Unable to get answers about any Kanad crewmen, Iska decided to go back to her bunk. Upon entering the locker room, she felt like she was being watched. After looking around the room she noticed a kanad female aiming at her. Iska frowned "Careful ice princess, weapon is dangeroud and might get hurt". Iska looked down on her for a few more seconds and then continued on to her room.
[Gonna get some sleep now so putting my character to sleep fits, perfectly]
After waiting what felt like an eon for the captain, Arthur's communicator sprang up with Jeremy's face flashing on screen.
"Lion and Arthur, please come to the Bridge." Arthur was confused at this order.
"Captain, I already told you. I've been waiting at the bridge since I asked to meet you earlier. I'll... keep on waiting I guess."
"That was ages ago, I thought you might have moved.....you seriously didn't move?" Jeremy asked with a confused tone in his voice.
"Anyway, what do you want to talk to me about?" Jeremy asked.
"Jeremy... It was less than an hour ago. You only went to the market, as far as I know. Nothing else could of ta- Oh, I don't care enough to pry." Arthur answered, as he moved in closer.
"Anyway, I wish to relay a proposition to you. A pretty woman came up to me after I had turned Bruta in. She offered me and the crew a chance for some 'bug hunting'; the Helix Corps are offering a large cash sum for anyone willing to join an Inquisition to eradicate a large number of insects that have infested parts of underground Rigel. They wish for us to go to an outpost named Sanctum, and the event will be happening later tonight. She asks for our and her crew to work together in the pursuit of a massive payoff." Arthur said, in a diplomatic tone.
"Captain, the prize for this operation will be 20 million credits, split 50/50 with this woman's crew. I believe we should take this offer, and use the rest of the day to prepare our crew for combat. This would more than fund any operations or upgrades that the crew & ship may need in the future. What are your thoughts?"
Varn got out of the shower and put on some regular clothes. He took his armor and put it in a large suitcase. He exited Security and went to the Armory. Once there he took out the pieces and started working on maintenance and maybe upgrade it if he could.
(doomevil, can I get roll to see if Varn managed to upgrade his armor?)
Iska had entered the room casually. Yanim didn't recognize her, and her huge stature was only magnified against the kanad's sprightly form, a difference of roughly two and a half feet (77 cm). Furthermore, Iska's weapon probably weighed as much as Yanim herself. Despite the intimidation factor, Yanim lowered the sights from her eye as she correctly determined that the woman before her was not a threat. However, she had not yet lowered the rifle completely before being noticed.
Derisively, the big woman called her an "ice princess" and warned her to be careful with her gun. Yanim stopped pointing it at her, but felt an urge to berate her. By now she had realized that Iska's gun was made by hand and ascertained that she must be the new engineer. It was funny to her that standards were low enough elsewhere in the galaxy that such crude work could be considered the product of an engineer. She hoped that Iska would not be placed in charge of anything more sophisticated than a laundry machine.
And yet, with so many juicy responses swimming in her mind, Yanim steadied herself. She would not be goaded into a second match of egos in two days, especially against someone more familiar with kanads than your average human. She let it slip, and after a few tense moments, Iska turned and left the room. Turning the rifle over in her hands she imagined how the plasma stream would interact with khergian flesh. She figured it might be similar to the effect seen on the bodies of most of the Collective's enemies: a fine, circular borehole, one inch deep, surrounded by a eight inch-wide swath of third degree burns.
It was the characteristic mark of the fallen serek pirate, of which there were tens of thousands, and the noble phirin soldier, of which there were tens of millions. But there again, Yanim reminded herself that she was not a soldier. She was only in it for the sport, and so she placed her weapon on her back and exited the armory, to return to her duties in the engine room.

