"I think the speaker in the Engine Room and Engineering Room are busted since I made an announcement about the plan. Basically me and the captain are going to play Russian Roulette, thankfully I am great at the game, always won. Everything will be fine Kr, heck, we might even have stuff for you to work with, and new crew members..possibly. Just trust me Kr, I know you are neglected but I believe in you. Go to the Mess Hall or the Bar and stay there until further notice, I don't want anyone in danger." Jeremy said to Kr.
"With this plan you put everyone in danger you oaf! "You can't give me a Quick Fuck? Shame. I'll guess you'll have to give me one some other time. Maybe accompanied by Sex on the Beach, with a Sea Breeze surrounding us? After that, I'll have to have a Golden Shower to cool off though." Arthur pulls him self up to the midget, and whispers in his ear. "That last one wasn't actually a drink." He leans back, and slams his palm on the bar. "Anything at all else? Maybe some water, or at least a conversation? I'm dying over here."

I am here to ensure that this ship survives, and the crew of it by extension. What you are doing is literally suicide. And if they are monitoring this ship all they have are their sensors. Radar, Lidar, Ladar, IR, etc. Those are all good and dandy, but they all have the same problem. If a change or an object is too small, they don't detect it well if at all. Did you even bother to listen during your training? Are you familiar whatsoever with the intricacies and specifics of the systems used in spaceflight? Surely you must be playing a game or something, because thus far you have proven to be the most inept captain I have served under! If we blind their sensors with a radiation burst produced by one of our bombs we can slip away while running silent. It's simple, the preparations are done, all I have to do in order to get this crate moving is to press the "Start" button." "Your choice captain, risk your life in a game. Or go with a plan that actually has a shot at working."
"First off, there are multiple drinks called "Golden Shower".", Dwan says, displaying his knowledge of alcohol. "Second off, I'm having a conversation with everyone here in the Bar at the moment, so you can join in.", Dwan responds to Arthur. "And third off, I still have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, including some exotic drinks that you will not find anywhere in this known universe! Nuka-Cola, Banang, Perk-a-Cola, e-Cola and so on. Or you can have just some water. Your choice.", Dwan says, offering quite a selection of drinks that he brought onto the ship.
Zach nodded as the situation was explained to him, and then sat on a nearby barstool. "I see, so it's all kicking off upstairs then, while we just sit here and clean." He relaxed his pose a little and smiled to nothing in particular. This might actually be an interesting job after-all. "I could perhaps see if any of our extra stock can be turned into alcohol, if you are wanting to replenish the supply. I believe we have a rather unholy amount of potatoes that can be distilled if need be." He looked around and shrugged, this place was looking much nicer now they'd tidied it a little. "That is if we don't get blasted into oblivion by those pesky pirates."

Kr, PLEASE trust me when I say I have this sorted out, No one is going to die except for the Head Captain...Heck if I die, I will promote you to Captain, you can take control of this ship." Jeremy said.
"Heh, I'm sure you love drinking golden showers indeed!" Arthur looks around the bar, taking in the scenery; and people to boot. "Anyone want a conversation with a humble geneticist? I'll be waiting here for a damn while." He turns back to Dwan. "Until then, do you have any White-Gold Tower? If not, I'll have a Slurm. Shaken, not stirred."

We will have made a jump to FTL by the time they knew what'd happened. We put you and the rest of the crew at less risk. We have all this technology around us in this ship, we should use it. This ship is here and it is ready to be used, it has everything we need to get out of here. Your plan puts us in risk needlessly. A better alternative is sitting right here staring you in the face. Use it, please!"

Jeremy said. "Enough is enough Kr, you will thank me with all the new technology we get, trust me. Now get to the mess hall." Jeremy instructed Kr.
The Captain has spoken.
