[QUOTE=Viper123_SWE;47444561]"I got Sanctum on the scope. Arthur, you better call your friend and tell her that we're here. Ask what pad they're at while you're at it."
[/QUOTE]
"Can do, my friend!" Arthur replied, bringing Perra's number up and putting her on loudspeaker.
"Perra, my darling! My crew is here and ready to land. Tell us which helipad we should land on, and we'll be ready to fight ASAP."
Iska's scream startled Varn, since he was busy looking for potential threats and got use to the hum of the engine.
"So you use to go on air-raids?"
Perra checked her holo band beeping hearing Arthur say something.
"Perra, my darling! My crew is here and ready to land. Tell us which helipad we should land on, and we'll be ready to fight ASAP."
"Ready to fight? No, Arthur we're only getting briefed from Helix, we're not fighting Screechers yet! Whatever you're thinking don't shoot!" She exclaimed, seeing her men in place as other mercs packed their stuff, awaiting further speech from the Leader of Helix.
"Drop off in Pad 19! I'll meet you when you land!" Perra quickly said.

"When clan go hunt jormungar during light season, we take drop ship. Of course, clan gunship have more gun" she said, giving Varn a smug smile.
With one hand, Yanim moved the selector switch of the Type-1 into contact-mode, and the sound of a sharp click emanated from the weapon, indicating a successful interface between the cartridge and receiver. In effect, the gun was loaded with the safety engaged, no problems indicated. With the other hand, gently held the controls of the dropship to ensure readiness to take full command if need-be. On her back, a crossbow had taken the place of the Type-1, which was not between her legs. The crossbow was large, archaic, and unwieldy- she hoped to only use it as a last resort.
"Oh, don't you worry your pretty little head, Perra! It was merely an expression. We're coming in to land now." Arthur said, turning to Lion to relay orders.
"Pad 19, pilot. Perra will meet us there."
Perra sighed in relief, she felt so dumb. At least she saw their dropship coming down, if only it wasn't so foggy and cold she might be able to spot it in a snap. "Let's go." Perra's men walked down through the crowd, hurrying as fast as she could be.
[QUOTE=Radley;47444961]"When clan go hunt jormungar during light season, we take drop ship. Of course, clan gunship have more gun" she said, giving Varn a smug smile.[/QUOTE]
"Oh you're a big game hunter? I have to remember that next time I'm at home base at Boome. Should bring you along to hunt some really big beasts." He grinned although hidden by his helmet.
"Ten-four." Lion did a thumbs up with his right hand before initiating the landing. Before landing the dropship circled the rather large outpost that was sprawling with all kinds of mercenaries. Many of the platforms were full of ships, each ship looking different than the others.
Then of course there were the Helix who wore uniforms, sticking out like sore thumbs in the mixed crowds.
After almost having circled the entire outpost Lion spotted a large landingpad with the number 19 printed on. A medium-sized ship was already there, taking up half the platform.
"Alright, beginning my descent. You can unstrap and stand ready for disembarkment if you wish."
The dropship slowly rotated, pointing its rear towards the ramp leading up to the landing pad. The distance became smaller and smaller untill the landing gear cushioned the landing and the comaprtment light turned green.
"Alright, everybody out then!" Lion turned off all of the systems before unstrapping himself, he waited in line and was the last person to exit the ship. As soon as he was out he locked the rear door, he intended to participate during the briefing to determine if gunship support was really needed.
[QUOTE=kilerabv;47444690]Varn was looking at sledge the whole time while they were on stratos. He finally asked him
"Hey big guy, considering you obviously prefer melee, whats your plan when we start fighting the big acid spitting insects? Because I want to know."
[/QUOTE]
"Prefer melee? More like I prefer ass-kicking!" Sledge flexed. "I don't exchange blows, I deposit them into the First Thrash-inal Bank in a Laughing-at-your-Expense Account!"
