Dwan did as Lion said.
As Dwan covered his ears, Lion shouldered the Peacemaker before twisting the top of the grenade. The grenade began emitting a rather strong blue light untill Lion smashed it into the floor, releasing a intense subsonic sound. Almost immeadiately, all the hostages fell asleep. Lion motioned for Dwan to uncover his ears. "Now do your thing." He then opened up the comms. "We're gonna try something with the bomb, I need the rest of you to stay at the ship and seal up the hangar door just incase."
"Thank you, Lion. Time to get my h'ragna on!", Dwan said as he activated his caldiur. As the cosmetic blue flame engulfed his left hand, he did a few stretches, mostly for his arms. With his left hand open, he aimed it at the bomb. His eyes changed color to a very noticeable black, matching the color of his pupils. Dwan began to breath slowly, as a small blue flame, identical to the one on his hand, popped up in front of the bomb. "Before I can open a portal, a circle or oval formation formed by small flames has to appear first. This can take up to a minute.", Dwan said. "Lion, drag the hostages to the outside in case something goes wrong with the bomb.", he told him.
"On it." Lion began dragging away the hostages from the bomb, two at a time. After a few minutes they were all behind various carts, crates and smaller boxes which Lion had stacked hastily to shield them from the bomb, even if it wouldn't logically work. Lion then returned and obvserved Dwan as he worked his caldiur.
As Lion returned, the flame formation was almost complete. Finally, it was done. A full oval formation surrounding the bomb. Dwan concentrated for a moment, as he thought to himself where the bomb should go. He then makes up his mind and clenched his left hand into a fist. This causes the portal to open, looking blue and resembling a Stargate. The bomb begins sinking into the portal, as there was no force added to the bomb to allow a swift transport. "Let's hope it sinks in time.", Dwan commented.
Lion was in awe but stayed silent as he didn't want to mess anything up. While watching, Lion downloaded the live surveillance footage from the station cameras directly into his secured office computer. He planned to download all the footage from the battle and leave everything but the bomb segment on the station databanks. Lion had made a promise to Dwan, a promise he intended to hold.
As the bomb sinks into the portal, a thought popped into Dwan's head. "Lion, could you calculate the distance the bomb's explosion would make us fly in? I could make a portal in the spot we would fly into.", Dwan asked Lion.
Confused, Lion nodded and calculated the travel distance to be a few feet from where they were currently standing. A laser marker folded out and marked a certain spot. "There."
Dwan pointed at the area and started making another portal. After a bit of time, the formation is made and the portal opens. Noticing Lion's confusion, Dwan decides to give him some wisdom. "Lion, I've been in numerous life-threatening situations in my life so far. If there is anything I know better, it is to survive them.", he told him. "And we have a 50/50 chance here.", he tells him as he looks at the clock.
"I trust your word, what about the civilians though?" Lion stepped closer to Dwan so that they could move as one, should it be needed.
"I don't know, Lion. I don't know.", Dwan said to Lion, looking into his eyes and grabbing his hand.
Life and death. The Universe's greatest mysteries. Neither Dwan or Lion were sure if this would work. But in the end, isn't that the thought that counts? They risked tooth and neck, but they still trimuphed through many obstacles. Dwan nodded to Lion, and Lion nodded to Dwan. The clock ticked as the bomb was sinking through the portal. But even heroes have defeats. The bomb's timer immediately went to zero, Dwan widened his eyes, changing eye color in the process. The bomb unleashed the contents of what a bomb was meant to be, destruction and chaos. The shockwave increased through its path, ensuring no man could survive such concept, as its power could be felt in two universes. Dwan tightened his grip on Lion's hand and could feel the explosion push him with all force. With Dwan's power slightly diminished because of the explosion destroying the portal it was sinking in, he concentrated all his power to keep the escape portal up. As they flew to the portal, Dwan grabbed Lion mid-air as they flew into it. The portal closes as they go through it. The station shattered as the explosion did the job what the State Security meant to do. The destruction took every live on that station no matter what. Pieces of debris collided together as space took its course on destroyed structures. ... 1
[Despite surviving the explosion by going through the escape portal, Dwan and Lion cannot return to the universe anymore. Besides the obvious gameplay reasons why they can't return, one of Dwan's personal policies is that he doesn't return to universes where it looked like he died. As such, Dwan and Lion are dead in this universe. Consider them killed off "for real". However, Doom has allowed them to be "spectators", never able to interfere in the game. So, this isn't the last time you folks will see them. Just don't expect interaction.]
