"Well, she'll have plenty of opportunities to do that."
Lion and Dwan exited the Ranger, observing the mayhem in the skies above. Before Lion could say anything a group of SDF soldiers approached them and saluted. "Commander." Said one of the soldiers who wore the blue double blue stripes on his modified black and white SDF armor which indicated that he was a squad leader.
"Spectre unit reporting for duty, the admiral gave us orders to help you when needed." Said the soldier, his face being obscured by the tinted visor.
Lion returned the gesture with a salute of his own. "Pleasure to have you boys and girls with us." Lion gestured towards Dwan. "This is Dwan, he'll be your co-objective for this mission. What's the status onnour ground forces?"
The soldier nodded and opened up a holomap showing the base. "So far there's mixed progress on the front, the privateers are busy keeping the defenses while the mercs are generally too disorganized to make any good push through the Crimson lines. Some units such as privateer spec-ops, Boome Marines shock troops and a unidentified third party relying on robotics have made some good progress though. Currently we have one SDF battalion down here on stand by, the rest are waiting for us to expand our territory before deploying."
Lion crossed his arms. "Prepare the men for long, mid and close range battle. I want light units to focus on the flanks, their jumppacks should give them a advantage. Medium units are with us while the heavy units will push on periodically after providing covering fire. Make sure that all soldiers focus on headshots, even with their advanced cybernetics the gearheads can't undo the effects of a headshot.
We rendevouz at the south side in ten minutes." The soldiers nodded and started barking out orders on the radio.
Lion turned once more and looked at the squad leader. "Before we go into battle, what's your name soldier?"
"Lieutenant Warren, sir."
"Warren, I hope you're ready to save the galaxy." Said Lion.
"Aye, sir." Replied Warren.
"Captain, this is Talon one..Fort Blaze is under constant bombardment from Crimson forces, I doesn't look like their going last for long under this siege......Wait, I'm readying multiple armed fighter squadrons incoming out of no where...This isn't another wave of automated defense interceptors to slow our advance but rather an actual manned squadron looking to take their skies back." Viper reported over comms towards Lion as the Talon's lowered it's engines and engaged an matter of countermeasures to mask itself above the clouds, keeping watch of it's new friends and looking for the right moment to meet face to face with an unsuspecting fighter.

