(( Sorry I thought the ramp went the other direction like the LZ was higher than the sphere. Apologies for any confusion. ))
Having safely loaded Hercules onto the dropship, Sledge ran back up the ramp to meet up with Lion. He passed Pippin, Varn, and Iska on the way. He slowed just long enough to make sure Iska was unconscious. With her out cold and with Varn on the ship, he told himself Hercules would be okay for the duration of the trip but he still couldn't shake the uneasiness.
He had to do his best to keep moving. The sooner they grabbed the artifact, the sooner Sledge could get back on the ship.
Reaching the top of the ramp, Sledge nabbed a few hoverpods and began placing them around the sphere.
When all the pods had been placed, Lion engaged them. Surprisingly, when the pods attached themselves to the sphere they were left unharmed for some reason. Slowly the sphere began hovering before gaining more and more altitude.
"Cap! Tell the Archius that we have a priority object in need of transport at 2500 meters!" He looked at Sledge.
"Grab Herc and double back to the ship, we're getting the hell out of here."
Lion placed some explosives in the crater where the sphere used to rest before deploying a hologram.
He then ran to the Eagle and began starting up the systems.
"Viper, sir, I need you to start up Talon and escort Roughrider back to the Archius. I'm going to buy us some time."
Eagle took off towards the enemy fleet.
Before going inside the Roughrider, Varn noticed a larger bone with some meat on it left from the creature that attacked them earlier. He picked it up and carried it on board. He scraped the meat off and placed it in a ration box and gave the bone to Hercules. "You did good out there boy, have a treat."
Varn then helped Pippin carry Iska on board. Unless the crew wanted something from him, he would be watching over Iska.
"Any chance we can do this without angering religious fanatics?" Pippin, looking around nervously.
"Apparently that's not an option right now." Jeremy quickly said as he activated his holo band to signal the Archius. "This is Captain Jeremy, we are in need of transport along with a priority object! I repeat we are in need of transport, we are out of damn time!" Jeremy shouted.
"Copy that Captain, eta 5 mins." She said. His holo band deactivated and he still can't keep himself together. "I hope Lion doesn't get himself killed for this."
Lion zoomed past the Archius, several crusiers and frigates we're closing in from the rear.
"Alright, here we go." said Lion quietly to himself as the nosegun deployed alongside missile tubes.
Lion flipped the button safety on the joystick before clicking it. A single blue-colored rocket was fired off, heading to the center of the small fleet.
"I'll be damned if this EMP refuses to work."
"You had better have a plan for once we get back to the ship!"
Viper let go Iska, after being know being knocked down to into ground by the a styth. Viper didn't resisted after overcoming the memory and let the synth put Viper's talons into the mud.
The synth let go of Viper after a moment, letting Viper stand up and looked over to the wounded Iska. The wounded soft-carbon staring into dark blue visor of the Exo-suit towering above her as the rain begin to pour. Viper walk over to her and met eyes with her, shocked to see what the Sanghvi had done to her.
After Iska fell face forwards into into ground cold. Viper hang her over the shoulder and carried her back onto the Roughrider's crew compartment, setting her down on a seat close to the door.
Viper turn towards the Captain "Sir, you take care of Iska. There's still something I need to do. " Viper said as the Sanghvi turn to the open back door of the Roughrider. "See you in the stars sir" Viper said before sprinting out of the dropship towards the Talon.
[You meant that you left her in Roughrider, right?]

Mini Roll [7]: Lion waged war with the Divinity Creed, he remembered the times where he fought one of their last strongholds and pushing them away. Good times always last and fortunately this was a good moment to sit through. The blue rocket went straight to the small fleet, fighters preparing to strike until a blue aura dispersed from the rocket as it collided with a big frigate.
The aura spread throughout the fleet one by one, receiving the EMP shockwave. No ship had the chance to move through. Of course the Creed's ships have advanced in the past years, Lion doesn't expect the effect to be permanent.
"What's the word on that transport?"
"1 Minute!" Jeremy said as he prepared everyone on the Roughrider. "Get to Roughrider right now, we're out of time." He then saw at least a couple of military transports flying straight at the LZ, showing a dedicated church militant design.
"Son of a... How did they get here?" Jeremy wondered.