[Well fuck...]
Dwan excuses himself and leaves the armory, heading to the station market.
No one was sure where Dwan was going when he excused himself from the Armory. No one had asked. Dwan was the sort of man who always seemed to appear no worse for wear, whose eccentricities distanced him from mortal dangers despite his constant appearances at the side of his crew as they faced obstacle after bloody obstacle. Perhaps they assumed he would return to his beloved bar and begin to process of restoring it, so that on the following day the crew would be able to drink and laugh about the fears which had come and gone. Even as he passed through the medical hall of the Archius where the doctors dealt with the influx of the dead and the dying, not one stopped or questioned him as he continued on toward the doomed station. Something in his eyes told them not to ask.
"We're gonna try something with the bomb, I need the rest of you to stay at the ship and seal up the hangar door just incase."
This was the last transmission anyone received from Lion. There was a vague sense of understatement, especially given the tone of the soldier's voice, and yet a reassuring confidence backing it which reminded everyone that Lion was a man who had always walked the fine line between peace and chaos, life and death, the storied past and an uncertain future. Over 40 days he had been a backbone on which the crew could rely to charge selflessly into darkness. Not one person aboard the Archius who heard those final words had any doubt that Lion would return. His metallic body and iron will had faced challenges which no one else could make a claim at. He was larger than life, and in his death his legacy would only grow further. ... As requested, the hangar doors were closed. Jeremy was on the communicator, trying to gain a sense of what damages had been done, who all had been wounded, and what would need to be done to get the ship moving again. Surely the bomb would be dealt with. Surely they would soon be running from the Perikal, and they would escape in the nick of time; it was the habit of this crew to avoid the falling axes of the world and catch the lightning bolts hurled down from above. The bomb wouldn't go off. Not when Lion would deal with it. Not while Dwan was still on the station. There was a force which slammed into their chests so swiftly that they barely had time to register that something was happening before the thunderous boom hit their ears. To observers far away on the Perikal, a cone of light erupted through the upper half of the station just momentarily, its flames unsustainable in the vacuum. It did not occur to them that this shape would not have been possible without the presence of Dwan's portal underneath, preventing the full blast from swallowing the Archius as well. Nonetheless, the jolt and the violence of the explosion knocked every crewmember aboard the Archius from their feet. Gravity weakened to a third of its power as the reactor core shut down most of its damaged generators. The lights went out. Computers ceased working. Air was leaking from the maintenance tunnels. A machine which was feeding artificial blood into Yanim's veins stopped pumping. Arthur's mind couldn't bear to speculate on the cause or the consequence of the blast as he watched the medical bay fall into a panic. Rising to the occasion, his commanding voice demanded order and professional discipline. With Joseph's help, the work continued, uninterrupted by the mounting complications. As Arthur took over the job of replenishing the chief engineer's blood supply, he gently squeezed her hand with no intent but to communicate reassurance. As he did, she also squeezed back, and he blinked back tears as he realized he needed it. "Apryt Kommi," he remembered. A few vindictive cheers echoed through the bridge of the Perikal as Captain Auri's mouth hung open, horrified of the destruction his own hand had helped unleash. Was their mission not a "fact finding" one? He removed his spotless white cap and wondered about the innocents involved in the operation, and even about the Archius crew. Were they so dangerous to the future of the Collective state that these methods must be the response? He left the bridge and placed his first officer in control of the helm. The latter began to establish communications with their Trojan cargo ship, where the majority of those who had rode into battle were now congratulating themselves on escaping from it. The great crash was followed by a sort of silence which transcends what is actually heard. Alarms of all type echoed in the halls of the embattled ship. Damya's cackling laughter filled the air as well, the same as Rask's terrified voice begged for answers in the Brig. There were clangs and scrapes across the surface of the vessel as hunks of the station migrated away from the gaping maw of the horrific blast, from which the lifeless and still bodies of the civilians floated upward and away like angels into the world beyond. Most of the crew heard none of these things. Each dealt with the truth in their own way as the agony set in.
