"GRANATE!" Joseph yelled as he threw the grenade. To his horror, it didn't explode in the pirate's face like he expected. "Dummkopf!" Joseph cursed as he slide into cover, blindly firing at the direction of gunshots.
Dolosus kept frozen like a statue for a few seconds as he realised how insanely lucky he was. His gun, being significantly smaller than a human body, had easily managed to fit under the elevator. With only his left arm functional, he stretched towards the gun and managed to grab it. Hearing the action happening just above him, he pushed the elevator's floor panel open with the gun and popped his head out. After a bit of wriggling, he managed to squeeze into the elevator proper and began sneaking towards the medical room which was right before the hanger. He slung the gun over his left shoulder and held his wounded right arm. There was some sort of firefight happening past the medical room, but only a few stray shots came this far down the hallway.
Yanim had tuned the selector switch to full-open on the receiver so she could supply suppressive fire. The gun, now primed, began to emit a whirring sound as the plasma cartridge began to grow hot. When the two reached the hangar bays, Joseph hurled his antique grenade and Yanim supplied suppressive fire, but to no avail, as the bomb bounced and landed in the open without exploding. "Shnka!" (Shit!) Yanim dove for cover as the pirates noticed them. Remembering the location of the failed grenade, she decided to try shooting it where it lay in hopes of causing an explosion.
Mini-Roll:[2] Another action gone wrong for Joseph as two of the pirates proceeded forward, suppressing fire. At one last glance one pirate aimed at Joseph's human head, about to pull the trigger until- Second Mini-Roll:[8]: Yanim's focus on the thrown antique grenade was at least worth a try, the small aim will need to be very lucky in order to get both since the grenade was between the two enemies. One shot was all it took, in a quick milli sec, the grenade exploded dramatically, turning the two pirates into bloody limbs and guts. There were only three pirates in the Hangar Bay now. Yanim had most likely saved Joseph's life!
"DANKE COMRADE!" Joseph thanked Yanim. [editline]29th March 2015[/editline] Now it's time for Joseph to do something for the fight. He took out one of the smoke grenades he smuggled aboard, pulled the pin and threw it into the pirates.
Yanim picked herself off the floor, having fallen on her rear in surprise at the intensity of the blast. She sneered happily at the sight of her success. "Yashta! Is good! We move forward, human!"
Now it's time for Joseph to do something for the fight. He took out one of the smoke grenades he smuggled aboard, pulled the pin and threw it into the pirates.
Mini-Roll:[7] After that "small" blast and puddle of green blood, Joseph attempted to throw another grenade albeit one full of smoke. The grenade was thrown at the three pirates who were suppressing Lion, the smoke popped out as it gave the doctor an advantage. The pirates had no idea they were about to get ambushed.
The medical bay, being the closest to the hanger, had the most stray shots coming from the firefight. A flash and a loud bang from down the hallway startled Dolosus and he winced as he realised a small bit of shrapnel had ricocheted and lodged itself in the otherwise clean wound. He found a cabinet of supplies and cringed at the irony of having nominated himself as first-aid. Taking it like a man, he pinched out the shrapnel and bandaged himself as tightly as could using only his mouth and left arm. With bloodied bandages on one arm and a gun held by the other, he mentally prepared himself to finish the fight. Seeing a second bang go off, this time a smoke grenade, Dolosus kicked a steel operating table. It went sliding down the hall and stopped a metre from the hangar door. He stomped it over and took cover. From here could see the silhouettes of three attackers, as well as Lion, Yanim, and Joseph. There were also gooey bits all over the hanger floor. He braced the gun over the table and fired with his left hand. He wasn't worried about accuracy since the hangar boarders were now outnumbered.
As a explosion rocked the far end of the hangar, the remaining pirates ceased fire for a moment. Lion made sure not to waste any time, sending a deafening sound towards the pirates before rushing towards them at a alarming speed.
"Wait we have power vests?!" exclaimed Jordon overlooking Joseph while he was putting his vest on. Jordon rummaged through the pile of weapons and tools until he found another vest which was similar but not quite the same as Josephs. Jordon realized that the rest and many stripes of white across it and was quite similar to his gun, with some fiddling he manged to find a power button on the vest and Jordon suddenly light up like a Christmas tree. "High-Energy Light System Power Vest activated." The suit announced. Jordon realized the vest was the counter-part for his gun. With some modification Jordon manged to get the suit into a stealth like mode, lowering down the illumination of it's lights. He also found a cord on the vest which connect perfectly to the pistol.