"The first of the many..An real contingent, an real obstacle for us....No more toys and tricks for us for now on then..The real game has just begun." Alpha one muttered under his breath as he watch the Crimson Elite's air force blasted into the skies from their dens, their prey in their sight for the taking.
"Press, Continue, Destroy...' His benefactor said as it stood behind him while Alpha one watched his fleet overlook the war below, it's Carriers holding the blunt of the attacks from the planet's defenses while their hover above the shield, deploying their payload as corvettes used their heavy weaponry to keep the drones at bay. It's Cruisers pushing back the wave after wave of drones coming after the Carriers while readying themselves for the Elite's air forces to begun their counter attack.
Alpha one looked onto the world for last time before turning back towards the rest of the bridge. "Are Epsilon and Theta Phalanxes ready for warp?" Alpha one asked his benefactors as he stood over viewing the video feed of an Argos Operative rushing through an invaded bunker, as his comrades proved covering fire.
"You're not alone up there." Said Lion. "The SDF pilots know how to handle themselves, just mark your targets and they'll handle it." Replied Lion to Viper.
Dwan introduced himself to the SDF soldiers Lion was talking to. He turned to Lion. "So, what now?", he asked him.
"Die you cyborg scum!" Ject yelled as he unloaded many rounds into a Crimson Brigade soldier. Both fired blindly as they were on even terms, the everlasting scene has gone unnoticed for both as they were tearing he others throats. He meleed the soldier right into the face real hard enough to crack it.
The Crimson Son soldier shook his head, stunned by the melee as he could felt that one coming, he took off his helmet and fought over the gun. Ject gritted his teeth as he looked straight into the guy's face, all flesh, not one piece of metal. Hell he was pretty young too.
"What the fuck? You ain't no robo." He received a blunt wound from the cracked helmet. The soldier panting. Bruta quickly fired behind the soldier's back, falling down instantly.
Bruta ran to Ject as well as Elli too.
"You alright?" Bruta asked him, Ject stared down at the body, believing everything he saw. "Bruta, I thought the Crimson Son were all cyborgs and shit?"
Bruta was confused until he raised the soldier's face. Clean as a baby. "You're right. I thought so too." Bruta looked above as he was defending Fort Blaze just like everyone else.
Pippin set the roughrider down between a squad of Mercs and Crimson Son. "Iska now would be a great time to use that rage of yours productivly!" he quipped as he grabbed his weapons and rushed out of the ship, taking cover behind it and firing at three of the Crimson Son
Iska stood up from the bench she had been sitting on and ran out after Pippin, a shimmer of red still in her eyes. She took cover next Pippin and pulled him down by the collar, her face only inches from his, "If Iska hear one more funny thing out of mouth, it be last" she said between her teeth.
Iska threw Pippin out of her grip and fixed her combat knife as a bayonet on the Volgrim and took a quick look out over the battlefield to assess the situation.
Pippin tried to pull away. "Can we have this conversation later?"
Iska looked back at Pippin with a stern expression and slowly nodded
Their boots cranked with such friction, sounds of metal clashing through the floor. Men of giant proportion rushed through the tunnels as they saw their own men being attacked by unknown forces. Tracers engulfed the area as the Operatives pushed on, killing regular soldiers left to right.
"We have hostiles assaulting the Crimson Brigade garrison, engaging!" A deep boomed through the radio. At least three Crimson Elite jogged to their position, flanking the men down with their large caliber weapons.
"At last the Elite have arrived, we thank you for the assistance!" The squad leader said with pleasure.
"Save the blessings for later! In the Constables of War, our men are bonded, sworn to deal the most treacherous tasks at hand! We will honor you brethren!" He shouted as all forces pushed on.
...
Inside Fort Blaze was a map structure of everything so far. Fort Cairo was recently set up along with the Omega Field, providing a defensive for Blaze. The building was shaking to the point someone needed to hold on to something sturdy. The Fort was at least large enough to fit three divisions. Due to the rapid technology on base building the Privateers were able to set up shop pretty quick.
Adeptors, Bear Tanks, and strikers were shipping out by each minute, hoping to clear a path to expand.
"It is clear we must locate the Crimson Son's underground network and clean up house. 62th Regiment has secured an invaluable amount of mining tools along with explosions to dislodge the Son's tunnel warfare. We will form a massive spearhead to assist the Regiment. SDF will spare their armored/air units and provide covering fire." A Colonel said to the Privateers.
"The Son are assaulting our forts, how can we provide a spearhead if they continue to attack?"
"I doubt they will stop any moment to catch their breath, we must progress to the northeast if we want to protect these forts. Our time is spread thin, if we do not take advantage of this hour then we'll all face heavy consequences later."
...
"This is High Command, we request brave volunteers to support a massive spearhead to dislodge the Crimson Son's tunnels. Take this opportunity to supply your men at Fort Blaze! Make haste!"
Varn pulled Pippin aside and gave him a mean look. "Are you def or mentally handicapped? I told you to shut up and not piss her off further. One more snide remark her way and you're on your own, got it?"
Varn didn't wait for an answer and looked at the battlefield. He radioed in Lion. "What's our next move, captain?"
"Now we go to war." Replied Lion to Dwan. As they began moving towards the south side of Fort Blaze more and more SDF soldiers joined the group.
"Dwan and I are going to push out through the south side of Fort Blaze, hopefully it'll buy us some time." Replied Lion to Varn.
By the time they reached the hastily constructed gate being defended by a squad of grizzled privateers the group had doubled in size.
Not only had most of the SDF battalion joined but there were also several mercenaries who had joined ranks.
Lion turned to the group. "Alright, listen up. We're gonna push out and expand our lines. The Crimson forces will fight ruthlessly without hesitation or mercy, keep that in mind as we push on. Command has also issued us a request to raze any of the Crimson's underground tunnels."
He paused and looked at the men and women who had gathered infront of him. "This will no doubt be hard but if we succeed here, the others will succeed elsewhere. Now, if you find a tunnel you mark it and let the demo teams handle it. Move out!"
Lion then spun around and signaled for the privateer manning the gate console to open it up.
"This is Lion, requesting surpressive bombardment on the south side of Fort Blaze, over."
"Lion this is Reaper One, you have five minutes." Shortly after a squadron of Sol fighters passed over and engaged the hostiles on the other side of the gate.
Suddenly the gate opened up and the forces rushed out with Lion, Dwan and Spectre Unit spearheading the group.
Lion rushed across a crater only to find two surprised Crimson soldiers huddling down next to a rock.
He fired away two salvos with the hope of hitting them.
"Yes sir. We'll join you as soon as we can." Varn turned to Iska and Pippin. "Alright, we have our orders. Find and help seal the tunnels, the Sun is using." Varn heard a sharp whistle and turned around. His confusion turned to relief at a sight of a friendly face. It was Mercury.
"Easy now, we're friendly. Good to see you guys made it mostly in one piece. Seth told us to find you and give you heavy weapon support." Mercury pointed to the several Boome's equipped with heavy gear. "You guys point and we shoot."
"Alright. We move out with that APC. Use it for cover as you move along to the targets." After a minute, the APC was on the move. Varn moved closely behind it, aiming and shooting at any Crimsons he could see.
[btw guys, I'm doing a final count up for this RP adventure. The aim is to see who had the most crits, misses, body count and other notable achievements. If you have any ideas on what else i should count or want to add an extra achievement in there PM me or contact me over Steam.]
Pippin raised his carbine and nodded, and peaked around the side of the ship
can i be a moonbase?
"Roger Captain, I'll keep myself in skies to provide some air cover for your advance and to show these soft-carbons how it's done. Good luck on the ground sir." Viper said over the comms before flying above the engaged SDF fighters, diving onto the tail of an distracted Crimson fighter, locking the Talon's firepower on an occupied fighter, ready to unleash hell several bursts of thermal energy onto the poor bastard.
Iska crouched sligthly and moved with the APC, occasionally raising up to take pot shots at the crimsons she could spot.

