"Yeah, we're quite high up. You can barely see the people below.", Dwan said to Varn, noticing how Sledge is flextaposing in their general direction. He then notices that Jeremy is talking to someone new. "Varn, is that a new crew member Jeremy's talking to?", he asks him. [Doom, don't forget to introduce Turatko too.]
"I'm not gonna mention the height. Last time I did that, Lion put a harness on me and send me down a hole." Varn turned around when Dwan mentioned the new crew member. "Looks like he is. Cmon lets introduce ourselves."
Vara also noticed a Rwadi coming out of the rooftop entrance. She quickly forgot about Turakto too. "I forgot all about you, my apologizes. Everyone I'd also like to introduce you to Turakto! A Rwadi. I believe he received his certification as a Technician." She also turned to Khaen. "You applied for data specialist and zoological researcher I believe."
"Ah, another scientist!" Arthur stepped forward upon hearing the Lepidopteran's interesting trade. He extended his hand to the alien. "Hello there. My name is Arthur Beasley, Head of Science aboard the Archius XI. Looks like you'll be working under me, for the most part. The zoo chambers are situated close by the science lab, so I'm sure we'll see each other often." Arthur said, smiling.

"Looks like he is. Cmon lets introduce ourselves."
Lion put his hand on Varns shoulder. "I think I heard a hint of excitement there Varn, we could do that again if you want." Lion let out a robotic laugh while giving Varn a friendly smile.
"Heh, I admit. I liked being the big hero that killed the queen, but I prefer less explosions in small caverns." Varn walked over to the new crew. "Hello new people. I am Varn. Security enforcer and I assume, the only connection to the criminal underworld on board. Pleased to meet you." He extends a hand for a handshake.
Lion grunted. "Remind me tell you about my deployment on Gartal IV when we get back to the ship." He followed Varn as he he introduced himself to the new crew. Lion did a quick salute. "Lion, Senior Enforcer aboard the Archius. I'm also the ships weapons-tech, meaning that I'm the guy you come to when you need a really big gun for that really dangerous mission."
The fellow new members shook their hands and told them about their backgrounds. I'm sure they'll be a fine asset to the crew. "Now. Harken Saw is probably waiting for us in his office. Let's hope things go well." Vara said. "Yeah. Okay everyone, let's go." Jeremy said along with his crew went to the door that leads inside. The Security Detail were ordered to stay guard outside. It was rather fancy decor, signs of roman times in here, possibly a more futuristic variation. Old fashion candles lid the room and you could even see a long red carpet in the hall way. "Harken Saw sure likes tradition." Jeremy muttered letting Vara hear his thought about the decor. "He's been collecting old antiques from centuries ago. I can't imagine what he does with them but keep them as fancy collectibles." "Why doesn't he sell them? "He's usually the highest bidder, Harken Saw doesn't want to think about "selling" stuff." Vara mentioned as she kept a gentle smile.
"Sounds like a man I would get along with!" smirked Colin.
"Trust me, Harken Saw isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be. Let's make sure not to disrespect him." Nicole pleaded as the rest nodded.
The Archius Crew and Vara saw the door slide, revealing vast darkness except a bright light incorporating a tall figure covered in a large overcoat along with a hood hiding the facial figure. It wasn't human that's for sure. A chair stood next to the figure, turning around to reveal a man in a red and black suit. Harken Saw smirked and saw the Archius Crew along with Ms. Vara at the door. The office was very large but dark, silence grew as time went by. Paintings from humanity's past were on the sides, including a picture of a heavily armored man with a sword in his position. The armor indicated it was at least in the Classical times, In fact, a name below the painting said Archius Kain. Harken Saw rose from his chair and placed his hands in his pockets, observing the members that traveled for weeks just to deliver part of the puzzle. "Ladies and gentlemen, come closer I want to see those faces." The crew replied by going forward to the bright lighting under his position. Harken Saw reached out and saw them as much as he wanted to. "Yes, you're here alright." He looked intrigued, taping his foot in order in thought. "We have much to discuss and things to keep in mind." He clasped his hands, satisfied to finally have some people that weren't businessmen to talk to.
Lion located a chair at the edge of the room and sat down. "Fancy office." He sat down, using his position to keep watch over the entire room.
"Well, every one certainly has to have a hobby in mind over their work time." Saw replied to the unit called Lion.
Dwan didn't know what to think of Saw. He was quite intimidated by him, but that's mostly because of his image. Dwan took a seat, attempting not to look nervous.
Varn sat next to the closest chair next to Lion. "And here I was thinking my little trophies back at base were something to look at." he was still looking around the room"So uh, whats next?"
Colin remained stood and observed the room and man before him. He was honestly expecting someone that looked a little bit tougher, not someone in a suit that looked that they would struggle to kill a wasp. Unless...that was the point. Colin had known the man for less than 5 seconds so he couldn't figure out what level of intellect he possessed. Perhaps he was just a boring businessman.
Arthur gave Harken a proud smile. He was honoured to be so close to his shadowy employer, for reasons most members of the crew would not understand. He could sense the confidence emanating off of the man, and a sense of discomfort that he reveled in, a feeling he had not experienced for a long time. "Mr Saw... It's an honour to meet you. My name is Arthur Beasley, I'm the head scientist aboard your marvelous ship." He said, as he shook the man's hand.
Harken Saw felt delighted to hear out a gentleman extend a handshake. "Likewise my friend, Arthur Beasley." Harken Saw felt a direct distinction since both shook, it felt the same. Deep inside this scientist had a lot of background hidden between that personality. Harken Saw noticed this. "You're a gene specialist am I correct? I wonder what useful things you've done during your time in your crew."
