Dwan aimed at the drones firing at them and counter-fired.
Mini Roll[6]: Dwan fired at the drones on their tail while Lion tried to maneuver his way. Dwan successfully landed shots at one, blowing it up while the others kept firing. ... Harken Saw took off his jacket and saw the mainframe at the center. He rubbed his hands together and walked up to it. "I've been waiting for this for many years. Let's see what this hub can do..." His eyes pointed downwards as he typed up code. He found one unique line marking "Harken Star."
(Hey i'm going stuck at the movies for the next several hours, viper123has control of viper till I get back.)
"Gabriel, link up with the ship's sensors." The HUD in Varns helmet gave him a better picture at the incoming drones. He continued to fire at them.
As Iska manned the rear guns she couldn't shoot the drones as they approached, but attempted to shoot into their booster exhaust as they passed by the ship.
Pippin turned the roughrider so Varn and Iska could get clear shots at the drones.
Dwan continued firing at the drones.
(I'm back so I'll just post Viper's action then and call it a night.) The drones proved to be surprising amount of agility for automated machines but their intelligence was standard of their number as they were unable land their firepower onto the hull of the Talon. Nevertheless, Viper underestimated their capabilities as they pounded the shields of Archius and wreaking havoc on the Archius's defenses, however Viper's mission was the protection of the roughrider's flank witch Viper answered by lining the Talon's targeting systems onto ones on the roughrider's tail. Viper waited an moment to to let the computer and itself to coordinated it's payload onto occupied fighters before letting it's missiles roar after the tunnel visioned fighters. --- "Command, the client's forces appeal be taking an massive toll from the prominent party's exterior defenses as Omicron's reports suggested. Their energy weapon capabilities are high more potent then expected, the weapon in question seems to be new development that Psi had gathered from their attack on target 17. Recommend we wait till our client has pulled the ace from under his sleeve as our experience with Mr. Saw in the past show that isn't this blunt and predictable, usually." Another voice echoed throughout the silent interior within one of many starships hovering over the chard and crumbling remnants of once was an large and active interstellar installation, now it was nothing but distance ashes within dark space. "Affirmative...Gather, Unite, Prepare." The robotic voice answered as starships slowly left their recent deed to rot in the darkness of deep space.
Spearheading the formation despite taking some minor damage, Lion piloted the Ranger around the remains of a small privateer frigate in close proximity to the Archius. As the rest of the squadron pushed on, so did he. Scanning for targets resulted in Lion spotting a small formation of drones heading straight for the Archius. "Heads up, enemy squadron inbound. Take them out." Lion began firing the nosegun. "Fox two!" He said as a cluster rocket was launched shortly after.
"Targets destroyed!" Virin yelled. There was scarcely any time to react as the ship suddenly rolled, the wreck of one of the drones swinging past the bow window of the ship like a shark gliding through shallow waters. Behind it, a mercenary vessel smashed by a collision with an enemy craft was leaking its heavy armaments into orbit. As another wave of drones closed in at high speed on nearby fighters, Yanim called for Rask's attention: "Those torpedoes- will they detonate?" "Neasha, roll us over!" Virin demanded as he watched the screen for Rask's target painting. The lights on the Belladonna's consoles lit up with yellow warning lights. "[I've got it, I've got it...]" Rask hissed through clenched teeth as the targeting computer picked up the small, irregular tubes which stood in the path of the drones. "I don't see it-" Virin frantically sputtered until Yanim interrupted. "There!" "Got it!" Yanim and Virin opened fire on the torpedoes in an effort to catch the drones in a chain-reaction explosion.

Iska spotted them on her view and didn't hesitate to unleash hell. She sprayed across the targets with ease, blowing them up one by one. Pippin turned the ship as Iska smiled in anticipation, removing the obstacles in their way.
Yanim and Virin opened fire on the torpedoes in an effort to catch the drones in a chain-reaction explosion.
Mini Roll[3]: In order to finish off their wave of enemies they need a plan that plan was obviously to start shooting at the torpedoes, it was similar to an old encounter on her first time fighting off pirate where she saved Joseph's life by shooting a dud grenade. They fired at the torpedoes but as they floated away from afar it was difficult to land any hit. The drones formed their formation and closed in, spraying firepower at the front, the ship shook immensely as it took damage. ... Termina Central once again, laid dormant as the battle continued. Fighters clashing with endless amount of drones. The interior of the office shook furiously, Vara made sure she grabbed on to something. The entire structure began to unveil an abundance of turrets each inch of outer metal. Termina Central began to mesh piece by piece as if its was a living thing by itself. In the years he came to this universe Harken Saw invented many gadgets, electronics, and even forms of AI. But those were all toys compared to his serious projects. He was one of the most powerful influential men for great reason. He admitted that his own reputation is shattered beyond repair, but he can do something worse. Termina Central at its core, charged to great lengths to all external systems. Glowing ominously throughout. Harken Saw took a seat and lid up a cigar. The flame rose to his mask. "Here comes the bang." Suddenly all hell went loose, Termina Central unleashed barrages of firepower from its entire structure, devastating drones out of Zeruel. Each enemy was thrashed out of the moment by the hub's defenses. It was such a sight to see that everyone could barely tell what was going on. As the drones fell in disarray the Privateers needed to act fast. "All forces, advance to the surface!"
