As Viper was done tearing though the squad of fanatics that was foolhardy enough to charge into the smoke screen with bayonets fixed. Viper had a clear view out of the clouds, after finishing off the last solder with a clean slice to the neck. Leaving him to drown in the blood filled waters as Viper ran though the flora to the Talon.
Viper arrive in a small clearing where the Talon landed, the rain was beginning to claim down as Viper was walking though an sallow pool of the water over to the Talon until noticing several splashes in the water heading directly to Viper.
Viper did a quick roll to right as a tree behind Viper was cut in to two instantly .
After standing back up and doing a quick overview of the area, Viper took a defensive stance as more splashes made paths in the water as they begin to surround Viper.
As lightning strikes the trees around swamp, the surroundings is lighted up as it roared. Revealing three sender figures in cloaks all around Viper, each 3ft from each other over 7ft in height and armed with blades made of pure crystal that had electric running though them. They were blocking the path to the Talon.
Their red eyes met with Viper's, these were not disposable thralls that were sent by the Divinity Creed but rather elites that were sent with a mission that required care and precision.
They disappeared as the lightning flashed the clearing again, Viper stood ready for their next strike.
"Wohoo! Yeah!" Yelled Lion as the frigate crashed into the ground. His joy was short however as a second fleet appeared, obliterating the Creed forces. A black and red frigate appeared just infront of Lion, forcing him to make evasive maneuvers.
"Shit!" Lion turned the ship around and watched the LZ get swarmed in black as unknown soldiers appeared.
He locked in four different locations around Roughrider and fired off four clustermissiles, each heading to their own designated mark.

Viper focused on his surroundings, every factor such as sound and visuals counted. He noticed these invincible cloaking devices weren't perfect however, an invisible figure approached to his quietly and carefully. A blade popped out and activated, deactivating the cloak.

Mini Roll Critical Failure![highlight][1][/highlight]: Realizing that fighting the unknown fleet head on was a death wish Lion went straight back to the LZ, he launched four cluster missiles around the Roughrider when they were getting swarmed with black troopers. The cluster missiles failed to hit any hostile contact.
One thing he didn't take note were anti aerial fighters on his tail. The unknown fighters appeared from the fleet, splitting away from the main army as they went to strike other enemies.
Lion's ship received blasts from unknown fighters which were at least three. Electrical wiring fell out of place and an update on the ship's status was moderate damage to the hull.
Jeremy fired a few rounds towards the unknown men, even some of the leftover Creed soldiers took part in the firefight. He saw Archius XI floating above the area. This was their time to leave, he contacted everyone on the mission who wasn't in the dropship. "This is my final call, all members on this mission retreat to Archius XI I repeat retreat to the Archius!" Jeremy said.
"Ten-four Cap." Said Lion while trying to shake off the hostile fighters. The stratoboosters had been knocked out in one of the hits, forcing Lion to rely on advanced maneuvers rather than speed.
In a last attempt to dish out towards the unknown enemy, Lion fired off all his remaining rockets towards the swarm of fighters.
These rockets had many different payloads such as clusterbombs, EMP's, incendiary and smoke.
Hopefully the mayhem caused by the rockets would buy the Archius some more time.
As the rain picked up, the stealth cloaks begin to blink and malfunction as water pour upon them. The claw-like hands ripped off these disposable rags as they shorted out in the rain. The Sight was shocking to say the least.
There bodies are butchered to extreme, there legs and arms were but stubs connecting to elongated and advanced cybernetics that end with claws holding long clear crystal blades in each in hands. The rain disintegrated as it drop down on top of them, A shield system most likely as they every little equipment and armor on them beside there blades and back packs.
Viper was too close now and the Roughrider was too far, the only way now was though them. Viper was armed and ready for whatever that ticks they might pull.
The communication system's of Exo-suit was jammed as well, leaving them and Viper alone in the clearing. Other Crimson Sons ran by towards the drop-ship, ignoring them as well staying clear as they moved.
There all stood there looking at Viper and Viper looking at each of them, it only last for a moment as they dashed forward to Viper who raised talons, activating it's Plasma blades and using the frontal arms to block there strikes as they lung forward.

Mini Roll [8]: In a desperate act to save his family. Lion launched all of his inventory to the enemy troopers. Cluster bombs were the first, EMPs didn't matter but they were still there, incendiary definitely. His bombing tore out at least a couple of soldiers on the ground but they still were determined to fire their weapons at their last breaths.
Lion sighed a load of relief and worried about himself for a sec now that they're safe.
Yanim had the engines prepped and roaring, wasting plasma as the excess thrust was vented from the blowoff valves, and was keeping the crew bay doors open using pilot's override. By this point everyone was inside except for Viper, but the moment she crossed through the threshold, Yanim was prepared to dump everything onto the diverters and "launch" the Roughrider.
As the seconds continued to tick by and the sounds of gunfire closed in, Yanim kept her eyes on the captain and waited for his signal. She began to wonder if he would sacrifice the whole crew waiting for one to return.
( I said that Viper would see him again in the stars, meaning that Viper was heading back to the Talon so I don't think he would be waiting for me. )

Mini Roll [7]: Viper activated his plasma blades to protect his forearms from damage as the they attacked him. Taking this opportunity Viper slashed one of them across the chest.