Captain Jeremy sighed, scratching the back of his head as he requested a transmission from Col. Bruta himself. This plan was risky but as long as Bruta doesn't think twice everything should go off without a doubt. Soon, the transmission opened to Bruta's ship, seeing the same man earlier before. "So, does the bastard come the terms on losing this battle?" Bruta taunted. "I'd like to request a deal breaker. Face to face, you show up here on my ship and we'll play a game of Russian Roulette. If you win, you're welcome to take everything. If I win, your crew will leave us in peace and we'll be on our way... No monitors, no cameras, only me and you." Jeremy said, nervous on whether Bruta will take the chance, it all depended on his decision. Silence grew throughout the ship as well as Bruta's ship also. "Heh heh, a death seeker eh? Well you interest me human. I gotta admit brass balls like yours won't last very long in space." Bruta stated. "Yeah yeah, I get the point. Are you in or not?" Jeremy demanded as his nerves started to get tested with. Behind that helmet Bruta smirked. "I'm honorable, so are my men. I accept." Bruta took the chance and rose from his chair, ending the transmission. Jeremy was confident on this plan. Bruta was too gullible and prideful to not do it. In the end, he was just another dimwitted captain wanting to make some big coins. ... Bruta arrived on the Archius XI, the hangar bay exactly, a shit eating grin appeared behind the mask. He looked around as his pirates who invaded died trying. "You bastards.. who the hell are you people?" Bruta questioned, raising a direct eyebrow towards Jeremy. "Who knows, but I gotta admit we do make a hell of a crew together." Jeremy said. Bruta pulled out a large hand cannon, Jeremy alarmed almost made a movement until it was clear that that gun wasn't loaded... yet. "What? You think I'd shoot you right here? Nah, too easy." Bruta said. Both set up a table, the hand cannon laid there like some stale piece of prop. Both sat down in place, waiting confidently for their fate on Lady Luck. "I insist you let me load it." Jeremy insisted, receiving a laugh from the Colonel. "Not a chance. Nadda." The brute carefully placed one armor piercing bullet on the cylinder. The Colonel stared straight at the Captain, eye to eye. This was fate. Bruta spins the cylinder, spinning aimlessly. Bruta took the chance and aimed the hand cannon to his head side. *Clink. "Heh, I guess this means it's your turn." Bruta stated as the gun didn't fire, wrong chamber. Jeremy took the gun and aimed it just like Bruta did. *Clink. Nothing. "I'd like to get to know you. What is your name?" Captain Jeremy asked. "Colonel Bruta Cadcila, I served in the Kercan Blitzcorps during the Kercan Civil War. I was fine soldier, doing everything I could to make my race proud. It just didn't do it for me when I saw many killed in the line of battle. Was it worth it? Hell yeah, I loved killing. But... I felt inclined to command my own, do you have any idea how much my generals were thinking by pulling us on unbelievable odds? Balls to the wall insane." *Clink. Nothing. "Now you're here right now?" Jeremy asked. "You could say that. I'd prefer you call us deserters, we don't speak for our government, it's a corrupted mess and we ultimately paid the price. Corporations bribing and doing whatever the hell they want, eventually they're going to affect the Galactic Community." Bruta explained. Silence grew once again. The cold chills of goosebumps made both harden for death. "That's funny, didn't you say you were being paid by contracts?" Jeremy asked. "So you have been listening... yeah some unknown syndicate that has a cooperation as a front. They hired me, that's what it all is. It almost felt that I was being... controlled." Bruta stated. Jeremy took the gun once again and aimed it closely to his head. "What was the name?" "The Crimson Son." Bruta said. *Bang! The shot ranged throughout the hangar, even Bruta was surprised. Jeremy's head received a bullet hole through his skull. His eyes faded away, closing. Life was fading away. Blood came down the floor, his corpse fell on the floor. No one heard, saw, nor felt the scene but one unknown person through a monitor.