"Hmmm, I don't really think it's a good idea considering how everyone is after the pirate attack, how many credits do we even have?....AI how many credits do we have?" Jeremy asked.
"For the entire wealth treasury: 150,001 credits. Enough to keep us supplied and fed but in due time we must come up with some sort of revenue to maintain equipment or rather buy weapons for the Archius's cannons."
"For the entire wealth treasury: 150,001 credits. Enough to keep us supplied and fed but in due time we must come up with some sort of revenue to maintain equipment or rather buy weapons for the Archius's cannons."
"How long till we have till then?" Jeremy asked.
Arthur perked up at hearing the AI's words.
"Hear that? Give it some time, and we won't have enough to maintain the ship, let alone upgrade it. We'll be securing our future with what is basically a mercenary contract. Our crew, combined with the excellent weapons Lion designed for us, will be more than enough to deal with some bugs."
"How long till we have till then?" Jeremy asked.
"At best two weeks, at worst one week."
"At best two weeks, at worst one week."
"...How long till we get to Termina Central?"
"You don't want to know. If you insist at least 4 weeks, with the ship's current inventory."
Viper watching though the feed. Seeing captain defuse the situation quickly and free of any violent confrontation made Viper respect Jeremy as competent captain. However, as Viper begin reviewing the personnel with access to armory along with personal weapons, the fatigued Sanghvi stumbles into a nearby office chair. "Ah this ship's gravity's is making it hard to focus" Viper thought " It's never good sit around like what the soft-carbons do, Talking a walk to bridge to discuss my report with the captain should help with my way around the ship and body movement me to adapt to this environment".
Viper stood up and took a moment to adjust before heading off to the bridge and arriving within bridge to hear a conversation about a "Bughunt". Viper looked at Captain Jeremy "Sorry for interrupting sir but here's the security report I have been filed. Everything seems to be fine, nothing out of the ordinary" saying as viper hands over the data card.

"Thank you Viper." Jeremy said.
Jeremy then faced Arthur.
"Fine, do the mission but I am not going to be a part of it this time, I think it's a waste of time and resources. The only time I will help you guys in the mission is if you guys are dying out there. I'll try to get to you guys ASAP but besides that, you guys will have to be prepared to look after yourselves." Jeremy said.
Varn finished his maintenance and started looking for ways to improve his armor. He couldn't do much by himself but he did have those schematics he bought at his disposal. He quickly looked through some of them until he found something interesting. It was an arm mounted tazer. It sacrificed some protection on his left arm, but it would make his job much easier. Just clench your fist and hit. That's what the instructions said. Varn would spend the next several hours searching for spare parts and putting together bits and pieces.

"Wait, what is this about?" Viper asked to Jeremy.
"Captain, I simply do not understand why you are so opposed to this. Especially so, given that it will net you more than enough resources to get you to this... Termina Central that you're so obsessed with. As the acting Head of Science, and one of your main advisers, I'm perplexed to why you're seemingly going against sound advice, simply because of some arbitrary hate towards making so needed money. And for some reason, you are refusing to give your personal help because we must 'look after ourselves'? You are a captain to these men and women, and this does not send a good message towards them. I defended you when Kr'fernir questioned your motives, but now I'm not so sure of where your true interests lie." Arthur explained sternly to Jeremy, before turning away.
"No matter. I will relay this contract to the crew. If you change your mind, we will be leaving tonight."
As he walked over to the ship speaker systems, a mantis-like creature caught his eye, making him jump back slightly.
"O-oh my! A Sanghvi! I've never seen one of you in person. A new recruit, eh? I guess you've heard part of our conversation. The crew, sans Jeremy will be going out on a mission tonight. You're welcome to come along."
With that, Arthur used to speakers to relay the mission to the rest of the crew on board, before sending messages to all crew away from the ship.
"Be ready, everyone. You will all receive a lucrative cut from this contract. We will be gathering up outside of the hangar and leaving tonight."
"Arthur, wait." Jeremy said.
"I wanted to stay here because we just got new Recruits and I wanted to do more research on The Oracle, and do I honestly have to remind you to listen to our announcements? Day one, the AI said we would find more information at Termina Central...I also wanted to stay here and protect the piece of the Oracle incase people try to steal it." Jeremy said.
"But if that's not okay with you, then I will go."
Arthur sighed.
"Please don't try to guilt me, captain. You must understand; if we do not have resources in place, we will not be able to make it to Termina Central in the first place. I believe in your goals, but your decisions are not helping your goals, or ours." Arthur stated.
"However, I do understand your need to protect this piece of technology we have. It is entirely your choice of what you wish to do, but I am attempting to advise you to the best of my abilities. Please understand that."

