Dwan realizes that he's sitting next to the Master Chef. "Oh thank you, the food is great.", Dwan tells Osto.
"The Mundie pizza is great, though it is more like a Beef Wellington with Mundie meat, cheese and sauce than a pizza. But I blame the name, not you.", Dwan says, saying his thoughts on the food. "The Fredmunchies are interesting, they have a very unique taste to them. I bet it's love.", Dwan comments, as he's eating the savory food before chowing down on the sweets.
"My name is Dwan Theidrum, I work at the bar on this floor. What's your name?", he asks Osto.
"Thank you, I do my best to make every meal the best someone's ever had" He said with the same smile like expression on his face,
"My name is Otso Rottal, It's nice to meet you"
He said extending a blue hand
The ship's resident food critic decided to do his job and judge the food on offer in the mess hall.
He sat down opposite Otso and Dwan across the table with much of the high calorie, fatty food on offer. You are the chef, yes? Where is the caviar, the soup, les escargots? All I see on offer is this common people filth. A man must eat though, yes?
François takes his knife and fork and begins cutting up his pizza, curling his lip as he notices he is being stared at piercingly.
Dwan extends his hand and shakes Otso's hand. "Please to meet you.", he says.
"Guessing you made the Mundie Pizza special today, considering from what I heard, they're usually like calzones and not like a Wellington.", Dwan comments.
"That's right Dwan, just like mama used to make" Otso said happily before turning his attention to the unpleasant man. "I only make what Is available on the ship, sir" Otso said wrinkles his hat in his hand looking sad.
"I'm afraid we just don't have the money for all that fancy food". He said still looking sad
"If you don't like the Pizza I-I'm sure I can go back and find you something you'd like" He said starting to stumble upon his words.
Kr'fernir retires to his living space. His new underling seems capable and competent which pleases him. He enters sleep gratefully under his UV lamp.
"My work is done!" Arthur exclaimed, as he wheeled Jeremy out from Joseph's surgery. He glanced upon his patient's face, good as new and smooth as a baby's ass. Suppressing the urge to sign his work with a kiss, Arthur gave Jeremy anything he had put down, and shuffled him out of the lab.
"I'll be ready to bring Bruta out when we've reached Rigel. Until then, I'm going to catch some sleep." Arthur said, before turning to the direction of the living quarters.
Jordon woke up lying in a bed in the Medical Lab. He noticed there was bandaged around his leg, he lifted them up and looked under them. The previous wound had been stitched up, Jordon slowly removed the bandage the got out of the bed.
He then walked next door into the Science lab where he found his equipment, he left it and then went to the bar.
Going to be out of the thread in a while, have fun in Rigel. Here's a small lore cutscene behind HarkArk.
A dark and very silent room appeared as well as a gentleman that wore a black and red suit, gloves, and a ballistic mask. A cybernetic eye moved as he turned, facing towards glass as he watched construction around the space station behind. Transparent HUD screens were around the office.
He pulled his hands out of his side pockets, coughing a bit as he adjusted his black tie. "With all due respect gentlemen I believe there's no worry about Archius XI's journey towards here. The Oracle's Orb will be delivered shortly before you say where exactly are they?" He gestured.
"Regardless Harken Saw, we are very aware of multiple organizations out to initiate corporate warfare on HarkArk." A shadow figure appeared along with others on floating screens.
"Such as?" Harken Saw turned. "The Crimson Son?" One figure said.
"Crimson Son are a bunch of leather wearing Illuminati forces." Harken added.
"The Hiscan Guard?" Another figure said.
"Those funky mercenaries who are too desperate for attention? Please." The businessman said as he poured himself a fine wine drink.
"The TriEnterprise? Nevertheless these businesses will eventually come for us. There must be swift action Harken Saw."
Harken Saw stared straight at the screen, a glass in hand as he made sure he wouldn't forget this.
"Trust me, they'll get there." Harken stated.
From the ships radio comes a calm and bored voice.

Name: Jeb Jackson
Profession: Morale specialist
Race: human
Age: 57
Hailing from the rural American South, Jeb Jackson assumed that his dream of becoming a race car driver at the age of 18 would be quite simple. What he didn't realize was that a malfunctioning fuel intake, a lit match, and a roaming hampster would lead to an early injury laden crash before the green flag ever flew. From the trauma of the crash and the resulting string of failures that the incident caused, Jeb attempts to console himself by helping people with their problems. To this day, however, seeing a match or a hampster still causes flashbacks.
Jeb is an amicable person who is best described as a mixture between Mr. Rogers and Jimmy Gibbs. Jr.
[Just so you know there isn't a profession called Morale Specialist the professions you can select are in the OP]
[Just so you know there isn't a profession called Morale Specialist the professions you can select are in the OP]
He could be a moral officer or a counselor for the crew. A kind of psychologist dedicated to helping the crew function by helping them synergize and cooperate.
[Fair enough I guess, though I just updated the OP so I'll just add that job later.]
"Ooo! Free food!" Joseph exclaimed as he entered the mess hall.
"Also, captain. May I have permission to do some experiments on one of our freshly captured test subjects?"
Lion fired the rifle. A salvo of kinetic rounds hit the target, penetrating its shields.
"Hits?"
A scanner drone lit up the target, marking the holes made by the rounds in a red color. No shot had missed.
Lion activated the safety and put back the rifle on the deployment table.
"Just some finishing touches left then before the crew gets their weapons." He brought out a can of spraypaint.