"Whilst I have my own means of procuring alcoholic beverages for the bar, having some right now would be great.", Dwan says in response to Zach's suggestion. "Bring the potatoes back to the bar. There is a compact distillery underneath the counter you can use.", Dwan says to Zach. "Do you have any White-Gold Tower? If not, I'll have a Slurm. Shaken, not stirred.", Arthur says, deciding on a drink. Dwan looks at Arthur very suspiciously. As he keeps his exotic drinks in a cabinet made of reinforced steel and tempered glass (aswell as labels corresponding with the drinks displayed within), no one should've taken any alcoholic drinks from it. He unlocks the cabinet and checks it. "I actually have some White-Gold Tower.", Dwan says, as he pulls it out and pours it into a glass. "Here you go, sir. Just remember, the exotic drinks are some of the most expensive in the bar.", Dwan tells Arthur as he leaves the bottle on the counter and locks the cabinet.
Wait what, Jeremy died?
"Oho, do not worry about the price, my friend. Put it on my tab, for now. I'll be able to more than pay you back, in time." Arthur drinks the White-Gold Tower down in one, letting the bubbly drink settle nicely in his stomach. He looks to his watch, and suddenly jumps up. "Speaking of time, I must be off! I'll be back to pay later." Arthur slinks away, to parts unknown.
((Doomevil gave me permission to make a flashback post, the thoughts of Jeremy)) "Arthur...I am terrified." Jeremy said. *Clink* "But...I have a plan." *Clink* "And you will be the major role in this plan." *Clink* "What I am about to ask you, is insane." *BANG*
I sincerely hope this idiotic plan goes off right. EDIT Aaaannnnddd it didn't. Why doesn't anyone listen to the space bug chief engineer again?
"Gunfire detected." Lion rose up from his desk. "Let's hope that Bruta ended up with a hole in his head." He moved to the weapon rack closest to him and grabbed a rifle, just in case things would get ugly again. "Dolosus, I'm heading down." As the elevator doors opened Lion stepped out and went for the hangar. When the entrance doors to the hangar opened he froze. "No..."
"I would like a drink with caffeine," Yanim says, "anything is okay." She introduces herself to Zach and Arthur. The former seems helpful and unassuming, while the latter is obnoxious and intrusive. "Arthur, you are geneticist. My people are very good with that." With a smug demeanor, Yanim retrieved her translator and spoke quickly into it. Soon, the little device translated her exact statement: "All kanad highbloods are conceived in vitro using a device which controls for undesirable traits with the help of a large scale and comprehensive genetic database." "We can even take gene from other species," she adds. "Too bad humans cannot come to visit, he would learn a lot, yes?" She smiled disingenuously. Soon after, Arthur received his drink, totally unfazed by Yanim's banter. He quickly paid for his drink and left. Suddenly, a chill ran down Yanim's spine as if something bad was about to happen.
The era of Jeremy has come to an end..... But, this is just the beginning. He then rushed out from under the table, and knocked over Bruta, he then grabbed his gun from his pocket and shot Bruta in the head. He then grabbed his knife and cut his head of. He then carried the head into the Bridge and made the head captain hold it infront of his face, and made him call off the forces, acting as Bruta. The Pirates retreated, leaving the ship alone. The man then walked across to the Mess Hall and saw Lion. "Let's go back." He said. The two men then walked to the bar. "Kr, I told you it would work." Jeremy said.
Kr'fernir monitors the idiotic captain's death through security cameras and his privileges as chief engineer of the ship. Just like he thought, the bufoon failed miserably. Kr executes his plan from one of the chairs in the Mess Hall. The robot he'd ordered into the depressurized airlock facing the pirate ship throws the bomb in its hydraulic clamps. The bomb drifts to a point where it detonates and blinds the enemy's sensors. The ship then goes into Silent Running and begins its escape toward the nearest gas cloud or asteroid belt. "Idiotic soft-skin."
Arthur appeared behind Jeremy, evidently trailing the bold captain. "My friend! I'm very glad your plan worked. Your request was an interesting one, that's for sure." Arthur laughed, and slapped Jeremy on the back.