Damya grinned with all the satisfaction she could muster, she chuckled at the fact that this Crew could change the course of history. "[See? What did I tell you, "heroes" never figure out the sad truth of this distasteful Galaxy.]" Jeremy widened his eyes, holding his chest together. He looked down at the floor, motionless, pretending to keep calm. He pretended to keep himself together. All of this, why. Why did it have to be the only pure good ones to die off first? He placed his hands to his face, unable to comprehend the fate Dwan and Lion endured. The moments passed by as he wept. His heart cracked, and soon so will she, even if he had to beat it out of her. "[What? Going to weep because you didn't save them? Aww...]" Damya taunted the Captain through all the pain, he took his palms from his face, staring at her with such hatred. He got off the floor, he walked forward as her smug snake expression still appeared. "[You don't have the balls honorable man. Why wou-" Damya's taunt was interrupted as he quickly kicked her face in. She spat blood towards him but she only made it worse for herself. "[Fuck you.]" Jeremy grabbed her face, tightening out of pure rage. He held on as he sneaked a dagger from the floor. He immediately jabbed the dagger through her side of the neck, coughing out blood as she widened her eyes. Jeremy took one small moment to memorize his action. There was no going back. Everything he had fought was a past, twisting the blade. Damya couldn't take the pain no longer, screaming out as her real side was forced to be revealed. Jeremy, now full force choked her into submission with both hands in place. She couldn't breath, even if she tried Jeremy wasn't going to let her. Jeremy switched places as he eyed her eyes herself. She gave some breath but wasn't so sudden as Jeremy gouging her eyes. She screamed at the top of her lungs, struggling to get out of the Captain's grasp. Jeremy bit his lips in frustration, all this pain. He took out the dagger and jammed it into her thick skull of hers. She twitched, dying of a humiliating death. He looked at Varn, a blank expression. "I want Rask dead, now."
Varn got up from the floor after the explosion had knocked him over. It took him a couple of seconds to realize what had happened. He refused to believe what had happened. It couldn't have, right? The reality of the situation quickly sank in. Damya's laughter only cemented the moment in his mind. He turned around, fury in his eyes, ready to unleash hell on her. Only to be beaten to the punch by captain Jeremy.Watching event's unfold, for the first time on this job, the mercenary felt fear. He looked at Varn, a blank expression. "I want Rask dead, now." It took Varn a second to snap out of it. "I understand sir, but he could be more useful to us alive. In order to do that I need you to authorize protocol 11. Cruel and unusual punishment."
"Fine, I'm authorizing the use of Protocol 11. Do whatever means to get information out of him. Truth serums, torture. Anything." Jeremy pointed out, He walked out of the room, only to turn slowly. "They all knew what they were in for, they don't deserve mercy."
Iska had shaken of the shock from the blast and were mearly standing by as the captain acted. As he instructed Varn to go make Rasks last moments a living hell, Iska spoke up. "Captain" she said in a firm voice while Jeremy turned his attention to her. Iska continued " What you want with this?" she asked, giving Daymas still twitching body a slight kick.
"Throw it out of the airlock. I'm done with it." Jeremy said
(( I really don't think I'm going to play anymore. I'd have to write Sledge after losing Hercules and I just realized how completely fucking impossible that's going to be for me. Even if he somehow didn't die, or I copped out and retconned him off the station, this whole turn of events just puts me off of writing for this right now. I really need to think about it. ))
The captain had instructed her to dump the body in the airlock, but she had a better idea. She picked up the unconsious blackjacket and threw him over her shoulder, while draggin Damyas corpse by the collar. she was heading to the brig. Locating Rasks cell, she opened up the door and peaked inside. "Iska here to bring you company" she said with a sniker. She threw in the live blackjacket to the side and dragged Damya infront of Rask. Damyas eyes had rolled back into her head and the knife was still sticking out of her throat. Iska dropped the body with a unsetteling fleshy thud. A little blood gushed out of the wound a small pool began to form on the floor. When she walked out she stopped in the doorway and turned to give Rask a friendly smile, "Iskas captain not happy with you" she said in a calm tone before closing the door. She returned to her room to see what kind of damage these bandits had done.

That's why we specifically avoided mentioning him during the last few scenes. In fact, I would have put him on the ship for you during one of my previous posts because you told us you wouldn't be posting... but you just told me yesterday that you didn't like people moving your character around for you! I'm sorry if you still don't feel like writing but I hope you understand that nobody would consider it weird or rude if you put Herc back on the ship.))
[Plus, you were busy Bat. Its understandable and whatever you intended to do but you couldn't due to RL can be excused.]