The Belladonna's shields were able to tank most, but not all, of the firepower unleashed by the drones, and as flak raked across the starboard side rear of the ship, there was a terrible shudder which briefly stopped the hearts of the crew onboard. "Oh gods, the ship! We need to get out of here," cried Neasha as the yellow lights on the console turned an ominous red. "There's a hole in the armor; we're losing pressure!" "Don't warp! Those beams will catch us before the distortion field forms!" Yanim answered. "I'll handle the leak, keep us oriented!" Yanim ran through the main corridor to the cargo bay as the ship continued to twist and turn under Neasha's maneuvers, groaning under the stress. Through it, she needed to proceed to reach the mess hall where the leak was drawing out the air. There was so much explosive material in the storage bulkheads that it was blocking the path. Skada arrived behind her, and, in a fashion she had become accustomed to while serving on the Archius, Yanim endeavored to cross through the wall via a maintenance duct. Sliding through on her back, she was soon inside of the damaged room and could tell immediately where the problem had originated. In the center of the ceiling was a rectangular vent designed to direct airflow from the atmospheric control system into the room evenly. The tube it was connected to had obviously been damaged, and when the pressure dropped inside the tunnels above the box collapsed into the shaft and became lodged there. It was somewhat of a blessing as it was now limiting the air loss. She manually opened the door into the engineering bay using her override code and accessed the atmospheric controls, deftly closing off and redirecting air so that it would avoid the damaged tunnels. Quickly, the pressure loss alarms decreased in severity. She returned to the mess hall, and with the help of Skada, a ladder, and a sheet of scrap metal she found in the workshop, she patched over the collapsed vent to prevent any more air from escaping. "What's going on out there?" she asked through the comm, after realizing how quiet the rest of the crew had become. "Something just happened!" Neasha vaguely answered. "The drones were just wiped out!" "Well the leak is fixed now, so we can keep fighting. Any other targets?" "They're telling us to advance to the surface," Virin responded. "Well then do it already; we must be winning!"
Lion received the order and began adjusting his course. Broadcasting on a open channel to all nearby ships he began talking. "This is Ranger, all ships form up and push the target. Watch the flak and make sure all the transports get to the surface safely." Looking at his sensor screen, he noted that several other mercenary ships and even a squadron Privateer strikers formed up. "Razor Squadron, forming up. We got your six Ranger." "Good to have you Razor, split up and form up behind the Talon and Eagle. We got some heavy payload needed on the ground." Lion hooked up all the ships in the formation to a temporary battlenet using Yanim's comms package onboard Roughrider to relay the updated combat info. ----- Meanwhile the actvity was intense onboard the giant battlecruiser heading for Zeruel. "Status?" Asked the admiral as he rose up and walked up to the bridge window. "All ships are ready for combat, squadrons are on standby and marines are ready to deploy." The admiral nodded. "What's our timetable?" "Five minutes untill arrival, admiral." Replied one of the many bridge officers.
"Looks like the easy part is done. Now for the hard part." --- "Status report." Noble looked through the report. "Minor hull damage, but everyone inside seems alright. Wait no, Xavier had a piece of shrapnel pierced his shoulder. We lost two fighters in the battle, but the rest are in good fighting condition." Seth nodded his head as he heard the report. "Good. We have orders to begin landing. Whatever Saw just unleashed just devastated the CS's drones. We have to move now. And send the remaining fighters to help protect the Archius crew." --- "Ranger, this is Fenrir one. You boys have extra room in that formation?"
Iska was in awe as sh watched Saw utterly destroy the drones. Witha gapping mouth, she dropped her cigarette on the floor and stood long and well to observe the carnage and its aftermath. After a few moments she listened to the comms, which had started to discuss landing. She leaned over to the comm and conntacted the frontal compartment. "Varn want Iska to start tank?" she asked with a bit of excitement in her voice.
[Keep in mind that the tank is literally dangling outside of the ship.] "Welcome to the formation Fenrir, we need all the cover we can get." Said Lion as the formation moved towards the surface.
Pippin slowed down the roughrider and turned slowly towards the planet. 'I say again, what effect will those shields have on our ships?"
"Pippin, keep the speed steady. We need to stay in formation." Varn turned to Iska. "Let's wait until we're in the atmosphere at least."
"Okay, I'll just slam into the giant planetary shield and explode, or be disintegrated, or both..."
"We have at least 6 ships in front of us with enough distance between us for you to react." Varn said with an annoyed tone. "And we're not even at the front of the fleet."