He braced the gun over the table and fired with his left hand. He wasn't worried about accuracy since the hangar boarders were now outnumbered.
Mini-Roll:[4] As reality ensues, Dolosus's accuracy using his left arm was rather poor, barely aiming at the smoke covered targets, understandable really. Mini-Roll Critical Success!:[10] Lion's unspeakable speed near the smoke freaked the remaining pirates out, their shots were everywhere. Lion quickly took Joseph's advantage of a smoke grenade and snapped one pirate's neck with no effort. One pirate went up and attempted to shoot him, backfiring completely when the robot grabbed the shotgun off her hands and melee'd her on the ground. Knocking her out.
There was only one pirate left on the Hangar Bay, he was outnumbered from one to four. Panicking and nearly out of ammo, he hurried to a corner and wanted to take a shot at one of them. Believing the battle has gone in favor to them, he pulled out a pistol and slowly aimed it towards below his head. Pulling the trigger, his head popped as green blood spread on the floor. Leaving a corpse for the janitor to clean up. This battle on the Hangar was won.
"Status?" Yelled Lion before examining the knocked out pirate. "Seems like we have a prisoner now too, huh." Lion looked up at Joseph and Yanim.
"Ooo hoo hoo! Fresh test subjects, and a clear canvas too!" Joseph said in delight as he examined the unconscious pirate. " I have some many test I vish to do! Can I?"
Yanim searched the corners of the room for any remaining pirates. Finding none, she lowered her rifle and cheered with relief. Her hands were trembling and her heart was beating; involuntarily she fell against a wall and slid to the ground. There, she composed herself and took deep breaths. "More on middle deck, no?" she asked.
"That will be up for the captain to decide, right now she goes into the brig." Lion picked her up and carried the pirate on one of his shoulders. Before he left the hangar he extended his arm to greet Joseph and Yanim. "I don't think we've met yet. I am Lion, security officer and weapons tech. If you ever need a gun, ask me."
Their holo bands beeped in accordance to the ship AI DomeEval. "Be advised, Captain Spacehawk is currently engaging enemy intruders between the Market Sector and Storage Sector. It would be a good time to assist before it is too late."
"Alright everyone! To ze elevator! Schnell! Do remember to take a higher step as zhere a smoke tripwire trap at ze bottom of ze elevator door."
"My time to shine" Jordon thought as he began to walk towards the elevator. "Anyone else comming?!" Jordon yelled out as he was standing near the elevator.
Lion nodded and began moving towards the elevator. While passing through the medbay he spotted Dolosus. "Are you alright?" Lion asked before dropping down the prisoner on the floor tieing her up face down. "Stay here and watch the prisoner, I will come back and get her shortly. Lion then went into the elevator with Joseph.
"Just make sure I'm inside the elevator this time..." Dolosus said ruefully as he stepped into it
Jordon, realizing no one else was coming repeatedly pressed the call elevator button.
"I guess someone really wants the elevator." Said Lion.
"Vat about ze prisoner?"
As the elevator arrived at the top Jordon walked in and then positioned himself among the others. "So, whats your names?" Jordon said.
"Vat about ze prisoner?"
Dolosus volunteered and stepped out of the elevator before it was too late. "I'm the cripple right now. Can't be too hard to guard a breathing corpse"
"I am Joseph Heilburg, ze doctor of ze ship! You've might've heard of me."
"And I'm Dolosus. Save the formalities and kick some ass!" Dolosus replied, and smiled just as the elevator doors sealed shut. [editline]29th March 2015[/editline] Dolosus dragged a fold-out chair into the hangar and kept the gun on his lap, in case the sleeping hostage stirred. 'Knowing my luck I probably wouldn't land a hit on this guy either' he thought to himself as he sat down to guard the prisoner
As the elevator arrived at the top Jordon walked in and then positioned himself among the others. "So, whats your names?" Jordon said.
"Lion. Security officer and weapons tech. No, I'm not your average robot and yes, I can make guns. Just tell me when"
"Nice to meet you all, I'm Jordon. Jordon Freeman, you propably heard about me from the White Mesa incident." Jordon said. "A robot and a mad doctor" Jordon thought.
Captain Spacehawk, when and if you happen to pass by Rigel in the northern rim I must instruct you to acquire our newest employee: [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/6BX6yy.jpg[/t] Name: Iska Volgrim Date Of Birth: 2358 (26 years) Crew Profession: Engineer Race: Khergian Biography: The rimworld of Rigel is what the Khergians call home, but others call a frozen wasteland of war. Iska was born the only daughter of the clans weaponsmith. Helping her father, she learned a great deal about mechanics.
