As both attempts to locate the kanad ship failed, Lion put the ship defenses in sentry mode. He then marked all of the onboard kanad invaders to appear on crewmember HUDs, after that he disconnected from the charging station. As Lion walked off from the charging station, he dragged out the box labeled "Cleaning Equipment". He opened up the cardboard top to reveal the metal box inside of it which he then opened too. The small container opened up to reveal the five aces of the Archius crew. Lion grabbed the Peacemaker and turned off the safety. He looked into the box once more at the black orb before shaking his head, quickly closing up the metal container. Lion rose up and unlocked the door before walking out into the main armory area. He spotted the retreating kanads and stopped walking before releasing a hail of kinetic projectiles at them.
Pippin whistled as he fiddled with his computer. Nothing much was happening.
[What do you mean "nothing much was happening"? We're being invaded Pippin! :v:]
With Sledge's help, Dwan broke free from the Blackjackets' hold on him. He grabbed Andrast off the floor and rolled forward to gain distance. He puts Andrast back in its holster and grabs the Bellevue Ancaria out of its holster. He aims at the Blackjackets and fires.
Varn looked and aimed at the leader of the shield wall. His death should sow some chaos in the ranks.
Mini Roll[2]: The Leader proceeded forward, as well as his shield goons. He had to condense his wave after one of his men died, he looked for an opening finding the merc exposed during the right moment. The head Kanad fired, piercing through his shoulder where he got stabbed. He launched two volleys from the Peacemaker, the shield wave was utterly annihilated, bones and blood splatters into puddles. No one was left alive. He didn't even see their shadows. Instead, he pulls out his laser revolver, firing to the nearest drunk Blackjacket. He pulled the trigger and splattered the man's head off, flying across the tables.
Dwan fires at the two remaining drunk Blackjackets, specifically the unnamed one. He wanted Rask alive.
Vorokar was beginning to recognize that he had totally lost control over the ship. He had requested status reports from each of his subordinates, but only Rask replied- demanding reinforcements for a fight he was clearly losing. The comm wouldn't even connect to Myrno- as if the latter's communicator had been physically destroyed. It was clearly time to abandon the mission. Moreover, Vorokar hadn't found anything related to the Oracle in the Archius' cargo hold. He had expected to receive the captain there, where he planned to extract more information through torture if necessary, but with Spacehawk having escaped his grasp it was becoming more apparent that the only information he would get from this mission would come from the data skimmed from the archives. Data which had already been transmitted back to the Trojan cargo ship, now his intended escape vehicle. Vorokar had no reason to remain aboard. He and his troops entered the hall, unsure of where they would find resistance or how strong said resistance would be. They met a grim warning as they found Myrno's remains. The fighting grew louder as they neared the lift; unbeknownst to them, a trio of blackjackets were about to die in order to secure him an elevator ride, about to be cut down by Lion's peacemaker. His retreat became a route as he and his remaining four assistants began to smell death in the air. As soon as they stepped out of the lift, the doors closed behind them and the elevator began to climb. Not waiting to find out whether friend or foe was following him down, Vorokar pushed his men to hurry toward the hangar bay, toward safety. There was only one problem- one big problem. The tank which they had "captured" along with the ship was now activated remotely, and was currently pinning them down in the hall just outside the medical lab. --- Rask and his only remaining subordinate had just witnessed a man get his head blown off. Bits of brain matter spattered across the Lieutenants goggles; it was too much to handle. He dropped his weapon and threw his hands in the air, begging for mercy. His associate quickly followed suit, digging the money Sledge had given him in the market out of his pockets and offering it up pathetically.
Right before he fires, Rask and his only remaining subordinate gave up. They begged for mercy, even trying to return Sledge his money. But he wouldn't be up for that. Dwan grabbed Andrast once more and blew the brains of the unnamed associate with its last shot. "Rask, was it?", Dwan asked. He holstered Andrast again and aimed his revolver at Rask. "I'll make sure you get your comeuppance.", he told Rask as he made sure he didn't do any funny business.
(I'm saying he's sleeping or something, sorry, I saw there were over a hundred new posts and I got overwhelmed.)