Mini Roll[7]: Lion saw the surprised soldiers taking pot shots at others, he already fired one salvo at one of them, falling on his back while he missed for the other. The soldier fired blindly and grabbed his comrade's left arm, yanking it to pull him out of the sideline.

Mini Roll Critical Success[10] The dozens of Brigade soldiers were astounding, firing at the spearhead in cover without hesitation. With his brother along himself his own fighting ability has increased ten times better. He picked off scouts, soldiers dumb enough to actually go near. He waged war as fire support defeated his foes.

Mini Roll[2]: "This is Haki-39, we have visuals on a spearhead below. Our bombers will intercept their expansion over and out." A female stated, purple in skin she was focusing on the massive convoy heading out of the forts. This was their shot, until she heard her HUD indicate an enemy lock on. She widened her eyes and rolled out of there. She saw many SDF fighters and one particular ship.
She grabbed the controls and maneuvered upwards, staring at orbit before steering down launching a few guided missiles. One missile eventually missed and went down below, reaching for the rear of the convoy while two missiles chased the Talon. The missile clashed onto the shield, disabling while the other exploded mid air, severely damaging the left wing.
SDF fighters were already intercepting her, she rushed out of there seeing her radar with three enemies behind her tail once again. Her last resort was to activate a disruption beacon. His pulled a few levers and pressed a button beside her gauge, looking behind her to see all three struggling to steer. She pulled another maneuver again and fired her synergic salvos, pulling them down at the ground. She sighed a load of relief.