"fine, fine" Pippin said as he maneuvered the roughrider back into position
"It makes you feel better, you'll know what the shield does once Dwan and I slam into it." Said Lion while chuckling. He turned his head. "Dwan! Be prepared to open fire on the shield." Yelled Lion.
The alarms sounded off as soldiers hurried to their posts. Auditor Sertum walked up to the main command room where thousands of screens are showing simultaneously. Victus watched the events unfold within their view. “Unbelievable.” He spat out. “It must be him.” Sertum mentioned, he turned to see another messenger at the door, holding a fanciful container. He walked up to him and grabbed it, carefully like a precious egg. “It is finished, all pieces combined.” The messenger said. Sertum stared at the container and tilted his head. “Are you certain?” “Yes, the Engineering Amendment has done whatever it can to achieve total perfection.” The messenger responded. “Very well, you are dismissed.” Auditor Sertum said as the messenger bowed before he scattered. “The Oracle is finished.” Sertum said to Victus. “That is not what I’m worried about, Harken Saw is at our gates! We must assemble the Rau Fleet and call reinforcements.” Victus shouted. Sertum knew that Victus had every right to be worried, if that armada would successfully come then all would be at stake. Victus walked up to Sertum, barely noticing the Oracle inside. “The Crimson Brigade is doing everything they can do prevent one ship landing in the surface of Zeruel.” Sertum explained, Victus shook his head and looked above to see Sertum’s visor. “We need not just the Crimson Brigade, we need the Elite. We also need the Rau Fleet if we’re going to decide this battle Auditor.” “You know.” A raspy voice said causing both to turn, it was Folter petting a Wiglet gently. “Harken Saw’s Death Star is gonna cause a ton of problems outside our atmosphere. Do we have any solutions to that?” He gestured all to speak up with curiosity. Both looked at each other as silence grew with tension, low sounds of destruction outside of their planet. Victus placed his hand to his chin, rubbing it. “Zeruel’s Judgement. But we can’t actually use it. The proportions of power among that ship is too devastating to use above this planet.” Victus stated. Folter chuckled, growing into sadistic laughter. “Don’t be such a tissy pussy, our synergy shield not to mention we’re underground means we’ll be fine… for now unless you order that ship in here.” Folter insisted. “Very well, but it shouldn’t be above atmosphere, it should at least be far.” Victus said. Folter finally nodded and planted the Wiglet to the floor. “Finally some results. I’ll actually prepare for this.” Folter walked out of the room as Victus and Sertum stood. “What of the Daedalus?” Sertum asked. “We authorize that too.” Victus said. … “I’M HIT I’M HIT!” A crazed pirate said as he was shot down by remaining drones. Other fighters attempted to fire upon the shield but to no avail, as far as they knew it was clearly impenetrable from all types of firepower. “ARHHHAH!” The pirate screamed as it entered the shield, surprisingly left unscathed, however by due to getting hit the fighter was on fire, crashing into the barren rock.
"I'll be prepared, don't worry.", Dwan yelled back.
The Talon blazed across the burning wreckage of Crimson Son drone swarms torn into nothing more than scarp metal and Privateer frigates basted in half as there fuel, munitions and crewmen diff into the void. "This is Talon, Don't worry about any drones. I and Andron will take care of any bucket of bolts getting too close so you can all have an cozy into the planet's shield uninterrupted." Viper said as it ship past by the Roughrider before banking towards the left. --- "Damn...Well that's one nice trump card to show off, hope it stays up in the sky for long enough." An familiar said within the dark and cold confines of an military drop pod. "Command, Our client have successfully pasted through the set line of exterior defenses and are now advancing onto the surface-" An voice echoed before being cut off by it's benefactors. "Advance,Deploy,Conquer..." The synthetic voice confirmed it's order as the fleet had finished leaving an entire moon laying in two. "Roger command, we shall not fail you." The voice echoed as it's fleet went into warp.
"Here goes nothing." Said Lion as he steered the ship towards the shield. [So is the shield harmless then?]
(for now...)
[Well if the drones weren't harmed then you would think so right?.] The small ships entered through the shield, speeding up. The SACs continued to fire at the frigates above the atmosphere. That wasn't the Armada's problem tho it was the swarms of Air Defenses. "Havoc, arm the APCs, we have got to secure the land!" A soldier said as they were near the ear shattering noise of SACs. Dozens of fighters were already getting shredded with ease as even bombers couldn't close in enough. The bombs above clashed with the ground, nearly ranging from meters
"What if we tried using debris from the destroyed frigates to destroy some of their defenses? They wouldn't be a targeting priority for them, and they'd be able to get past the shield."
The Ranger sped past the shield and maneuvered around the enemy fire and truckloads of debris. "Forget about that, if we get close enough we can tae them out. All fighters form up, Roughrider hang back for one minute." Lion continued to push on down towards the surface and spotted a gun emplacement partially obscured by some rocks. "Launch!" He yelled as several rockets went for the bunkered up gun.
"that's a much higher risk though!"