Iska was temporarily blinded by the light that evaporated the remaining blackjackets. After regaining he sight she scanned the room, noticing the utter destruction that the peacemaker had unleashed. She looked at Lion with a smile, "Lion must let Iska try that sometime", she uttered with glee. Iska got up and headed to the security room, "Lion take care of Varn, Iska will check on captain and Yanim." As she entered the room she noticed that Yanim laid bruised and wounded on the floor and that Jeremy was holding Damya at gunpoint. Iska grabbed her collar and lifted Damya against the wall with one hand, looking with great fury into her goggles. Iska turned to Jeremy and Yanim, "What you want with this shtuka?" she asked with an almost maniacal grin.
(I'm saying he's sleeping or something, sorry, I saw there were over a hundred new posts and I got overwhelmed.)
Recap: While at Termina Central, Harken Saw told us where to find the remaining pieces of the Oracle. After leaving we stopped at a space station called Hanza Fuel Farms. The State Security guys who were following us ambushed us by simultaneously boarding the station aboard a "Trojan cargo craft" and locking onto the Archius using a stealth ship called the Perikal. The crew surrendered, and the kanads basically trashed the ship looking for info and materials related to the Oracle (and anything else they felt like taking.) Then, a ship from the Golden Wave which has also been searching for us intruded on the operation, causing the Perikal to investigate/chase them off. Once they stopped pointing their guns at our ship, our crew began to fight back, and has nearly chased them off the ship. Unfortunately, the kanads have placed a bomb on the station with a timed fuse to "stand in" for the Perikal, which our crew is still not aware of. During the fighting, our main enemy Colonel Vorokar's first officer, Major Myrno, has been killed, and his two Lieutenants, Rask and Damya, have been captured. Numerous crewmembers have been injured and Yanim was nearly killed.
[Pippin must be able to sleep through an atomic bomb if all the commotion didn't wake him up :v:] Varn gripped his left shoulder. That last round really hit somewhere where it shouldn't. The only thing he could feel was the bullet lodged inside. He was lucky though. The peacemaker obliterated the blackjackets before they could make the move to finish him off. Varn picked himself up, clutching his shoulder. "Lion take care of Varn, Iska will check on captain and Yanim." Varn looked at Lion. "No need. I'll be fine. You go see how they're doing. There's a med kit in the security room. From there I will be able track down the bastards before they escape." He picked up a handgun from the armory rushed inside the security room. He sat in front the monitors, scanning for the Major. "The major and a few of his men are currently pinned near the Medbay." Varn opened the med kit. Time for some battlefield surgery.
(( Don't worry Sledge slept through it too. )) Sledge gestured to Rask with the end of his hammer. "Hey Dwan, you want me to smash-- I mean tie him up or something?"
"Yeah, tie him up.", Dwan said, as he grabbed a chair for Rask to sit on.
Sledge dug through the pantry trying to find some rope. The best he found was a large ball of twine. It was surprisingly effective. Just for good measure Sledge wrapped Rask a couple more times than he thought was necessary. At one point the Kanad started mouthing off so Sledge pulled the whole restraint much tighter. "Shut your trap or I'll crush your body like a tin can!" He grabbed a nearby onion and jammed it in Rask's mouth to keep him quiet. "So, Dwan, what's our next move?"
A piece from one of the kanad shields was all that was left on the floor. Lion entered a slightly more relaxed stance as he looked back to check on his crewmates who were currently coming out of cover. He received a devilish smile from Iska. "Lion must let Iska try that sometime." Lion chuckled in response. "I'll keep that in mind next time we're cornered by bad guys." As Varn convinced Lion that he didn't need anyone to cover his back, he nodded. "Ten-four." Lion opened up the vents of the Peacemaker briefly, allowing it to cool down for a moment before heading down. Lion exited the elevator he jogged towards the hangar. He spotted the colonel and the remaining blackjacktes huddling down inside the medbay, they must've retreated from the hangar after spotting the two autmotaed vehicles inside the main hangar area thought Lion. He took cover next to a medical box and glanced over it, getting a view of all the kanads. The blackjackets looked scared and tired while the colonel appeared to be moments away from going into shock. Lion slowly rose up and aimed at the kanads as the Peacemaker powered up. "[It's over colonel, stand down.]" He said in kanad as the gun began to emit a faint orange light.
Dwan barely heard Sledge's question, as he looked at Rask in intense hatred. "Oh... Our next move, yes...", Dwan stuttered, as he wondered what they should do next. "Well, one of us has to go and help the others, while the other stays here and watches this bastard.", he said. "So, which position do you want?", Dwan asked slyly.