Mini Roll[7]: Iska crouched beside several soldiers as they pushed slowly, carefully making sure there weren't snipers around. She shot soldiers who dared running out and attacking from the sidelines, usually in the chest.
Pippin fired a burst at a squad of Crimson Son
Mini Roll[8]: Pippin was daring enough to launch a rounds at a couple of members, he was successfully in pulling headshots and scattering many.
...
In the front of the spearhead laid three War Mechanian tanks, along with a barricade of Brigade soldiers utilizing mortars and artillery. They scattered around and prepared for the spearhead. "We need air support on the double if we're going to deflect that convoy!" A commander yelled to his fellow men. The tanks fired their supercharged shells at the frontal assault simultaneously, bombarding the area as small craters formed. Fallen soldiers screamed in agony as blood spilled. One Privateer was walking, looking at his surroundings to see the mess of things, he had no weapon for he was dazed and confused. He almost felt like he was in a dream or a nightmare, he couldn't tell. The Privateer saw something below, an arm, specifically his arm. He picked it off and attempted to plop it right on his severed stub. He wandered out of the convoy and was soon left without a state of consciousness.
"It ain't so fun when you're the ones getting fucked in the ass, huh you overgrown piles of gears!" Varn taunted the Sun as they were being pushed back and he was being consumed by bloodlust. The shock from the shell barrage nearly knocked him off his feet.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Take out those tanks, so we can breach those tunnels!" Mercury barked at the Boome's "Varn, grab that RPG and take one out!" Varn picked up the RPG next to a fallen brother and took aim at the enemy barricade. He locked on his target and fired.

Whether or not Gataska was hitting any damn thing was of no concern to Yanim. The ship had ducked to a low enough speed to make it possible to jump out, and she was about to display to her crew the definition of airmobile- she and Virin were about to fall like spears from on high, a type of exhilaration she had experienced once before on Duroma while fighting the mercenary army. The stakes had changed but the rules were the same: hit harder, faster, and longer to survive.
Rask stepped away from the radar console and went into the cargo chamber, retrieving some additional tools of destruction for the duo. Each were given a laser rangefinder; Yanim plugged it into one of the data ports on her tail while Virin's was synced ad-hoc to Yanim's tablet, giving both of them the ability to guide air-dropped bombs to their targets. While Virin took Rask's 80mm mortar launcher, Yanim was provided a small bag of C4 charges with a smart detonator.
Skada looked on excitedly, but he couldn't go along. Virin patted him on the head. "[Guard the others,]" he said jokingly. Yanim gestured with her hand, signaling for Skada to obey Virin's request. The mechanical fox assumed a playful, yet defensive stance.
"When you get to the ground," Rask shouted as the cargo ramp extended, exposing the main tunnel to the elements, "you have to tell me what you're looking at. Tonnage, armor, shields... I need to know everything before I put the bomb on a sled. When I have one ready, I'll give you the signal. After that, I need you to keep your rangefinders engaged and focus on the target- at least one of you has to maintain constant lock! The servos will guide the bomb on target- if you stop marking it, the bomb will fly off course. Got it?"
Yanim and Virin both nodded as the moment approached. The g-forces of the Belladonna's constant circling kept them feeling planted, even heavy. But after Rask patted them each hard on the shoulder, Virin looked urgently into Yanim's eyes and the latter began the jog forward, toward the gaping hole in front of them. Virin followed suit, his experience as a soldier setting in and tempering his nerves. The edge arrived and the two leaped out, sucked instantly into the swirling vacuum behind the bullet-like craft they rode in on.
The horizon flipped over and over as their bodies spiraled into the empty air like embers cast from a raging fire. The air whipped against them, giving vital lift while dealing bruising blows, and gradually they oriented themselves into the spread-eagle position, falling, falling ever faster toward the cratered and hellish surface below where they were needed. With limited control they steered themselves to land far inside the defensive perimeter before finally orienting themselves feet-down for the ultimate test of the Valkyrie.
In the final three seconds before impact, both devices engaged. The packs let out an explosive repulsor force which allowed each to hit the ground and roll using their remaining forward momentum. They had survived, and with a deafeningly-loud shriek, the two Valkyrie packs went dead, totally drained of energy. Yanim jumped to her feet, immediately engaged with sizing up her surroundings, but Virin took a moment longer, shocked by the experience of landing in such a manner. He soon shook himself out of it and set to work.
High above, Neasha and Virin were almost surprised to hear that both had landed safely. Rask began assembling a bomb based on Yanim's specifications. She and Virin had sighted the massively-powerful tanks assaulting the perimeter and pointed their rangefinders at the target. Moments later, Rask deployed the servo-guided bomb sled using one of the cargo jacks, and it began to plummet toward the tank.
As Lions former targets were partially neutralized, he moved on. Behind him he could hear the soldiers from the Spectre Unit finishing off any stragglers he had missed.
Lion sprinted accross the field and took aim at a squad of crimson soldiers taking cover behind the smoldering wreckage of a drone.
He fired three salvos and tossed a grenade at them.
Dwan gave Lion some cover.
Viper's was temporarily stunned from blast wave of the second missile's hit against the Talon hull, blasting near the Talon's relatively weak side armor and structurally damaging Talon's left wing which did not help with the Talon's already overtaxed drive system in this orbit.
Despite this, Viper pressed on and pushed the Talon to it's limits and continued to chase the Crimson Son fighter, using the Talon's impressive speed to climb well above the fighter and maneuvering itself to kept out of it's visual range while activating the Talon's stealth systems to gain the element of surprise as this particular pilot managed to evade it's pursuers.
The Sanghvi took an deep breath as it reached the maximum altitude range of the Talon's visual scanning and targeting equipment, holding the fighter craft as it plan it's next move along with reconfigured the drive system and engaging several auxiliary mechanisms to minimize the damage left wing on the Talon's performance before finally lining up it's attack run on the Crimson Son fighter.
Viper Preformed an shallow dive onto the back of the fighter, slightly correcting the Talon trajectory as it gain more and more speed towards the target along making sure that the Fighter was unable to fully retaliate as the Talon finished it's strafe on it.
The Talon fire several an spit volley of missiles to the fighter's sides, covering both the left and right in shrapnel and fire to force it in an predictable direction before firing several bursts of thermal lasers towards it's rear and in front to trap in an kill zone.