"I know Arthur, and I thank you, and I do agree that we should do this, but I am not sure if I should go or not. Let me sleep on it and when I wake up, I'll let you know ok?" Jeremy said.
Jeremy then walked to his room and went to sleep.
((I am starting to feel a bit sick, and the way I do my RPs is that I base my decisions on the way I feel in reality, so I am hesitant to do the mission in case I have caught the flu, so I am actually going to sleep and when I wake up, I'll see how I feel and depending on how I feel, I may or may not do the mission, also another thing I have to take into consideration, my Friday, aka, your Thursday, I won't be able to post for a while since I am going up to my Dads for the week, he lives out of town so we drive there. However I will be able to post during the week but it might be less than it is now.))
"No problem, captain. Get some rest. If you're up for it, we'll see you tonight."
Arthur walked out of the bridge, slightly frustrated but ultimately satisfied with the result. He retrieved the weapon Lion created for him and headed down to the lab. When there, he opened up comms with Perra.
"My darling! Our crew has decided to take up this contract, though possibly sans the captain. Our heads of security or engineering will likely take up leadership of the group for this contract." Arthur quite happily exclaimed.
"Is there any chance you have some info on the biology of these creatures we will be fighting? I intend to study them, and come up with a biological solution that can effect their body structures effectively. Essentially, I will wage biological warfare on them."
Perra was busy arm wrestling with one of her comrades at the gym. It was a pretty sight to see as a lot of her crew were too busy working out that sweat and smell were all over the place. A few seconds later her opponent was already on the verge of tears, his arm slammed on the table. The mates cheered on to Perra's victory. "You owe me a good damn drink Wazowski." She said to her defeated crew member. She noticed a beep on her holoband called to her, the contact Arthur. Both gave each their contact info in case Arthur was interested. She accepted the call.

Perra couldn't help but grin at that face, she smiled "That's good to hear Arthur, I'm glad you decided to join us."

"Well I could pull up something." She said while she pulled out the basic info about Screechers.

The worst part is that they hunt in packs, spit some gooey stuff. I'm not much a science person more of an expert on killing things. But that's my job and the best way to kill them is to burn them."
Meanwhile Harken Saw was busy filing some paper work on the top floor. He noticed his secretary was rather fond of him, but he decided he wasn't interested in relationships. Results interested him the most. "Vara have you contracted Mr. Hanks for that professional lunch meeting for 8'o clock?"
"I have sir, I believe he states that he won't be available due to a certain "business" trip around the Audit System." She said dearly, writing her personal planner, glancing at Harken Saw. The masked man widened his eyes and immediately planted his hands against his head. "Son of a bitch. He thinks his personal vacation trip around a system is more important than something urgent?" He asked angrily. He stood up from his chair and paced around until he could think of something up. "Ms. Vara, call him again and express the fact his trip isn't important but what's really on the table is my foot up his narrow ass." Hark stated.
"Will do sir." Vara kept in mind.
"No wait, not my foot but one of my agents could do it for me. Yeah, let's do that instead... Also I'd like to request a trip to Termina Central, I believe Archius XI will no doubt arrive."
"On it sir. I believe your business with another "client" is waiting for you." She stated, almost believing to keep on secrets with her boss. He thought about this client and realized what she truly meant. "You're right. Take care Ms. Vara." He said as he went out the gates, faintly hearing Vera sighing for something brutal.
...
A man with teared up clothing appeared on the floor, hands and feet tied up with electronic cuffs meant to prevent movement. His paranoia grew and grew until the man himself appeared in front of him. His desire to yell became null when he realize good ol fashioned tape restrained his mouth. "Hello friend, you remember me? Surely this mask says all things." Harken Saw said politely as he held a good old fashioned hatchet and some tweezers. He snapped his fingers for the full play set as a table appeared via nanos. Harken Saw toyed around with him until his thirst for blood came through. "I'd like for you to know that while you're probably going to die in your own blood I'm here to calm you." He assured. This was sure going to be a fun sight. Harken Saw played with his hatchet at the edge, seeing his client widening his eyes as he raised the blade onto his shoulder. A faded scream was all that came out of the room.
"And zat! Is how you perform a vivisection, heart transplant, bone seperation and decapitation all in one experiment! I couldn't decide on vhat to do so I did all of zhem!"
Joseph happily said as he washed his hands. Next to him, was a pile of skins, a complete skeleton of (insert pirate's species here) lacking the skull and the head of the pirate on a stand.
"Zis reminds me back on Earth, vhen ze patient voke up, his skeleton vas missing! And ze doktor was never from again! Ahahaha!"
The engines roared as thd dropship started hovering over the hangar floor. Using two joysticks, Lion controlled both movement and the nosemounted gun. He pressed a few buttons which made the ship land again.
He opened up comms.
"Captain, Lion here. I apologize for not coming to the bridge. I was uh, busy. Either way I wanted to notify you that we have a functional combat-ready dropship that doubles as a gunship."
Jeremy, Iska, Viper and the rest arrived at Archius XI.