Ever since his conversation with Varn over the comm, Dwan was rigorously checking the outside cameras on the ship through the bar's monitor to see what was happening. Then, he saw it. Zealot ships descending onto Gadon and what appears to be one of the Archius' ships shooting down their ships.
"This is going to be uglier than Doom Marines fighting Daimons from Tartaros.", Dwan said to himself. He switches his comm frequency so that he can send everyone on the Archius a message. "The zealots have engaged, I repeat, the zealots have engaged.", he said in a panicked voice.
"When will it end?" Varn thought to himself. He started giving covering fire from the Roughrider. "Better hurry up and get in."
As Viper ran though the bodies of the 4ft dead bugs that now lettered the swamp, nearly tipping as there bodies begin to shift around as the surrounding area begin to flood.
The Exo-suit was able to detect several dozen unknown radio signatures converging on them, However it was too late for Viper to react as muzzle flashes begin to light up the treeline. As their bullets begin to glance the Exo-suit, Viper responded with the deployment of a smoke screen with the hopes of losing them in the dense fora.
As some of the ships were affected by the EMP, Lion began engaging the targets. He fired off a salvo with the kinetic repeater, hoping to hit a group of three dropships.
Pippin climbed into the ship and fired at a squad of troopers.

Mini Roll Critical Failure[highlight][1][/highlight] Varn took cover from a tree, blind firing whenever as there were numerous, if not a platoon. The merc saw a couple of disciples coming this way along with Zealot Kalpyr. Varn was quick but not quick enough, he fired a few rounds at them until Kalpyr sprinted as he collapsed his dual smgs.
"AAAARRRGHH!"
Kalpyr yelled in fury as he immediately jumped and did a back flip kick towards Varn, knocking him down to the ground.
"I kick arse for the lord!" Kalpyr shouted, raising a fist towards the air.

Mini Roll Critical Success![highlight][10][/highlight]: Viper noticed the on coming muzzle flares, they were here and they weren't gonna back off. Viper calculated the amount of enemies and odds against them. They needed some illusion. Viper deployed a modified smoke screen. In no less than a few seconds the smoke spawned around the flora. It was her chance to strike she located the confusing targets and fired immediately. Picking them off one by one.

Mini Roll [3]: Lion hurried across the planet and came back to the LZ, noticing it was getting invaded by fanatics. He switched to the kinetic repeater and aimed at the dropships firing. A salvo went straight towards them but not colliding, missing completely. The dropships turned to Lion's ship, engaging with him as he proved threat worthy.

Mini Roll [3]: Pippin went straight to Roughrider and blindfired, he sought cover first in the ship. He saw the incoming troopers firing at them like a pack of heretics. Unfortunately, the odds were against them and things were looking grim. As he was firing a disciple took aim and shot him through the side of his torso.

Mini Roll Critical Success [highlight][9][/highlight]: Lion make sure the dropships were off his tail, he needed to help out his comrades so they can leave immediately. He activated his cluster bombs in his cargo, opening up his payload when he saw the direct spot with a bunch of Creed soldiers piled up. The cluster bombs spread out into packs, dropping down like candy for halloween. The amount of bombs activated on impact with the ground, exploding and consuming troops left and right.

Mini Roll [3]: After the cluster bombing, the Zealot looked around him as the flora burned and caught fire. It was a sight to behold for the lord and his followers to see, he got distracted and saw his surroundings. With every inch of struggle, Pippin raised his handgun towards the commander of the Fleet. He pulled the trigger and outcame the bullet.
The round came until he missed miserably and the commander took notice. Kalpyr turned to Pippin and fired a few rounds, retreating to seek safety from aerial attacks. "Heretic, your skills of accuracy are lacking. For your attempts to kill me are futile!"
After the bombs hit, Lion engaged the stratoboosters to outrun the dropships. He closed in on a Creed frigate that was trying to intercept the Archius.
Due to its small size, it had no shields and as such Lion fired off three salvos of kinetic projectiles at an alarming speed aimed towards the bridge of the small ship.

