Jeremy walked up to the table and grabbed the vials and put them into his pocket.
"I think it's time we head off." Jeremy said.
"I will just quickly make an announcement."
He selected the Announcement Application and put his arm up to his mouth.
"We are now leaving to go to the Bug Killing Mission, I am unsure as to when we will be done but it shouldn't take us too long. For anyone left behind but still want to come and help out, contact Arthur as he has the location details." Jeremy said.
"Jeremy Out."
Jeremy then put his arm down and headed to the ship, he opened the door and sat down.
Lion nodded at Yanim.
"Yanim, mind being my co-pilot? It's the seat to the right."
"Yakka, comrade!" Yanim replied as she circled around to the cockpit of the craft, but before she could climb in Arthur requested everyone's attention. The scientist gave a short explanation of what the crew was in for, including a holographic visual aid. The reaction from the room was mixed, from nervousness to eagerness, indifference to intense focus. Personally, Yanim was excited, but also felt a nagging worry that not all was as it seemed. This contact of Arthur's, whom they were to trust, had the captain met her?
It wasn't her place to question this, however. The captain had decided to support this endeavor and so she might as well do her best to help the crew. Kr can take care of the Archius, but what if the Roughrider were to blow a thrust converter disk during the mission and Yanim had stayed behind? They would have to trust Iska, an engineer whom they had just met- unproven, and a khergian no less. Her contemporaries at the academy held them in equally poor regards as humans.
To be honest, unlike the humans around her, Iska did little to defy her expectations. She seemed crude and carried a crude weapon. She had just watched Lion try to shake her hand and she just ignored him and lit up a cigarette instead.
Gah! Cigarettes. Even most humans frown on those awful creations. They fill the air with a horrid musk which somehow lingers for hours and can even penetrate the oxygen-filtering masks worn by off-world kanads. And for what cause? A moment of stress relief and contemplation followed by the slow degradation and destruction of the respiratory system in the smoker's lungs and anyone unfortunate enough to live with one. At least modern science can prevent what was once inevitable- death by cancer. She shuddered.
Kr'fernir has Iska perform an evaluation on the systems she is charged with. Those systems being weapons, fire control systems, and the power grids which allow them to operate. His compound eyes seem to focus on her more than anyone else, but who knows what thoughts run around his mind.
Once he works through his own shift he retires to his quarters for a rad-immersion.
Varn took his position on the ship as tailgunner and awaited liftoff.
Those who joined in on the quest for bug hunting were inside the Dropship Adeptor, eventually it went straight off the Archius and out of the hangar bay. The chilled climate of Rigel was getting colder as the day turned to night. This outpost called Sanctum would be their destination. The crew chat amongst themselves and talked about their opinion on the bug hunt.
First, they needed to get some crossbows or at least some projectile in a weapon shop. Unfortunately Lion's paying.
[Can I be on the dropship retroactively? I've been at work all day. :v:]
[Hell no]
[sp]Gotcha, sure you can[/sp]
((I don't see why not))
"HELL YEAH! It's been almost 24 hours since I've crushed something," flexed Sledge, emerging from the only shady corner of the dropship where you didn't see him until just now. "That's far too long. Me and The Beetlejuicer are ready to beat some sense into those maggots."
Sledge punched his own palm to show you all how serious he is about all of this.

Jeremy turns around after hearing the Sledge.
"The Beetlejuicer eh? Does it require the enemy to say Beetlejuicer 3 times to get it to appear?" Jeremy asked.