Sledge brandished his hammer. " This isn't just an everyday sledgehammer, it's the Workmaster T-8200! Meant for men who like to tear down buildings for fun and monsters for sport. They don't even sell these things in regular stores because so few people can handle them. It's got built-in kinetic amplifier technology that'll tear your arm right out of its socket if you ain't got the beef. So you look at my muscles and you look at my hammer and you ask me again what my plan is!"
Iska didnt even wait for the ship to touch down properly before vaulting down to the platform. Examining Perras crew she spotted a familiar face in the crowd. Iska let out a hearty laughter. "Ey Bubal, shtota die shorr tak skoshit bakom" Iska shouted to Bubal with a taunting tone in her voice.
Bubal looked back at her with an annoyed expression on his face. Seeing his reaction Iska let out a short laugh.
Viper looked around and said "Alright, everyone we're here to do a bug hunt for some credits. Nothing to risk your life over, now don't - Viper is cut off As Iska runs out of door. Annoyed by the soft-carbon's foolhardiness, Viper get's ready as well. Despite the looks, the Sanghvi are quite swift as Viper jumps off the door and landing on the pad. The Sanghvi looking around notices the soft-carbons that are sharing the payment are here. Viper stands and waits for the rest of the team to disembark.
[when the squad members are talking to each other, are they being broadcast to the ship? I'd like to know since Jeb is on the ship]
Varn was too busy listening to Sledge boasts that he didn't notice that the ship had landed. After the large and probably crazy man had finished, he nodded his head and gave him a thumbs up. He got out the ship and looked at the sea of mercenaries that had gathered.
There were merc groups from all around the galaxy. "The Alpha" sisters were bickering with the "Omega brothers" as usual. The brown clad "Kabelas" were comparing trophy's of hunted prey, while the black and white "Death vigil" were standing around staring daggers at everyone. He saw a few "Gold dusts" walking around which meant that the job payed well, even if it meant that their bastard splinter group, the "Stardust's", was probably running around. He finally saw a few Boome marines talking with other mercs but he didn't feel the need for a meet and greet. He just stood outside the ship with Viper and kept guard.
[QUOTE=enigmarage;47445415][when the squad members are talking to each other, are they being broadcast to the ship? I'd like to know since Jeb is on the ship][/QUOTE]
[I guess the comms could get broadcasted to the Archius, at least when they're using the dropships intercom. It's up to Doom tho.]
[I'd rather have comms to Archius in the Dropship or something that has a comm that can be channeled through.]
Once Jeremy got off the dropship, he walked over to Arthur and Perra.
"You are Perra correct? I am Captain Jeremy Spacehawk of Archius XI" Jeremy said.
"Arthur here told me that the pay is 20 million split half...but I don't understand how that will work out considering there are tons of other crews here." Jeremy said.
Perra glanced at him including Arthur she smirked and extended her hand to Jeremy. "Pleased to meet you Cap, glad to join us." She said as they shook hands, though for some reason they both got the feeling they weren't gonna get along well.
"Well you see Cap, there's a specific reason why it's called Bug Hunt because..." She folded her arms, face straightened up. "We're supposed to kill the Screecher Queen. All these crews are here to find the golden egg, each nest could have her. Who knows, it's a gamble. The crews who kill it gets the credits."
As Jeb was listening in on the dropship comms, one thought kept buzzing in his mind. "Hmm, I may want to keep an eye on this 'Sledge' fellow. He seems to be somewhat, er, brutal. Hopefully I won't have to do a therapy session on him."
[apologies if I'm terrible at the RP, I've never really done one before]
Yanim climbed out of the dropship and stretched her legs. While the others had shopped at the trading post, she stayed behind because she didn't see the value in paying for any additional weapons with her own money when the crew was already awash with them. Everyone spread out to inspect their temporary allies, mostly due to curiosity. There were aliens from all reaches of the galaxy, but most were human or kherigan. Then, to her surprise, she spotted a small group of kanads doing their best to stand out of the way.
"Rakir, skedet!"