The man before her reminded Yanim of the Academy Headmaster of Ébo. A man required to be fully committed to the pursuit of the future while still cloaked in the aura of the past. The paintings which lined the walls were much akin to the murals which covered the concrete edifices of the Academy grounds. Tradition was pride, after all. But tradition was also very violent, and as the portrait of the human warrior attested, this was a truth shared across cultures, time and space. Harken Saw stared back at her with wizened eyes, a man with hidden depths of complexity and sophistication. She neither trusted him nor feared him. She couldn't read him. He simply was, and his presence dominated the space.
Arthur stammered a little, and blushed a little at the man's words. "A-aha, I've already done quite a bit, my friend... got us out of a sticky situation when a mess of pirates invaded the ship, as well as securing us more than enough resources to keep the ship up and running for months, if need be. In fact, I should imagine some of the reward has already made it upstream, to your offices. It's a necessity, as the head of an important sector on the ship." "I can only imagine you've done so much more, though. It takes a lot of work to get in the position you're in right now, as well as a lot of connections in the... the right places." Arthur stated, winking at Harken.
Jeb sat back and watched the conversation unfold.
Lion looked at Jeb. "I'll bet you ten creds that Harken got some surprise for us."
Harken Saw felt respected and got to know a little about Arthur, the man paused as the scientist spoke about this pirate attack and turned to Captain Jeremy. "Is the Oracle with you right now Captain? I would like to see it." Jeremy nodded and gave Harken Saw a close up on the case he was holding the entire time, opening it to reveal a glowing orb. The orb interested Harken. He proceeded to grab it by his left hand. Observing it for a good minute. He turned to the rest and showed it for everyone to see. "This orb is the heart of the Oracle. Oracle you say? Well allow me to give you your daily history lesson." He held his holo band up and pressed a few visual buttons as he connected it to his office. A hologram showed the Oracle completed, rotating on a loop. "The Oracle is a past relic eons ago that served as a power source to the long forgotten Kauzen. Alien historians had a basic idea that they were the rightful rulers of the galaxy until they disappeared or withered. Their story is scarce and vague. Imagine a powerful race that had a meaningful amount of firepower to destroy star systems but, something caused them to a state of collapse. They made attempts to create an infinite power source to prevent their collapse. They failed to prevent their deaths, of course, but they managed to develop the oracle. During the end, destroying the thing was nigh impossible so they dissembled the object. Spreading it out so no person could imitate their technology. Then that is were HarkArk found the orb in a now currently inhabited planet. I sought a way to study it, find out how it ticks and create new technologies. As of now the Oracle is the only piece of Kauzen technology that hasn't been broken beyond repair. Most people think the stories of the Kauzen are myths, fairy tales. I think they're full of bullshit to think that." Harken adjusted his tie and sighed. He looked at Jeremy as he stood being silent as he heard the story of the Kauzen. "Arthur Beasley mentioned pirates attacking the crew. What exactly did they want?" Harken Saw asked Jeremy. "Their leader Colonel Bruta told me that their intentions were to grab the Oracle and deliver it to the Crimson Son." Jeremy said. Harken Saw narrowed his eyes as he heard the term Crimson Son. He held his head up high and struggled not to swear. "This is unfortunate grim news." Harken Saw stated.
[Jeb took the bet, not sure if this bad for the timeline now. If it is, then this post comes before Doom's] "Alright, Lion, you got yourself a bet."
"This is unfortunate grim news." Harken Saw stated. Lion looked at Jeb. "Here we go..." Suddenly Lion rose from his seat. "Mr. Saw, my sensors indicate some signs of stress. What can you tell us about the Crimson Son?"
"The bastards knew I had that orb stashed in the Archius XI." Harken Saw's outburst surprised some people, breaking his calm demeanor as a gentleman. He looked at Lion and coughed. "The Crimson Son is a syndicate throughout the systems. Or we might as well call them the syndicate. Chances are you heard of them. They dominate entire black markets, multiple planets, carry a hefty load of connections. Things even the UGC doesn't know." He walked closer to the crew and had to be honest with them. They weren't the average group of thugs. They were everywhere and quite literally, your friend could be one, the local council member, even your crew member. "Believe me, pirates and mercenaries are the least of your problems out in space. This organization has no hesitation to erase you off the map. Which is why I will personally handle this situation. Unfortunately if those pirates were sent by the Crimson Son, then this means that there is a sleeper agent in my Hierarchy, possibly more that found out the Archius XI is more important than a average vessel.
Jeb said to Lion quietly, "Looks like I owe you some credits, you want cash I suppose?" Jeb then turned to Harken Saw. "Mr. Saw, if I may. What is your plan to deal with this threat?" Jeb asked.
Varn sat in his chair processing the information. "The Crimson son" was a sort of taboo subject. Spoken in hush tones around merc centers around the galaxy, but never anything confirming their existence. And now apparently not only do they exist, but they want whatever the crew has. Could they also be responsible for the "Golden wave" chasing them? "So, we have a mega shadow Syndicate after us. Are there any more dangers we should worry about?"

I cannot afford to start a war with Crimson Son just because there's an relic we both want. The outcome will be catastrophic." However one of my chief competitors TriEnterprise has increased their daily activity lately. Perhaps you should be wary of them."
"Now that we've brought you this piece of the Oracle, what's next for us?", Dwan asked in a toned down voice.
"So after ve delivered zis 'heart' to you." Joseph said. " Vat do ve do after zat?"