Sledge had started to return to the ship at Varn's command and was partway down the ramp when he heard gunfire.
He was completely exposed on the ramp, so he quickly jumped over the edge and slid down the rain-slick side of the structure, eventually landing in the swamp. He needed to close the distance without getting blasted to bits. Despite being more accustomed to fighting against thugs in alleyways, Sledge was sure he could adapt his mighty battle skills to be effective down in the trudgemank.
Stripping off his shirt and jacket he grabbed a few handfuls of sticky mud and covered himself from head to toe. This would surely camouflage him against any thermal imaging the enemy might have.
He sneaked over to the landing zone where he saw several hostiles converging on the dropship! He broke out of cover and came in for the sneak attack! [roll]
"Oh shi-*SMACK* Varn was down on the ground. His head was ringing and he was sure that his nose was probably bleeding, even though his armor absorbed most of the impact. "Choir boy can hit hard." Pippin shot at him, but it only brought the zealot's attention to him "Heretic, your skills of accuracy are lacking. For your attempts to kill me are futile!".
Varn realized he had a golden opportunity. He got up and prepared the tazzer. Lets see how the Lord protects against 50 000 volts.
Pippin dropped his pistol and lost consciousness, sliding onto the floor.

Mini Roll Critical Success [highlight][9][/highlight] A Creed Frigate was trying to stop Archius from going anywhere, Lion fixed that when he went straight towards it and blasted his three salvos of projectiles right into the heart of the ship. It was a glorious sight to behold as the impact shattered the bridge greatly that the small frigate plummeted down to the ground.

Mini Roll [6] While it was worth a try the troopers spotted him the moment he step foot on their invasion. Sledge pulled out his hammer and used it to smash some soldiers down on the ground. Caving their heads in. Unfortunately he was in the open field, he went inside Roughrider and braced for the best.

Mini Roll [7]: As Kalpyr got distracted Varn prepared his moment and used his tazzer, bursting out 50 000 volts on to this sucker. Varn pressed down hard to his robes as he received the shock a few seconds the voltage sprang across his body but Kalpyr wasn't like any other warrior of God, he was commander of the 13th Fleet for a reason and attempted to resist the shock, regaining his strength to knock the tazer out of Varn's hands.
"I'm impressed but look around you, we outnumber you from 3:1, you may be tough but clearly there's a reality that even powerful men can fall within the situation."

Large futuristic ships were huddled together, black and red all over as the invisible cloaks deactivated. They were slowly advancing towards the Creed's fleet. Even a small frigate from the unknown force fired a beam so large and devastating that it destroyed a bigger ship on impact. The doom prevailed as the Creed's fleet returned fire at once, pulse rounds filling up the atmosphere with sounds of war.
"Retreat!" The Zealot yelled out to his men and they much replied by rushing to their LZ. Their dropships dropped down until a missile collided with a dropship. Exploding spectacularly. The shockwave affected Zealot Kalpyr the most nearly knocking him down to unconsciousness.
The invisible cloaks deactivated and men in [url=http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/136/f/d/The_Black_Hand_by_55blahh55.jpg] black intimidating armor arrived.[/url] Their breath was noisy and slow. At least a dozen wielded flamethrowers, plasma repeaters and much more. They surrounded the Archius Crew along with the Divinity Creed forces. They advanced towards them slowly like a pack of bulldozers. The Crimson Son were here. [/quote]
"Everywhere get on the dropship, we've already packed up this thing. Let's move it!" Jeremy yelled out as incoming muzzles spawned from every direction.
[The tazzer was part of the armor, but lets say Varn overclocked it and short circuit it.]
As the Zealot was running away, Varn had a feeling that they would meet again. He picked up his gun and got on the ship. "Lets get the hell out of here!"