One of them spotted Yanim and immediately alerted the others, and soon she was standing with the group as if reunited with old friends. One by one, they introduced themselves: Kagran, Orik, Siris, and Gataska were their names, and each came from a different background. Kagran was a Sidikan as well, but grew up in a mining colony far away from Kanadys. He was shaky and obviously addicted to something. Orik graduated high in his class, but was beaten for a city-council position by a clansman with better connections. Siris and Gataska were both Vor'Pangn, but not closely related. The former was a veteran who had been wounded in an anti-pirate operation, while the latter was a contracted laborer, much like Yanim.
Each had come from a different crew aside from Kagran and Siris, and all were excitedly trying to exchange information aside from Yanim, as they were staying on Rigel for some time longer.
"[I can't s-stand the way they look at me,]" Kagran complained, "[I know they hate us but they c-could at least give me a chance-]"
"[You get used to it after a while,]" Gataska interrupted, before being interrupted herself.
"[They can go fuck themselves,]" Orik added. "[You've got nothing to be ashamed of. You ought to show them what you're made of once in a while.]"
"[He doesn't have it in him,]" postured Siris. ["And you, who are you, young one?"]
"[Yanim Sidikan, from Ébo. I'm contracted to do maintenance for a human ship, just passing through.]"
"[Maintenance?]" Gataska scoffed. "[Is the engine infested with skargas?]" She was talking about Yanim's weapons, which were more powerful than any of the others in the group aside from Siris, who happened to be carrying an OBS, a fleet-standard RPG launcher in addition to his pistol. He cracked a smile.
"[Small crew, I'd bet.]"
"["Yes, exactly,]" replied Yanim. "[I'm having to play multiple roles to help protect us and the cargo.]"
"[Oh?]" Orik suddenly perked up. "[It's that sort of mission, eh? Fly by the frayed knot?]" He asked, conjuring the image of a supporting rope that was near its breaking point. Not waiting for the answer, he continued. "[Who's in charge? Khergians?]"
"[Humans,]" Yanim replied. The others sucked in air through their teeth and grimaced slightly.
"[Be careful with that sort of business, I've known others who have worked for humans. They get tricked into breaking trade law and lose their transit pass."] Gataska was referring to a document which allowed for interstellar travel without revoking Collective citizenship. The Collective was very strict about its trade policies and would not hesitate to label a one-time offender as an outlaw or even a pirate. Yanim shook her head at the notion.
"[My crew is too weird to run a competent smuggling operation. We almost lost our cargo to a band of Kercen pirates right after we set off.]"
"[Oh, that must have been a scare,]" Siris commented. "Did you kill any of 'em?]" Siris was only joking, but the group went silent when Yanim replied that she had indeed killed some of the pirates. A moment later, Kagran sneered and insisted that Yanim must be lying. Gataska followed suit, reassuring Yanim that she didn't need to impress them. The latter kept a straight face, however, and the sneers gave way to uneasiness. Siris had never doubted her.
"[Are you staying?]" Orik finally asked. "[What ship are you on?]"
"[It's called the Archius, some rig Harkark recently shat out. Eh, actually it's alright. Well made, badly designed. But while I'd appreciate some time with my kinsfolk, we're actually leaving pretty much as soon as this job is over.]"
"[That's a sh-shame,]" replied Kagran, trying his best to sound sweet. "[I would have loved to g-get to know you.]"
"[You'd have to wait your turn, anyway,]" Yanim said with a sigh. "[I feel like the head scientist has had his eyes glued to me all day.]" Several in the group reacted viscerally. "[I know,]" Yanim continued. "[This guy is twice my age and he's known me for less than a week. He's aware I want nothing to do with him but I think that just turns him on. That, or the fact that I'm the only female on board who's not a fucking troglodyte.]"
Gataska sneered. "[What a creep.]"
Lion approached Yanim. His voice became a garbled mess untill it was suddenly clear when his vocals adjusted to the Kanad language.