"A caffeinated beverage, eh?", Dwan says, as he pours her a glass of caffeinated cola. "Here you are.", Dwan says, having overheard Yanim's one-sided conversation with Arthur. "Don't worry, he seems preoccupied with something.", he tells Yanim, reassuring her that, under a different atmosphere, he would've listened. "The monitor here isn't showing the hangar bay, guessing the cameras were turned off.", Dwan says, worried over Jeremy. He then notices him, Lion and Arthur entering the bar. "Captain!", Dwan exclaimed.
The captain entered the bar, blood still welling from the hole in his head. "Vok d'akha?!" Yanim shouted at the alarming sight. Unwittingly, she had pressed the button on her translator moments earlier so she could continue talking to Dwan, which echoed in it's characteristic deadpan: "What in the fuck?"
"Captain, you died. So I executed my plan. We are currently burning away from the enemy ship toward a safe point in space."
"Damnit Kr, I told you I had it covered....Just wasted a bunch of resources." Jeremy said. "Arthur, Please tell me this side effect will wear off." Jeremy said while pointing to the hole in his head.

Name: Varn Merner Picture(optional):http://i.imgur.com/bUOuKfY.jpg?1?4120 Date Of Birth:25,march, 2355 Crew Profession:Enforcer Race:Unknown Biography: Varn is a member of the "Boome marines" mercenary unit. The same unit who are controversial, not because of some dark deeds or hidden secrets, but rather because they happen to be incompetent half the time and extremely lucky the other half, that and the fact that their scientists love to experiment with chems. Because of their armor nobody is sure if they are humans, cyborgs, aliens or clones of one person. The merc was hired to help securedy as a part of a deal his bosses managed to work out, the details are still unknown to him. He was meant to join the rest of the crew on board of the Archius XI, but couldn't make it due to him getting blackout drunk the night before the launch. The resent commotion woke him up in the archives for some reason and to his horror he realized he will probably make a bad first impression to his crew-mates and probably hinder his secondary objective- Spread the good word of the Boome marines throughout the galaxy.
"Okay, you guys deserve to know. When I went down to get healed up by Arthur, I got him to take a sample of me so he would clone me. The Clone Jeremy was sent up to the Bridge to contact Bruta, I think Kr was there, the memories are starting to merge..darn side effects, anyway once that happened and he was contacted, Clone Jeremy setup everything in the Hangar, of course I went to the Hangar before hand so I could go underneath the table. Once I was under the table, two things could happen, Clone Jeremy dies and I kill Bruta, or Bruta dies and we would be stuck with two Jeremy's. Of course I had a backup in the latter did happen, I would put him in cyrostasis in case I died. Anyway, this hole in my head, it's a side effect. It doesn't hurt but, I assume it's not good to have a open hole." Jeremy explained to the crew. [editline]29th March 2015[/editline] "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" Jeremy asked.
Dwan's relieved that the Captain has survived, albeit in a odd fashion. "Would you like a drink, captain?", Dwan offers, as he looks at the Captain arguing with the guy he gave Terran seawater to earlier.
Arthur scowled at Kr, angry at the alien's brash idiocy. "You utter, utter moron! Not only did you almost ruin the plan, you almost destroyed our prize! You should be reprimanded immediately. Maybe if you weren't such an angry piece of shit towards your CAPTAIN, then he would of let you in on the plans. Nice going." He turned to the captain, his scowl turning into a warm smile in a second. "Don't worry, captain. The hole in the head is merely a flesh wound, even less so then that. You see, your clone was connected to you, given that you both share the exact same genetic makeup. A bit like a more complicated version of Siamese twins. It's difficult to explain completely, but all you need to worry about is that Joseph can patch you up in a heartbeat." Arthur's face became sullen. "There is still the matter of our prize. We must turn this ship around immediately, and take the pirates by force if we are to profit from this at all."
