regular secruitrons had, that they would not even be able to use. That is because the main mission about Fallout New Vegas is handing Mister House a casino chip that allows him to upgrade the secruitrons to this Mark II status, thus then finaly allowing him to use this firepower they had. Anyway I wont go on about this, besides the point.
After a long, and tiresome evening being submitted to this poor excuse of a roleplay, in the end he then NLR'ed everyone, but my character, explaning that because they attempted to resist them, and since they defended my character against their group it caused my death. After this I then realize that my character was indeed permanant killed, and saw that I could no longer access him. I then got in a conversation with the Admin director, Tom.

In short he said since he was the Owner they had very little they could do to him, and that I just had to deal with it. As I said I am fine by it, I will just make another character, then take it from there. Moments later after they quickly took my mod powers from me on the group board on the forum, explaning the reason behind it was because I called Johnny autistic. Really ?
Whatever the point is this roleplay for the matter is not better then any other community, alike TnB, and Lemonpunch. They are attempting to glorify themselves upon this golden throne of theirs, however as a greek statue, to closer, and closer you get to the, the beauty fades away as you realize the crack in the facade.
Sure, there is a few good admins around, however they either they do not wish to go against this behaviour in fear of losing their admin roles, or they simply want to look away from this issue.
I hope I can spare others from going in the same situation like me, because that last thing I want is let having others ruinning their time, and efford into this. Also this is not some butthurt post, I just dont want others investing their time, and efford into this having it all wasted in a matter of minutes because of this self-centered prick.
PS. If you still have problems trusting me I have plenty of additional logs I can pull of my main PC, and screenshots from the whole mess. Also you may wonder why I decided to post this here, but really I think it is fair for everyone to have a insight on what is going on the server since so far all you heard was happy news.

I don't know anything about this incident, but this kind of proves the point we made on the previous page that rp should be conducted by players not admins. Players need to be given the power to make their own rp and admins should just be on the side, not interfering except maybe through existential forces like weather events.
The ultimate goal of a rp server should be to get as many people as possible cooperating in roleplay, but only having admins and respected members making decisions stifles that. This is doubled by the fact that it's impossible to be an admin that actively administrates the server and roleplays at the same time and not metagame.

I don't know what's worse, the fact that you took Dusty jokingly saying that they killed Mr.House seriously, or the fact that you thought that taking all of your men out of your office and going to Caesars Legion camp EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY WANTED TO TALK was a good idea, or how about taking all your men and going to Nipton to aid the legion in firefight against NCR, you thought that was a good idea too. Basically, he got caught breaking the New Vegas Treaty, pissed off Mr. House because because he wasn't even trying at all to hide the Omerta's allegiance to the Legion, and he got boined for it.