"[Reuniting with your kinsmen I see, I hope you didn't forget to tell them about your incredible shot at that old grenade which pretty much saved Josephs life.]" Said Lion, crossing his arms.

"Are you serious? You expect me to risk my crew and waste resources for a 1 in 8 chance of getting the credits?" Jeremy asked with an agitated tone.
"I knew I should have said no."
[editline]2nd April 2015[/editline]
"Arthur, this was a stupid idea." Jeremy said.
Arthur put his hands up and sighed.
"So sue me for believing in our team! The computer clearly stated we barely have enough resources to make it two weeks, and our chances are significantly improved when working with Perra and her team! I doubt there would of been another opportunity with such a good chance for the next week or so. Maybe we wouldn't of had to do this if your chief engineer hadn't of escaped from a valuable ship that we so easily had in our grasp. Then, we could of not only sold that ship, but we also could of taken its cargo, turned in its crew, and used its resources for the betterment of our journey."
"Relax, Captain" Perra said towards him, eyes narrowed as she just got a toothpick in her mouth. "I wouldn't offer you guys to join me if I didn't have a good ass plan, but I do." She sighed in frustration. "Look, once this party starts I'll let you in on my secret plan. It will work out, trust me."
"All we need are two crews shaking each other's hands and doing what we have to do."
She looked at Bubal attempting to glare towards Iska but she still laughs. "Bubal, quick messing around. The shows about to start." She said as they noticed security stood An announcement was about to start.

"Fine, but if ANY of my crew members die, and I mean ANY, you will be sorry." Jeremy said.
As viper looked on as soft carbon crewmates talked and haggle with there kin and yet. No matter how hard Viper looked though the crowd, none sanghvi could be seen. Just a wave of soft carbons and several hard carbons. A yet another Pyrrhic reminder of the Sanghvi's piace within the gaxlay. Viper looked away and tired to push the feelings of jealousy and contempt for these soft carbons as build there empires on what the Sanghvi had buit by the tens of thousands.
Viper had suppress these Petty emotions as they are just non blased racism from the old colonies. At any rate followed behind the captain. As the ship and her crew was something that Viper had that other Sanghvi within the gaxlay had loss. Someone to fight for.
Viper walked behind Jeremy. The implant detected that the soft carbon was distressed. Sir, is something wong? Viper asked.

"It's....it's fine Viper." Jeremy said.
[Im going to bed and I have some things to do tomorrow, so Ill be gone for a while. Until then feel free to use Varn as an NPC partner with a good AI.]
While Jeremy and Perra discussed the details about the mission, Iska did some catching up with Bubal.
"[Bubal, you son of a bitch. I haven't seen you or your brother since that pub brawl after last years hunting season]" she said whilst raising her closed fist above her head to greet him. "[Same to you, I heard you were going to try to get off this planet for a while so how come you're still knocking about?]" Bubal replied whilst offering her a cigarette. Iska lit the cigg and continued, "[my crew decided to try their hand at this contract before leaving, thats why]" Iska replied. Bubal looked a bit interrested. "[Your crew the ones who just got out of that dropship?]".
Iska looked around at her crew, all going about with their own business. Iska shrugged, "[it's a rag tag crew, but they seem all right. Only thing negative so far is that we got a kanad with us]" she said whilst pointing in Yanims direction. Bubal sneered, "[kanad... She been acting like an upstuck cunt yet?]". Iska glanced at Yanim quickly, "[No, not yet. But I suspect shes going to get an ego boost from hanging around her kin.]" Iska reasoned. "[Heard she killed a few pirates, so she might have about 4-5 kills]". Bubal chuckled and gave Iska a questioning look, "[Against your what? 34?]" he replied while wearing a big grin. Iska gave Bubal a serious look, "[Mohwan Arena rules, my friend. Never bet on a champion you havent seen in action]"
Bubal noded, having to admit there was a bit of truth in Iskas point. Suddenly, one of Bubals crewmates called for him. As they parted ways they decided that getting together for a drink sometime would be a good idea.