Yanim slammed the control stick back and opened the diverters wide. There was a loud "bang" followed by the screeching noise of overloaded engines. The craft bucked backwards as the crew compartment hatch shut itself as it arched over the field. Much like a rocket, the sudden release of energy boosted the craft more than two hundred meters into the air. With a twist of the stick, Yanim spun the whole craft around on its Y-axis until the nose was facing toward the Archius, and with every available thruster now pointed in the proper direction and the crew now alert, she increased acceleration to maximum. It was a bumpy, difficult ride.
Viper's frontal arm was able to ripped though the torso of the attacker, barely passing though his personal shields. He let out a inhuman shriek as his flesh was torn and armored blacked as the Plasma went deep into him before leaping back as blackish blood begin drip from the wound.
There rest responded with a synchronized attack towards Viper as ground trembled, throwing one off sync for a second. Viper used this very small window of opportunity to strike back with blades ready.

Mini Roll [2]: Viper's opportunity to break out the synced attack was nigh, if these things can bleed then he can kill them, however once he pressed forward to aim for the torsos his one blade collided with an electrical blade. Viper completely focused on one duel, holding off his assassin as the other two knocked him down from behind.
Lion circled the area over the artifact. "Roughrider, what's your status?"
Jeremy reached over the side of the interior, an intercom appeared as he heard a familiar voice.
"Roughrider, what's your status?" Lion spoke through, Jeremy held a button in response.
"This is Roughrider, we're retreating to the Archius. Viper is currently nowhere to be found. I don't see her ship flying."
Blow after blow was barely deflected by the wounded one as Viper blades clashed with his, Viper relentless focused on him. His moves becoming more and more sloppy as fell onto the ground, crawling away in water as Viper moved in.
Viper's push forward with intent was ending his life, only to lock blades as he block Viper's killing blow. It was a ruse for Viper as the other two stab their claws into Viper and threw the Sanghvi into the mud as the wounded assassin leap back up and charge into the downed Sanghvi in an all out attack.
Viper did everything possible to evade the incoming strike.
"Copy, continue to head back and I'll find Viper." Said Lion as he begun descending closer to the treeline. He could see that Talon was still parked at the LZ however he couldn't detect Viper's signature in that area.
Instead, he detected it a few meters into the jungle at a small clearing. He used the link between the ships to remotely access Talon's systems, making the ship come alive.
He went over to the clearing and begun hovering. Below were several hostiles alongside Viper who just attempted to finish one of them off when he was suddenly knocked to the ground. Lion started the PA system;
"Run!"
He fired off a salvo at the soldiers.

Mini Roll [8] Viper looked down at the mud, he noticed the wounded assassin still begged for fighting. He shifted to the side just as the assassin charged through, it could have been deadly. She saw an exploit and with all her might, teared off the arm wielding the sword. Viper threw it towards the mud, short circuiting.

Mini Roll Critical Success! [highlight][9][/highlight]: Once Jeremy told him about Viper being missing Lion was more eager to help out his chief security. He saw Viper tearing off an arm from a wounded assassin. The three assassin immediately saw their presence being noticed and Lion released a servo.
The servo worked out as planned, blasting the three into dust and making sure Viper was unscathed.
"Hoorah!" Yelled Lion over the intercom.
"Get moving, sir!" He said over the intercom before turning around the ship. He went over to the LZ and began transmitting a dummy signal at the sphere's used-to location where he had planted several explosives.

The shock of losing a mechanical limb left the wounded assassin stunned for a moment. The assassins begin to notice the ship flying above them, they are too late as a barrage of shells blasted one of the assassin into bits and other ones running into the forest as there comrade laid immobilize on the ground with the arms and legs were nothing but scrap metal and several wounds in the chest but still alive.
The wounded assassin pointed his remaining robotic claw at Viper as the assassins were retreated into the flora as Troopers begin to rush in from all directions, readying weapons.
Nevertheless, Viper leap up and begin to run over the Talon before seeing the incapacitated cyborg. The mask was torn and it's tubes cut, it's suit was blasted to ribbons and it's cybernetics all but destroyed.
It was a opportunity that Viper couldn't pass up, Viper Implant tethered to the Talon it in under a minute. The Talon sparked to life as it engaged it's systems for a imminent take off. The Talon begin to unload it's payload of several massive anti-ship warheads as Viper begin to danged the unconscious body of the assassin though the mud over to the empty compartment. After tearing off some of remaining bits of cybernetics, the assassin was able to pack into the compartment.
Viper climb into the ship as it was finishing folding it's landing gear up. Disengaging the tether with the Exo-suit as the Talon soared to life, closing the cockpit and compartment shut tightly igniting it's engines.
The day was far from over as the systems flash, the interface showed multiple AA signatures beginning show up around the Talon.
As the Talon begin to take lift, Viper braced back and ready up for a hell of a ride.

The Black Troopers realized their targets ran and secured the artifact site, circling around it to protect it from any contact coming near it.

"Affirmative sir." Havoc said and unchecked his radio. He walked up to the site observing it for a good moment until he turned. "Move out." He commanded and his platoon replied.