The situation in both the southern and northern poles of Zeruel was grim as dozens of Argos forces laid dead in both the underground labyrinth that made up the Crimson Son network of bunkers and emplacements and the burnt out wreckage of their invasion vessels and pods.
However despite their losses, they remained vigilant and determined in their relentless attacks to push deeper and deeper into the complex through sheer numbers and exploiting the element of confusion to the fullest in their strikes throughout the defense lines.
Much of the initial first response was already eliminated, wounded or routed in the Argos ruthless advance towards their goals, however with the sudden activation and counter attack of the Crimson's elite had been earlier than expected Argos's Intel had suggested, costing the Argos operatives much of their forward force and halted them in their tacks.
But nevertheless, they remained adamant in their to not lose the necessary momentum needed for the rest of the operation, the battering ram that was the Argos force was pushed to it's limit, unyielding in it's resolve to decisively destroy the opposing force from it's den was borderline suicidal in the face of the dreaded elite as they gathered and prepared themselves for another attack to launch themselves into the complex.

Mini Roll[5]: Varn stopped whatever he did and picked up a regular RPG, he intended to aim directly at the middle one firing, the rocket blew dust with a hefty recoil, thrusting into the tank to create smoke, engulfing the tank. As the smoke disappeared the tank was still operational. The tank kept doing what it did best.

The bomb collided on top of the tank, bringing a most devastating fiery of fire within the area. The shockwave had probably gave others at the front a chill, nevertheless they saw the tank, in a damaged state but hasn't succumbed to the effect. In a shocking moment, the tank's hull almost felt like it was moving, piece by piece as if it was transforming. At the end everyone has saw the final state of a mech at least 8 meters.

