Viper wasn't too surprised to find Lion within the hanger bay working on the new ships. Being the weapons technician who like a Sanghvi, that never sleeps.
"Greetings, Comrade Lion." Viper said while doing a terran salute back to Lion before walking over to the Panther. Viper took a moment to overlook the hull of the Panther. "Comrade Lion, Do you mind if I aided you in your overview of the interceptor?"
"Not at all." Lion snapped out of the salute and gestured for Viper to follow him to a small folding ladder connected to the Panthers hull.
"I've already gone through the basics and took the liberty of adding some modifications based on your old ship- I found the info in your file from the archives- so it should feel quite familiar to you."
He pointed towards the nosegun. "I repalced the standard-issue laser cannon with a plasma repeater that has been calibrated for maximum accuracy."
Lion then climbed up on a small hoverplatform next to the ship.
"I checked the engines as well before proceeding to the cockpit. Both the seat and controls have been altered to fit the Mantis suit; the ship will infact connect to your suits HUD making the ship unflyable for anyone who's not you."
He climbed down and crossed his arms. "I've also added a callsign: Talon, use it when communicating to Archius or the Striker."
A small text in both Terran and Sangvhi letters formed the word Talon, a small symbol in the shape of a mantis-like arm had been placed next to the text.
"I hope you'll find the ship comfortable and efficient." Lion went to work on the white and orange-colored HarkArk Striker fighter parked next to the Panther.
Viper was impressed to see the amount of improvements that were done in a relatively short period of time. The terran and Sanghvi letters along with the symbol was a trait that was prevalent on all of the ships that Viper has seen among Soft-carbons ships. It was a further expression of the individualism that all sentient soft-carbons races that Viper has come across seem to share.
Nevertheless, Viper found the details on the sides of the Panther to be rather cute with oversize talon and the miss-mashed combination of terran and Sanghvi letters next to it. It was the cockpit that caught the interest of Viper. It seems that Lion built the implant tether to be an almost exact copy of the older Sanghvi models. The implant tether was a feature pioneered by the Sanghvi Protectorate and was soon widespread among there rivals.
Viper climbed into the cockpit of the Panther to see that Lion modified it's layout to resemble the cockpits of the Sanghvi Fighters of the Protectorate. It all looked and felt so similar to the captured Sanghvi fighter that Viper personally fought in for most of the war. The suit connected to the tether automatically and the Panther under Viper's control. It only took a moment for the memories of the war to kick in. The sounds, the sights, it all clouded Viper's mind.
Viper climbed out of cockpit in haste, the sudden disconnection caused the suit's systems to freeze and stutter. Leaving Viper to fall upon the floor of the hanger bay.
Lion helped Viper up. "Sir, are you alright? Your neural readings are off the charts." He motioned for Viper to sit down at nearby crate.
Squish is walking through the halls when he notices Viper fall. He comes rushing in to see if he can help with anything. "Oh, I know all about the pains of having bad balance. It must be a terrible weakness to be a creature like you. When one leg goes, they all go."
Lion stared at Squish. "If you're trying to help you're doing it wrong. Besides, what are you doing in the hangar anyways?"
"No one is submitting their samples that I requested so I am out looking for some. If you would like to donate, I am always willing to receive." Squish goes back to checking and making sure Viper was alright.
(( Sorry I've been inactive for a couple days... I've very likely lost my job and haven't felt much like doing the RP. ))
(Its ok, I understand.)
(( I know YOU do. :v: ))

"Here you go then." Lion reached for his rear compartment unit and produced a tiny sample pod which revealed a tiny piece of brownish carapace with some purple-ish meat still attached to one of the sides.
"From Rigel, one of many post-fight samples I took to help my weapons development. It's from a Elder Screecher, son of a bitch didn't even flinch when I shot him with a weapon that usually tears off large chunks of other beings and punch holes through vehicle armor. Knock yourself out."
[agreed, I hope everything works out for you.]
Jeb decided to go to the range to test out his new gun. The targets were all set correctly. He drew his gun and held it with two hands. He carefully aimed down the sights and fired.
(BANG)
He scored a hit but wasn't satisfied with his shot, so he aimed and shot again.
(BANG)
His next hit was a bit better, so he then decided to work on his speed to fire. He holstered the Desperado. "I need to be ready for just about anything should it happen" He noted. He then drew his gun and fired at the target one handed.
(BANG)
"Ow!!!!!!!" The recoil from the gun coupled with his inexperience and one handed firing caused the gun to snap back and hit Jeb on the nose in the process. He then bellowed from the range, "Doctor!"
"Woohoo, my first big project on the ship. I won't let you down. I will go ri... Ah choo...right away to get this properly sealed." Squish runs off and slams into the door, forgetting to open it in his excitement. AFter a second Squish gets back up and heads down towards the science lab.
Seeing Squish getting all excited before rushing towards the lab Lion couldn't help but smile. He connected to Squish's personal earpiece.
"And Squish; It would be very useful if you could figure out what it is that makes rounds bounce off: It could be applied to our dropship, fighters and the rover."
"I'm fine, I'm fine. Don't worry about it." Viper said to Lion when being help on upon a crate, staring into lion's mechanical eyes as he persisted. "I'm fine." Viper said back to Lion with a stern voice.
It didn't take long for Viper notice the small, almost goo like creature that was walking over from the doorway that the suit's visor identified as Squish. The Biologist of the Science crew and a Feeblian.
Viper was dumbstruck that such a life form could exist, Viper felt insulted by Squish statement. Viper respond back to him in a sarcastic voice to the small Feeblian. "A Sanghvi with a bad balance?" Viper said before letting out a laugh.
"If there was such a thing, it would be dead the moment it made it's first star jump. A Sanghvi can complete the most complex algorithms in a second notice when it would soft-carbon there whole lives to barely comprehend." Viper said, letting out a chuckle before continuing om.
"But nevertheless I guess that there could such a thing in the galaxy, I mean your race seems to have been able to made it past whatever pools of liquid that you dragged your way out of." Viper said while looking above the small pool of a life form before noticing that he has already ran off.
Lion looked at Viper. "If you insist. I'll resume my work on the Striker then, holler at me if you need any assistance."
((That sucks man, I hope verything works out for you.))
(( Honestly it most likely will. It's just a very weird situation to be in and I'm preoccupied with it for the time being. I'll post more details once there's a conclusion. ))
(That sucks dude, hope something comes up.)