[Sorry to hear about it man. Sledge's antics always put a smile on my face.] "It's not information I'm after." Varn saluted the captain and left for the brig. Box and tools in hand. He passed Iska on the way in. "I suggest not sticking around. First 5 minutes are gonna be boring, then things will be...nasty." He stopped at Rask's cell. "Have you met with your neighbor next door?" He motioned to the cell still containing the Omega brother. "Did he tell you about me or did he leave it for a surprise?" Rask just gave him a confused look. Varn just grimaced at him. "Your colonel really screwed the pooch. Attacking a HarkArk ship is one thing, attacking it's crew another, but destroying a space station filled with civilians and 2 of our crew on it? That was horrible mistake number 3. I want you to remember everything I tell you. If you can recite it word for word after I'm done, your punishment will be less severe. Now open your ears and listen well. You attacked a HarkArk vessel on an important task for the man in charge. The implied repercussions are enough to damage your economy since you still trade with humanity. But that's minor compared to what follows. You see, one of our crew, who died, was a decorated war hero. You can imagine how that will affect the Sol military, if they learn that he was killed by the Blackjackets of all people. But wait, there's more. Officially, this crew has many races working together for a greater purpose. To show that we can put aside our differences and build a greater future...you know how it goes. Can you imagine how the Kanad government will look like when news like this breaks out? Oh the Council will have a field day. Now here comes the really ugly part. You see, I recently made honor guard in my organization. What does that mean? To you, nothing. To the man who put me in this position, enough to supply every terrorist cell, crime lord and insurgent in Kanad space with cloning technology. The blood of your people will be on your hands. Why am I wasting my time telling you this? Next chance we get, we will drop you off and you can find your way back home. When you are questioned about what happened, I want you to think long and hard about what you'l tell your superiors. Do you tell everything you know about us or do you say we died and you were picked up by pirates?" In reality Varn was bullshiting him, but the thoughts of the possible repercussions was enough to condition Rask's mind for what's coming next. "Now, on to why I'm here. DomeEval play track17 please." The next several hours will make Rask regret ever joining the military.
[Okay, so basically I don't know but I think the pressure has broken me. This is probably going to be the biggest cop out ever in my RP career but I am willing to let Dwan and Lion return to the depths to help the crew once again. Why? Because yes this might be a story but its also a game, and the players have the right to be satisfied. Probably going to get wailed on too. Yes the station blew up but there's honestly no reason why Dwan shouldn't help out them again, at this point the crew are fire forged companions. Besides, we're near the end of the game fuck the rules its the people who will ultimately decide. We're literally got one more arc to do, that's it. We might as well finish it off with everyone by our side. Vote Agree or Disagree. ]

(( I appreciate it, guys. I'll take it into consideration as I think about things. Thank you. ))
There was a dull hum which could be heard throughout the vessel. At first unidentified, the sound was eventually recognized as the atmospheric systems turning back on after the impact. The maintenance droids had already sealed most of the leaks and pressure across the ship was stable, far above the minimum safe level. Without Yanim's guidance, for once Kr felt inclined to do some actual work on the reactor, partially out of fear that the Black Fleet would soon attack. It wasn't long before he had managed to restart two of the fallen generators, outputting enough energy to turn the lights back on and reboot the essential flight systems, but there still wasn't enough power for warp. --- Captain Auri had returned to the bridge after seriously deliberating the events that had just unfolded. The Archius was close to being in range again. "[Sir,]" said the weapons officer, "[I recommend a TK-50 shot, at this range it should-]" "[No... don't attack,]" said the Captain. "[We didn't find what we were looking for.]" "[But sir,]" said the weapons officer, "[the Colonel obviously wanted to make sure we had reason to destroy that ship. If we do it now, there's no chance of anyone testifying against us.]" "[If we destroy them so soon after the bombing it will appear as if we knew the bombing would occur. People would question why we waited...]" In truth, the Captain was sick of State Security's tactics and only wished to distance himself from the affair. "[Besides, this whole mission has been a direct violation of galactic law.]" The communications officer turned around in his chair. "[Sir, GKVR doesn't recognize any law.]" "[Well we're not GKVR, we're the Osch Batakya, and it's time we started acting like real naval officers- all of us, myself included. I'm not ordering another shot on that vessel unless ordered to by a superior officer, and seeing as every officer above Lieutenant besides me on this mission has been either killed or captured, I don't think that's going to happen, is it?]" "[No sir!]" the bridge officers replied in unison. "[Damn straight. And don't even think about contacting HQ until we've arrived at Koda. I don't care what SS wants to do with the Archius, but I'm not going to be their trigger man today.]" ((Page 100! :toot:)