Mini Roll Critical Failure[1]: As Lion was sprinting a squad of crimson soldiers have already begun firing, noticing Lion's sprint in a dash. They fired repeatedly as Lion fired three salvos, missing completely while he lobbed a grenade. One of the soldiers was nearly generic among the other mooks, however he suddenly stopped the grenade, surrounding it with an aura. He was a Sync unlike others. The Sync immediately threw the grenade back at Lion, exploding the area while Lion knocked back on the ground. Soldiers of the Spectre Unit fired after Lion had received the blast towards the Sync but to no avail. The Sync enhanced his speed to the fireteam, making a dash right at the center. Before the men got to fire the Sync spawned a circle around his fist, pounding it into the ground. All three was turned into gibs of crimson blood, limbs flailing around. The regular soldiers fired at Lion while the Sync finished off the other soldiers.

Mini Roll[7]: Before he ever got to defend Lion he was seeing the grenade backfiring on Lion along with a soldiers of mysterious power killing SDF soldiers. The regular soldier ran straight to the Sync, instigating a two-on-two from here.

Mini Roll Critical Success[9]: Haki reported the massive spearhead to her superiors, if things went good then they might be able to prevent the army from going anywhere. She spotted the same fighter a few minutes ago, this time retaliating. She was too slow to react to the massive amount of missiles headed toward her way sideways. She was trapped and saw the thermal lasers pierced through her shields and hull.
But she didn't fear death, she was able to do something and that was important. She placed the ship on autopilot, reciting the Constables of War. She clenched her fist to her chest. "May I ascend to the plane of existence, and may my soul be apart of the Crimus. Loyalty. Dedication. Order." She concluded.
Viper succeeded in destroying this enemy, she was just another face to the death toll.
...
The defensive line was giving its best efforts to stand their ground, squads of Brigade readied mortars and artillery while their Air forces bombed their enemies. "War Mechanian tanks push them out! This is it!" A leader yelled to his men. The chant of war cries echoed through the grim scenery. This was a clash of two sides that will determine who gets what territory, A challenge both anticipated in years.
[What's with these Mary Sue enemies that keep popping up? I though they were cybrogs, not the fucking X-Men.]
"Fuck!" Lion shook his head and quickly got up. Some indirect fire from the crimson soldiers forced Lion to go for cover behind a rock.
He looked back and saw that three soldiers from Spectre Unit had been killed. Their squad leader, Warren, was still up and about; yelling out orders to all nearby soldiers.
Lion then spotted the crimson soldier which had tossed back his grenade, who was currently occupied with a SDF soldier.
Lion took aim and counted to five. He fired away, aiming for the Syncs head.
[I put a boss and mini-boss section in the final count. Odds are that everyone will have 1 or 2 at least by the end. :v:]
Varn started throwing obscenities at the tank as the smoke cleared and it forming into a giant robot. He looked at the heavy weapon team with them. "You and you, on my mark you target and shoot it's legs out! We're bringing that motherfucker down!" He reloaded the RPG and took aim. "Ready. Fire!"
Dwan gave Lion some more cover.
The dust cleared, revealing the damaged tank as it began to rearrange itself into an upright mech configuration. "Hyushnka..! Rask," Yanim called, "the bomb worked, but the target is still engaged, and it's no longer a tank."
"Vok!?" Rask's crackling voice responded over the comm. There were alarms ringing inside the Belladonna which were picked up by the microphone.
"It's a walker," Virin clarified. "We need another hit. Increase your penetration power, we lost a good portion of the last one making a fireball."
"Uh, not gonna happen yet," Neasha replied. "There are hostiles on my tail, I have to shake them off first."
"Do what you need to do, we'll figure something-" Yanim began to answer when a mortar landed nearby. She and Virin dove to the ground, the latter letting out a pained yell and gripping his shoulder. "[What happened?]" Yanim asked. "[Is it bad?]"
"[I'm okay,]" Virin responded through clenched teeth. With a sudden jerk of his hand he pulled a metal fragment out of the wound. "[It wasn't deep... It wasn't deep.]" He repeated, breathing heavily. While prone, the two kanads searched their surroundings for soft targets, for which Virin prepped his own 80mm mortar launcher. Yanim used the scope of her rifle to spot a unit of Crimson Son grunts firing on an allied target hiding behind a rock.
At the moment Lion turned around to fire at the Sync, Virin launched a mortar at the regular enemy soldiers.