Arthur easily went to the hangar, pulling out a gun of himself after stabilizing Yanim. Giving her to Joseph. He looked over to the robot. "Don't think this is your fight as well, friend. Someone messes with Yanim and I'll personally deliver their corpse to the funerals." He remarked.

"So, which position do you want?", Dwan asked slyly.
"I've got an idea actually," said Sledge as he picked up Rask, chair and all. He walked over to the nearest pantry and found a way to cram him onto the bottom shelf. He then slid the pantry door closed and locked it. "There ya go, now we can both fight!"
Dwan laughed as Sledge shoved the bastard in the pantry. "Alright then, lead the way, hammer wielder!", Dwan said.
"Alright, I'm thinking we should head to the armory. I think that's where they took Varn."
Vorokar wasn't sure exactly how it happened, but despite the Archius crew being outnumbered and unarmed, they still managed to overwhelm his agents. When Lion stepped out with the Peacemaker ready to fire, it was as if the last door had just slammed shut. "[Fine... kill me you bastard,]" he spat. "[kill everyone on the station while you're at it. We've planted a bomb just for the occasion and only I can deactivate it. So please, pull that trigger and show everyone what a hero you are. I'm sure it'd be a delightful little scene.]" --- Damya couldn't help but grin at the Khergian. "[Blood begets blood,]" she said with a sneer. "[You'll see.]"
Iska raised her head back to headbutt the lieutenant, but stop. A evil smile flashed across her face when she remembered something Yanim had explained earlier. She fished out a cigarette from her pack and lit it. Looking into Damyas eyes, she lifted up her goggles and blew smoke right into her face, then closing the goggle while some smoke lingered. She then let Damya go out of her grip, but she was practically blind, and she stumbled and fell. Damya rolled on the floor cursing Iska and all her forefathers, but Iska couldn't understand so she sat down to smoke the rest of her cig in peace.
Lion slowly walked forward. "[Enough people have died colonel, you've lost. Now put down your weapons, should you comply I'm willing to let you and the rest of your surviving men walk free. No bullshitting.]"
The blackjackets remained steady, despite the inevitable. They were surprised when Vorokar took a long sigh, removing his rifle and placing it on the ground. "[Well, Mr. Lion, it seems you were right about something.]" As they began to follow suit, the Colonel suddenly straightened up, having un-holstered his sidearm while doubled over. Gripping it with two hands, he jammed it up under his jaw. "This is going to hurt, isn't it?" He sneered. He died. The others crowded around him, overwhelmed with the shock of the moment- their leader was dead. Now who would disarm the bomb!?
Lion was not surprised as the colonel took his own life, however he had hoped to avoid it. "[Drop your weapons now and I'll let the rest of you go back to your ship. If you want the colonel's body then be my guest.]" While keeping both eyes on the blackjackets, Lion opened up the crew channel. "The colonel is KIA, I'm giving the remaining blackjackets a chance to go back to their ship should they lay down their weapons however we got a bigger problem: they've planted a bomb on the station and I'm unsure if the soldiers guarding it will give up."
As Sledge and Dwan rushed to the armory to find the others, they received Lion's message. Dwan sent a reply. "Lion, I will not allow Lieutenant Rask to leave this ship. He defiled my bar! He deserves to be sent to the Brig!", he said in his reply.
Lion replied. "Convince him to tell us how to disarm the bomb before you throw him in there."
Dwan stood still when Lion's reply arrived. "Sledge, you go to the others. I'll go back to Rask and try to do Lion's request.", he said before he ran back to the mess hall. Arriving back at the mess hall, Dwan found the pantry Rask was shoved in. Opening it showed Rask freaked out as ever, still tied up to a chair with a onion in his mouth. He pulled the onion out of Rask's mouth and asked if he knew how to disarm the bomb. If he did know, Dwan would attempt to convince him to tell him how to disarm the bomb.
"Keh! The Colonel's dead, huh?" Rask shook his head at the news. "The Major must be dead too, or you wouldn't be asking me. Well I'd give ya anything I know, but Vorokar told me duztshnka about the bomb. Maybe Lieutenant Damya knows what to do, but good luck getting it out of her."