After finishing his food Varn, went on to do his rounds. He didn't realize that the ship was so big. It seemed smaller, when looking at his map. After a trip around the ship he went back to the security room to sleep.
Dolosus came through the armoury on his way to the mess hall.
"Looking good, Lion. Whole crew has already found out I'm a terrible shot, but I feel more confident when I see these scary-ass guns you've got here."
Lion finished calibrating a rather long assault rifle before replying to Dolosus.
"I'm glad you said that. Infact, one of these guns are yours. I'll gather the crew and distribute guns in a few hours when they're all done."
Lion then moved on to the next weapon, a small carbine weapon.
Her analyses of the ongoing processes of the fusion core finally complete, Yanim sighed in satisfaction as she compiled the results into a maintenance docket and a maintenance schedule. Now, instead of repair and maintenance droids attending to the engine's needs on a case-by-case basis, they would follow a strict regimen of preventative maintenance, inspection, and cyclical testing, and the results would be conveyed in a standardized format.
Yanim requested the console to relay all reactor performance indicators to her tablet, and requested the same of the docket/schedule subprogram results. This means, regardless of her position on the ship, she would have access to fully-accurate and current data on the engine's condition and performance. In other words, she wasn't actually leaving her console at all.
Satisfied with the tablet's readout, she signed herself out and exited the engine room, bound for her quarters where she might get a little bit of rest. An alarm would wake her if anything were to go wrong, nonetheless. She had skipped dinner and lost sleep, but it was worth it to have peace of mind. The crew would be reaching Rigel soon, and she looked forward to meeting the new crew members.
"Uuhh.." Jeremy Moaned as he woke up from Surgery.
He walked over to a mirror to examine Arthur's work.
"Not bad...Very good indeed." Jeremy said.
He then walked to the Bridge, he saw that they arrived at Rigel and just as he was about to make an Announcement a transmission came through.
From the ships radio comes a calm and bored voice.
"Hello? Is this transmission working? Is Iska here, waiting for you quite some time, just like contractor told me to. Iska have all her bags packed and ready. Come find Iska in dockingstation cantina."
"Yes, the Transmission is working, I am Jeremy SpaceHawk, the Captain of this fine ship, though you probably already knew that" Jeremy said.
"Just give us a bit and we will pick you up, I just got out of Surgery for...reasons, but it wasn't too intense so I'd say around an hour or two." Jeremy said.
"I have to do some stuff so I'll see you in a few hours."
The transmission then ended.
Jeremy then walked to the Announcement Microphone ((I realized I was using Speaker, my bad)) and made an announcement.
"Good news everyone, I am awake from Surgery and the Surgery went well, we arrived at Rigel so in an hour or two we will be going to the Dockingstation in Cantina to pick up Iska, and we will be doing other things probably. Since I am awake, Kr, you aren't the Captain anymore, but seeing how you did well while I was asleep, I might consider having you a Vice-Captain..or something." Jeremy said.
"Well that is all, I am going to the Mess Hall so if you have any requests or something just let me know."
Jeremy then put down the Microphone and walked to the Mess Hall.
He was about to order some food, but he saw that the food was free.
"Ah, free food, you know exactly how I like my food Osto." Jeremy said with a laugh.
"So what did I miss?" Jeremy asked.
"Ooo! Free food!" Joseph exclaimed as he entered the mess hall.
"Also, captain. May I have permission to do some experiments on one of our freshly captured test subjects?"
"I'd prefer if you could wait till we have Clones." Jeremy said.
He then bit down into his Chicken Sandwich.
"Fuck, this is fantastic Osto, you out did yourself this time." Jeremy said.
"But I could clone people too!" Joseph exclaimed as he bite into his bratwurst.
"I need ze test subjects!"
"But I could clone people too!" Joseph exclaimed as he bite into his bratwurst.
"I need ze test subjects!"
"Well if you can clone them, go clone the one Sleeping in the Bridge....I am starting to think it's dead or in a Coma considering it's still sleeping, let me know if it's alive as well." Jeremy said.
"Thank you Jeremy." Otso said with a smile full of glee. "Its the love your tasteing, its the love"
"Well if you can clone them, go clone the one Sleeping in the Bridge....I am starting to think it's dead or in a Coma considering it's still sleeping, let me know if it's alive as well." Jeremy said.
"Very vell! I shall clone some fresh new test subjects!" Joseph exclaimed with glee as he ran out of the mess hall and towards the Bridge.
As Joseph thought about all the test he could do with a fresh new guinea pig, he smiled thinking about all the things he could do.
"What if I remove the heart, put in a mega baboon's instead? Or I could remove the entire skeleton- no I've done that already. Maybe cut the head of and keep it alive as a trophy? Nah, I've done that with a spy once. Hmm, what to do, what to do?"
Joseph kept pondering as he entered the Bridge, only to find that the pirate had awoke.
"Oh zis is not gud, I can't have an awake test subject for the procedure." Joseph said as he set his stun gun to 'knockout'.
((Doomevil, write some dialogue for the pirate sleeping in the bridge if you would))
Varn woke up and did his stretching exercise."I better see if the captain is on the Bridge, I still have some things to clear up before I can continue with this job in piece."
He grabbed a baton, a tranc gun and made his way up to the Bridge.
"Who the hell are you?" The awoken pirate asked, trying to be very far away from the Doctor.
"I am zee doctor of zee ship, you might've heard about me regarding an incident involving a patient and his skeleton."