"No." Sledge replies indignantly, "That's assuming that the enemy could even open his mouth without being fed a hammerful of his own teeth."
Jeb Jackson looked out of the window towards the planet. "I hope they all return safely from the mission. I hope they're all good, for their sake as well as mine." he thought as he let his mind wander.
Lion flipped a few switches, stabilizing the roaring engines.
"Alright, five minutes untill we reach the closest tradepost. When we get there Dwan and Arthur will get us some crossbows before we continue our flight towards Sanctum."
Said Lion over the dropships intercom. He looked over to Yanim
"Yanim, you're a good shot right? I'm transferring the controls for the nosegun to your seat."
Jordon realized the cat had distracted him so much he forgot to board the ship. Left behind, he brought the cat which he now called Smuggles to the Science Lab and then looked for Cat food in the Zoo chambers.
"I am suitable," Yanim replied. "Go ahead and transfer."
With the flick of a switch, one set of lights went out on Lion's side of the cockpit and another set was illuminated on Yanim's side. She tested the aiming controls; the nosegun swiveled smoothly in response to her inputs. Satisfied, she nodded at Lion, implying that all was working properly.
Lion did a thumbs up. "Be ready to open fire when we approach Sanctum, incase the infestation is worse than we think. The gun is kinetic repeater, secondary mode is a railgun that fires a explosive slug. Be careful with the second one."
Lion pressed another button which brought up the map. Right now they were flying in a ice canyon, on the map there was a waypoint on a location ahead. Next to the waypoint was a timer.
"Thirty seconds untill we reach the tradepost." Said Lion over the dropships intercom.
Iska leaned back in her seat, looking out of the window and watching as the frozen tundra passed by she was reminded of the Volgrim clan wars with the Bolgans. "Screecher nest has interresting story." she said whilst crossing her legs and putting her hands behind her head. "Corporation came mining isonite near Bolgans fortress outside sanctum, accidentaly hit screecher nest. Bolgan have problem with pest ever since" she said with a delighted tone. Anything that made the lives sour for the Bolgans was a good thing in her eyes.
Lion looked back into the rear compartment from the pilot seat.
"Iska did you say isonite? I seem to recall that being used in the manufacturing of weapons-grade explosives, among other things. Are the screechers drawn to it?"
Iska thought about it for a while and and answered.
"No. Screecher nest just locate near isonite vein. Is only by chance."
Pondering the nests location, Iska came up with a brilliant plan in her mind.
"Is possible to detonate entire mine to collapse nest. But explosion would need to be at old refinery deep in mine for full effect." she said. Blowing up miles upon miles of tunnels seemed like an exciting event, she reckoned.
"While that might be an effective way of getting rid of the Screeches, I'm not sure if Helix would approve of us blowing their mining system into dust."
Iska shrugged. "Iska only along for mission" she replied.
"How we deal with nest is captains problem"
Lion nodded.
"Oorah on that one."
As the ship made a turn around the corner of a iceformation they left the canyon area. Infront of the ship was a flat tundra with only one formation, that formation being located at the centre of the tundra area.
Ontop of the formation was a large spire-like structure with several towers reaching for the sky.
They had reached the tradepost.
Four large grey pillars the size of Archius's hangar kept the tradepost standing far above the gun.
A series of weapon platforms were mounted alongside the side of the structure, some aimed at the ground and some aiming up towards the sky.
As the dropship approached the tradepost a pair of the AA-guns suddenly started moving and took aim on the ship.
A large sign at the top of the structure had the name 'Shaft 7 Tradepost' printed in various languages.
Several landing platforms in different sizes and shapes were sticking out of the structure.
Lion opened up comms with the tradepost.
[Doom, time to shine.]
"This is Roughrider hailing Shaft 7 Tradepost, over. Requesting permission to land for resupply operation."
Several masked operators acted in confusion until they realized the Inquistion was going to start near out in the tundra. "Roger Roughrider this is Trade 7. I'd need some specific background for you guys coming here." An operator said .
"Roger Roughrider this is Trade 7. I'd need some specific background for you guys coming here." Was heard on the ship comms.
"Copy Trade 7, we're enroute to Sanctum for a Inquisition operation. However we though that we should make a quick stop and buy us some additional weaponry and munitions before proceeding. After that we'll be on our way."
Replied Lion.
The operator turned to his partner from the robot's response, raising a thumbs up as he wheeled back to his intercom. He pressed a button and checked the occupy status on landing platforms. "Alright Roughrider, you're clear to enter, your designated landing platform is: Pad 13. You should see the large number on the platform. Good luck, over."
Lion nodded. "Understood Trade 7, heading there now. Over and out." The ship began circling the structure before finally touching down. As the dropship began landing the rear ramp was slowly lowered.
The landing was cushioned by the landing gear and as the ramp was fully deployed a light in the dropship turned green.
"Alright, Arthur & Dwan I suggest you go and looks for some crossbows. I'd help you but to be honest crossbows is one of the few weapons I know very little of."

Pfft not like they'd be able to hit us
Thanks, mate.
Iska stepped out onto the platform and lit another cigarette while looking out across the tundra. She had joined this crew to see the galaxy, but instead her first mission took place on the rock she had known for 26 years.
She chuckled at the thought. But somehow it felt nice to get to know the crew in a famailiar environment, because dealing with all the new races and their own quirks and traditions was enough of an experience to begin with.
"Can do! Dwan, remember where we parked!" Arthur leapt off of his seat, tugging the bartender along with him as he went.
He walked quickly along the various shops and markets, settling on a stall that caught his eye; one that very obviously sold alternative weapons, given the sword, katana and mace decorations sprinkled around it. As he walked over to it, Arthur spied a couple of crossbows in the back too.
"Dwan, would you do me the honours of bartering with this man? A scientist like me hasn't a clue how to do so, while a bartender certainly would."