and the rest
[Oh that's me.]
Sledge didn't say much on his way to the ship. That was on purpose. A man doesn't talk tough, he is tough: Judged solely on the square of his grizzled jaw and the meticulously-polished sheen of his weapon of choice. He caught a couple of curious or uneasy glances coming his way, which he returned with his trademarked serious tough-guy expression. With so much wuss meat on board, he'd be running this ship in a week, Sledge told himself. He chuckled at his own thought. A manly chuckle. Like, deep and throaty. Like, it's more of a growl than a chuckle. Sledge did it three more times on the elevator just to be sure everyone knew he was thinking amusing, manly thoughts. Intimidating.
Arriving at his room, Sledge noticed a distinct lack of "His own name being etched into the metal door via Bowie knife"-ness. He would have to fix that later. A man's room is something to be feared, like a lion's den from which no life can escape un-mauled. Instead, he decided to announce his presence with a manly door kick! KA-BAM! ...Shit, his door didn't open inwards. Anybody watching...? Okay good let's get inside because that fucking hurt. But it's a good kind of hurt. The kind that means weakness is leaving the body and being replaced by bulk or mass or possibly gains.
Removing.... No, unholstering his duffle bag from his shoulder, Sledge tossed it against his cot and spit on the floor to mark his territory. It was almost a full cup of spit, too. He'd spent the time not talking saving up for this moment and it had all been worth it as he admired the sick-ass puddle he'd just made. Fuck yeah, this room was HIS. FOREVER.
Having unpacked, Sledge hitched Melinda aka The Mulcher aka The Facemangler aka The Bitchmangler aka Hammer-You L. Jackson over his shoulder and headed out the door. His destination was the second most masculine location on the ship: The Bar. The first is the gym. It's always the gym. After a brief elevator ride and several deep squats to keep himself tight, Sledge walked into the bar with a swagger that only comes naturally to men of the highest caliber, and he didn't even notice he was doing it. He strode like this all the way up to the nearest barstool, he slammed a muscly fistful of dollars on the bar and demanded to be served the bar's three strongest drinks.
While Sledge waited to be served, he took the opportunity to get to know the individual sitting next to him, issuing a greeting by dropping The Jaegermasher aka Clubba Libre aka Pain-a Colada aka Thudweiser on the bar and making a deafening BANG! This was all done nonchalantly, of course. as Sledge doesn't need to get anyone's attention, he already has it from the moment he walks in. Turning to his new audience he remarked, "I see you're admiring my hammering muscles. Don't worry, I only use them to crush SKULLS and DREAMS!" He flexed mightily at that last part and you are now obviously either terribly frightened or insatiably aroused (depending on who you are)! Answer him with whatever courage you can muster!!!!
After waiting what seem to be an eternity for some food, Isaac just grab something behind the counter and mashed together a sandwich. Isaac finished up eating the sandwich and then wrote a note.
Got quiet hungry from waiting for somebody. Made a sandwich. Hope this covers the cost. - Isaac
He left the note and some credits on the counter and then proceeded to leave the mess hall. He took the elevator down to engineers.
Once again back in the engineers room he pondered:
'I wounder where the chief went?' Hmmm, might as well do some maintenance check.'
Isaac walked up to the closest terminal and started typing.
After and hour or two, Isaac felt like he had good knowledge of all the droids onboard and their maintenance routes.
'I'll better fill out a report on this and send it to the chief'