[I don't friggin know why couldn't I just post that reminder on the OP :v
Anyways never too late.]
Jeremy walked up to the bridge viewing everything is in order. "DomeEval, what's our destination estimate for Gadon?" He asked to the AI, activating by the question. The AI lid up. "2 days at arrival Captain."
"Good, what are our weaponry reports?" "New upgrades for Ark Cannon and Orca Turrets are at 100% capacity."
"Incendiary Missiles?"
"Payload full, it appears when direct contact they flare up the hostile." DomeEval said.
Jeremy nodded and took a seat at the captain's chair. He wondered what kind of enemy were the Crimson Son, clearly this meant that their mission was going to be more dangerous than shooting bugs. He did hear of their presence when he was still at Salvation Academy. His buddies believed they were boogeymen in cloaks or people who clearly talk the talk but not walk the walk. Of course it's still wise not to underestimate your enemy.
Lion stepped back to inspect the work he had done. Aside from Roughrider, the modification of the Striker was by far one of his biggest projects yet.
The sleek two-seat fighter craft was constructed, like most HarkArk equipment, with modularity and modification freedom in mind. Lion had replaced the nosegun with a kinetic repeater, much like the one mounted on Roughrider, while also having added a laser designator linked to the Archius' weapons.
The missilepods had been filled with plasma rockets that could both be locked and dumbfired. Front armor had been slightly reinforced while the wing armor had been replaced by a lightweight alloy, the same type of alloy used on the LWA Mantis suit.
Lion had also added a stratobooster function to the engines, when activated the engines would speed up the craft to 150% for a short duration.
The cockpit had been altered to house a set of cables which could be connected to Lion directly for maximum flight and combat efficiency.
Finally, Lion had given the craft a callsign: Eagle. A small eagles' head been engraved on the hull next to the callsign text.
[Yeah so apparently I have the flu, fuck. Will start some battle tomorrow.]
(How can I fit myself in?)
[It doesn't matter, just act like you were in the Spaceship once we left Termina Central and you have to see the captain to have your registration fully completed. You also need to post your template ]

date of birth: 2210
crew profession: officially listed as an engineer, he's more of an apprentice at that. Spends most of his time trying to help the crew in any way he can.
race: human
biography: Born on a colony world, Pippin Falk always had a fascination with the cosmos. He grew up quite well educated and was treated well. After he finished his high school education, he left his home world for his studies. After two years, he and his friends had saved up enough money to get their own small ship. He would travel with them for two years, enjoying life. They decided to give it a break, and he accepted that, and looked for new jobs...
Day 24
Mini Roll[3]: As the Archius Crew leads closer to Gadon, it was morning or at least they felt like it was. Jeremy went to the Mess Hall to get a cup of coffee, clearly he needed the energy for another day at the job. A bright blinker appeared in his holo pad. "Captain Spacehawk please report to the Bridge immediately." A monotone voice bought out. He sighed harshly and took his coffee with him.
As he went to the bridge everyone was there including the Sentinel. 'Something must be going on.' Jeremy thought as they found Gadon at the distance. What they just saw was an orbital bombardment happening right now. He widened his eyes and saw a fleet came in, their hulls were based on Holy Terran design like something out a corrupted church's cathedral.
A transmission opened up and Jeremy redundantly accepted. A man with a pope hat along with some futuristic gas mask covered his entire head. Wearing a priesthood tunic with armor encased. Gloves included of course.
"Heed me my good friend as we cleanse this planet due to its wrathful beings. The inhabitants on this planet are sinners and we'll make an example of them!" The extremist pointed his finger up, yelling through his command bridge.
Jeremy was at a lost, if they were bombarding the planet right now that means they may be the Crimson Son or someone else. "Any ideas?"
"Reason with them first, knock 'em down if they refuse to cease fire. Either we have two stealth fighters, we could easily get in position inside their shields and blow up their engines etc."
Lion sighed.
"It's going to be a suicide mission though, I volunteer to fly Eagle. If needed I can paint targets for Archius."
"Captain, I must recommend to run immediate scan of the planet surface to locate the origin of the Oracle fragment signal. If it is still intact, we could focus fire on hostile who are likely to attack that position. Maybe gather away-team?"
"Ask them who they are and what they do. Then we could check if we have anything on them.", Dwan said.