Status Report: Maintenance check of all droids
Name: Isaac Devol
Location: Archius XI
Status: All maintenance droids are working as intended. No anomaly or fault in their systems.
Anomaly: None

'There that should do for now.' :Isaac thought to himself before he sat down and took a sip from his coffee.
"Could Officer Varn, Dr. Jordon and Yanima please report to the armory for distribution of weapons as soon as possible? Thank you." Said a robotic voice over the ships intercom.
"Whats happening now?" Jordon exclaimed, he removed himself from the Medical Lab and retrieved his Power Vest from the Science Lab, but not before washing his hands with 6 different times of hand-sanitizer to remove any contagious diseases he was bound to carry will being the the Mad Doctors Lab while he preformed his "experiments", twice he had passed out from the gruesome sight from inside the Lab.
He the walked through Zoo Chambers where he noticed a large furry cat, a Norwegian Forest had escaped from it's cage. The cat start to follow Freeman as he walked for the Chamber.
"Bug off!" Jordon said in a attempt to scare the animal. But it was no use the the cat followed him to the elevator. Jordon picked the cat up, "I'll have to take him back to chambers when I have a chance." When he arrived on the middle floor he brought the Cat with him as he walked into Armory.
Lion turned around to greet Jordon. "Greetings, I've finished working on your personalized weaponry." Said Lion before pulling out a rather large weapon that was emitting a faint orange light.
The weapon was colored in whit and looked like any other assault rifle with most noteable difference being the undermounted device emitting the light.
"This is the LWA HEW, HEW stands for Hazardous Environment Weapon. It's built in a lightweight yet durable alloy and feeds off a high-capacity battery allowing it to shoot more lasers than your average laser weapon. The rifle fires in a full-auto mode however you can switch to semi-auto whenever you want."
Lion then pointed to the device mounted below the barrel.
"This is the LWA ZGMD, short for Zero-Gravity Manipulation Device that allows the user to grab items up to thirty meters away. It feeds on the same powercell as the rifle meaning that you cannot use both at the same time as that'd would produce some explosive results."
With a click Lion removed the attachment.
"The ZGMD can be removed for separate use or to reduce weight. If you flip the switch located next to the powerbutton you can make it push objects away rather than have it drag items towards you."
Lion then remounted the ZGMD underneath the barrel and handed over the gun to Jordon.
"I hope that this pleases you, if not, send me a report with changes you'd like."
Varn finished up his upgrade. He had constructed the arm tazer and put it on to get the feel for it. It was definitely lighter, made sense since he had to remove some padding to make room for the components. He put on the rest of his armor and went to the practice dummies. They were build to show how an organic would react to any damage be it gunfire, stabbing or shock. Varn started hitting the dummies with his left hand applying different amounts of strength with each hit. The harder he hit, the more power was exerted, meaning that his shields would have less strength. He figured that the trade-off was good since it meant more chances to capture someone alive. Live VIP's meant big ransoms.
The intercoms turned on and Varn heard officer Lion "Could Officer Varn, Dr. Jordon and Yanima please report to the armory for distribution of weapons as soon as possible? Thank you."
"Cool, more stuff to test out." Varn put the dummies back in place and made his way to the armory.
